A small group of protesters showed up at the radio station demanding that Clay Edwards be fired for “hate speech.” The protest was organized by several of Clay's longtime online critics, including one of the main instigators from Panola County. Despite all the buildup and online noise, the protest was a complete failure. Only the organizers themselves showed up, and they didn't even realize Clay wasn't at the station that day. Clay breaks down how poorly planned and poorly attended the protest was, calling it more of a “menstrual show” than an actual demonstration. In the aftermath, one of the main organizers was so humiliated by the lack of support that he deleted all of his social media accounts. A new NPR report reveals the Department of Justice, under the Trump administration, systematically removed news releases and public records connected to prosecutions from the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol. That includes records documenting violent assaults on police. Some records have been preserved by independent trackers and NPR's Jan. 6 archive. Claude deletes a company — and the internet immediately blamed the AI. But this story is really about backup design, credential management, and least privilege. An AI coding agent running Claude via Cursor deleted PocketOS's entire production database and all its backups in nine seconds. One bad design decision at a time, a startup built itself a disaster waiting to happen. Claude just happened to be the thing that set it off.Here's what you need to understand: the AI violated the principles it was given, and that's on Claude. But Claude never should have had access to do what it did. Credentials were sitting in a plain text YAML file. The production database and its backups lived on the same volume. No least privilege. No expiration on elevated permissions. Microsoft Defender Deletes Trusted Certificates | 44,000 cPanel Servers Hit by Ransomware Microsoft Defender mistakenly flagged legitimate DigiCert root certificates as malware and removed them from Windows systems, breaking trust chains and causing widespread application failures. The issue was traced to a faulty detection signature (Trojan:Win32/CertyAgent), now fixed in update version 1.449.430.0. At the same time, DigiCert confirmed a separate security incident where attackers compromised support systems and used internal tools to issue valid code-signing certificates. At least 60 certificates were revoked, including 27 linked to the Zong Stealer malware campaign. Meanwhile, a critical cPanel vulnerability (CVE-2026-41940) is being actively exploited. Attackers used the flaw as a zero-day since February, compromising at least 44,000 servers and deploying new SORI ransomware using ChaCha20 and RSA-2048 encryption.
