On this episode of the JT Sports Podcast, JT explains why the Cincinnati Bengals are about to shock the entire NFL and run the table. JT breaks down how the Cincinnati Bengals are heating up at the perfect time with Joe Burrow back, Trey Hendrickson returning, and the Ravens and Steelers collapsing in real time. He dives into why John Harbaugh and Mike Tomlin may be coaching their final games, why Shadur Sanders is being unfairly scapegoated in Cleveland, and why Bryce Young's final five-game stretch will determine the entire future of the Carolina Panthers. JT also exposes how roster decay has finally caught up to the Kansas City Chiefs and reveals the five biggest pretenders who got exposed after Thanksgiving.
It was out of bounds for Lane Kiffin to accept the LSU job and also think he could keep coaching Ole Miss. That's what Jonathan Zaslow thinks. He also says Alabama has a shot at nabbing a top four spot with a win in the SEC Championship. In the NFL, parity is ruining and making everything interesting. (Side note: every time you watch the Lions do you think to yourself, maybe it was Ben Johnson all along?) Then we get intel on the Chiefs collapse with former Chief lineman Geoff Schwartz. He also gets into the weeds with Mike Tomlin and team dynamics and why a veteran like Cam Heyward losing his mind on Josh Allen is bad omen. Matt Jones and Drew Franklin are still buzzing over an amazing few days of Thanksgiving NFL and Week 13! Which teams do Matt no longer consider a contender? Drew is looking for a strong finish from the Bengals. The Cowboys and Chiefs delivered a classic and leave you wondering about the future of both franchises. The Lions have lost 2 of 3 while the Packers are coming together. The Bears win makes Matt think they have a chance this season. What has happened to the Eagles and Saquon Barkley? The Rams took a surprising loss to the Panthers. Matt likes showing the locker room speeches, but thinks shirts should be left on. The Texans improved to 7-5 win a win over the Colts. Shedeur Sanders loses his 2nd start for the Browns. The Bucs ended a 3 game losing streak. The Vikings season continues to slide. Justin Herbert injures his non-throwing hand and Matt says he might be 'afraid' of Maxx Crosby. The Steelers fall to the Bills leaving plenty of questions about Pittsburgh. Rich recaps the San Francisco 49ers Week 13 win over the Browns, and Auntie Jackie from Virginia calls in to offer her spot-on assessment of Shedeur Sanders' latest start for Cleveland, and explains why (for his own selfish reasons perhaps???) the Cincinnati Bengals' playoff hopes are still alive with the return of Joe Burrow. Rich reacts to the Carolina Panthers improving to 6-5 on the year with a Week 13 upset over the Los Angels Rams sparked by forcing 3 turnovers by Matthew Stafford. The guys weigh in on the Browns' en masse bashing of WR Jauan Jennings' crossing-the-line trash talk in San Francisco's win, just a week after the 49ers WR was punched in the nether region by Panthers DB Tre'von Moehrig. Thanksgiving Football! Chris and Kyle Long run through the Thanksgiving games from Week 13 of the 2025 NFL season and breakdown the action. The Dallas Cowboys look like a team that nobody wants to play right now, a far cry from their lackluster defense early in the season. Quinnen Williams has been a godsend, with his defensive performances equaling the output of Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens on the offensive side of the ball. It is getting late early for the Kansas City Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes. The Green Bay Packers have swept the Detroit Lions in their matchups this season. Jordan Love was dynamic against the blitz, Matt LaFleur dialed up a great gameplan and Micah Parsons is a game wrecker. And in Joe Burrow's return, the Cincinnati Bengals defense was incredible. Lamar Jackson was contained and Derrick Henry was held in check as the Bengals inched closer to a longshot playoff spot. Burrow's Status: Bruce gives his take on whether a healthy Burrow should continue to play behind a struggling line. Defensive Woes: Lap & Bruce breaks down the lack of physicality and the "shoulder tackling" epidemic plaguing the Bengals' defense. O-Line Analysis: What is happening with the line during stunts and blitzes? The Final Stretch: How the team finds motivation with a brutal remaining schedule (Ravens, Bills, Dolphins). The Patriots hold off the Bengals. The Raiders have fired Chip Kelly as their OC. Matt explains why the Seahawks could be better than we think while Jaxon Smith-Njigba is making history. The Packers win, but how much concern is there from the Vikings with JJ McCarthy? Matt was still impressed with Jameis Winston in a Giants loss. It was an amazing win for the Cowboys while the Eagles offense struggles late. Shedeur Sanders wins his first start facing the Raiders. The Jaguars win in OT and are on track for the playoffs. Are the Rams the best team in the NFL? Plus, we wrap up with Monday Night Football's matchup between the 49ers and Panthers! See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
A wild Week 12 across the NFL. Matthew Stafford led a dominating performance of the LA Rams over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers who lost Baker Mayfield during the first half. Sean McVay has the Rams rolling and in the top spot in the NFC. The Dallas Cowboys came back on the Philadelphia Eagles and knocked them off. The Eagles still lead the NFC East but Jalen Hurts, Saquon Barkley and AJ Brown still seem lost. Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens on the other hand, do not seem lost together and are lining up one of the best NFL offenses in the league. The Kansas City Chiefs had a comeback of their own, holding the Indianapolis Colts offense scoreless on their last 4 drives to keep their playoff chances alive. Daniel Jones and Jonathan Taylor ran into Steve Spagnuolo's buzzsaw defense and looked very different than the dominant offense they looked like in their previous games. The Patriots defeated the Bengals, the Bears got past the Steelers and the Lions escaped the Giants and we cover all that and more in our Week 12 reactions!
