Chris Andersen is a seasoned show host with a background in athletic training, who transitioned into content creation after encountering personal life events. His perspective on video content is that it's an invaluable tool for personal branding and business growth, especially in today's digital age where human interaction is increasingly replaced by online and AI-generated content. Drawing from his own journey of overcoming initial nervousness to developing proficiency in interviewing, Andersen firmly believes that video content can deliver authenticity and establish a connection with the audience. He also emphasizes that by leveraging video, individuals can differentiate themselves, build trust, establish credibility, and ultimately stay ahead in the competitive market. Andersen's experiences and interactions with notable figures like Bob Proctor have also shaped his belief in the power of video content to not only add value to the audience, but also develop essential skills like communication, relationship-building, and storytelling.

It's the SNOW Highway Option finale episode! We're playing with all of our Transformers that we unwrapped under the tree. I bet our pretend storylines were just as cohesive as what Michael Bay cooked up. CHRIS ANDERSEN (Uncle Monster's Spooky Time Fright Hour) joins the boys on a trip to New York, Paris, Philadelphia, vague totally-not-Penn-but-yeah-it's-Penn University, and Egypt as they hunt down Decepticons and discuss TRANSFORMERS: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN. 2 of us have nostalgia for this movie in particular, while one has more nostalgia for the franchise as a whole. Because, honestly, who isn't nostalgic for Optimus Prime in some fashion? Join them as they answer such questions as: Can our inner child overtake a movie being bad? Does this movie have a prime demographic? Should Transformers be able to swim? How does this compare to the six(?!) other Transformers flicks? and How Bumblebee do that with his radio? among many others... Thank you for coming on, Chris! For a locked room labeled “Marketing Spend,” the CFO holds the keys. And they aren't going to be quick to hand them over, either. This all-important alliance depends on the CMO's fluency in CFO-speak, AKA how $1 into marketing will equal more $$$ out. Luckily, it's not too hard a language to pick up.  In this episode, we're airing three Q&As with three CFOs who laid out their formulas for a great CMO/CFO alliance during a recent CMO Huddles Super Huddle (a bi-annual mega-huddle exclusively for our community of B2B CMOs). Tune in for some wonderful insights from Chris Andersen of Acquia, Nicole Anasenes of Ansys, and John Evarts (now President and COO) of Mediafly—insights that CMOs just might want to share with a CFO who's on the fence about the power of marketing.  For full show notes and transcripts, visit https://renegade.com/podcasts/ To learn more about CMO Huddles, visit https://cmohuddles.com/

In this episode, we learn more about the firm and some great client case-studies that really highlight their unique approach. Chris is interested in how a podcast could amplify the message and brand of the firm, and we had a great conversation brainstorming some different ways in which a podcast would be beneficial to the firm and the people they can best help. I've been running Beers With Mates for three years now and when we went through the process of creating the logo and slogan, a few mates and I put our heads together and came up with Solid Chat: Stronger Contact. Now, what this means for me is that, as you start to open up to your mates about what's really happening in your life, they're given the opportunity to step up as mates to support you. At the same time, once you open up, it opens the door for them to do the same and you're able to now become more honest with one another which forges a much stronger friendship. I've been pretty open about my struggles with depression and I've shared that story previously but, if I'm really honest, that's not my key struggle when it comes to mental health and some of my close mates will know that. Today, I'd like to walk you through the full story of what's been happening with me because: 1, I'm lucky to now be in a secure job where my boss knows the story and is open with me sharing it; and 2. In learning to better manage my mental health, it was these stories from people with shared experience that really helped me, so I hope to be able to do the same.

Senseless, tragic and disturbing: words that rush to mind upon hearing the news of last week’s killing of Colten Boushie. A 22-year-old resident of the Red Pheasant First Nation in western Canada, Boushie was shot to death after he and four other Indigenous young people drove onto the property of 54-year-old, non-Indigenous farmer Gerald Stanley in hopes of getting help with a flat tire. What happened next is still under investigation, but that hasn’t stopped some from drawing and sharing their own hurtful and hateful conclusions via social media. Our guests this week both hail from Saskatchewan: Tasha Hubbard is a documentarian and assistant professor of English at the University of Saskatchewan; Chris Andersen is interim dean at the University of Alberta’s faculty of Native Studies. They share their thoughts as to what Boushie's death—and its contentious aftermath—might tell us about the state of Indigenous/non-Indigenous relations in that province and beyond. // Our theme: 'nesting' by Birocratic.

Denver attorney Scott Goldman of Goldman Law, LLC joins the show to help break down the felony charges against Elvis Dumervil. Should Broncos fans be worried about missing their defensive star? What will prosecutors have to prove? Just what did that Victoria's Secret employee see? Goldman has all the answers and he's got jokes too. Ross and Nate also talk NBA Summer League as Timmons was in Las Vegas over the weekend as a member of the media getting some inside looks at the Nuggets. Chris Andersen is also discussed ... Marc Stein of ESPN had reported that Birdman would not be amnestied and that caused Nate to be quite confused and after the show, friend of the podcast, Benjamin Hochman reported that indeed Birdman WOULD be amnestied. Plus, what happens when Ross dressed up like Peyton Manning a few Halloween's ago? He almost got pummeled - that would never happen now, right?!?
