We're joined by Charles "Big Angry" Adams to give us some of his craziest stories from his time as a lawyer, his takes on the attacks on "misinformation," and what that really means for free speech. Charles provides some legal expertise on what's really happening with the immigration issue plaguing the country. 72-year-old former Patriots coach Bill Belichick was recently spotted with his 24-year-old girlfriend. Walmart has opened veterinarian and grooming services in five of its stores. A Baltimore teacher is facing charges after using ChatGPT to duplicate his boss' voice and make him appear racist. Every year on Mental Health Awareness day, the WHO reminds us to take care of our mental health. While there's no vaccine for mental health, there are steps you can take to ensure your mental health is stable. We go over a few. A Georgia environmental official collapses and dies near the state Capitol after testifying about a toxic BioLab fire. Kenny Johnson, the Rockdale County Soil and Water Conservation District supervisor, testified alongside business owners and leaders about the BioLab chemical fire in Conyers, about 25 miles outside Atlanta, which spewed clouds of hazardous chlorine gas and smoke throughout the area. Sadly, Michigan comedian and friend of the show Norm Stulz actually did pass away for real this time after a long battle with cancer. Today Backpack Healthcare offers a first of its kind certification program for pediatric mental health counseling, a network for certified counselors, and a gamification app. On National Children's Mental Health Awareness Day, Backpack announced that they've raised $9M in venture capital to expand their reach. This week marked Mental Health Awareness Day in the UK, and if I am honest, I completely missed it until I saw social media posts of others talking about it after the event. We can often be running 100mph in our lives, that we can often miss the opportunity to look up and recognise when we need to make a change or recalibrate our lives to ensure our own wellbeing is maintained and cared for. In this episode, I share a recording of a recent talk I did at a networking event, sharing a moment in time when I realised there was something seriously wrong with the version of reality I had created, and that some major changes needed to take place to rebuild my life and discover what true authenticity and happiness meant to me.Resources:- Download your FREE 'Who Do You Serve?' Michail's caught a cold this week, so he joins us from his bed. But that didn't stop him scoring at the weekend. With VAR finally going his way, has he changed his mind on wanting to bin it? And Newcastle hit Brentford for five at the weekend, with Callum getting an assist but no goal. How far do the boys think Arsenal can take their title challenge after an incredible display against Liverpool at the weekend? And what about Liverpool's poor start? Where do Michail and Callum see them finishing this season? Michail and Callum judge a left-footed free kick in this week's Striker's Union and we hear why neither of them are ever on free kick duty. Apply to join the boys' Union by sending in your own football stories, voice notes or videos to ffp@bbc.co.uk. There was a lot of talk about the age of Liverpool's ageing starting XI at the weekend vs Arsenal young side. With the boys now both in their 30s, they discuss how important age really is and what is more important, youth or experience. Footballers Unfiltered: It was Mental Health Awareness Day on Monday, so appropriately, the boys were asked how much mental health is spoken about in the dressing room? And how do they balance caring for people with the required determination, focus and resilience needed to get to the top? Have a question for the boys, email us at ffp@bbc.co.uk.

Even though you're struggling with them, they don't define who you are." - Cassidy Sanchez Today, we are talking about Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and Anxiety. In this conversation we talk about: - The relief of getting a diagnosis - Tools to deal with intrusive thoughts - Breaking generational stigmas - The impact of showing people they are not alone Even if you don't have OCD or anxiety, I think you'll learn a lot in this episode about your thoughts, overcoming thoughts and dealing with intrusive thoughts. In Episode 129, Billy Donnelly elaborates on why he takes issue with World Mental Health Awareness Day, or even National Mental Health Awareness Week and Month. He explains how he finds these spotlight days to be a bit insulting, with everyone joining a hashtag or some social media trend in its name and then moving on once it's over. He talks about how mental health really needs to be a priority all the time, and that, while he's seen strides made in talking about things much more frequently, thus helping eliminate some stigma, we all need to continue discussing our mental health struggles, issues and illnesses in the hopes that perhaps our experiences may be able to help someone else. And, for him, that stretches far beyond just one single day.

In honor of Mental Health Awareness Day on October 10th, this week's podcast is all about anxiety and taking care of your mental health. I'm sharing my personal story of dealing with anxiety as an entrepreneur, as a woman, and as a mom. It's so important to me to normalize talking about anxiety and mental illness, because the more we do, the more others are willing to share their own stories. The truth is that over 19% of adults in the United States have an anxiety disorder, so if you're struggling, you are not alone. We are talking about:the difference between feelings of anxiety and an anxiety disorderdiscovering the source of my anxietythe unique anxieties we face as women, as entrepreneurs, and as momsthe ten things that have helped me the most in managing my anxiety Please check out my website! I'm always updating it with valuable info and free content like workbooks and such to help you propel your business forward!
In honor of this past Sunday, Mental Health Awareness Day, I have the pleasure of interviewing a very special guest today, LPC, MA Therapist Mycah Whiting! I can speak firsthand to her expertise because she is MY therapist! The best way I can think to be open and honest about mental health is to bring you into my world and share advice from my therapist that has changed my life forever in the best ways possible. Mental health is a topic that carries a lot of stigma and my goal with today's episode is to help eliminate that stigma! We should all be open about our mental health and Mycah will help walk us through all of the mental health basics such as: - What to talk to your friends about vs your therapist - Who should go to therapy? - Daily habits for good mental health - Alcohol, how to use it responsibility, when to take a break We also discuss important topics with my own mental health. I have suffered from anxiety and depression my entire life and ever since I started going to therapy a few years ago, my mental health has been so much more manageable and I am much better equipped to handle what comes my way. We also discuss a recent trauma that I went through with a break up ***TRIGGER WARNING*** This podcast includes discussions of cheating an infidelity, please be aware before listening to this episode that I will not be responding to messages asking to names names or call anyone out, this discussion is to help anyone else that has been through the trauma that cheating causes by hearing advice from my therapist to help you and anyone you know that you are not alone and how to get through this.
Today is Mental Health Awareness day, if you need support please reach out and always know you are not alone.
What do you do to stay mindful? Maybe exercising, meditation, staring at a glitter jar, breathing techniques or practising gratitude? Or you might be thinking, I'm not really sure what that is?... Whatever your understanding or current habits , this is the place for you! Following the easing of lockdown in the UK, this week's topic seemed like an apt choice. It's also Mental Health Awareness Day on the 10th October - perhaps this episode may give you some ideas in advance and help you to reflect on what you are doing regularly to boost your own mental wellbeing. In Jack's 12th episode, another two-parter, he chats to Jess and Joe from Hertfordshire Mind Network. The charity support all over 18s in Hertfordshire, as well as offering specific support to children and young people over the age of 10. They talk about what the mental health charity do to support children, young people and their parents and carers, as well as professionals working with them. They reflect on how Covid has affected how they run the service and impacted upon service user; discuss some practical tips to help with anxiety; debate the pros and cons of social media for mental health and, of course, their ideas for what the future of mental health may look like.
