But can the Nittany Lions beat Ohio State? The Pirates made a move, so Jason reacted to the Caleb Ferguson signing and doesn't think the team does much more. Jason projected that the Pirates will yet again have a bottom three payroll in baseball. Jason gave his score prediction for Steelers-Ravens, and he likes the Ravens 24-14, citing a costly Steelers turnover.

Are the Steelers being disrespected? The line for the game is around 10 and we found out Zay Flowers will be out on Saturday night, but the line didn't move. Brian O'Nora was the home plate umpire for last night's Astros-Padres game. The Astros players (namely Caleb Ferguson) and coaches (Alex Cintron) didn't like his work. Adam Clanton is not a huge fan of Brian O'Nora the guy. O'Nora was arrested as part of a 'buying-sex-via-the-internet' sting in Liberty Township, OH. in 2020. He would eventually plead down to lesser misdemeanor charges. However, Clanton cannot stand that O'Nora continues to be a Major League Baseball umpire.

The Astros were one out away from taking the first of a three-game series against the Texas Rangers before Josh Smith hit a two-run homer off reliever Caleb Ferguson. Despite a quality start from Hunter Brown, who allowed one run on three hits and two walks over six innings, the Astros offense continued to struggle, going 1-for-9 with runners in scoring position, including 1-for-7 with the bases loaded. "We've gotten away from who we are as an offense," but "we'll snap out of it," Espada said. "There's no denying" that "fatigue sets in, both mentally and physically...we have to fight and grind through it." Pedro Leon was called up from Triple-A Sugar Land and made his Major League debut Saturday in right field. Leon has "the athleticism and the explosiveness," and we "will continue to give him some opportunities." General manager Dana Brown suggested that the Astros could call up Shay Whitcomb and/or Zach Dezenzo, and Espada relayed that message, saying they are "strongly considering bringing those guys up." Young players "can give some of our veterans" rest, but "you want them to land on their feet" when they get to the Majors. Yusei Kikuchi made his Astros debut Friday, pitching 5.2 innings and giving up three hits, two earned runs and three walks. Kikuchi is expected to return to the mound for the Astros on Wednesday. "I expect him to go out there and have another strong performance."

The New York Yankees won two out of three games against the Tampa Bay Rays this weekend, and they won those two games in different ways. On Sunday, they walked and hit singles in order to have a big four-run inning to take a lead while on Friday, Juan Soto hit a three-run home run that made it sound like a playoff game was being held in April. There were still some issues rearing their ugly heads this weekend against the Rays, like Aaron Judge and his four strikeouts on his bobblehead day and his lack of extra-base hits, Caleb Ferguson is having issues and picked up his third loss of the season—the Yankees only have seven. Luis Gil improved on Sunday, and Nestor Cortes was the bad luck starter who pitched well but wasn't given run support. Then, Stacey looks at how the farm did this past week.
