On this episode of On the Rocks, drag is not a crime as we welcome Drag Race alum and drag superstar Pandora Boxx to chat about her childhood, getting into the drag biz, building her empire, some behind the scenes of All Stars, and her creative process for her new, hit dance album, BOXX! …with guest co-host Jordan Jayro and Alexander Rodriguez, your favorite host with the sassy most! Raise a glass and let the drinks begin, it's On the Rocks!
Pandora Boxx was drag before it reached anywhere close to the popularity it has today. Pandora had interviewed RuPaul years before Drag Race even aired and when it did, knew she was destined to be on the show. She sent in a video for season 2, and the rest, they say, is history. She won the title of Miss Congeniality in the second season of RuPaul's Drag Race, clearly the fan favorite. She subsequently returned for the first and sixth seasons of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars. Boxx has also appeared in all three seasons of the show's spin-off series, RuPaul's Drag U. Her new dance album ia called BOXX, and is her most personal work ever. It's fun and quirky, and while most of her previous releases were a tad on the dirty side, BOXX is totally PG. It releases on July 15th, and she will be performing the soon-to-be hit single DANCE at Drag Con LA on July 19th. You do not have to wait, however-- we will be premiering DANCE on our show today! With co-host Brody Levesque

Aggy Dune Queen is the QUEEN MOTHER of the Rochester drag scene. Aggy has had an undeniable impact on myself, Darienne Lake, Pandora Boxx and a gaggle of many others since the moment she hit the stage. (Whether they like to admit it or not!) The magic we have on stage with banter is truly something I will be grateful for until I stop clomping around in my size 12 pleaser pumps! Aggy never disappoints and despite the obvious ageism in the entertainment world she defies the odds and consistently surprises audiences with her glamorous, iconic and incredible performances. The Lucy to my Ethel, Aggy Dune!
Happy Pride! This week, Peaches and Michael are road tripping in style in celebration of 1994's THE ADVENTURES OF PRISCILLA, QUEEN OF THE DESERT! In addition to discussing the film's undeniable impact on queer representation at the movies, our hosts delve into how this classic's unapologetic fabulousness paved the way for a cultural drag explosion. Joining the conversation is legendary Australian pop icon Mark Trevorrow, who pulls back the curtain to share stories about the real people and queer scene that inspired the movie. Then, drag superstar Pandora Boxx stops by to reveal how PRISCILLA helped her explain her own journey to others…and why it continues to inspire. From flip-flop dresses to bus-top opera, this episode has it all! GO!
“When I was younger I tended to think that I was an artist, and now I tend to think I'm more of an artistic collaborator… at least in my job. I'm certainly and artist at heart but when it's for work, it's not about me.” Calling all artists who are collaborators! Roman Molino Dunn is one of the leading music producers and film scorers in our industry. Not only is a multi-hyphenate himself, he works with multi-hyphenates in our industry. His approach is different from many who collaborate – and gives himself over completely to the artist who is hiring him. In this episode, you can listen to how a collaboration with a leading music producer would go. Roman also has some great stories about working with some of our favorite RuPaul's Drag Race queens like Peppermint and Pandora Boxx. This podcast episode is all about expectations in collaboration and keeping our Ego in check – and Dunn certainly has that down to a science. “It's not yours,” says Dunn. “And you should be okay to essentially scrap something and not being offended. What I mean is, you need to write music that you love so much that you're willing to submit it but not love it so much that you're not willing to change it.” Roman Molino Dunn is an award-winning composer, Billboard-charting music producer (a.k.a Electro- point), and co-owner of Mirrortone Studios. His film and TV composing work includes Huracán on HBO Max, Snakehead (Samuel Goldwyn Films), Laser Candy (Netflix), Ru Paul's Drag Race All Stars (Para- mount+), Red Rocket (A24), Kid Correspondent (Participant) a Youtube Original, and the cult classic LGBTQIA feature film Bear City 3. Known for producing and mixing his own scores, in addition to a com- poser, as a film music producer and recording engineer he has most recently worked on The Card Counter (Schrader / Scorsese) and Ma Rainey's Black Bottom (Netflix). In 2021 he has worked on films that screened at three of the “Big Five” festivals: Cannes, Venice, and Toronto. TV networks that have used his work include HBO, E!TV, A&E, MTV, Oxygen, BET, Bravo, Netflix, Paramount+, VH1, Discovery, TLC, NBC, and NASCAR. Brands who have used his music include Burger King, PayPal, Marriott, Michael Kors, NBC, The Ad Council, Clinique, Snapple, Globe and Mail, Honeywell, Maserati, Tom Ford, Kopari, and many more. In addition to corporate and film music composition, as a music producer, he has worked with major and indie labels and Grammy-winning artists, including GLAAD-nominated al- bums, particularly with reality TV stars (Love & Hip Hop, Dr. Miami, Ru Paul's Drag Race, Real House- wives of New Jersey, Howard Stern, Bad Girls Club), and his productions and soundtracks have climbed both the Billboard and iTunes top 20 charts. “Anytime I'm working on music, I should treat it as such… as art.” Learn more about your ad choices.
Schnallt euch an, macht euch bereit, jetzt geht's ab, denn es ist Zeit: Das sagenumwobene Game Within A Game findet endlich statt!
Was ist Nils‘ Lieblingsstaffel?
RuPaul's Drag Race All Star Pandora Boxx On Ginger & Eureka Drama and Jan Reacts To Trinity K. Bonet Eliminating Her & Being 'Polarizing'.
Ist dies unsere beste Folge The Gayze bisher? Möglicherweise! Hört rein und entscheidet selbst.
Come on All Stars 6, let's get sixening!
Get ready to hear The Gayze in a brand new light.
