Brief thoughts on the death of Tyre Nichols...
It was bound to happen...this is it, our first Michael Bay movie. But dammit what better way to ring in the New Year than with Bad Boys 2 because it is a helluva ride. In fact we ride together.....we die together.... Bad Boys for life. Charlie and Nate wanted a fun sequel to continue their theme and thought what better one than the ultimate if not the best examples of a buddy cop actioner. So listen along as the guys strap in for an absolute wild ride with more car chases, explosions, bullets, and flat out hilarious dialogue than one movie has the right to have!! Take a drink every time the fellas say, “Mike Lowery” and be prepared..(don't listen to Nate...you will die) *GMBMAHM and associates are not responsible for Nate*

Whatcha gonna do? Watch all three "Bad Boys" movies, that's what. What a long, strange road it's been for Mike Lowery and Marcus Burnett, two Miami detectives who trade barbs, look cool in slow-motion and kill piles and piles of bad guys. They also kill a bunch of innocent poor people with a humvee in "Bad Boys II," because ACTION! In 1995, director Michael Bay wasn't yet known for his Bayhem, and so the original "Bad Boys" is a somewhat subdued affair until the final 20 minutes. That won't stop the Will Smith and Martin Lawrence from engaging in a full hour of excruciating mistaken identity-comedy focused on keeping murder witness Tea Leoni safe. You know Tea Leoni... that lady who plays Madame Secretary on "Madame Secre......zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. After wrestling with the relative charm of the original, Old Millennials Tyler and Angela shift their focus to "Bad Boys II" from 2003, a movie that's as insane and excessive as it is dreadful. Stinky dead bodies, racial stereotypes and homophobia for days here folks, plus one admittedly snazzy car chase. Then it's on to the new "Bad Boys for Life." Michael Bay skipped this go around, and the movie is... passable! We dive into some spoilers here, but basically if you've seen a "Fast & Furious" movie in the last five years, then you can probably guess this movie's twists and turns. Bad Boys podcast for OMRM It's our "Bad Boys" extravaganza with deep, thoughtful discussion and criticism. Actually, we spend a lot of time gushing about the MVP of the franchise Joe "Joey Pants" Pantoliano, talking about how to properly say "MIKE LOWERY" and get into a questionable debate about Tea Leoni's teeth. But hey, we also quadruple down on our sustained love for Edgar Wright's "Hot Fuzz and celebrate the Oscar success of "Parasite," so don't turn on us, hashtagFilmTwitter! The ratchet Coach Kev is BACK to his random antics as he takes over the BWA Chop up session intro, kicking off this episode with some great energy. It’s gonna be necessary, because this week the fellas dive further into the deep end of relationships...where Coach joins Jerry in ruffling a few feathers by venting his frustrations with dating overprotective pet owners. Yeah...y’all gotta hear this one. All we gotta say is guard your chopped beef sandwiches around renegade puppies. But before we head that direction, the guys hear a rumor that SOMEBODY on the podcast crew (CJ) got a promotion...so an impromptu press conference is held where we are able to get a few minutes with the smoothest detective this side of the Mississippi.... Det. Dub F. Weathersby.... aka “just the facts ma’am” aka “I found fingerprints on the phone charger” aka “those texts messages weren’t deleted, they were just hidden from plain sight.” Watch out Mike Lowery, we got a new cool guy in town! But of course, all jokes aside...the guys are proud of CJ, and ask him a few questions about his profession and his goal of combining his passion for computer forensics and crime fighting. By this point, Jerry jumps back in the facilitator seat to chime in on “What’s Happening.” After we get a chuckle out of Floyd Mayweather’s first documented L, Coach Kev wastes no time stirring up the controversy with his proclamation that “Lion King ain’t a good movie. And I guess I’m just not a fan of talking animal movies.” (Yes, he REALLY said that about THE Lion King). As if THAT wasn’t enough to piss off his fan base...Coach Kev then shares his sporadic thoughts about Pet Owners, and his past struggles from competing with puppies for affection. Realizing that all this is related to relationship mastery, the guys ponder how to navigate dating when stepping into pre-established familial relationships. Finally we pick back up on the topic of the day, where the newly dubbed “Horn dog Jerry” stirs up some interesting relationship questions such as: Can your significant other “drift” through your phone? Does trust relieve tensions if it goes both ways? What’s the gateway to controlling behavior? Do you need to tell your significant other about everybody that gives you flirty attention? There’s much much more in this week’s chop up session, so kick back and join the debate. Between renegade puppies, checking out other people while in relationships, and liking pictures while Instagram creeping, we are pretty sure you’ll want to add to the conversation! Don’t hesitate to hit us up @bwacoaching to throw in your two cents!
