Elon Musk has deleted some of his tweets about President Trump and showed support for his leadership as Los Angeles burns to the ground under Governor Gavin Newsom and Mayor Karen Bass. It all started when Assemblyman Jose Luis Solache Jr. saw ICE agents going into a federal ICE facility in Los Angeles. As a panicked Jose started live streaming the agents, a crowd grew outside the facility until the ICE agents found themselves under attack. With encouragement from La Mayor Karen Bass, this mob grew angry and violent until absolute chaos erupted. As cars are set on fire and rocks are hurled at ICE agents and L.A. sheriff's, President Trump had finally seen enough. President Trump mobilized and federalized the California National Guard, usurping Gavin Newsom's authority. I break down the entire timeline in today's show, including Gavin Newsom, once again, proving he is a feckless leader. Penny Nance then joins me to discuss protecting girls and women in sports. This is on the heels of Simone Biles attacking and body shaming Riley Gaines for calling out a softball team whose star player is a biological boy. Penny unpacks this recent spat and the broader issue as a whole. The big, beautiful bill will end funding for trans surgeries for minors, which up until now has been funded by Medicaid. Penny is the CEO & President of Concerned Women for America and at the forefront of protecting girls, women and life in the womb and today she is here to discuss it all. The Rich Zeoli Show- Full Episode (10/01/2024): 3:05pm- On Tuesday, Iran launched at least two waves of ballistic missiles at Israel—amounting to roughly 200 missiles in total. Initial reports indicate that the missiles were intercepted by Israeli defense systems—with one casualty, a Palestinian man who was killed by shrapnel. In a statement, Israel Defense Forces (IDF) noted that “10 million civilians” were ultimately targeted by the “Iranian projectiles.” 3:10pm- War in the Middle East Escalates. Patrick Kingsley, Aaron Boxerman, Eric Schmitt, Ronen Bergman, and Farnaz Fassihi of The New York Times write: “Defense Secretary Lloyd J. Austin III spoke by phone with Defense Minister Yoav Gallant of Israel on Tuesday, the Pentagon said in a statement, adding that Austin ‘made it clear that the United States is well postured to defend U.S. personnel, allies and partners in the face of threats from Iran and Iran-backed terrorist organizations.' The Pentagon announced on Monday that it was sending ‘several thousand' more U.S. troops to the region, adding to its force of some 40,000 already in the area.” You can read more here: https://www.nytimes.com/live/2024/10/01/world/israel-lebanon-hezbollah/here-are-the-latest-developments?smid=url-share 3:20pm- Dockworkers Launch Massive Strike. Paul Berger of The Wall Street Journal writes: “Dockworkers at dozens of U.S. ports are digging in for a massive pay increase, seeking to flex their power in a strike that aims to strangle the flow of trade across much of the country…About 60% of containerized trade moves through the East Coast and Gulf Coast ports where ILA dockworkers last year unloaded about $588 billion of imports, according to S&P Global Market Intelligence…J.P. Morgan equity analysts estimate a ports strike would cost the U.S. economy between $3.8 billion and $4.5 billion a day, some of which would be recovered once normal operations resume.” You can read the full article here: https://www.wsj.com/articles/dockworkers-launch-strike-at-ports-from-maine-to-texas-dbbeec39?mod=hp_lead_pos8 3:30pm- Kash Patel— Former Chief of Staff to the Secretary of Defense & Author of “Government Gangsters: The Deep State, the Truth, and the Battle for Our Democracy”—joins The Rich Zeoli Show to discuss Iran's ballistic missile attack on Israel. Can we expect continued military escalation in the Middle East? Patel determines: “We are in a world war.” He continues: “Our adversaries want Donald Trump to be defeated”—noting that the Biden-Harris regime did nothing after determining that Iran interfered in the 2024 election via a hacking of the Trump campaign. 4:05pm- Dockworkers Launch Massive Strike. Paul Berger of The Wall Street Journal writes: White House officials believe the impact on consumers will be limited for now, and they have so far discounted forcing dockworkers back to work…But executives say a walkout lasting a week or longer would push up shipping costs and might trigger product shortages… A strike lasting even one week would tie up ships for much longer periods, which could exacerbate shipping delays, eat up capacity and drive up freight rates, some industry analysts warn.” You can read the full article here: https://www.wsj.com/articles/dockworkers-launch-strike-at-ports-from-maine-to-texas-dbbeec39?mod=hp_lead_pos8 4:20pm- On Tuesday, Donald Trump spoke during a campaign event in Wisconsin—explaining that if he were president, “today's attack on Israel never would have happened.” He continued: “the threat of war is raging everywhere and the two incompetent people running our country…are leading us to the brink of World War III.” 4:30pm- Macy Petty—NCAA college volleyball player and a leader of Young Women for America, the collegiate program of Concerned Women for America—joins The Rich Zeoli Show to discuss her recent editorial for Fox News, “As a female athlete, I do not consent to playing alongside men in collegiate sports.” You can read Petty's editorial here: ...

The Rich Zeoli Show- Hour 3: 5:00pm- Penny Nance—CEO of Concerned Women for America—joins The Rich Zeoli Show. “She just wrapped up a bus tour of the swing states, traveling 10,000 miles, talking to women about the issues they care about and spoiler alert - it's night and day from Kamala's platform. Women in Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Georgia – they're all saying the same things: 1) The economy, the economy, the economy. From the nail technician to the white collar office-job working mom, they're all getting killed by the Biden-Harris economy and inflation. 2) Their rights as mothers are being eroded by the government. They're appalled by public schools withholding information from parents, whether it's a child who is transitioning or is being overwhelmed with the trans-agenda, or a male peer who is using their daughter's locker room or bathroom, to straight up What are they teaching these kids?? 3) They're sick of the left and the media saying they care only about abortion. It seems like the government and the left want to dangle the abortion issue in front of women as they simultaneously erode their rights on every other front and say that women and men are not different and distinct.” To learn more about Concerned Women for America, visit: https://concernedwomen.org 5:35pm- Miranda Devine—Journalist for The New York Post—joins The Rich Zeoli Show to discuss her new book, “The Big Guy: How a President and His Son Sold Out America.” You can learn more about the book here: https://a.co/d/6JFqEP1

Kansas City Chiefs kicker, Harrison Butker, has caused a media storm after his commencement speech at Benedictine College in Kansas, as he took a jab at President Biden, condemned abortion, called pride month one of the “deadly sins” and implored men to be “unapologetic” in their masculinity. But, his message to women is what is getting him the most backlash. Religions of the World: Questions, Challenges, and New Directions (Equinox Publishing, 2024) is a world religions textbook that provides a critical introduction to the social, political, and cultural interests that inform how people describe and identify with religion. One of its goals is to provide a sense of methodological transparency that few, if any, other textbooks today offer. The book opens with an Introduction that discusses contemporary methodological concerns in the study of religion, with special focus on the World Religions Paradigm. This is followed by ten (10) chapters, six (6) of which discuss a distinct religion and four (4) of which discuss regional traditions. This organization is intentional and self-conscious, as the authors discuss how these scholarly categories (distinct tradition vs. regional tradition) shape the ways that both insiders and outsiders discuss, practice, and engage religion in their daily lives. Leslie Dorrough Smith is Professor of Religious Studies at Avila University and a member of the Women's and Gender Studies faculty. She is the author of Righteous Rhetoric: Sex, Speech, and the Politics of Concerned Women for America (2014) and Compromising Positions Sex Scandals, Politics, and American Christianity (2019). Steven W. Ramey is Chair and Professor of Religious Studies at the University of Alabama, where he also directs the Asian Studies Program. He is the author of Hindu Sufi or Sikh: Contested Practices and Identifications of Sindhi Hindus in India and Beyond (2008) and has edited many volumes, including most recently Hinduism in 5 Minutes (2022).
