Dean Blundell joins Zev Shalev for the third installment of Narativ Canada. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has a list of members of Parliament who are either actively engaged with or at high risk of foreign interference, putting Parliament Hill in crisis. The bombshell disclosure came at Canada's Foreign Interference Inquiry, during which Trudeau expressed frustration at Opposition Leader Pierre Poilievre's continued refusal to receive top-secret security briefings about the threat. I have the names of a number of parliamentarians, former parliamentarians, and/or candidates in the Conservative Party of Canada, who are engaged or at high risk of, or for whom there is clear intelligence around foreign interference," PM Justin Trudeau under oath. The Prime Minister emphasized that his government has directed CSIS to inform the Conservative Party leader about these security risks, but Poilievre's refusal to receive classified briefings means "nobody in his party, nobody in a position of power knows the names of these individuals and can take appropriate action." Indian Government's Deep Infiltration Exposed The revelations come amid mounting evidence of Indian government interference in Canadian politics. The RCMP has uncovered evidence linking Indian government agents to a campaign of violence, including homicides, coercion, and extortion on Canadian soil. In a dramatic development, Trudeau confirmed he confronted Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi about these allegations during what he described as a "very uncomfortable" conversation at the G20 summit. The Prime Minister disclosed that Indian diplomats and consular officials in Canada had allegedly leveraged their positions to engage in clandestine intelligence-gathering activities. Conservative Party Operative Under Investigation Adding to the growing scandal, recent reports indicate that Arpan Khanna, who served as Pierre Poilievre's Ontario co-chair during his successful leadership campaign, is under investigation by CSIS for potentially receiving support from the Indian government. Khanna's nomination in the Oxford riding has come under particular scrutiny. Two senior riding officials resigned in protest, claiming the party leadership "hijacked" the process to favor Khanna. About Dean Blundell Dean Blundell, a legendary figure in Canadian broadcasting who hosted the boundary-pushing morning show on Toronto's 102.1 The Edge (2001-2014) and later Fan 590, has transformed from self-described "shock jock" to one of Canada's most important investigative voices through his Dean Blundell Show podcast and Crier Media empire. Under the Crier Media banner, which operates dozens of podcasts and works with a collective of reporters, journalists, and lawyers while maintaining complete independence by refusing government funding, Blundell has emerged as a leading investigator of foreign interference in Canadian politics, breaking significant stories about threats to democracy that mainstream media outlets often hesitate to cover, including early reporting on Pierre Poilievre's refusal to obtain national security clearance and exposing connections between Canadian conservative movements and international actors.

In this episode, Dean and I dig deep into the whys, whats and hows of a school board led lawsuit against the major social media companies in Ontario. Why are the doing it? What do they hope to gain? And does social media really rot your brain??Twitter @itsdeanblundell - Crier Media
We're back with Lochlin Cross, who has a ton of time on his hands after getting fired for being excellent at Radio. How Lochlin's feeling three days into his new unpaid gig at Crier Media. He's such a nice man to give us his time and content for free. We opened with the chaos around the Dune 2 Popcorn bucket, which looks EXACTLY like a Fleshlight. We pivot to PeePee's new makeup regimen. He's going full Donald Trump with the Bronzer. I wonder if they have enough foundation until the next election. We get it the Dune 2 promotional (Fleshlight/Anus) popcorn bucket...
Alex is back, and his wife is pregnant; Ukraine is running out of ammo, and he's still fighting the war and isn't happy about the lack of help and budding pro-Russian attitude coming from Conservatives in North America.
Q & A about Alberta's turn to theocratic rule. Douglas hosts the True North Eager Beaver podcast here at Crier Media. Lochlin lives in Alberta and hates reading. Douglas was kind enough to join us to discuss Alberta stripping basic human rights away from Alberta's trans community and why. - who it affects - why Danielle Smith decided to remove parental and child rights for a specific group - what role religion plays in Alberta's new hateful direction and stats on Trans youth, homelessness and suicide are mind boggling. It's a heavy subject but we did our best to explain the dangerous slope provinces are on when they fuck with the basic human rights of ANY group. Try to enjoy.
Welcome to Wednesday! Major announcement out of the gate! Lochlin Cross is getting thinner, and we have just signed first-line center "Kurtis From Alberta" to be our pre-game, post-game, and between-period live streams for the remainder of the NHL season! Kurtis is a pure Leafs fan who turned his basement into a million-dollar shrine to the Maple Leafs. He does content for Bodog, crushes pints out of his Maple Leafs Beer vending machine, and will fly anywhere, anytime, by himself to Leaf games to meet other Leaf fans. Kurtis lives in Medicine Hat, AB, and touches Leaf fans around the world, including Mexican Leaf fans looking for husbands. He's the most authentic person you'll ever meet. He loves everyone, including the haters, and this interview was HILARIOUS because Kurtis is just Kurtis. A BOMBSHELL story broke this morning in regards to Hockey Canada's cover-up of a rape that occurred after the 2019 WJHC. 5 former players from that team are being asked to surrender to rape and sexual assault charges stemming from the incident. A woman, "E.M.," was paid off in 2022 to make the rape allegations go away. Now London Ontario police are doing what they should have done six years ago - they are charging the five players with rape after opening up the file again. A few players have left their respective teams (NHL, Europe), and Hockey culture is about to get punched in the face.

Lochlin is here to help Dean mock the latest in the Canadian politics sewer. Pierre Poilievre has been missing for two weeks, but his digital team kicked it into high gear with one of the weirdest speeches ever. The leading candidate for PM, Pierre Poilievre, thinks: - Electricians catch lightning and put that energy into copper wires. - "Brainy" people and "Experts" are dumber than the average person, and ordinary people with no education shouldn't listen to experts, doctors, ETC. Ever. - Dean wants to know when we get to stop taking these dickheads seriously. Lochlin tries to both sides of the issue because he's from Alberta. After dusting a few podcasters, we also dove into how it might be time to contract at Crier Media and how hard it is working with weird media people
Today, Crier Media added Sports Betting Free Agent and one of my favourite people, Rachel Doerrie, to Crier Media to break down, possibly, the greatest free agent signing in the history of sports - it sure looks like Shohei Ohtani is a Blue Jay! We hedged our bets, and part of us still doesn't believe this. As I sit here, we're getting Kawhi vibes, but it sure looks like Shohei Ohtani... Maybe (It's Happening).
Welcome to MONDAY! Lochlins still stumping for Ontario's help to keep the McRib on McDonald's menu - forever. It's ridiculous. Mike Lindell of My Pillow fame has filed for bankruptcy, claiming he wasted millions in legal fees defending himself over defaming and labeling Smartmatic and Dominion Voting Machines; Mike said Jesus touched him in his sleep (I wish I were kidding) who told him to use his money and his companies money to allege Trump was the rightful winner of the 2020 election which begs the question, does Jesus have an AWESOME SENSE OF HUMOR? I mean, what a great prank! Mike is a reformed crackhead, so who knows what other sweet Jesus dreams make him do next. Speaking of addiction, we deal with Corey Perry's admission of mental health and alcohol abuse issues. Was it forced or courageous? Post-pandemic stats on mental health and addiction are staggering, and what it takes to make an admission like this gets more complicated and more complex in a post-truth/social media world. Last week, Dean and Crier Media were sued by an agent of the Conservative Party of Canada for "Embarrassing" them. They want $200k for their embarrassment and an immediate "injunction to prevent Dean from talking about their intentions and what they do to spread misinformation to Canadians. Can a political party sue a private citizen? What does it mean when a third-party agent of the Conservative Party, whom legacy news outlets call the "King of Shitposting," starts legal action against those who take issue with their "shitposting." What does it mean when does it mean when an agent for the "Free Speech" Party silently threatens to sue others into silence over their Dean shares their damages and two main asks from the lawsuit. Money and silence, Baby. Money and silence. If you'd like to help support Crier Media and Dean, you can do so Here: https://www.gofundme.com/f/fight-cana... You can read about Ontario. Canada Proud and Jeff Ballingall Here: https://crier.co/so-heres-the-deal-wi... Thanks for your ongoing support. It means the world to all of us. Free Speech comes at a cost - we know that and without you this wouldn't be possible...
Welcome back! David Wallace, former "fixer" (think Ray Donovan minus all the murder) for the Conservative party, joins us to talk about political party proxies and how they use the legal system to sue private citizens. This conversation comes from a lawsuit launched by Canada Proud, the official digital media agent of the Conservative Party of Canada, against Dean and Crier Media. Last week, Dean and Crier led the charge after hard right Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievere claimed the Niagara car crash was a terror attack and blamed it on the current government. Gaslighting and lying to a nation into fear on national TV. Friends of Pierre Poilievere and the Conservative Party have sued David into oblivion this year, and he knows all the players and why third-party proxies sue certain journalists and Whistleblowers (that was his old job). - The purpose of third-party agents of political parties - What's at stake for Journalists, private citizens, and Whistleblowers who are threatened into silence by Political proxies for telling the truth - Why lawsuits are meant to occupy time and resources instead of dealing with truth and consequences of the truth - Why David believes Canada Proud sued Dean and Crier Media and what he thinks is next in terms of escalation - How Dean is happy to go through the process respectfully to see who's telling the truth and who isn't. - How a party and its media partner who campaign on absolute Free Speech are quietly suing people for exercising their right to free speech if that Free Speech doesn't work for them. **We believe you have a right to see who's been gaslighting Canadians and want you to have a stake in our efforts to defend Free Speech. We also want you to know how misinformation works and the players' identities. We plan on defending ourselves, aggressively. Please consider supporting our GoFundMe so we can get the answers Canadians have been demanding for years. https://www.gofundme.com/f/fight-canada-proud-lawsuit-and-disinformation

Hello Wednesday, you beautiful bastard. We're back and we're bringing our newest colleague with us. Charles Adler has joined Crier Media, and Lochlin and Dean are excited to radio the fuck out of Crier Media. - Apple announced it now has more money than England. The country. Should they buy it? I trust Bill Gates more than any politician on the planet, so maybe? - Elon Musk's latest interview was a fucking tire fire. He's quoting 50-year-old movies sitting in stunned silence because he's about to get crushed by the DOJ. We explain. - The owner of Barberians Steak house, Aaron Barberian joins us to talk about renaming Yonge Dundas Square in Toronto after Gordon Lightfoot and Aaron won't be denied.
Can you believe we've turned 50?! Well, not quite... On this episode we sit down with Toronto singer/songwriter Chris Scian, and thank him for bringing the Maple Leafs good luck the night of our show. And, all the while we celebrate The Leafs, our pal Army Kris from the Crier Media network cusses out his Edmonton Oilers. This show was a blast. Thanks so much to all of our previous guests, and thanks to all those who listen to our show! Please, subscribe and follow wherever you get your favourite podcasts. So much more great stuff to come! Presented in concert with Crier Media. Ryan briefly touches on a topic he definitely isn't into, or is he? No, he's not. Ted updates everyone on his status after heart surgery and apparently has normal poops. Is going after Damon Severson like owning a Toyota Tacoma? Ted makes a great comparison, an analogy if you will. The guys get into who the next color analyst voice should be on the Canucks broadcast. What will it take for the circus in Vancouver to be over? Ted has some ideas. There are a few more key moments in here and obviously, we talk about Kitsilano Audi's next Canucks spokesperson. Great show, great to have Ted back so we have some hype going into playoffs. DOWNLOAD NOW Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
The Canucks may be super depressing but we find a way to be... less depressing. PP1 Podcast welcomes Canucks Army's Cody Severtson, he of the #SevertSystem gambling program (kinda real, kinda not). The guys get into what's even left to be excited about for the Canucks at the end of the season, Connor Bedard maybe being a Canuck, and how most of the team looks checked out. Ryan brings up the moon and the huge conspiracy behind that. The Masters are this weekend and the guys chat about the young upstart Rory McIlroy maybe winning it all. We're proudly presented on Crier Media and you can find us everywhere podcasts are sold. Please buy our merch, subscribe to our show, and heck, maybe sponsor us. Learn more about your ad choices. Crier Media presents PP1 Podcast. Do you realize the weight of that sentence? WOW! Ryan is joined this week by Brad Karp of K96.3 in Kelowna and they muck it up about pedicures, feet pics for cash, train robberies gone wrong, and Quinn Hughes up for the Norris. Mixed in with our Canucks talk we go over Maple Leafs/Habs fan guy (he's both), how bad are the Boston Bruins really? And french bus rides. We cover the usual arguments like Damon Severson coming to the Canucks, trading Tyler Myers for Chris Tanev, and getting sponsored by BioSteel. No free ads. The Canucks are embracing the retool and might even have fooled us into success. They have the pieces up the middle and come next season, they might actually be good. We also talked about the snow problem in Earls in Kelowna. Finally, we talk about Andrei Kuzmenko and how he needs to not learn English so he can see what Canucks fans eventually will say. Ryan Lindley, Ray Rauth, and Producer Mike gathered again for another edition of Around The Horn on Crier Media. They guys were proud to host Douglas Connors from The True North Eager Beaver for this special episode. The guys kicked off the show discussing people going on shows like Dr.Phil to air dirty laundry, and despite knowing the reputations of shows, somebody is always shocked. Online clout chasing is nothing new, the content is just getting more intense. For example, people pretending to be homeless after coming out to their family, only for them to admit it was all an act. - Canadian sports federation and coaches continue to be shady AF - What's the best thing to do on your day off? - If you could only eat one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be? Finding time for yourself is an important part of parenting. That Nerd Dad Joe Williamson is a self described loving father and adequate husband. He talks parenting, pop culture, politics and more while his kids are asleep. This week, we spoke with Joe about the challenges of parenting in 2023, like how do you avoid screwing up your kids in one way or another? Is it even possible? Joe gives his perspective on that and much more, and also shares what made him want to start a podcast about it. That Nerd Dad Podcast is all about the joys, trials and tribulations of parenting, as well as discussing the political and social landscape from a parent's perspective. Joe regularly interviews experts in things like conflict resolution, pediatrics, and mental health for parents and kids. Recently, he's also been running a series of episodes called Live on Lunchbreak, which shifts the focus to more current events. Mach 18, 2023: Around The Horn Podcast on Crier Media brings you its spinoff ATH Sports with Ray Rauth. Ray reviews all the stories he worked on during the week for Crier Media: Earlier this week a video of Mercyhurst University hockey player and son of Philadelphia Flyers general manager Daniel Briere; Carson Briere was seen pushing a wheelchair down a flight of stairs. Mercyhurst released a statement on the incident, and I asked Twitter what they thought of the response. The answer; people thought it was pathetic. | Last season, casual baseball fans were introduced to New York Mets closer Edwin Diaz, after his entrance went viral across social media. A video of Diaz went viral Wednesday night for all the wrong reasons. In a win-or-go -home game, Edwin Diaz closed out a 5-2 win over the Dominican Republic, sending Puerto Rico to the next round of the World Baseball Classic. Unfortunately, for Diaz, Puerto Rico, and the Mets, Diaz was injured while celebrating the win with his teammates. | Between Wednesday and Thursday I asked Twitter users to vote on the worst fanbase in the AFC East, with 50% of the vote going to Patriots fans. Bills Mafia came in second with 33% of the votes. | Day one of our worst fans in the NFL had the Patriots voted the worst in the AFC East with 49.5% of the votes. Day two of our polls wrapped up Thursday night and Dallas Cowboys fans secured 51% of the votes, officially making them the worst fans in the NFC East. | Day three of our polls has wrapped up and the Cleveland Browns join the New England Patriots as the worst fans in the AFC. | The more the Bills Mafia tastes their version of success, the more sensitive the “hard as nails” table jumpers become. If Bills Mafia is a culture, it's a culture of cry babies that celebrates being the AFC East Champions (The only championship you celebrate is a Super Bowl) Friday, a former Buffalo Bills wide receiver Cole Beasley said what every football fan on the planet knows, and the Bills Mafia lost its mind. On this episode of Around The Horn on Crier Media, Ray Rauth, Ryan Lindley, and Producer Mike discuss the differences between the United States and Canada. Ryan told a story that proved Toronto Maple Leafs fans aren't the worst. Mike couldn't get pass the second sentence of the Canadian National Anthem. Ray witnessed two of his friends having to deal with racism. Jordan Peterson has a doctorate proving credentials and acronyms don't mean anything. Cancel culture doesn't promote positive change and takes the focus off the actual social issue. Dominican strip clubs are nothing like Canadian establishments. Ryan gives his best advice when stating in the Dominican Republic. | Don't miss the Crier Media Food Truck Takeover. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

We get into the Messier era and how it was perceived quite differently than it actually panned out, the Minnesota Wild series and the foreshadowing of 2011, we talk golden retrievers, banana bread and bizarre car stories in Kelowna. Ted is still off recovering from heart surgery but don't you worry, Ryan holds his own. Proudly presented on Crier Media. Check this one out right away. So first off, Ted's having surgery on his heart. Big deal, big deal. We wish him the best. Jordan Bowman of Trust the Process joins Ryan for some Canucks talk. We discuss the b*mb in Kelowna from the week that was (a real one), we talk about neat crime-fighting initiatives in the 'Lona and what could really change it up and of course we talk Canucks. The Bo Horvat trade really moved things along in the rebuild and then three weeks later (this week) it all came undone with the pick from the Bo deal going to Detroit for Filip Hronek. Sure, makes sense. Its the re-retool again. Jonathan Quick got traded as well and we talked about how they crushed some Bryan Adams on the plane ride after. All the good stuff. This show may be outdated by the time it's published but we covered the important Canucks stuff while we could. Brought to you in concert with Crier Media. What happens when you get the heartbeat of Vancouver's sports darling Donnie and Dhali (Ryan Henderson we're talking about) and you mix in PP1 Podcast? Mayhem? Yes. Hilarity? Also yes. The guys chat about OEL, the J.T. Miller trade that probably won't happen before the trade deadline and why any other massive trade doesn't happen. Shea Weber gets traded to the Coyotes and maybe NHL money laundering is real??? Bally Sports is in big trouble and the NHL might have to be ponying up some cash to stay going. This week we're joined by Dean Blundell to talk about his newest venture: Crier Media. It's the best way to find all the blog and podcast content you love from Dean's network, all in one place, but it's also a lot more than that. It's a cooperative of podcasters, writers, bloggers, and all kinds of folks from the radio industry who got sick of seeing big radio companies prioritize the wrong things. The Sound Off Media Company partnered with Dean a few years ago and manage the podcast side of their business and collaborate on marketing. Crier Media wants to shift the focus back to the talent, and give them a springboard to do whatever they want with their own content. We talk with Dean about why he started Crier, as well as how it ties into his storied and controversial history with radio and his podcast. He calls it being a responsible citizen- no guidelines for what can and can't be covered, no fear of taking risks because some corporate bigwig is afraid of losing profits, just digging as deep as you need to on stories that need to be told. This discussion inevitably leads us to talking about Caryma Sa'd, who works with Dean regularly and who we both agree is awesome. The best place to follow her is on Twitter, but you can also check out her website, carymarules.com. And hey, you can find her posts on Crier, too! And, of course, it wouldn't be a Sound Off Podcast episode with a former radio personality without copious discussion about the inevitable death of radio. But we're not just ragging on it needlessly- a lot of Dean's reasons for starting Crier are tightly tied into the problems radio is facing. From personalities taking the backseat to radio stations broadly sucking wind when it comes to transitioning to podcasts, we talk about all the things that made Dean sick enough to start his own place for the lost and forgotten souls of radio to feel at home again. It should go without saying that you should check out Crier Media, but that goes double if you're a broadcast industry vet looking to start doing your own thing. Head to their website, Crier.co, or shoot an email to info@crier.co and they'll see what they can do for you. You should also follow Dean in all the usual places: DeanBlundell.com, Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram. A thanks to the people who support the show each week and allow it arrive on your phones for free. No emergency pods here. You're show has to be in an emergency to have that kind of show. The PP1 Podcast covers some news that may have occurred with their former Captain, but in a safe space. We discuss opening up options for the Bo Horvat trade and not allowing contract extensions. Ryan disagrees with Ted's logic despite it making sense. The guys offer real-world parallels to the Canucks and a broken-down F-150 and the 30-minute Hey Ya video that you'd think wouldn't keep going but does. Ted updates everyone on his stripping career, its not going well. First and First Mostly returns as well. Dudes and Guys is on hiatus. Ryan brings up a trade he saw on Facebook and how John Tavares is coming home to Vancouver for Brock Boeser. Wacky? Yes. Tune in. A proud podcast on Crier Media. Learn more about your ad choices. It's that time of week again. Casual Friday is back, and James decided to eat 5.5 grams of magic mushrooms an hour before broadcast. He held it together as he and Ryan Lindley were joined by Ray Routh, Army Chris, Caryma Sa'd, Paul Atkinson, Douglas Connors, Kristi O'Heir and Crier Media producer Chris Rooke. James wrote this summary but can't provide any details, with the notable exception that he discovered Douglas looks exactly like Saddam Hussein. Learn more about your ad choices. Quite possibly the best hockey podcast in the land is back to infect your ears with Canucks takes and most definitely food. Ryan lets the guys know the local Wendys drive thru guy returned from Arbys after he left Wendys originally... confusing, we get it. Friend of the show, B Mack, of Virgin Radio Kelowna dropped by and we got into all things Canucks, Kuzmenko, the continuing Bo Horvat saga and what our radio names would be. We talked about how Chris Phillips, of THNO FantasyCast on Crier Media, was running his mouth and how maybe he needs to check the tape on who to put in check. Are the Canucks accidentally tanking and why did the WHL blow up the trade deadline this season? All that and more in the latest episode of PP1 Podcast. Learn more about your ad choices.
