HOUSE FOR THE BROKEN FILM SERIESTeaser https://youtu.be/qPkZC22B0BE?si=AcuBED609Kuml45b House for the Broken is an eight episode streaming series which touches on several subjects from fatherhood, addiction, abuse, proper discipleship, and the weight of pastoral ministry. House for the Broken is set to release late July 2026 with platforms TBD. NOTE FROM JARON I wrote House for the Broken after gaining renewed faith after a difficult period in my life. House for the Broken is a multitude of stories I've experienced personally or witnessed from people around me and through my "day job" as a full-time police officer in the state of Tennessee. The show focuses on showing the side of Christianity that isn't regularly portrayed like the weight of being a pastor, being unequally yoked in a relationship with a non-believer and being a new Christian trying to escape the shame of their past. In June 2004, Bradley Christopher Nicolaides orchestrated the biggest escape from maximum security in Australian history from the holding cells beneath the Perth Supreme Court in Western Australia. The group of 9 prisoners overpowered security personnel and fled, triggering a large-scale police manhunt across Perth. Authorities quickly identified Nicolaides and fellow escapee Claudio Simeon as high-priority targets. Two days after the breakout, police located and arrested them during a raid on a house in the suburb of Lockridge. A firearm and a stolen vehicle were also reportedly found during the operation. The escape became one of Western Australia's most notable courthouse security failures. Following his recapture, Nicolaides appeared in court under heavy security and was remanded in custody. Later court records show that the escape formed part of a lengthy criminal history that included armed robbery, firearms offences, and other serious charges. ________________ Follow us on social media! In this talk, originally given at the 2023 SOUTH Conference, Adam Lockridge describes the "beginning and end of an Orthodox Education."
Verstehst du, was ich meine? Pilatus konnte keine Schuld an ihm finden.

John 11:1-6 Good Friday is the most powerful reminder that suffering is not futile, even though we tend to think it is; and that it doesn’t get the final word, even though it can feel like it does. In the midst of suffering we rarely understand the why. But the story of Lazarus — and the cross most of all — gives us a window into a few of the reasons why.The story of Jesus raising Lazarus shows us that far from being futile, it is actually suffering that produces greater faith and reliance on Jesus more than anything else. Suffering and even death are not the last word. Jesus gets the last word. And while Good Friday is full of sorrow, heartbreak, and death, S.M. Lockridge was right when he famously bellowed, “It’s Friday, but Sunday’s coming.” Death is not dying. Resurrection gets the last word.

Share a commentA clear spine runs through everything we talk about today: make Christ unmistakable. We share how two pastors—E. V. Hill and S. M. Lockridge—held fast to the gospel when culture pulled hard, and why their courage still instructs our pulpits, our neighborhoods, and our daily conversations. Their stories cut through labels and factions, not because they dodged hard issues, but because they put Jesus at the center and let everything else take its proper place. We start with EV Hill's beginnings in Texas and his long pastorate in Los Angeles, where conviction outran credentials. He was loved by some, resisted by others, and shaped by Acts 4 boldness—recognized as a man who had been with Jesus. From praying at inaugurations to preaching an unblushing pro-life, six-day creation stance, he refused to let party lines define his pulpit. Then we dig into his “block captain” strategy, a simple but potent evangelism network that placed believers on nearly two thousand blocks so every neighbor could hear a kind, persistent invitation to meet Christ. From there we trace SM Lockridge's journey from Texas to San Diego, his statewide leadership, and the enduring power of “That's My King.” The sermon still spreads because it exalts Jesus without ornament or apology, marrying cadence to rich doctrine. We explore how that vision of Christ—majestic, merciful, reigning—creates believers who can withstand pressure and love their cities well. Along the way we name the three anchors that shaped both men: the gospel of Christ as the priority, the approval of Christ as the motive, and the glory of Christ as the fascination. If you've been longing for examples that stand taller than trends, this conversation offers a way forward: claim your address as an assignment, speak the name of Jesus with clarity and warmth, and cultivate awe until courage follows. If this resonates, follow the show, share it with a friend, and leave a review telling us where you're placing your next “block captain” for the gospel._____Stephen's latest book, Legacies of Light, Volume 2, is our gift for your special donation to our ministry. Police officer and movie producer Jaron Lockridge interviewed. #JaronLockridge #Stix #tennessee Growing up in Bolivar, Tennessee, a small town 45 minutes east of Memphis, Jaron became interested in filmmaking as a high school sophomore in 2002. Believing a career in Hollywood was nothing more than a far-fetched dream, Jaron graduated the police academy in 2010 and became a commissioned peace officer in the State of Tennessee in 2010. As an outlet from the stressors of the job, Jaron began writing again and in 2016, he started his production company, Misguided Perceptions Media Group. With no formal training or film schooling, he began to teach himself how to produce independent films, primarily self-financing his films, saving his paychecks from his job as a police officer. He has since produced 11 feature films such as Betray, The Reaper Man, & Down Bad: Life In The Hood. He believes his niche is telling human stories from an authentic perspective using his experiences of working the streets in uniform as a police officer. His latest film, The Stix, is a promise fulfilled to a close friend and former cast member, whom the film is dedicated to.
