Tracey Tee has been actively involved in the momosphere for over 13 years, first co-creating and staring in the nationally touring cult-hit comedy show for moms: The Pump and Dump Show while simultaneously co-producing Band of Mothers Podcast and serving as co-founder and CEO of The Pump and Dump Show's umbrella brand: Band of Mothers Media. During the pandemic, and during her own journey with psilocybin Tracey began to feel called to support moms in a deeper and more meaningful way. In 2022 she launched an online community and digital microdosing courses created exclusively for moms called M.O.M. which stands for “Moms On Mushrooms.” Tracey's goal is to bring moms together through the sacred use of plant medicine for a shared journey of personal growth and healing. Tracey weaves in a sacred facilitator approach into the M.O.M. ethos, calling on the support of the Sacred Feminine and Sacred Mother Earth to connect women back to themselves through prayer, herbology, grounding, nature and of course plant medicine. Her unique journey of reproductive health issues, infertility, a hysterectomy, and early menopause provides a unique and very deep level of compassion for mothers. This compassion and understanding coupled with a lifetime of learning about women's health and wellness allows her to hold space for moms with health, birth and womb trauma while also offering practical tips for overwhelmed and busy moms to simply feel better in their bodies and embrace a more sustainable and natural approach to physical and spiritual healing. Since it's launch in March 2022 M.O.M. has been featured on NPR (twice) Good Morning America, Today Show, Piers Morgan, Rolling Stone Magazine, Fox News, CBS Saturday Morning, NBC News, Romper Magazine, Café Mom, London Times and The Guardian. And yes: Tracey did appear on Dr. Phil to defend the right to heal through microdosing. Tracey has spoken on panels for Rocky Mountain PBS, at Wonderland Conference, PsyCon Conference, with Microdosing Collective and was an invited speaker at the historic MAPS Psychedelic Science 2023 conference in Denver.

Welcome back to The Trip Report Podcast, a production of Beckley Waves, a Psychedelic Venture Studio.Today, I am speaking with Ken Jordan, co-founder and Editorial Director of Lucid News, an AP-style journalistic platform covering all aspects of the psychedelic field.Ken is a longtime journalist, writer, and media entrepreneur. In 2007, Ken co-founded The Evolver and Reality Sandwich, digital media platforms dedicated to the emerging consciousness movement. And in 2020, he and his co-founder, journalist Ann Harrison, founded Lucid News to cover the psychedelics field. My goal for this conversation is to get a snapshot of the moment, as difficult as that may be, with the help of someone who has been in the weeds as much as I have for the last four years.Like other guests on The Trip Report, Ken and I regularly connect to swap ideas, share insights, and discuss the evolution of the psychedelic movement. A theme of this conversation is the growing pains the field is undergoing, the challenges of macroeconomic headwinds, and the relatively slow progress of policy reform and clinical trials compared to the amount of hype and optimism of 18-24 months ago.In this conversation, we talk about:* The early days of the psychedelic “sector” * Ken's perspective as a longtime media entrepreneur with an interest and focus on psychedelics and consciousness * The major inflection point that was the MAPS Psychedelic Science 2023 conference, an overwhelming convergence of the many factions and siloed psychedelic communities * “The wild idea,” as Ken says, “that the money right now is in a really active gray market. That's making chocolates you can buy in every cannabis bodega in New York.”* Ken's optimism about the authorities' loosening of concern about psychedelics* The lack of organized opposition against decriminalization and legalization efforts* The key differences between the psychedelic renaissance of the 1960s and todayAnd now, without further ado, I bring you my conversation with Ken Jordan.Listen to the episode on Substack, Spotify, Google or Apple.Credits:* Hosted by Zach Haigney * Produced by Zach Haigney, Erin Greenhouse, and Katelin Jabbari* Find us at thetripreport.com* Follow us on Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube* Theme music by MANCHO Sounds, Mixed and Mastered by Rollin Weary This is a public episode. Welcome back to The Trip Report Podcast!Today, I am speaking with Dr. Jeeshan Chowdhury, M.D., Ph.D., founder & CEO of Journey Colab, a psychedelic startup developing a synthetic form of mescaline and an innovative care model for addiction treatment. I met up with Jeeshan at the recent MAPS Psychedelic Science conference in Denver for a conversation about the emerging field, his company, and how he sees the future unfolding.Journey Colab is taking a contrarian approach to the psychedelic drug development process. While many companies are seeking to engineer shorter trips or non-hallucinogenic compounds, Journey Colab is developing a synthetic form of mescaline, one of the longer-acting psychedelic compounds with trips lasting 12-14 hours. While the common approach is to identify how to limit or reduce the amount of psychotherapy or psychological support to increase efficiencies, Journey Colab is working with rehab centers to incorporate psychological and community support. And like my conversations with Talia Eisenberg and Manish Agrawal, a central theme is the infrastructure for psychedelic care delivery. On the one hand, they are taking mescaline through the standard drug approval process; on the other, they have formed a unique partnership with All Points North, a treatment and rehab center in Colorado. The Journey Colab–All Points North Center of Excellence will conduct research on the potential of psychedelic-assisted therapies for alcohol use disorder in a community healthcare setting. As we discuss, this contrarian approach has had its fair share of challenges. However, Journey Colab has the unique distinction of having Sam Altman, the former president of Y Combinator and CEO of Open AI, as an early-stage investor and advisor. In this conversation, we discuss:* How Sam Altman told Jeeshan that he should start a psychedelic company back in 2018;* What happens when we take very powerful psychoactive compounds and apply traditional capitalist structures;* The challenge of delivering psychedelic care safely, effectively and at scale; and* The stigma of using medication in alcohol rehabilitation. And now, I bring you my conversation with Jeeshan Chowdhury.Listen to the episode on Substack, Spotify, Google or Apple.Credits:* Hosted by Zach Haigney * Produced by Zach Haigney, Erin Greenhouse, and Katelin Jabbari* Find us at thetripreport.com* Follow us on Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube* Theme music by MANCHO Sounds, Mixed and Mastered by Rollin Weary This is a public episode. On June 6, Psymposia reported on the presenter contract for MAPS' Psychedelic Science 2023. The contract includes clauses that limit when and where presenters can speak, and a "MAPS Reputation" clause that warns speakers to not "tarnish" the organization's "reputation and goodwill." After our reporting, MAPS announced that all presenters would be released from the radius clause of the contract. Concerns with the “MAPS reputation” clause were not acknowledged. We also discuss Russell Hausfeld's reporting on Kentucky's recent decision to use opioid settlement money on ibogaine research. On this episode of the Psychedelic Therapy Frontiers podcast, Dr. Steve Thayer and Dr. Reid Robison ask the question, “what is happiness?”. They try to define the term, explore ancient wisdom and modern research on happiness, and talk about why the pursuit of happiness kind of defeats the purpose. They also dip into how psychedelic experiences effect happiness, and even reveal some of the details behind their own personal struggles with happiness.Come and attend the MAPS Psychedelic Science 2023 conference, Numinus is offering an exclusive 20% discount code to our PTF Podcast listeners. As this episode airs, most of us are currently contained at home and much of the world has shifted online. This presents a very exciting opportunity to connect with MAPS. This organization is preparing to release its 2020 webinar series which runs April 9 through May 21. If you are wondering what MAPS is and what this webinar is about, Brad Burge is on today to share that with you. Brad is the director of strategic communications who began working with MAPS in 2009 to help expand their international public education and communication programs. He engages daily with journalists and media producers around the world to enhance public knowledge about psychedelic research while also helping develop MAPS brand and outreach strategy. In its upcoming online course, MAPS and the speakers will explore the latest advancements in psychedelic research, medicine, and policy. This will include talks by some of the foremost leaders in the psychedelic renaissance. They’ll provide insights into the latest research into the medical and therapeutic uses of psilocybin, MDMA, ketamine, and more. It also includes a sneak-peek at key issues affecting the wider availability of psychedelics for healing and spirituality. In this episode: Speakers and the topics they will cover in the webinar What is being discovered about the effect of psychedelics and the brain MAPS’ role in regulatory and decriminalization initiatives How MAPS provides peer support and harm-reduction Current research on the ability of MDMA to treat PTSD Quotes: “The topics were chosen based on what’s timely in the field of psychedelic therapy and clinical trials.” [4:40] “MAPS is about the research and science, but we’re also about much more than that. We’re also looking at and supporting different initiates to regulate psychedelics.” [7:15] “If we can take these so-called bad trips and turn them into learning experiences, then we can do a lot of good. We can heal trauma and help people explore their consciousness.” [12:01] “Where in this when, not if, situation. We’re in a final push after 33 years of work to actually make MDMA a legal prescription treatment for PTSD.” [18:27] Links: MAPS webinar signup Zendo Project Chacruna Institute for Psychedelic Plant Medicines LSD Scientific Research with Dr. Katrin Preller MDMA Scientific Research with Marcela Ot'alora Ayahuasca History and Legality with Ismail Ali Decriminalization of Psilocybin with Attorney Sean McAllister MDMA Practitioner Methods with Shannon Carlin MAPS Check out the full episode post Keep up with everything Plant Medicine related here Porangui
If you 'd like to get a copy of the Powerpoint presentation, please email Neal at goldsmith.neal@gmail.com The much-heralded "Psychedelic Renaissance" is really "just" a renaissance in psychedelic research. The real societal psychedelic renaissance begins in just five years or so when these extraordinary substances will be rescheduled and become more widely available. In this talk, I'll review the current state of the research on the clinical use of psychedelics, and describe psychedelic integration, the popular new practice of "microdosing," and the concept of "ego-death." I'll highlight the relationship between the stages of developmental psychology and tribal rites of passage - both of which are facilitated by the loosening action of visionary substances and both of which represent mini- "deaths and rebirths" - and show how societal development mirrors personal development. We'll conclude with a discussion of the future of psychedelics policy and the big-picture implications of a re-introduction of psychedelics into Western civilization. Neal M. Goldsmith, Ph.D. is a social psychologist, expert in psychedelic research and therapy, and a licensed psychotherapist with a psychospiritual development orientation. Author of dozens of popular and scholarly articles, he is a frequent speaker on psychotherapy and change, adult developmental psychology, psychedelics research and policy, and the integral future of society. He also curates and hosts innovative workshops, salons, and conferences, including the annual Horizons: Perspectives on Psychedelics and the MAPS Psychedelic Science conferences. Dr. Goldsmith’s book, Psychedelic Healing: The Promise of Entheogens for Psychotherapy and Spiritual Development, describes the influence of psychedelics on the development of his world view, personality theory and clinical practice. Trained in humanistic, transpersonal, and Eastern traditions, Dr. Goldsmith maintains a private psychotherapy practice in Dumbo, Brooklyn.
Ralph and myself (Zach Leary) sat down at the MAPS Psychedelic Science '17 conference in Oakland, CA on April 23rd to embark on a wide reaching conversation that focussed on the early days of his research at Harvard, the culture of the 60's and how much has changed in the last 50 years. Of course, we also talked about the time he spent with Timothy Leary and Richard Alpert, the nature of consciousness itself and a new way of thinking about "ecology" as a concept. His new book "Ecology of Consciousness: The Alchemy of Personal, Collective, and Planetary Transformation" is out now wherever books are sold. Ralph is truly one of the great inspirational elder statements of the modern psychedelic movement and I hope you enjoyed this as much as I did. Ralph Metzner PhD (born May 18, 1936, in Germany) is an American psychologist, writer and researcher, born in Germany, who participated in psychedelic research at Harvard University in the early 1960s with Timothy Leary and Richard Alpert (later named Ram Dass). Metzner is a psychotherapist and Professor Emeritus of psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco, where he was formerly the Academic Dean and Academic Vice-president. Metzner has been involved in consciousness research, including psychedelics, yoga, meditation and shamanism for over 45 years. He is a co-founder and President of the Green Earth Foundation, a non-profit educational organization devoted to healing and harmonizing the relationship between humans and the Earth, and a signatory to the 9/11 Truth Statement. Metzner was featured in the 2006 film Entheogen: Awakening the Divine Within, a documentary about rediscovering an enchanted cosmos in the modern world.

Tea tidings with the Teafaerie at MAPS Psychedelic Science 2013 conference. Who IS the Teafaerie, and how does she manifest the psychedelic dream? The Teafaerie has been an avid entheogenic explorer her entire adult life and she has served as ground control for well over 100 trips. A real-life superheroine, we discuss the burgeoning meme of superhumanity, the Ultraculture, and the roots of this post-human possibility in the conscious festival scene and psychedelic culture worldwide. Teafaerie writes for Erowid on all aspects of psychedelics and virtuality, and her Western take on the shamanic realms from a data-information space is a valuable signpost in the cultural cosmovisions. Discover the secrets of 420, and the Teafaerie's secret origin in the Rainbow Tribe, Philip K Dick is channeled, and the seed dream of the Jedi Temple, a training academy in the shamanic arts is explored in this gonzo interview with experiential journalist Rak Razam.
