Join us for this week's episode of the Coach Code Podcast with Michael Collier as we talk about life, business, and whatever else we dive into. Michael Collier is originally from Atlanta. Moved to Orlando to work for Disney in 2004 and worked there for 12 years at one point holding the title of Walt Disney World Ambassador. Currently operating in Orlando, Florida. He joined exp 2019 and went from facing bankruptcy in 2020 to hitting ICON in 2021. Now, Michael is also leading a team called Dream Builders Elite at eXp Realty. Michael is married to Courtnee Collier (who also works for Disney) and they have two kids, Brooklyn 7 years old, and Bryson 3 years old. Show Notes 03:28 Life of Transparency and Authenticity  Accepting the fact that you're human taking ego out of it and realizing that we're not superhuman We make mistakes and we're Not gonna always Make the right choice Or the best choice but it was the choice that you made  05:16 Michael Collier's Journey  Michael moved from Atlanta to Orlando And decided to give Disney a try and it ended up being the best thing he could've done. He became a Disney spoke person at Walt Disney World Globally From there he made a lot of executives and was privileged to know about some Information and He knew from that point that he was able to use this for the future. He ended up being with Disney for 12 years. What was supposed to be a six-month internship at Disney ended up in a 12-year career. From there, the year 2016 he started his real estate career.  10:35 The Key Pillars of The Disney Touch  There are some key things that have become ingrained in you and then what do you do how you behave to your clients and in your team to the things that you do on a daily basis. Michael likes to tell his clients that he brings the Disney guest Service into real estate Transactions Because he knows how people want to be treated. Michael said that “Disney is all about under promise and over-delivering” Build trust through honesty through integrity. Michael asks himself how can he create magical moments Even in the transaction that he's with.  23:08 How to Proactively Manage Overall Client Experience  Proactively managing the overall experience does not end. Ask yourself, how can you enhance it, how can you build upon it, how can you continue to improve upon it and how can you enhance the overall interaction and time that they actually get to spend with you and the brand. Michael said that our current society has made us so transactional that many times it's hard to think beyond the transaction. Any business person knows that it cost more to acquire a new customer than it is to retain an old customer. Create a system focused on retaining all customers or databases and making sure that when they think about real estate your company is the one that comes up to the top of their minds.  25:45 Mind Share and Market Share  It has to be my share then market share and so if you're trying to expand your market share in your given target market area you have to have mind share. Create experience and expose your brand in the marketplace No matter what industry or what business you were in You have to put the experience with you, your company, and your brand first and foremost.  34:54 Referrals, Connections, and New Relationships  Don't be afraid to ask people for connections and referrals. Some people want to help other people that they know, like and trust so they're happy to do that. Another is to stay in touch and keep constant communication with them and at least give them a weekly update. 71% of people choose not to do business with the same agent that they did business with before due to a lack of communication  40:45 Reasons Why is it Hard to Follow Up and Maintain Relationships  One reason, why it is hard for agents to follow up and maintain relationships, is one is not having a process. Second, they're not intentional but they also don't believe in the value that they bring to that experience. Stay consistent long enough to see the results, The positive results build the confidence that you need 43:45 How to Manage Your Profit Make sure what you're spending money on and holding those dollars accountable for the return. Think about what you're doing daily within your control to acquire new business. Be consistent and disciplined in the process and always think about ways And strategies that are within your control that are going to help you get new business.

In this week’s Walt Disney World News, there is some important information coming from the Walt Disney World Resort about what the future holds for Guests looking to stay on property, as well as more from the resorts and the Magic Kingdom. The Walt Disney World Rumor Mill was quiet this week, but stay tuned next week for more rumors from the parks. I want to also bring you what I can best describe as the Ultimate Guide to the Disney Vacation Club (DVC). He will also help clear up some of the misconceptions and concerns, explains what happens once you step inside one of the kiosks located around property, and so much more. It is an in-depth look at all aspects of the DVC, and why the Disney Vacation Club might be right for you and your family. In my continuing tribute to Disney’s Animal Kingdom’s 10th Anniversary, which is being celebrated in the parks this coming Earth Day, April 22, I want to once again welcome one of Disney’s Animal Kingdom’s Cast Members that works backstage to help make the magic happen for us onstage.
