On today's episode of The Therapy Crouch, Abbey and Peter are back answering more of your Ask Me Anythings, and this week things get VERY personal as the pair tackle bedroom confidence, dirty talk and whether getting into the best shape of your life can actually cause problems in your relationship. After one listener reveals her newly ripped husband suddenly wants all the lights on in the bedroom, Abbey and Peter debate body confidence before the conversation somehow ends up with rotating beds, sex tapes and a revelation from the Crouches that catches everyone slightly off guard! We also hear from a listener whose request for a little more communication in the bedroom spectacularly backfires when her boyfriend starts delivering some of the least seductive lines imaginable. Abbey reveals the one word she could NEVER cope with Peter saying, while Pete attempts to offer some bedroom advice of his own.Elsewhere, a new Therapy Crouch superfan gets banned from listening to the podcast in public, Abbey and Peter reveal what they won't let the kids do on holiday, and one listener's mission to get fit and improve his love life leads to his wife quite literally keeping score of their bedroom activity.Things get slightly heated before the end as Abbey's innocent request for a cup of tea turns into a full-blown marital debate over whether she's secretly using some very clever reverse psychology on Pete!00:00 Introduction01:21 Abbey's Animal Obsession05:08 Who's Funnier: Abbey or Peter?06:56 Ask Me Anything07:34 Lights On In The Bedroom09:31 Abbey's “Bulging Disc”11:04 Who Has The Better Body?14:31 Abbey & Peter's Sex Tape15:22 Dirty Talk Disasters17:39 “That Is Correct!”20:16 Abbey's Worst Bedroom Word21:06 Banned From Listening To The Podcast23:56 What Abbey & Peter Ban At Home25:38 The Kids' Holiday Rules27:17 Brewers Droop & Getting Fit28:00 A Shag A Week28:20 Keeping Score In The Bedroom29:24 Abbey's Relationship Reward System30:28 The Cup Of Tea Argument32:35 Abbey & Peter Fall OutTo contact us:Email: thetherapycrouch@gmail.comInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/thetherapycrouchpodcast/TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/ @thetherapycrouchWebsite: https://thetherapycrouch.com/For more from Peter https://twitter.com/petercrouchFor more from Abbey https://www.instagram.com/abbeyclancyOur clips channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZntcv96YhN8IvMAKsz4Dbg Hosted on Acast. Hey there, freaks & ghouls. Dropping this episode to announce that our disc-by-disc coverage of the Machina: Aranea Alba Editio box set is now complete on our Patreon. Since the CD and digital release still isn't available, we have held off on releasing the episodes on the main feed. After asking listeners on social media what they would prefer, we reached a happy medium and have unlocked the first 5 episodes covering the 5 main discs in the box set. The bonus disc coverage (Discs 6-8) will remain Patreon exclusives. Justin of The Deep Dive joined me on these episodes and we're very proud of the work we did. It was a LOT to cover, but we know fellow Pumpkinheads will enjoy the geeky (USA) details we dive into. So head on over to our Patreon to listen to the coverage. I had some hardware and software issues that set the release schedule back, but thanks to Patreon supporters, I was able to replace and repair and we'll be back on track for episode releases. Sony's controversial decision to discontinue PlayStation discs is not having any impact on its business now, and it doesn't see any negative impact in the future, either. Plus, Zelda fans think they know when the Ocarina of Time remake will land. Max has all that and more in your Daily Fix!
New PlayStation games will no longer be released on discs from January 2028, the gaming giant has announced. It's owner Sony said that games will still be able to be bought in shops, but they would come with a digital code. There has been criticism of the announcement from some gamers online. But Sony says it has to adapt to consumer trends and a growing preference for digital downloads over physical discs. You know? I'm going to be honest, I knew Sony already knew going in that announcing PlayStation disc production ending wouldn't go over well, but I don't think they expected people would STILL be talking about this in droves even a month later. So why not join back into the conversation? I've still got stuff to say, and new examples! You will own nothing and like it! Oh, also, while I've got you here... Would you happen to know where my friend's house is? My phone died.

They compare notes on what's hitting, what's surprising, and what's keeping them hooked. In industry news, the Japanese Patent Office delivered a rare moment of public sass by rejecting Nintendo's Palworld‑related patent — signaling frustration with the ongoing legal battle. The guys then break down Nintendo's argument that Switch 2 customers have no right to U.S. tariff refunds because they “received exactly what they paid for,” a stance raising eyebrows across consumer rights discussions. Next, they dive into comments from the GameStop CEO, who claims Sony going disc‑less is “totally irrelevant,” noting physical software makes up only 12% of the company's business. The conversation expands into what this means for retail, collectors, and the future of physical media. The episode also features hands‑on impressions of Xbox Back‑Compat for PC — a new initiative launching with four classic games and potentially signaling a broader preservation push from Microsoft. To wrap things up, the Inflation Deflation Game of the Week spotlights Greendog: The Beached Surfer Dude! on Sega Genesis, as John and Ryan debate whether this tropical platformer is a hidden gem or just a relic of its era. Experiments to rejoin the Host have forged a bond with grieving pond farmer, Ooland. As their mutual obsession tightens, so Ooland's ponds grow more polluted and their farm cut off from what is really happening on the moon: a full-on Rutan invasion. As the Doctor and Peri strive to free Melmoth and Ooland from each other, another Doctor is at work close by - with far-reaching plans of his own for the lone Rutan. This release will have a limited CD pressing of 1500 copies. Writer Lizzie Hopley said: "I chose to use the Sixth Doctor and Peri in this story, because I've always adored the energy of those two. Nicola and Colin have always had such an amazing humour, and a unique ability to slide from this humour into serious change. I thought it would be great to pitch that energy against a messed-up love story. "It's basically impossible for a Rutan to fall in love, so I thought, well, let's do that then. I wanted us to care about this lone Rutan, and I wanted to create a tragedy, because if you invest in characters and you believe they care for one another, even for selfish reasons, then you can create terrible tragedy, and I wanted to have our Eighth and Sixth Doctors and Peri really experience that." Lead actor Colin Baker added: "I was rather captivated by the Romeo and Juliet story, the two warring factions who have not exactly a romantic relationship, but a relationship of affection, love, understanding. And I think that's rather sweet and rather tragic, and it really appealed to me." We break down Apple Music price hikes, Plex pass changes, TV Time updates, and HDHomeRun offline features, followed by big news from Xbox and PlayStation. The post Entertainment 2.0 #714 – PlayStation Kills Discs, Apple Music Price Hike & HDHomeRun Offline appeared first on The Digital Media Zone.
The economics behind the most popular video games are, in a word, staggering. Case in point: Grand Theft Auto 6 is slated to be released later this year, and according to IGN, it made $260 MILLION dollars during the first week of pre-orders. Some analysts estimate that the game could rake in about 5 BILLION dollars during its launch week. But don’t expect to have a hard copy to cherish for your collection – developer Rockstar Games announced last month that GTA 6 will only be available to download. Industry giant Sony says it too will soon be ditching discs. The company said earlier this month that it plans to discontinue physical game disc production for new PlayStation games starting in 2028. Sony says it’s reflecting a broader shift in consumer preference toward digital downloads. And this shift has consequences for local small businesses: With no discs to sell and trade, stores, especially ones that sell used games, will reap less revenue. Adam David owns Big Red’s Retro Games in Silverdale. He says he’s not surprised by these decisions: “Your newer, younger consumer doesn’t care about a physical disc. Your next generation of game players, they've grown up on digital, and at the same time they're too young to see the ramifications down the road of having just a digital library and the fact that, you know, it can be taken away from you” What are the ramifications and ripple effects when an industry changes the way we buy its products? It’s something Seattle-area journalist Jacob Robbins has been pondering – he wrote about the disappearance of physical media in games for his new Substack newsletter entitled “Side Quests.” GUEST: Jacob Robbins RELATED LINKS: It’s Going to Be the Biggest Video Game Launch Ever. A Steam Machine case based on the Companion Cube from Portal is no longer being made - because the company never had permission to make it in the first place. Sony is going to stop producing physical discs starting in January 2028. Sony is shutting down their PS3 and PS Vita digital stores over the next year. Some game preservation groups have said what the only real option is to preserve the artform, and the publishers don't like it.

Physical media is officially on the clock: PlayStation has announced it will stop supporting discs (January 2028), and we have thoughts. Paying extra for a disc drive that's about to be a paperweight, digital games that never got cheaper, movie libraries deleted overnight, the used market vanishing — we break down what a disc-free future means for gaming dads, whether Xbox follows suit, and why Nintendo cartridges might end up the last physical format our kids can inherit. Meanwhile, Jeff's first-ever playthrough of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time levels up — off the phone and onto a proper (borrowed-from-the-kids) 3DS, after an hour-long road trip with his teenager to snag a used copy that felt like lining up for a midnight launch. Motion-control archery, a time-travel puzzle at the bottom of a well, and a genuinely terrifying Ganondorf. And fresh off six months in Colombia, Trevor has a parenting confession: what do you tell your kids after they watch you play "nope, only English" with a police officer at a traffic checkpoint? A very dad conversation about shades of truth, bending rules the smart way, and why granola bar thieves should learn to hide the wrappers. Plus kids "failing successfully" with Canada's famous bagged milk — and we're closing in on Episode 400! Subscribe to the Podcast! It's been perhaps the darkest few weeks for video games in either of our lifetimes, so we're back to discuss the ongoing Video Game Apocalypse, from Xbox executing thousands of layoffs and divesting themselves of a half-dozen studios, to PlayStation ending physical media on their consoles even as they close the digital storefront on legacy systems, to ongoing price hikes making the entire hobby unaffordable for everyone. It's really never been this bad, but at least we can commiserate about it together! And after that, this episode has plenty of fun, too, as Sean talks about the latest Ultraman shows he's seen and ongoing adventures in Super Robot Wars Y, while Jonathan shares his experiences falling down the Street Fighter 6 rabbit hole and watching all the James Bond movies after playing 007: First Light. And we've got a great Odyssey-inspired Monthly Ten for you about unlikely adaptation ideas for pre-modern literature. Enjoy!
