On this episode of March Forth with Mike Bauman, Mike chats with Keeper! Hailing from London, UK, Keeper is an alternative music artist that's continued to build a following since releasing his debut EP "Guess I'm Keeper" in March, 2021. Fusing elements of hyper pop, pop punk, post hardcore, emo rap, and 808s, Keeper's talent on the guitar and behind the mic have garnered the attention of media outlets like Alternative Press, BBC Introducing, Idobi Radio, Clash Magazine, New Noise Magazine, and more. Despite his talent as a musician, Keeper tries not to take himself too seriously, which is evident in several of his music videos. So far in 2023, he's dropped the singles "Come Around" and "I Don't Even Know Myself," the latter of which features fellow rising UK music artist tmdistant. Both songs show Keeper's creative evolution, giving fans something to chew on prior to his forthcoming EP "The Greatest Hits...He Lied." In this podcast, Keeper talks with Mike about his early love for Britney Spears, putting the time in on guitar, finding his voice as a vocalist, the difficulties of COVID which led him to starting Keeper, not taking himself too seriously, his sold-out London show with tmdistant back in June, his forthcoming EP "The Greatest Hits...He Lied," and more. This episode of March Forth with Mike Bauman also features Keeper's latest single "I Don't Even Know Myself" featuring tmdistant, available where you get your music! Alex O'aiza is a Mexican-American indie artist from Dallas, Texas with a sound that mixes snappy pop hooks with gritty rock riffs and the rolling beats of Alternative RnB, and songs that are led by poetic lyrics exploring the Gen Z experience in a fast-changing world. Releasing a string of buzzy singles in 2019 led to press acclaim, local and college radio support and a label deal with Saint In The City Records at the start of 2020. Armed with a batch of hook-driven and genre-blurring new songs recorded with producers Caleb Turman and Austin Bello from celebrated pop-punk band Forever The Sickest Kids, O'aiza released new singles throughout the year and dropped his debut EP, Out Of My Mind, in August. The EP garnered widespread independent playlist support and radio airplay. In specific the title track was soon playlisted on KXT Texas, Idobi Radio, Alt 103.7 FM and XS Manchester radio. Out Of My Mind was also featured by tastemakers at Alt Press, XS Noize, Central Track and Stereoboard, who all praised O'aiza's combo of super-catchy pop hooks and indie-electro beats. O'aiza returned on 2021 with two stellar singles Runnin' 2 Death and How Your Love Feels where he showcased a more confident rock sound that was immediately featured on Spotify's All New Rock playlist. Alex is set to come back with bigger and bolder records than ever before, as he further pushes the boundaries of his artistry. https://lnk.bio/alexoaizamusic/?fbclid=PAAaaBgIZWXPmLyUcbTsrwYwJXoXg099FMqQXgarhbxDeQcHwX7_99htKzWAY www.alexoaiza.com --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/grayson-mask/support
Back in June 2022, High Noons in-hand, we recorded this episode with Tate and Katy, who were not "The Logans" at the time, but have since gotten married which is SO FUN. This conversation was too important to leave in the gmail archives, so one day in April 2023, Emily decided it was time to move this to the top of her to-do list and get this out to the world. We want you to hear their stories, both individually and together, about journeying through adolescence as queer kids in the south, navigating betrayal, understanding what it means to be trans, falling in love, and much more. You'll even get to find out what happened on that fateful day at Zaxby's. From learning about the epic way Tate's mom responded to him coming out to solidifying that Katy should in fact pursue stand-up comedy, this conversation was quite the emotional rollercoaster - but the kind that's definitely worth waiting for in line at Six Flags. (And by emotional rollercoaster, we mean there was lots of laughing and then surprise crying. And yes, Emily was the one shedding tears as per usual.)We hope you enjoy!___________To find Tate and follow his music, entertaining TikTok, and listen to the podcast he hosts on Idobi Radio, head here: @tatexlogan / www.tatelogan.comAnd lurk Katy too because she's the best: @katyxlogan

Big Fat Five: A Podcast Financially Supported by Big Fat Snare Drum
This week's guest is…me! I've been getting a lot of questions from new listeners regarding my time in LA and asking for any advice on how to make strides in their drumming career. While I certainly don't think I'm an authority on that matter, I still welcome these conversations. That being said, I wanted to upload this episode for a good reference as to what I tend to say time and time again. I also acknowledge that my favorite podcasts ARE my favorite podcasts because I feel like I know the host and, while I try to keep these conversations as causal as possible, I don't really talk about myself and my history too much. Sooo a few months back, I interviewed Ryan Seaman for Big Fat Five, but Ryan has his own show as well on Idobi Radio called ‘Ryan Seaman and Friends'. After our chat for this podcast, I hopped on his show to talk about MY story as a drummer and offer some advice of varying credibility. I hope you enjoy getting to know me a little bit better and we'll be back to our regularly scheduled programming soon! Also, please email me at ben@bigfatsnaredrum.com at any time to offer suggestions for the show e.g. comments, concerns, guest recommendations, congratulations on being such a great host - whatever you want! I've had some really kind people reach out as of late and it truly means the world. I don't take any of it for granted. Anyways, enough about me. Here's an episode all about me! Cheers. Welcome to the Modern Drummer Podcast with Billy Amendola featuring the Summer Sets' Jess Bowen. Jess is one of the drummers highlighted in the inspirational Netflix documentary, out now, about drums and drumming, titled “Count Me In.” We highly recommend watching it. Jess fills us in on her early days, the documentary, her past experiences touring, and recently reuniting with the band. She refers to herself as “the newbie” about her role in the film, and despite her starting at an early young age, she's paid her dues and continues to rise and share her inspiration to everyone. You can catch Jess and Bowie Jane on their own podcast called “Babes Behind the Beat.” The show interview women working in the music industry both behind the scenes and on stage. The show airs live every Wednesday at 7 pm ET on Idobi Radio, and episodes are also available on all streaming platforms. You can check it out at: https://linktr.ee/Babesbehindthebeats Enjoy the show!

Royals New Single "Worldwide Catastrophe" Out Now Pop Punk hailing from Southampton, UK "'Top 10 Rising UK Pop Punk Bands"- Alternative Press Stream The Single On All Digital Platforms. Stream Royals' New Single "Worldwide Catastrophe" on all streaming platforms here: https://fanlink.to/royals-wwc . Watch the music video here: https://youtu.be/W8TVNaf-DlM. Vocalist Luke Smithson says, ""Worldwide Catastrophe is intended to put across a message about how we live in a world full of selfishness, greed & hate amongst other awful things. I believe our generation can be the voice to make changes to these things and help make the world a better place. This is the message I wanted to get across lyrically when writing this song. Since our last release we have developed as a band on so many levels and this song is a prime example of what you can expect from Royals in the near future." Royals are a five-piece pop-punk based out of Southampton, UK. Formed in 2019, the band got off to a quick start releasing several singles and music videos followed by their debut EP ‘Painted Gold'. The band began to build a decent following in their hometown and online which was aided by the release of their cover of Taylor Swift's ‘Me!'. The band headed into the studio in late 2019 with Neck Deep's Seb Barlow to record a line of singles in 2020. The first of those singles was 'Out Of Reach' which was released to an amazing reception. The song was featured in Spotify's 'New Punk Tracks' playlist and added to Idobi Radio's rotation. Their latest single 'Fair-Weather Friend' was also featured on Spotify's 'New Punk Tracks' playlist as well as 'Pop Punk's Not Dead' and it also earned them a place on Alt Press' 'Top 10 Rising UK Pop Punk Bands' list. "Putting the “pop” in pop punk, Royals are dosing the genre with an extra shot of energy. Seriously, we challenge you to stream any of their upbeat, catchy tracks without compulsively bopping along. The band released their latest single,'“Fair-Weather Friend' this past June, and it's essential for any modern pop-punk playlist." - Alt Press www.royalsofficial.com www.facebook.com/RoyalsOfficialUK www.instagram.com/royalsofficialuk https://twitter.com/royalsbanduk This episode is proudly brought to you by: #Betterhelp : https://www.betterhelp.com/sipod for 10% off #Coldest Water Bottle: Use code "10DEREK" for 10% off https://thecoldestwater.com/ #LootCrate : http://loot.cr/3rWoAnw Code "Suckitpodcast" for 15% off BUY MERCH!!!!! #Merch Store: https://www.dckproductions.com/shop Follow me: https://www.instagram.com/suckitpodcast https://www.facebook.com/suckitpodcast https://www.twitter.com/suckit_podcast --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/thedarksideofmusic/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/thedarksideofmusic/support
