THE LAST EPISODE OF 2024!! ... ignore the fact we technically dropped this in 2025... Since we've been on a short hiatus, we jumped right into the topics that had the media in a frenzy: the civil lawsuit against Jay-Z and Luigi Mangione's deadly shooting of then-CEO of UnitedHealthcare, Brian Thompson. We also reacted to our unsurprising loss at the 2024 Boston Music Awards, looked back at our favorite BFTC moments of 2024, and shared our individual and podcast goals for 2025. In the second half of the episode is where things really started cooking! We spoke on the seemingly downward trajectory society has been heading in and questioned what year did things generally start going to sh-t (with politics, music, race relations, corporate monopolies, AI, etc.). We even entertained the conversation around young white men feeling "oppressed" in modern society (haha). It definitely made for a thought-provoking conversation that's fitting for such a strange year in history. Goodbye 2024 and hello 2025! Rob, Yves, and Tomo are back with another week of "Bad For The Community"! After reacting to a funny video of a Black man code-switching to get a white woman's number, we discussed whether code-switching is a valuable skill or fraudulent behavior. As the holiday season gears up, Matty Owens joins the show via phone call to talk about his Christmas music project and his collaborations with artists in the Boston community. We later shared our most memorable Christmas memories, including the time Yves got beat for opening his Christmas gift early. In the second half of the episode, we shared our hilarious takes on different hypothetical moral dilemmas (e.g. "would you save your partner or 5 strangers?"). Things turned high-stakes as we debated whether we would flip a coin for a chance at $10 million or settle for a guaranteed $100,000. What would you, the viewer, do in that scenario?? This episode's got everything you've grown to love about Bad For The Community! On this week's episode, BFTC kicked off by discussing if music videos even matter anymore, what the difference between an "artist" and a "creative" is, and also, things start to get heated between Tomo & Rob over a battle of semantics. Later on, Tomo & Yves recapped their "Mind of a Hustla" art exhibit, Nate unboxed his new sneakers gifted from Converse, which led to a Nike vs Adidas debate and other funny sneaker hot takes. The second half is when things start to heat up! After reacting to Burna Boy's comments about the Afrobeats genre lacking substance, the guys share a funny exchange about Rob's girlfriend going on a Miami vacation... with her single friends. The guys also previewed the upcoming Ultimate Iron Chamber event (Sept. 23rd), reacted to Miguel's insane (and gross) performance stunt , and discussed the potential threats of an AI-driven future. 2021 was a great year for us as it was the 1st time we won “Best Music Podcast” at the #BostonMusicAwards and seemingly opened up our audience to new supporters within our growing scene. That was also the year that birthed another #Boston music podcast that is gaining heavy traction, “Bad For The Community”! This group of young Black men consist of 4 very different creatives from Boston & Brockton; The 508 God (FKA Young Rob), Nate Nics, Tomo, & Snt Yves— who got together to form a music podcast tackling an assortment of topics ranging from their personal art to social issues. We've seen the work they've done for the past 2 years and after appearing on their podcast in late 2022, the time has come for us to collaborate again for a long overdue & transparent conversation. #CharlieMaSheen has once mentioned that BFTC is the top music podcast in the city for creatives under 30 years old while we cater mostly to the 30+ crowd and this exchange of words couldn't have displayed this any more accurately. While we share many similarities we have very different views on the world and society as a whole. The one thing we do stand on time and time again is GOOD MUSIC; whatever our perceptions of that may be. Join Charlie MaSheen & #KASH as we host Bad For The Community at The Garage Media Center over a talk about their origin, their different types of art, the music scene in Boston (& surrounding areas), confronting Charlie about his stance on the #transgender community, & SO MUCH MORE‼️ We shared a lot of laughs and we also seemed  agreed to disagree on a number of things but this podcast is not one to skip over AT ALL‼️ We also wrapped up w/ 4
