Click to Subscribe: https://bit.ly/Youtube-Subscribe-SoapDirt General Hospital actor Cameron Mathison, known for playing Drew Quartermaine, has stirred some controversy among fans regarding his character's relationship with Willow (Katelyn MacMullen). While promoting his new holiday movie at Christmas Con, Mathison made comments about the potential for Drew and Willow to become a 'super couple'. This has been met with mixed reactions from the show's audience, with many expressing their dislike for the pairing on the ABC soap opera. GH fans see Mathison's comparison of the Drew and Willow relationship to the infamous Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary) and Laura Spencer (Genie Francis) pairing from the show's history has further fueled the controversy. Despite the backlash, the actor remains confident about the future of Drew and Willow's relationship. With Chad Duell's departure from General Hospital early next year, the storyline appears to be moving towards a focus on Willow and Drew as a couple. Christmas Con is over and this podcast is overdue - next year I'm going to clone myself like The Santa Clause 2 so everything goes out on time! Hallmark crushed the weekend with a Ted Lasso Jan Maas movie (just don't watch it if you're Norwegian apparently) and Lifetime brought us divas. What a weekend! Hallmark Movies and Mysteries earned an apology from me and Melissa Peterman made an appearance on UpTV. Find all that and more now and look for a special Christmas Con recap podcast sometime this week…hopefully.

Okay, let's wrap up our coverage of Dragon Con 2023! (Because come on, if this recap goes on much longer, we'll have to include Dragon Con 2024...) Kevin and the Mayor of Chickentown (reporting from Maine in the middle of a hurricane) are here to run through every crazy thing that happened over the last two days of the convention. Including: Bionic fun with Lindsay Wagner and Lee Majors, the Battle of the Mad Scientists, the Battle of the Fictional Bands, Christmas Con (with Robot Santa and horrifying holiday Spam), an ALF script reading (with Chris from Sci-Fi Explosion as ALF!), a Wonder Woman script reading (with Kevin as Steve Trevor, the Mayor as Etta Candy, and Joe in a gorilla suit!), panels on Stargirl and Titans with the American Sci-Fi and Fantasy Media Track, more hot Manimal talk with the American Sci-Fi Classics Track, and the upcoming Dragon Con-themed benefit book Dragon Tales! (Kevin wrote a chapter for this book. And it's quite silly, believe it or not.) Plus: Our favorite costumes, including a bizarre giant rubber chicken, a Weird Al group with tiny accordions, an eerily accurate Wilford Brimley, our friend Martha as Booster Gold, a million Mrs. Ropers, and a billion Barbies. Disney Fine Arts Artist, New Jersey Native, Clinton Hobart Brings the Holiday Cheer to Christmas Con, Pasadena, CA, 2022. Clinton Hobart went from painting fruit, to snack foods landing his “A Portrait of Doritos” in the private collection of actor Michael Rooker from 'Guardians Of The Galaxy' and 'The Walking Dead'. In addition to painting snack foods and Disney Fine Arts, Hobart also paints still-life, portraits, cosplay paintings, and ocean waves. He has been featured on NBC News, FOX News, The CW, ABC News, and American Artist magazine. Appearing on CBS News with Scott Pelle after a Chinese company sold forged copies of his paintings online. According to Hobart his website, "...the Huffington Post mentioned the story in an article stating that Clinton was part of a 'sting operation.'” Hobart sold out of almost every item during Christmas Con, leading to commissions and prints being mailed out to fans who purchased his work in attendance. We caught up with Hobart at Christmas Con 2022 in Pasadena, CA where he was a featured guest and did painting demonstrations for fans in attendance. We joked about life, art, anyone being good enough to play for the New York Mets, when discussing athletic prowess, knowing from an early age that he wasn't cut out for any other career than in the arts and how that snack chip ended up coming to life. Hobart also spoke with us about his favorite Christmas movie among other things during our chat on the convention room floor. Follow Clinton Hobart on Twitter @ClintonHobart and on Instagram @clintonhobart. Visit his official website at www.clintonhobart.com. James Lott Jr gives his review and account of Christmas Con in Pasadena CA in August. HE went the Saturday it was on!
During Christmas Con 2022 in Pasadena, CA we spoke with founders Liliana Kligman and Christina Figliolia talking about the holidays, their favorite movies, the Genesis of Christmas Con and 90s Con. Christmas Con Pasadena was originally schedule for August, 2020, but we all remember quite well what happened that year, so after a two year delay, Christmas Con 2022 had arrived and did not disappoint. This was the West Coast trial run for Christmas Con as the one in New Jersey houses triple the attendees. Though, Pasadena will not be far behind next year as the expected growth will surely make Hallmark Christmas movie fans, and lovers of the holidays alike come out in droves to meet not only their favorite stars, but be cheery and bright. Unlike several conventions I have attended in the past, Christmas Con not only had the holiday vibe and spirit, but each Hallmark notable guest was kind and engaging with their fans, from host Jonathan Bennett and headliner, Lacey Chebert, as well as the Jen Lilley, Jesse Hutch and so many others. In fact, the only thing really missing was the hot chocolate, but Pasadena in August, it was okay that the warm drinks went missing in 95 degree weather. All this is a testament to not only the professionalism but also the friendship between Kligman and Figliolia, who have put together two larger Christmas Con events in New Jersey, but also 90s Con in Connecticut. Word has it, that 90s Con has been requested to have secondary events in Florida as well as here in California and we couldn't be more excited for that possibility. Kligman and Figliolia are already planning for Christmas Con 2023 in California the reaction of the attendees, it is understandable. Christmas Con is a generational event where grandparents and grandchildren came out to celebrate the love of the Christmas season and their favorite films with their favorite actors. Christmas Con will return to New Jersey December 9, 10 & 11, 2022 New Jersey Convention Center in Edison, NJ, and next summer here in California. Start planning ahead by visiting That's 4 Entertainment's official website www.thats4entertainment.com to plan for Christmas Con and 90s Con across the U.S. in the coming months. #Christmas #ChristmasCon #ChristmasMovies #HallmarkChristmasMovies #Interview #FanboyNation

We are almost back from our vacation! So in the meantime we wanted to release the full Kerry Frances interview, just for you Gentle Listener. She is a hoot and talks about Christmas Con meeting the Hallstars and acting in the movie Knives Out. We enjoyed talking with her and hope you enjoy the interview as much as we did. See you all soon.
It's the last episode of Mangia March and we are covering Welcome to Mama's. We are joined at the top of the episode by Kerry Frances who tells us about acting, singing and being an impromptu reporter at Christmas Con, where she got to interview our favorite Hallmark stars! Then we dive into the tale of Amy, played by Melanie Scrofano who inherits a struggling restaurant and its truculent head chef named Frank, played by Daniel di Tomasso. Their tempers sizzle over what direction the restaurant should take but an old love story and a book full of recipes point them in the right direction. In this meaty story we discuss if Hallmark fan fiction could include Frank ending up with Sal, Corinne's love for Matty Finochio's eyebrows and the need for emotional support sock puppets especially at a family style dinner. Our new motto this month is 'No spelled backwards is On' and this episode is On so we hope you join us because there is a standing reservation for you, at Welcome to Mama's.
