Cersei is plotting, Doran is plotting, the Sand Snakes are hissing and the Watcher is watching. Meanwhile, back at the Wall Jon is doing everything he can to make as many enemies as possible while alienating his remaining friends. This can only go well! I say "Oberon" instead of "Oberyn" a million times in this episode for some reason. So close! That's Shakespeare. Chapters: ADWD The Watcher, Jon VIII Outro music: Skulls by Misfits

In this thirty-eighth episode of Learned Hands, the Official Podcast of the Westerosi Bar Association, Merry & Clint ask: How well does Doran Martell's Water Gardens speech move the ball? Our analysis this week includes:Your Hands finally cover the Dornish plot from the perspective of Prince Doran Martell, as he tries to convince the Sand Snakes to stop saying "OK Boomer" at him.Merry puts on her best Valley Girl accent. So much food porn.We give Ellaria Sand her laurels for delivering one of the most passionate, cogent, and beautiful speeches in the series (that is entirely ignored by everyone who hears it).Clint tells everyone what it's like to be an Old Man relating to The Youths. We ask which TSwift album represents the Sand Snakes the most? Sound off in the comments. No one has any idea what will happen to Doran's plan, other than there will be blood. We analyze Doran as the grass that hides the viper, and cover how his disability covers how people perceive him. A DEFINITIVE ruling is issued as to who does the Dornish plot better: book or show. We're already halfway through Season 7, as we approach one of the best episodes that occured in the latest part of the show's run, Season 7, Episode 3, "The Queen's Justice." This was a monumental episode for several different reasons, the most notable one being that this episode finally saw the long awaited first meeting between Jon Snow & Daenerys Targaryen, with Jon arriving at Dragonstone to treat with Daenerys and attempt to explain to her the threat from the dead, only to discover that Daenerys is hell bent on conquering all of the seven kingdoms, including bringing the North back into the fold. This episode also contains Cersei Lannister's most gangster moment since blowing up the Sept of Baelor, with Euron presenting the Sand Snakes to her as his gift to her, and Cersei getting to exact her long awaited revenge on Ellaria for Myrcella's murder in a scene that is equal parts jaw dropping as it is horrifying. The episode is just filled from top to bottom with incredible moments, characters reuniting and more. Bran finally arrives home in Winterfell and reunites with Sansa, only to shake her with his newfound powers. Jorah is cured of Greyscale and bids goodbye to Sam, who's both rewarded and punished for it. Tyrion enacts his plan to have the Unsullied seize Casterly Rock, only for them to be waylayed and trapped inland as Jaime has taken the full force of the Lannister army to Highgarden, taking out yet another one of Daenerys' allies, but not before Olenna gives him one last revelation before she departs from the world and the show. It's yet another high stakes episode as we inch even closer to the battle for the throne. We're really into the action now with Season 7, Episode 2 "Stormborn." The episode begins with Tyrion recapping the audience that the storm happening at the beginning of the episode is symbolic of Daenerys' forthcoming fury she's about to bring to Westeros. After she only makes a brief appearance at the end of last week's episode, Daenerys is back in Westeros and ready to bring the fire and the blood to Westeros, but not before she's propositioned by Melisandre to summon Jon to form an alliance of ice & fire. Jon receives Tyrion's letter and despite Sansa & the North's warning that it is a trap, decides to go, realizing the benefits of having 3 dragons helping to fight the army of the dead. Cersei holds court with the rest of the lords of Westeros she hasn't killed, and Jaime chooses a new commander of his armies. Arya makes a pit stop on the way to King's Landing where she has several run-ins with figures from her past. Sam defies the Citadel by choosing to heal Jorah of his greyscale. It ends with the first of several gangbuster action sequences with Euron Greyjoy's attack on Yara's fleet, with Euron brutally murdering two of the Sand Snakes in the first casualties of the war. We've made it to another one, and we've also reached an important milestone. The season 6 finale, "The Winds of Winter" still to this day remains one of the biggest and most important episodes of the entire show. It sets the course for the final two seasons, wraps up all the ancellary storylines, proved that the show had officially become the biggest show on the air at the time, and in particular this episode kicks off with one of the biggest moments of the entire show, with Cersei carrying out her grand plan of using Aerys Targaryen's hidden stash of wildfire to blow up the entire sept, wiping out all her enemies in one fell swoop. The fallout from this episode causes a myriad of different events, as the event is entirely too much for Tommen to bear, as well as finally giving Cersei the full power that she's been seeking this entire time. This is also a momentus episode for Jon & Daenerys as well, with Jon being crowned King in the North after his victory against Ramsay at the Battle of the Bastards, and Daenerys finally setting her sights on Westeros after years of being in Essos. But the minutia still continues to seep in, as Arya carries out her long dormant revenge against the Freys for the Red Wedding, Jaime realizes exactly what side he's on, Bran learns the truth of Jon's parentage, Sam arrives at the Citadel for Maester training & Olenna & the Sand Snakes choose new allies. Alright, we've officially reached the point of no return, Season 5, Episode 6, the infamous Dorne disaster, "Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken." The Martell sigil words, which seems to signify the pigheadedness of all the characters and their actions as they move towards the finale. This is the second episode written by Bryan Cogman & directed by Jeremy Podeswa, and has become very controversial in the years since both for the changes made to the Dorne storyline as well as the ending scene, which presents Sansa being horrifically and rather brutally sexually assaulted by Ramsay on the night of their wedding, a moment that was heavily criticized as being gratuituous for the sake of being gratuituous rather than actually contributing to the story in a meaningful way. Jaime & Bronn finally reach the Water Gardens to rescue Myrcella, but are interrupted by the Sand Snakes as they also make their attempt to kidnap and kill her. Arya continues to clean bodies in the House of Black & White but is able to prove herself. Tyrion & Jorah are captured by slavers, but Tyrion convinces them to bring them to Meereen to Daenerys. In King's Landing, Loras is placed on trial but the High Sparrow stacks the tables against them and has both him & Margaery imprisoned. We've reached the point of no return with this week's episode, Season 5, Episode 4 entitled "Sons of the Harpy." This is the episode where a lot of stupid stuff happens with little to no return, because unlike last week's episode where the story was actually pretty engaging despite the lack of payoff, here we're provided with stupid moment after stupid moment with little in-between to tie it all together. It's the real beginning to me of Benioff & Weiss' downfall with their critical reception, because this is the first of a series of episodes that are just poorly written with very little to actually excuse or justify it. Cersei enacts the plan to take over the city by restoring the Faith Militant, completely confusing poor Tommen & us the audience who are baffled by Cersei's lack of foresight as to the Sparrow's future actions. Melisandre attempts to seduce Jon with poor results, Tyrion realizes Jorah kidnapped him for nothing since they're both going to the same place, Jaime & Bronn arrive in Dorne, we're introduced to the Sand Snakes and Sansa says goodbye to Littlefinger, who conveniently tells her that Stannis is marching on Winterfell. We also get the next worst action sequence with the Sons of the Harpy's ambush of Grey Worm's troupe of Unsullied, wherein they proceed to kill everyone of them but Grey Worm, who has now inherited Ramsay Bolton's plot armor from last season. It unfortunately doesn't extend to Ser Barristan though, who meets his tragic end this episode attempting to help Grey Worm and his soldiers, a death that was so stupid even the actor who played Ser Barristan, Ian McElhinney, voiced his complaints with how he thought the character's death was poorly thought out. This week we hit the sunshine hard as we return for our one and only trip to Dorne to set up the future plots of Doran, Arianne, and the Sand Snakes; Jon sends off his last hope of gaining the wildlings while putting Bowen Marsh and his cronies in their place; an even worse storm strikes Tyrion and company, sending them down an even darker path; and finally we return to Winterfell to see cracks in the Bolton alliance, the first fall of snow, a lonely Theon, and revelations down in the crypts. Today's amazing chapters are:  - Areo Hotah I/ The Watcher - Jon VIII - Tyrion IX - Theon V/ The Turncloak   So hop aboard the Isle, firstly so we can welcome to back to our shores, but also to have a chat about the possible secret motivations of each Sand Snake in Winds, Areo Hotah's specific role and placing in this book, Jon just being an amazing person even at his own personal cost, the similarity between Tyrion and Jorah as men who projected love onto women who never loved them back, and then everything wintery about Winterfell and the subtle clues of how this is all going to end up for Team Roose, as well as more rediscoveries of true Theon   Check out History of Westeros for the live streams and main analysis: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCiYwENpLDO4gyB4dBrMYrjQ Please do consider giving us a rating or review if you can, and find more of the Isle of Faces and other projects at https://www.patreon.com/IsleOfFaces https://twitter.com/SerBuckley Thanks as always!

“ I assume you’re here to bend the knee?” Daenerys asks Jon Snow expectantly. Jon Snow replies “I am not.” Season 7 conclusion begins in suspense as Jon Snow and Ser Davos arrive at Dragonstone to meet with Daenerys Targaryen. Upon their arrival, Varys and Melisandre have a conversation about each other’s future in Westeros. “Oh I will return dear spider. One last time. I have to die in this strange country just like you.” Melisandre tells Varys knowingly. Jon and Daenerys converse for the first time and Jon tells her and Tyrion about the army of the dead. They argue and trade facts about history and loyalties with neither backing down. “So many men have tried to kill me, I don't remember all their names. I have been sold like a broodmare. I've been chained and betrayed, raped and defiled. Do you know what kept me standing through all those years in exile? Faith. Not in any gods. Not in myths and legends. In myself. In Daenerys Targaryen.” Daenerys boasts to Jon. Varys interrupts this interaction with grave news about the Greyjoys and the Sand Snakes. At King’s Landing Euron Greyjoy brings Cersei the priceless gift he promised. Euron and Jaime have a less than friendly interaction while Cersei gets her revenge for Myrcella’s death. Cersei meets with Tycho Nestoris from the Iron Bank of Bravos and they discuss the Lannister. Back at Dragonstone Tyrion and Jon talk of the White Walkers with Jon asking Tyrion if he believes him. “I trust the eyes of an honest man more than I trust what everyone knows.” Tyrion says in response. Jon asks Daenerys to allow him to mine the dragonglass. While in Winterfell, Sansa is growing into her own and making executive decisions as the Lady of Winterfell. Meera brings Bran to Winterfell and Sansa and Bran see each other for the first time since Season 1. Bran tries to describe to Sansa the role of the Three-Eyed Raven in unsettling fashion. In the Citadel, Jorah Mormont has been cured of Grayscale and is ready to return to his Queen. Meanwhile, the Unsullied take Casterly Rock only to find out they were tricked. High Garden falls to Jaime and the Lannister army, Olenna drinks the poison and gives Jaime a confession. Jaime leads his army back to King’s Landing with all of High Gardens’s gold and harvest crops. Meanwhile, Cersei gets an interesting proposition from Tycho. In Winterfell, Petyr Baelish approaches Bran where he finds that even with all of his wits, he can’t fool someone who literally knows everything. Arya arrives in Winterfell for the first time since Season 1 and reunites with her sister and brother, and Bran gives Arya an important gift. Back at Dragonstone, Jon shows Daenerys the dragonglass and some interesting hieroglyphics that provide evidence to the existence of the Night King. Daenerys learns of latest failure at Casterly Rock and is ready to burn it all down. Before she makes a decision, she asks Jon his advice to which he tells her “If you use them to melt castles and burn cities, you’re not different. You’re just more of the same.” In Winterfell, Arya and Brienne have an epic spar while at Dragonstone, and Jon and Theon see each other for the first time since Jon left for the Night’s Watch. Randyll Tarly informs Jaime and Bronn that all of the gold is safely secured in King’s Landing, but that relief is short lived as Daenerys arrives to show them who the real Queen is. Upon her return to Dragonstone, an old knight pledges himself to her once more, and Tyrion devises a plan to make Cersei believe in the threat to the North. In Winterfell, Sansa is tempted by The Northern houses. Tyrion meets with Jaime to convince him to have Cersei agree to armistice, and Ser Davos collects an old friend from Flea Bottom. In the Citadel, Gilly comes across perhaps the most important discovery in Maester Maynards’ records, while Arya in Winterfell makes a shocking discovery of her own. At The Wall, the A-Team of Westeros go beyond to bring back a wight. After dangerous encounters with creatures of the dead, Jon and company catch a wight only to be surrounded by the Night King and his army. Is this the end for them? Or will someone come to save the day? If they do survive, will Cersei have a change of heart when presented the proof or was it all for naught? The Night King adds the most dangerous ally to his army, while in Winterfell, the Stark sisters rid themselves of a dangerous ally of their own. Bran and Sam together fit the final pieces together about Jon’s true lineage, while two relatives are rocking the boat. Meanwhile unbeknownst to anyone except the men holding The Wall at Eastwatch By The Sea, Winter is officially coming to Westeros. Take a dive with the Riddikulus Crew into the conclusion of Season 7 in our 3 and ½ hour special as things begin to come full circle, while other questions are raised. Where does Jon Snow go from here? In the words of Bran Stark “He’s never been a bastard, he’s the heir to the Iron Throne.”

"They will eat you if I tell them to, they may eat you even if I don't." This is what Daenerys tells the masters as she looks to punish them for the Sons of the Harpy attack by bringing them to her chained up dragons beneath the Great Pyramid of Mereen. Back in Westeros Margaery Tyrell becomes Queen once more with her marriage to King Tommen, We are introduced to the most dangerous Sparrow in the Seven Kingdoms and Tyrion is captured by a familiar face. Meanwhile, Jaime Lannister and Bronn sail to Dorne for a search and rescue of Princess Myrcella which turns out to be easier said than done thanks to some Sand Snakes. In the North, Lord Baelish talks with Sansa about the possible outcomes of the impending battle for Winterfell between the Boltons and Stannis Baratheon. Jon Snow is making his case for allowing the wildings past The Wall so they do not become part of the army of the dead. The Sons of the Harpy ambush Grey Worm and the Unsullied, Ser Barristan finds them and they give the harpies a fight for the ages, but one of them does not make it out alive. Game of Thrones gifteth and Game of Thrones taketh away this week on The Mummer's Farce. The television show journeys further afield of adapted source material than ever before, and the result is a hodgepodge of wit and propulsion with gratuity and illogic. It's a big prison party as Cersei, Margaery, Loras, Bronn, The Sand Snakes, Jorah, and Tyrion all find themselves in chains or jail cells. Meanwhile Dany hates wheels, Jon's sword is magic, and Arya is having a blast at assassin camp.

We are still meeting new characters and arriving at new locations in the 3rd and 4th episodes of season 5 on Game of Thrones. Turns out adapting two giant books into one season of TV means you have to pile it on and press it down. This week it's the Sand Snakes as Jaime and Bronn have a goofy fight on the beach, and Cersei wades through dank alleys to locate the High Sparrow. At the Wall, Jon says "no" to any funny business and in Meereen, Barristan and Grey Worm are...aw well look at the time. To be continued, I guess!

On today’s episode, co-producer Rush Perez are talking about Game of Thrones season 7, episode 4. This is Bed Stuy Vocal Fry, a sister pod to Bri Books, focusing on the shows Rush and I can't stop talking about. Thanks for listening! Subscribe on iTunes and SoundCloud. @bsvocalfry on Twitter.   1:15 - The episode looks at 4 locations throughout kingdom, starting with King’s Landing. 1:30 – When we look at King’s Landing, we’ve Game of Thrones Cersei talking to a banker from Braavos. They’re the Sallie Mae of Game of Thrones. They always get their money. They’re the student loan debtors at Game of Thrones. 1:55 – The crown owes a lot to Iron Bank. One of the things Cersei gets to is that she’s holding on tooth and nail to the power she does possess. When she’s talking in King’s Landing to Iron Bank, she says the debt will be paid within a fortnight. She intends to pay by robbing the Tyrell's, the house she destroyed. It seems like the deal is sealed. 2:45 what’s up in Winterfell? Some new kids on the block in the ‘fell, aka that’s where they live. 3:00 – There’s constant reunions in Winterfell. Last episode we saw bran come back to Winterfell after not being there since season 2, when Theon took over. 3:30 – Bran last episode had a reunion with Sansa. Now it’s Arya’s turn! The scene starts with Arya on the horse, overlooking the home she hasn’t been to in six seasons. The last time she was there her entire family was still alive. Now her mom, dad, oldest brother, younger brother all dead. 4:00 – Arya reconnects with Sansa then Bran. It felt truly like the circle is complete they’re all back together, and so different. The scene of Arya wheeling bran as Sansa walks nearby, you realize how much life has happened to these kids. As much has changed in their short lives in the show. You get the sense things at Winterfell are closer to being better, not fixed. But everyone’s favorite creepy uncle LIttlefinger is lurking! 4:55 – Did you catch Bran saying “Chaos is a ladder?” it’s like, Littelfinger is SHOOK. When he realizes that Brans out of nowhere reciting this. 5:15 Littelfinger strikes me as a character who doesn’t’ buy into magic, White Walkers. He’s into palace intrigue, what he can manipulate. I think it’s the first time LIttlefinger realizes he’s up against something out of his control that he can’t outsmart. 5:45 – Bran was creeping out everyone. I think it’s because he’s become the 3-eyed-raven, he’s not Bran anymore. He’s something else, but still has bran’s memories. 6:00 – he’s the collective memory of the universe. He says that to Myra, in what may be the most cold-blooded scene in the series. I’m like, UGH! I was so happy the season bran was beyond the wall. Because I was like good, you’re a sour boy with a bad attitude. Like, we get it, but still! UGH! You could’ve been like, thank you…no one wanted to wheel and carry you around. It just shows you, he’s the 3-eyed-raven. I thought that he’d be like an apprentice. But now he IS the memory. 7:12 – it was accelerated because the original 3-eyed was killed. Whose fault? Bran’s! 7:25 – Cersei’s in King’s landing, the Winterfell kids have returned and they’re worse for the wear. Now in Dragonstone 7:30 – you have Khaleesi and Jon Snow. Daenerys is up against a wall.     7:55 it’s because she started the season with a strong hand. She had the Greyjoy siblings with their navy. He had the Sand Snakes. She had the Tyrells/ Highgarden, the richest house in the kingdom. She had all that, and in the course of three episodes she lost all her allies. She still has dragons and an army, but no longer any Westerosi allies. 8:40 the closes she has to an ally is Jon, who is only there to dig and go. He’s not trying to be anyone’s king of anyone’s kingdoms. He’s’ like, these White Walkers are in route, we should make haste. 9:00 Daenerys discovers a mine of dragon glass under Dragonstone. That scene felt cop-out-y, like “a world of everything we need.” Yeah, you’d think this is perfect, but what’s gonna go wrong? Everything as to this point. 9:30 it’s too convenient. He spent 2 episodes trying to convince Daenerys, then he shows her pictures in the cave and she’s like I believe you. Seemed too quick for a turnaround. But the plot has to move forward. Clock is ticking. 10:00 Daenerys decides Jon can start mining and she says she’ll fight for the north, only if Jon bends the knee. 10:25 – After Dany and Jon have discovery in cave and romantic tense sexual tension…it’s creepy…but Targaryen’s wed brother and sisters for centuries…. 10:50 – after the cave discovery, Daenerys finds out from Tyrion that their plan to take Casterly Rock has failed, and the unsullied fleet has been burned by Euron Greyjoy. She finds out Yara has been taken captive, and she’s like screw y’all I Game of Thrones these dragons. I’ll go ride on them and figure things out. But her council try and talk her out of attacking king’s landing by appealing to her better nature, saying if you do this you’re just like your father who did the same. 11:45 – we forgot, there’s a return of a character—Theon and what remains of the Greyjoy fleet. 12:05 – Theon comes up on the beach, looking for Daenerys’ help to find his sister. But she’s’ gone, and he has an awkward reunion with Jon snow, which is awkward AF because Theon took Winterfell. 12:30 – Theon asks Jon where Daenerys is. Where is she? 12:45 – we circle back on the rose road, and It’s Jamie, Bron and the Tarley's, who were bannermen. Having come back from their victory in Highgarden. 13:00 – the Tyrrells were the richest family in the kingdom, and had the most fertile lands. They were the family that supplied the army and kingdom. 13:30 – an important point—Randall Tarly comes up to Jaime, says we Game of Thrones gold through city gates. What’s on the road is the food. That’s important to know because they hear something. 14:00 I think the noise is the sound of a thousand butterflies. AKA a Dothrak horde that they’re using as a plot device. They come out of NOWEHRE at the drop of a hat. 14:22 – how far is Highgarden from Dragonstone? Have they been riding horses for 2 weeks and no one knew?? Those are a ton of Dothrak. A ton of logistic questions about this show and episode. 15:06 – as you see the Dothrak horde—which is scary—you see the Lannister army is shook. And then…we hear a screech. And see two gigantic black wings come out. 15:30 – the look on Jamie’s face is the look you have when you look at your bank account and it’s low, and you see you haven’t paid your student loan payment this month. It’s like, this is gonna get much worse. Jamie looks like debt. 15:55 – hell breaks loose! There are flame everywhere! 16:00 – flames everywhere. On all surfaces—as soon as those fires come out of the dragon’s mouth, it lays waste to all the booty Cersei was literally banking on. They make a BBQ. This is a cookout now. 16:30 – a disturbing and interesting effect was, you saw people turn into ash. And it would like, be swept away into dust. 16:45 – on epis like this of Game of Thrones, I want to talk to prop masters! The horse trainer union! The guys doing pyrotechnics in the sky, it’s just so…you have to realize they’re creating a world! It’s giving me "Battle of the Bastards" vibes. 17:45 – my dragon sound effects! Jamie was shook. 17:53 –Bron runs to a caravan, and he gets the crossbow that Quiberon shows Cersei that he thinks could kill a dragon. He shoots and Daenerys dodges. 18:25 – Bron’s trying to hit Daenerys with crossbow. She realizes it, and goes straight towards Bron. She’s not zigging or zagging. 18:45 – she’s on her Rickon Stark game. Maybe they’re all related! When arrows come their way, they run towards them! 19:00 – he goes down but not all the way down. For a second, I’m like is this how she’s gonna die?? She gets off the dragon, tries to get arrow out of his shoulder, and then we see Jamie. And he sees the dragon down, and he sees Daenerys. all the while, Tyrion is on the sidelines watching it. Jamie is running towards Daenerys. Dany turns around, the dragon turns around and breathes a jet of fire. Bron grabs Jamie, pulls him into the river, and episode ends with Jamie drowning in the water as the screen goes to black. 20:20 – It’s insane. It was the craziest most intense episode I’ve watched in a long time. 20:30 – we haven’t seen a battle in a long time. We’ve seen a few sword-to-sword clashes, but otherwise lots of mutilations and surprise killings. But you’re seeing, this is what war looks like. As Tyrion surveys, he zeroes in on a horse on fire. It shows you war. We haven’t seen a badass war in so long. This one was so good! It gave us more dragon! 21:40 – we haven’t seen this much dragon action ever probably. 21:50 – we’ve seen it in Mereen when she was rescued and the episode where she takes out Slaver’s Bay and unleashes the dragons. But nothing like this. This was like, it was only one. 22:15 – wild predictions for episode 5? It’ll be near the end of first half of last season. 22:40 – I think that you’re gonna see Daenerys getting more assertive with Tyrion and with Varys, because they were the two telling her to be more cautious and to play it their way. She’s seeing none of Tyrion’s plans worked. It was kind of on him. The only play she did on her own worked pretty well and took out most of the Lannister army what does Cersei have? Gold but no food. What happens with Theon? 23:30 – I have an idea, Theon gets to king’s landing, either kills Euron or sacrifices himself for Yara. I think he’s dead before end of the season. 23:50 – as you were talking, I was thinking he hasn’t had his “ultimate sacrifice” redemption yet. 24:00 – I think what’s coming is as showdown of the Lannister kids. Once Cersei finds out Tyrion is why Jamie’s dead captured or injured…. whoa. when she finds out the role that he’s had in whatever happens to Jamie, Cersei’s gonna come after Tyrion. 24:55 – and Jamie just found out it wasn’t Tyrion that killed Joffrey, it was Oleanna. 25:10 – FMK segment! Rush’s picks: Yara (MARRY), Lady Oleanna (FUCK), Myranda (KILL). Brionna’s picks: Ned Stark (FUCK), Jamie (MARRY), The Mountain (pre-zombification (KILL) Thanks for listening! The first episode of season six of HBO’s “Game of Thrones”, entitled “The Red Woman”, seems to be a real controversy with the fans.  Disappearing dogs, dead-end Dorne, and shifty Sand Snakes, among other things, caused the flipping of thousands of tables across the globe.  What did we think?  Brace yourself, contrarian opinion is coming; we’re mostly okay with how things went down.  Who has time to worry about dogs when Brienne is pledging half of Ned Starks sword to his daughter Sansa’s service?  Or Ghost is howling at Castle Black?  Or while we’re witnessing the craziest disrobing scene in GoT history?  This is a super-sized episode one extravaganza, loaded with observations about the human condition, life, death, love, and, uh, dragon poop.  And you know our mailbag was full to bursting, so find out what your fellow fans have to say. Of course, we’re not finished this week, not by a long shot.  Friday will see the release of our SpoiLore podcast, where we put on our tinfoil hats and try to figure out what the future holds for Snow, Melisandre, Dorne, Daenerys, and her dragons based on book lore. The agents discuss the controversial last scene, and debate the question, 'Is Sansa playing the long, long game, or is she another victim of bad writing?" This week's episode of Game of Thrones was season 5's most action-packed installment yet, thanks to the rise of the Faith Militant and the growing threat of the Sons of the Harpy. Joining us in our in-depth discussion of the events that took place is We Got This Covered writer Sam Woolf, who has some of his own interesting theories and reactions to this week's shocking cliffhanger. In case you missed it, “Sons of the Harpy” ramped up the events in King's Landing when Cersei decided to arm the Faith Militant and name the High Sparrow the High Septon of the realm. She taunted Margery by having the Sparrows arrest Loras Tyrell for crimes against the gods and left the newly crowned King Tommen to pick up the pieces. While all hell broke loose in the capital, Jamie and Bronn landed in Dorne and continued their suicide rescue mission for Princess Myrcella. The Dornish storyline also brought us our first look at Oberyn's bastards, known as the Sand Snakes, and we try to decide if they live up to his legend. In northern Westeros, Jon Snow survived Melissandre's first seduction attempt while Stannis finally revealed the softer side of his hardened heart. He continues to be one of the most controversial characters on the show and we weigh in on the merit of his methods, intentions and recently discovered love for his daughter. Finally, we round out this week's exciting discussion by talking about the climactic skirmish between Greyworm, Barristan Selmy and a band of harpies that had us clamoring for more. Will Barristan pull out of the battle in one piece, or have we seen the last of the greatest living night in Westeros? Tune into the latest episode of The Cast Beyond The Wall to find out!   Subscribe on iTunes Follow us on Facebook Watch us on Youtube Don't miss all of the latest Game of Thrones updates at We Got This Covered

Welcome back to IGN's Game of Thrones show! This week, Eric Goldman and Roth Cornet give their initial impressions of episode 4, "Sons of the Harpy", of Season 5 of the HBO series. From there, we move into a deeper discussion of some of the particulars of the episode, the Sparrows - the newly empowered faith militant - and Cersei's big move against Margaery, Tommen learning some of the pitfalls of leadership (as Dany continues to discover), Jamie and Bronn and the evolving storyline in Dorne - including our first real look at the Sand Snakes, and what Melisandre is up to over at the Wall.
