They discuss the 21-day window for Burrow's possible reactivation and weigh the chances of him suiting up by Thanksgiving for the key matchup against the Baltimore Ravens. What a week! So many takes being took right now. Think about it: If not for the Browns, the 2 worst teams in football would reside in New York. And if not for a Jackson Dart concussion, Brian Daboll would still be the head coach of the Giants. Sean McDermott is wasting Josh Allen's prime. Epidurals should be considered PEDs. (Matt Stafford couldn't move in preseason. Now he's having the best year of his career.) If the Patriots win the AFC East, Drake Maye has to be the MVP. Meanwhile, let's keep the Sam Darnold MVP take and add onto it the Seattle Seahawks Super Bowl Favorite takes! We vet all these thoughts with Jonathan Zaslow. Then former NFL lineman Geoff Schwartz tells us why it's so hard to bet on NFL games. Matt Jones and Drew Franklin discuss their busy weekends before diving into NFL Week 10! The Patriots notch an impressive win over the Bucs. Daniel Jones and the Colts moved to 8-2 with a win in Berlin. The Bears collect another comeback win as Russell Wilson plays for the Giants. The Jets made history in a victory against the Browns. The Jaguars collapsed in the 4th quarter with the Texans. Matt mentions the lasting impact of former NFL Commissioner Paul Tagliabue, who passed away. The most surprising result of the day had to be the Dolphins win over the Bills. Josh Allen has a bad day as Matt is also knocked out of the Survivor Pool. After a 1-5 start, the Ravens have now won 3 straight games. The Panthers fall to the Saints. Matt thinks the flyover at the Commanders game was a bit too low. The Seahawks cruised past the Cardinals. Did Matt Stafford fuel his MVP hopes in big Rams win? The Steelers have lost 3 of 4 after losing to the Chargers. November 10, 2025 - Season 16, Episode 48 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Monday morning episode, Alex Kozora and I get right into our overarching thoughts on the Pittsburgh Steelers' Week 10 Sunday night road loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. In our weekly housekeeping portion of this Monday show, which is sponsored by the fine folks at TouringPlans.com, Alex and I talk about the Sunday night inactive list, the few injuries sustained by the Steelers in their 25-10 loss to the Chargers, and the few transactions the team has made since our Friday show. The Steelers played very poorly on offense against the Chargers and QB Aaron Rodgers had a big hand in that. We discuss the offensive woes the Steelers had against the Chargers and that includes the unit's ineffectiveness on third downs and the inability to produce explosive plays. We discuss a few huge misses that Rodgers had down the field and the running game only had just a few bright spots on Sunday night. The two interceptions are discussed in addition to the failed fourth and goal play. Overall, we struggle to produce very many positive things to say about Pittsburgh's offensive effort on Sunday night other than to conclude it was very offensive to watch. While the Steelers' defensive play wasnt awful against the Chargers, the unit still failed to register any takeaways to go along with their five sacks of QB Justin Herbert. We discuss the good, bad, and the ugly when it comes to the Sunday night play of that side of the football. We discuss the quick snap to throw time of Herbert. The few big plays the Chargers offense registered, and much more. The Steelers weren't great when it came to special teams play on Sunday night, so we go over that phase of the game from the Sunday night loss as well. Should the Steelers be heavy favorites in Week 11 against the Cincinnati Bengals? Is this more than just a middling 2025 Steelers team we are all watching? Are at least five more wins this season for the Steelers a lock? We discuss those several questions later on in this show. Will we soon see WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling get playing time on offense? Should such a thing happen in the coming weeks? Alex and I address those few questions late in this show as well. This 88-minute episode also discusses several other minor topics not noted and we wrap things up by answering several emails we received from listeners. steelersdepot.com Learn more about your ad choices. On the Monday episode of the North Shore Drive podcast, presented by FanDuel and Edgar Snyder & Associates, Post-Gazette Steelers insider Christopher Carter welcomes enterprise reporter Noah Hiles to sort through the team's NFL Week 10 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers at SoFi Stadium. Is 41-year-old QB Aaron Rodgers hitting a wall after his rough performance? Or did he just have a bad night? And what does he need to do to be more productive with his pass catchers. DK Metcalf in particular after his own quiet night. But also depth options including Calvin Austin III, Roman Wilson, Pat Freiermuth, Darnell Washington and Jonnu Smith? Our duo tackles those topics, then talks defense. Are the changes coach Mike Tomlin and DC Teryl Austin have made in the past couple of weeks working? From shifting Jalen Ramsey to safety to deploying James Pierre more at corner alongside Joey Porter Jr., Darius Slay and Brandin Echols? And will T.J. Watt, Cam Heyward, Payton Wilson, Patrick Queen, Alex Highsmith and Nick Herbig have more answers with a rematch against the AFC North rival Cincinnati Bengals looming in Week 11? Heading into their Week 10 bye on November 7, 2025, the Cincinnati Bengals sit at 3-6, a record that masks a tale of two teams: an offense firing on all cylinders under Joe Flacco's steady hand, and a defense that's not just bad—it's etching itself into the annals of NFL infamy. Paul Brown Stadium buzzes with cautious optimism for the attack, but the back end's collapse has fans dreaming of duct tape and prayer. Joe Flacco, the 40-year-old bridge quarterback thrust into the spotlight amid Joe Burrow's latest injury woes, has been nothing short of revelatory. In six starts, he's posted a 105.2 passer rating, slicing defenses with a 71% completion clip and 12 touchdowns to just three picks. His pocket presence—honed from two Super Bowl runs—has unlocked the Bengals' weapons. Ja'Marr Chase is a one-man highlight reel, scorching secondaries for 1,100 yards and nine scores, while Tee Higgins' midseason return has added a vertical terror, averaging 18 yards per catch. The run game? Revitalized, with Chase Brown pounding out 650 yards at 5.2 per carry, feeding off an offensive line that's gelled into a mauling unit. They've erupted for 31 points per game over the last four outings, turning shootouts into symphonies. Flacco's veteran savvy—calling audibles like a chess master—has this group humming, a far cry from the Burrow-less sputters of years past. Yet, for all the offensive fireworks, the defense is a dumpster fire of historic proportions. Surrendering 35 points per contest—the worst in franchise lore and bottom-feeder league-wide—they've allowed 4,200 total yards already, more than most full seasons. The secondary is Swiss cheese: corners like Cam Taylor-Britt and Mike Hilton torched for 1,200 passing yards and 12 TDs, with safeties Vonn Bell and Jordan Battle whiffing tackles like pros at a piñata party. Up front, the pass rush is anemic—eight sacks total, none from a depleted D-line missing B.J. Hill to injury. Run stuffers? Laughable, coughing up 160 yards per game on the ground. Lou Anarumo's schemes look like relics from the West Coast offense era. Zac Taylor's squad enters the break with a prayer: harness the bye for scheme tweaks and youth infusions. Offense can carry them to 9-8 and a wild-card sniff, but without defensive voodoo—trades? Miracles?—this Bengal pride risks another winter of what-ifs. Flacco's magic buys time, but history whispers: firepower alone doesn't forge rings. Fans roar for resurrection; the D must awaken, or it's just Bengal fireworks fizzling in the Ohio chill Music from #InAudio: https://inaudio.org/ Track Name Holy (Trap). Matt Jones and Drew Franklin begin Week 10 with a look at the NFL heading to Berlin for Falcons/Colts. The Jets were sellers at the trade deadline picking up a few first round picks. The Cowboys and Colts are making it clear that they're looking for success this season. What other trades caught your attention on Tuesday? The Cardinals are sticking with Jacoby Brissett at QB, but what does that mean for Kyler Murray's future in Arizona? The Seahawks tried a new kickoff strategy, will it catch on? Looking at the AFC and NFC odds, which team are the favorites? Jayden Daniels, Tucker Kraft, and Joe Alt injuries will have impact on the rest of the season. Onto Week 10, Matt and Drew pick their 3 favorite games of the week. The Rams and 49ers is a marquee game in Sunday's late window. Steelers/Chargers on Sunday Night could be a showcase for Aaron Rodgers. Can the Packers rebound at home while facing the Eagles? Welcome to Steelers Morning Rush, our new daily short-form podcast with Alan Saunders, giving a longer perspective on a single news topic surrounding the Pittsburgh Steelers or the National Football League. Today, it's the roller coaster of emotion that Steeler Nation has been riding the last two weeks. After consecutive losses to the Cincinnati Bengals and Green Bay Packers, the pitchforks and torches were out, with a large portion of the fanbase wanting to fire Mike Tomlin despite a 4-3 start that had the team in first place. Two days after a win over the Indianapolis Colts, the fanbase is now aflame that general manager Omar Khan had the audacity to stand pat with the very same squad the fanbase wanted to jettison, instead of going all in on winning a championship this season. In the swirling vortex of MLB free agency speculation, few names ignite Ohioan hearts quite like Kyle Schwarber's. The burly left-handed slugger, fresh off another cannonball season with the Phillies—where he mashed 47 homers and drew walks like a magnet—has suddenly become the belle of the Reds' rumor ball. As the 2025-26 offseason heats up, Cincinnati's front office, under Nick Krall's steady hand, is reportedly eyeing a seismic shift: luring Schwarber home to the banks of the Ohio River. Born in Middletown, just a stone's throw from Great American Ball Park, Schwarber's Midwestern roots make this feel less like a signing and more like a homecoming barbecue. The chatter kicked off in late October, fueled by anonymous whispers from "NL Central insiders" at the Winter Meetings prelude. Picture this: Schwarber, the ultimate three-true-outcomes beast (home runs, walks, strikeouts), slotting into the Reds' revamped lineup alongside Elly De La Cruz's fireworks and Matt McLain's grit. Great American, with its short porches and hitter-friendly confines, could turn Schwarber into a 50-homer demigod, boosting a rotation still smarting from Hunter Greene's injury woes. Rumor has it the Reds are dangling a five-year, $125 million pact—player-friendly opt-outs included—to outbid suitors like the Cubs (ironic family reunion?) or Yankees, who crave his October thunder. But oh, the caveats! Schwarber's defensive "adventures" in left field—more adventure than acumen—might clash with the Reds' youth movement. And at 33, is he the long-term anchor or a bridge to contention? Fans in Cincy dream of him launching moonshots over the river, channeling Pete Rose's fire with modern power. Yet skeptics point to Philly's reluctance to let him walk, given his clubhouse glue role. If it happens, it's poetic: the Middletown Hammer returning to swing for the fences in red. For now, it's all smoke and mirrors—delicious, Reds-tinted smoke. Will it ignite? Stay tuned; the hot stove's just warming up. Music from #InAudio: https://inaudio.org/ Track Name Holy (Trap). NFL Week 9 reactions has us reeling from a great day of football! The Buffalo Bills defeated the Kansas City Chiefs in another Josh Allen-Patrick Mahomes classic. Sam Darnold dominated the Washington Commanders on Sunday Night Football. The Indianapolis Colts came back to earth as the Pittsburgh Steelers' defense finally came through. The Chicago Bears and Cincinnati Bengals played one of the drunkest games ever, the Vikings beat the Lions, and the Patriots escaped the Falcons. Unfortunately, there were a few injuries this week with Tucker Kraft and Jayden Daniels both leaving their respective games, impacting not just those games but likely the rest of the season. On today’s episode, Jason discusses how the Buffalo Bills were able to force Patrick Mahomes into one of the worst performances of his NFL career, why it's so hard to figure out which NFL teams are actually good on a week-to-week basis, which two teams he'd pick to make the Super Bowl if he had to decide today (Bills and Philadelphia Eagles), what the NFL needs to change to ensure that we don't see more injuries to quarterbacks like Jayden Daniels and CJ Stroud, and why the Chicago Bears win over the Cincinnati Bengals was the most awesomely bad game of the weekend. Finally, J-Mac closes the show by dispelling the notion that the Los Angeles Dodgers winning the World Series is somehow bad for Major League Baseball. #OddCouple Follow Jason on Twitter and Instagram.
