Michael Thompson of 12th Man Rising joins me today with an aggressive idea to acquire pass-rusher Haason Reddick from the NY Jets. Reddick is currently holding out for a new deal after being traded from Philadelphia to the Big Apple earlier this offseason. With just one year left on his deal, Reddick is looking for a big payday - so, how could the Seahawks figure into this? What would it cost to acquire Reddick in trade, could they fit a new deal for him into their current payroll, and do they even need another EDGE player in a group that's already chock full of young talent and established players such as Uchenna Nwosu and Dre'Mont Jones? Well, Michael certainly thinks it's possible, logical AND feasible. Tune in to find out how the Hawks could potentially make it work! With the buzz around the potential of a Michael Penix-to-Seattle scenario refusing to diminish, today we attempt to show you how a Seahawks draft might look with or without a selection of the UW signal-caller in the first round. Michael Thompson writes about the Seahawks, and most predominantly the draft, for 12th Man Rising. Michael will take the pro-Penix approach, while I try and go a different direction. But wait, that's not all! We finish up with a live draft simulation where we team up and alternate picks, exploring the possibility of trading down to accumulate an extra pick or two. And then YOU get to tell us which approach you prefer. It's Mock Draft Mania!! One often-repeated definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting similar results. Is that what we're seeing with the Seahawks right now? I believe the results of last night's 31-13 loss to the 49ers indicate that changes are needed in Seattle..... big changes. Which ones am I talking about? Can they be done now, or will they have to wait until the offseason? Most notably, is it time for a new coaching staff and direction? I'll detail what I think those changes need to be, and how/when they may be addressed.... some sooner than later. Michael Thompson of 12th Man Rising is back on the show to discuss a recent piece he wrote on the Seahawks offense - and he focused on the viability of a Geno Smith MVP campaign: Can the offense around Geno be elite? Is Shane Waldron the key to it all - and will this be HIS final season in Seattle? How does the schedule work in Geno's favor? What's the ceiling for this offense? --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/seahawksforever-danviens/message
The Seahawks took two dynamic talents in the first round of the NFL draft, but opinions are mixed. Are Devon Witherspoon and Jaxon Smith-Njigba future All Pros, or were they luxury picks the Seahawks made at the expense of more pressing needs? Draft Analyst Michael Thompson of 12th Man Rising joins me to break it all down and look ahead to what the Hawks may do on Day 2. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/seahawksforever-danviens/message

Geno Smith looks more like a long-term fix at QB for the Seahawks with each passing game, but if Seattle were to use one of their extra draft picks on a future starter at the position in the 2023 draft, who could it be? It's followup day on Simulation Radio Live as our favorite HEROIC bomb sniffing rat dies peacefully at the ripe, tender age of 8 years old. Plus, the fartrepreneur is back selling NFTs and as much as I hate to admit it... this is kind of a smart pivot. Maryland surgeons have successfully transplanted a gene-edited pig heart into a human, so now we wait for the inevitable rise of the pig-human hybrids and hope they don't attempt to take over the world. Also, Kodak Black is caught at a soccer (??) game in a viral video of him "doing the deed" with another woman. Some claim they're just twerking but get your investigation skills ready with me, fellas, and let me know what you think is REALLY going on here. Finally, check out this INSANE footage of heroic LAPD officers rescuing a pilot who crashed his plane on top of train tracks and is rescued mere seconds before the train smashes the plane to pieces. Asia, the largest continent on Earth in both land area and population is the birthplace of an ocean of innovation, wisdom, and art both cultural and martial. There have only been ten countries in the world to have never been fully conquered by European superpowers, nine of which are In Asia. It's home to half of the greatest hotbed for wrestling, the birthplaces of Muay Thai, Judo, Karate, Jiu-Jitsu, and some of the world's highest level practitioners of bladed combat in the styles of Silat and Eskrima. The continent possesses a wealth of martial culture and history matched by very few places, and it's not limited to any one of its region. The men of this continent have ancestors as mighty as any, and like other races of men, they're under attack. Their masculinity is being being vilified, and there are numerous attempts of feminization tied to a fabricated sense of morality. This is not a time to delve into discussions of who the enemy of the majority men actually is. One thing I do know is that the attack on masculinity is worldwide. One man of martial culture and Asian heritage has decided to become a catalyst to begin the Renaissance of Men for the men of an entire continent and do his part in this war of culture and consciousness. The American men and the European men have begun their restoration, and now, right on time,The Asian men are rising. The Blood & Rain PodcastEpisode 34Asian Man RisingEnjoy.

Seahawks fans welcome back to the Seahawks Playbook Podcast. Your hosts Bill Alvstad and Keith Myers welcome back our special guest Dan Viens, Host of the Emerald City Sportscast as we talk Seahawks Free Agency. You can find Dan on his show, currently appearing live, Wednesday's at 10am Pacific. Dan has covered Seattle teams on television, radio and podcasting, while also contributing to popular websites such as NFLMocks.com, 12th Man Rising and SI's Seahawks Maven. As we catch up with Dan, we ask him to share his perspective on the off-season so far, including thoughts on the largest story we've been covering; The Russell Wilson Saga. We ask Dan if he thinks it's over for now, or if he thinks there might be a blockbuster trade waiting in the wings during the leagues NFL Draft at the end of April. As part of that discussion, we bring in a mock draft just completed by Doug Farrar of USA Today's Touchdown Wire. Doug proposes that blockbuster deal with the Miami Dolphins. Miami Dolphins get: • QB Russell Wilson. Seattle Seahawks get: • QB Tua Tagovailoa / plus the following draft picks: Miami’s Draft Picks: •2021 First Round Pick / 3rd Overall, •2021 First Round Pick / 18th Overall, •2021 2nd Round Pick / 36th overall and a •2022 1st Round Pick. Would this be enough for you to pull the trigger on a trade of our franchise quarterback, and the most successful period of football in the entire history of the franchise? Find out what we think. We spend the remaining hour of the show getting into all of the Seahawks moves so far in free agency. How have we created salary cap room to make moves? Who have the Seahawks decided to move on from? Who have they retained? Which outside free agency have we brought in to keep the team competitive at each position group of need? We also discuss the move to acquire offensive guard Gabe Jackson in a trade with the Las Vegas Raiders over the weekend. Seattle sends a 5th round pick for Jackson who projects currently to fill the void left by the retirement of left guard, Mike Iupoti. Overall, it's a fantastic wide-ranging discussion of the entire off-season and free agency. you definitely don't want to miss this show! Go Hawks!

This week in Seahawks news: Seattle beats Vikings in an ugly game 21-7 (and by ugly, we apologize for the uniforms). We're just one win from playoffs and we've got San Francisco this week. A major shakeup in terms of the number of coaches turned over in the past week for the Seahawks, but we explore whether it really is a major overhaul in terms of philosophy for the team. Adam and Brandan discuss some of the major similarities with the new coaches compared to the former coaches who held the position. Brian Schottenheimer replaces Darrell Bevell, Mike Solari is in for Tom Cable and Ken Norton Jr. returns to the team to take over for Kris Richard. Adam explains why he is two-thirds excited over these changes. Keith Myers of 12th Man Rising and co-host of the Hawks Playbook podcast joins the show to talk about the departure of Tom Cable and the impact he had on the offensive line during his tenure with the Seahawks. He also offers his thoughts on Mike Solari and why he's excited about the Seahawks going back to the coach who held the job during two of the worst Seahawks seasons in recent history. The Seahawks have their first arrest of the offseason as Jeremy Lane expresses his surprise that people can get a DUI for substances other than alcohol. The guys discuss the idea of having toxicity brackets considering how terrible some people are at driving even when they are sober. Looking way ahead to 2018, there is already a game for fans to mark on their calendar as the Seahawks are set to take on the Oakland Raiders in Week 6 in London. The guys talk about some of the logistics associated with the game and all of the excitement among fans overseas surrounding the game. A note to mock draft headline writers and writers who express surprise over the crazy things that happen during their personal mock drafts. And how the NFL rules committee needed to do better leading into the playoffs to get away from meaningless moments after games end in spectacular fashion. The guys close the show by honoring Cliff Avril's passion to return to the field and to Vikings fans for recognizing an act of sportsmanship in their big win over the Saints.
