Holger Müller ist in erster Linie durch seinen Ausbilder Schmidt bekannt geworden. Dabei könnte Holger nicht weiter entfernt von seinem alter Ego sein. Und doch ist er ein intensiver Teil von ihm. Wie bei jedem Mann. Mit 17 machte Müller eine Ausbildung zum Industriekaufmann in einem Schmuckbetrieb. 1989 leistete er seinen Grundwehrdienst bei der Luftwaffe. Während dieser Zeit kam ihm die Idee zum Ausbilder Schmidt, als er auf der Stube einen Ausbilder mimte und seine Kameraden anschiss. Wir sprechen in dieser Podcastfolge über Humor in entspannten und gestressten Zeiten. Humor über Krieg und die Grenzen von Humor. Holger Müller wechselt in seinen Vorträgen auch in seinen Ausbilder Schmidt und wieder zurück. Auch davon erzählt er mir in unserer Podcastfolge. 1989 stieß er zur Charles Atlas Theatergruppe dazu. Im Mai 1994 gründete er die Comedytruppe Les Hot Banditos. Mit einigen Freunden gründete Müller 1997 die Kleinkunstbühne Theaterchen in Idar-Oberstein. Er zog 1999 nach Köln. Im selben Jahr schloss er seine Ausbildung an der Köln Comedy Schule ab und schuf seine Comedyfigur „Ausbilder Schmidt“. Seit 2001 ist er hauptberuflich Komiker und verkörpert die Rolle seither im Fernsehen, auf Bühnen sowie im Radio. Holger Müller ist als Speaker auf Veranstaltungen und stellt in seinen Vorträgen seine Kunstfigur vor und erläutert interessante Spannungsbögen zwischen seiner Person und seiner Comedy-Figur.

Wie kann man Provokationen hilfreich einsetzen? Eine Mutter kommt mit ihrem Sohn ins Coaching. Sie kamen zu zweit. Der Sohn war 17, hatte die Schule geschwänzt, räumte sein Zimmer nicht mehr so auf. Er hatte überhaupt wenig Bock auf irgendetwas. Er war sehr gut gekleidet, schlank und wirkte ganz sortiert. Die Mutter war sehr aufgelöst und voller Sorge. Der Sohn setze sich mit den Worten “Ich brauche keine Therapie und werde deshalb auch nichts sagen!”. Darauf antwortet meine Kollegin Birgit Deutschmann zugewandt und liebevoll: “Das ist super, dann habe ich mehr Zeit zum Reden.” Sie redete also mit der Mutter und sagte zu ihr sehr liebevoll provokativ “Schau dir deinen Sohn an, aus dem wird nichts mehr. Die einzige Karriere die er noch vor sich hat, ist als Obdachloser unter einer Brücke zu leben. Sie könnte ihm ja bei Gelegenheit nochmal eine Suppe vorbeibringen. Ansonsten ist wirklich Hopfen und Malz verloren!” Wenn man das so liest, zieht es einem wirklich die Schuhe aus. Man kann nicht glauben, dass Birgit so etwas sagt. Dazu musst Du wissen, daß Birgit die wohl respektvollste und wertschätzende Person ist, die man auf diesem Planeten treffen kann. Ihre Haltung könnte nicht zugewandter sein. Sie traut Mutter und Sohn viel zu und vor allem möchte sie Bewegung in die Beziehung von den beiden bringen. Diese Haltung macht etwas sehr besonderes mit ihrem Humor. Dazu ist sie der „Advocatus diaboli“: also sie begeistert sich für das Problem. Und zum ersten Mal will niemand von dem Sohn, dass er sich verändert. Sondern empfiehlt im quasi mit einem Augenzwinkern sein Problem zu behalten. Das verändert sofort die Richtung im Gespräch. Bevor die Mutter antworten konnte, schaltete sich der Sohn ein und sagte “So schlimm bin ich nun auch wieder nicht. Ich kann sehr wohl wieder regelmäßig zur Schule gehen und auch meinen Müll entsorgen!” Er verstand die Sorgen der Mutter und nach der einen Sitzung hatte sich das Problem in Luft aufgelöst. Natürlich arbeitet man mit dem provokativen Stil auch an komplexeren Themen und setzt liebevolle Provokationen neben vielen anderen Tools ein. Manchmal geht ein Perspektivwechsel jedoch einfach verblüffend schnell.

Die Ausbilderin für pferdegestütztes Coaching ist einen ungewöhnlichen Weg gegangen. Nach einem Sozialpädagogikstudium hat sie angefangen mit Pferden im Coaching zu arbeiten. Pferde sind noch deutlich sensibler als Menschen und geben direkt Feedback: schonungslos ehrlich. Gloria begleitet Führungskräfte in ihrer Kommunikation und ihrer Wirkung. Inzwischen bildet sie pferdegestützte Coaches aus. Mit ihrem Mann Timo Ameruso, der als Pferdepsychologe oft in schwierigen Momenten zwischen Pferd und Reiter begleitet, teilt sie eine unglaubliche Erfolgsgeschichte.

Wie verändert man denn bitteschön die Kultur in einem Unternehmen? Vera Geier, die Mitgründerin des UCN Netzwerkes meint es ernst. Einmalig: Eine organisationsübergreifende Gruppe aus Führungskräften durchläuft beim UCN gemeinsam neun Tage, mit täglich wechselnden Trainer*innen und Themen, woraus sich eine einmalige Vielfalt fürs das persönliche Lernen und Entwickeln ergibt. Die Trainer werden vom UCN selber ausgebildet und sind Menschen in eben jenen Unternehmen, die ihre Führungskräfte und Kultur verändern möchte. Dies beschreibt keine klassische Führungskräfteausbildung eines Unternehmens sondern ein geben & nehmen Prinzip in Konzernen. Darüber sprechen wir in dieser Podcastfolge. For today's Czechia in 30 minutes show, we bring you an exlusive interview with anti-fascist Sudeten German Alois Ullmann and his two grandchildren who sat down with us in our studio. Alois Ullmann was a key figure in the Sudeten German social democratic movement. He fled to Great Britain during the Nazi regime but later returned to Prague. After being imprisoned in concentration camps, he worked to rebuild his party, Seliger Gemeinde, but was thwarted by the expulsion of Sudeten Germans. He later organized the resettlement of Sudeten German anti-fascists, known as "Aktion Ullmann."  As the 80th anniversary of the end of the Second World War approaches, his grandchildren, Sally Bywater and Chris Ullmann, reflect on his legacy, with the help of historian Thomas Oellermann who sets the stage for this painful period of history. She's called into Armand's school for a parent-teacher conference alongside Sarah (Ellen Dorrit Petersen) and Anders (Endre Hellestveit) the parents of Armand's best friend, Jon.To say it's bad news is the most severe understatement. Jon has accused Armand of sexual assault, the violent and dehumanizing kind one would expect from someone with a high-schooler's understanding of sexuality.Elisabeth is expectedly blindsided, fiercely defending her son and questioning the intents, the facts, the biases of all involved. Sarah demands justice for her son and immediate action on the school's part. Anders wants what his wife wants.The school's de facto liaison, a junior teacher named Sunna (a sympathetic and highly pitied - the kind of pity derived from being someone sent first over the hill to sustain every rock, arrow, cannonball and nasty word - Thea Lambrechts Vaulen), is just desperately hoping a dialogue between the parents can inspire some concept of a plan.If you're looking for a movie wherein you can crack the code and solve the mystery, this movie isn't it. It's more preoccupied with the parties involved. Their personalities and histories clash and it's in the discovery of the interplays that the story really plays out. Writer/director Halfdan Ullmann Tøndel drops these folks into a cavernous school with high ceilings, arched hallways. Every step echoes; secrets can be discovered regardless of whether the conspirators whisper. It's an environment haunted by the ghosts (maybe literal?) of tragedy, of the sinister and wounded natures that plague us all.Near the end, Elisabeth discusses with Sunna the manner in which best to understand and perceive other people. It's not myopic nor impressionistic, but rather somewhere in-between. It's an amorphous yet graceful stamp on a movie whose surreal darkness can be a tough ask on an audience. Humanity is fickle and imperfect. To pretend otherwise betrays the very nature of who we are. Lo demuestra en La Tutoría, película cuenta cómo Elisabeth (Renate Reinsve) es llamada al colegio para tener una reunión con la dirección del centro y los padres de otro niño. Send us a Text Message.Yes, Kristin Lavransdatter is the highest-grossing Norwegian film of all time. That isn't as impressive as it might sound, as the movie only brought in $3.7 million in box office receipts, but virtually all of that came from domestic sales. Pretty much unknown outside Scandinavia, the movie was a sensation when released in Norway in 1995.   An estimated two-thirds of the country's population have viewed it.   The movie is based on the first volume of Sigrid Undset's trilogy about the life of an ordinary woman in fourteenth century Norway, which won her the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1928.  Directed and written by the celebrated Norwegian actress Liv Ullmann, the film is a very faithful adaptation. The production strove for historical accuracy in costume and settings, and most of the dialogue is taken directly from the novel. (Sigrid Undset is credited as co-screenplay writer.)  The reason I decided to devote a short episode to this movie and to its source novel is they both are worthy attempts to examine an aspect of the Middle Ages virtually ignored in popular culture, the life of ordinary people.   Kristin Lavransdatter is the coming of age story of young woman from a prosperous family in rural fourteenth-century Norway who is seduced by and falls in love with a knight with a (justifiably) scandalous reputation. Whether Kristin's mentalité in the novel and film is really "medieval" is a matter of academic debate. In Episode 620, Patrick Lay from Dark Horse's upcoming Death Strikes: The Emperor of Atlantis graphic novel along with a holiday tradition!   Patrick and I talk about this timely and timeless original graphic novel from him as artist and journalist Dave Maas, due in bookstores on January 23 and in comics shops on January 24. It's described this way: “From 1941 to 1945, the Nazis operated a concentration camp called Terezín (or Theresienstadt) 30 miles outside Prague in what is modern-day Czech Republic. The former fortress town was home to many Jewish artists, writers, musicians, dramatists, actors, and other intellectuals. More than 140,000 people passed through Terezín during the war, and while only a few thousand outlived the Nazi regime, a vast amount of their writings, compositions and artworks survived to tell their stories.
