Ces femmes et ces hommes engagent leur vie. Ils se battent au quotidien pour protéger les richesses naturelles de leurs territoires avec et pour les communautés qui en dépendent. Ils défendent des espèces protégées ou remarquables comme les grands singes ou les lamentins, ils gèrent les conflits hommes-faune, ils créent des aires protégées communautaires terrestres ou marines. Leur détermination et leur enthousiasme forcent l'admiration car la tâche est rude, Ils se sentent souvent seuls dans leur combat mais cette semaine, ce forum les rassemble.Avec :- Odette Kamano de Guinée-Conakry, juriste, elle se bat contre le trafic des espèces protégées avec son association ACPE pour Action Citoyenne pour la protection de l'environnement- Guillaume Tati du Congo-Brazzaville où il dirige l'ONG ESI Congo qui travaille avec les communautés dans le district de Kakamoeka, dans le sud-ouest du pays, pour protéger les grands singes. Il dirige aussi l'Alliance pour la conservation des grands singes d'Afrique centrale- Mikhail Padonou du Bénin. Il est chargé de projet au sein de l'association Éco Bénin qui développe, depuis 25 ans, des projets d'écotourisme avec les communautés dans tout le pays- Paul Esteve, coordinateur du Programme des petites Initiatives du Comité français de l'UICN.
