Here is a summary: A Bollywood State of Mind is a personal, intellectual and emotional journey which crosses five continents and 50 years of modern Indian history and cinema and explores why Bollywood means so much to so many across the globe. Sunny describes how this exceptional cinema retains its hold on the national imagination, how Bollywood has enhanced India's global standing in the 21st century, and how its characteristics endure despite the social and political changes.Ranging over history, aesthetic theory and politics, A Bollywood State of Mind explores encounters with Bollywood in the market places of Dakar and Marrakesh, in the nightclubs of New York, Barcelona and Mexico City, and in the ruins of Egypt's Valley of the Kings, Petra and beyond. It shows how the pioneers and heroes of Bollywood cut across national, linguistic and cultural lines not only in India but in far reaches of Somalia, Peru, Malaysia and Russia. We have Sunny Singh, also known as hate5six, for this one. Most hardcore fans know him for popping up at shows across the country with a camera in hand but he has also made a huge impact on the community as a whole. Ever since Sunny decided to leave his full-time job, he has made a pact with himself to push even harder with the new year. This year's goals currently sits at 1,000 recorded sets, in which Sunny was way ahead of schedule when this episode was recorded. What makes hate5six so honorable is that he's willing to give new bands a shot. Someone can send a simple message over social media and Sunny will be in the audience that night. There are countless bands that will contribute quick success to a video that the hate5six name releases of their set. It's a one man project but Sunny releases at the speed of a company of 100+ employees. Since the beginning the goal has been to help bands find an audience. The channel has always been accessible to newer and younger bands. Hard work always seems to pay off when someone has a vision and is willing to put in the time. That is what happened to Sunny when he was asked to jump on the most recent Rage Against the Machine tour for select dates. Sunny had the opportunity to continue to build his name while watching one of his favorite childhood bands return to the stage. Sunny is someone who speaks up about topics that matter dearly to him. He wants to use his platform to educate his followers with the research he conducts. That mindset falls back to his early days with Rage Against the Machine. They opened the door for speaking up for yourself and creating clarity for a large population. This is a project that demands endless hours. Sunny is the definition of "perfectionist." Some would believe that he is filming at a faster rate than most people can consume, but Sunny is beating the odds. His page is closely watched on a daily basis. Sunny is careful with his edits, but the end result is rewarding. These videos are timestamping music history.
Join us on this enlightening episode as we welcome the inspiring Sunny Singh, an articulate evangelist of the importance of nurturing the “whole” you. After a remarkable — and remarkably lucrative — career in healthcare technology, Sunny realized that it was time to pay attention to the parts of his life he'd been neglecting, and rededicated himself to his practices of yoga, meditation, nourishing nutrition, and establishing strong connections to nature and the human community. But Sunny's mission extends well beyond his own personal journey. Indeed, the once hard-driving executive has shifted his focus to giving back to the world with an intention and scale that boggle the mind. For starters, he's founded a company called Roundglass that supports people in their journey toward what he calls Wholistic Wellbeing. Roundglass is quite the effort, with resources centered around meditation and mindfulness, food & cooking, grieving and death, learning and wisdom, and music. In other words, everything that matters. He's also spearheading an effort to plant a billion trees in the Indian state of Punjab. And that's only the start of it. Sunny Singh's actions serve as proof of the value of his own ideas. Listen in and discover the transformative potential of an integrative and wholistic approach to wellbeing.

Cung Le joins the show in the wake of multiple UFC athletes calling foul in regards to how they have been treated and compensated by the company. Cung has long been an outspoken voice for change in the world of MMA and is part of a class-action lawsuit against the UFC as well as a member of the MMA Fighters Association. The former Sanshou and Strikeforce champion parted ways with the UFC in 2014 following a myriad of soured business dealings with the company and Le quickly made his complaints public. Being one of the original dissenting voices in the MMA world, Cung Le, as with many others, believes that the only way for MMA athletes to be properly compensated is through the Ali Act. Cung gives us his perspective on the kind of change the sport needs for the betterment of all the athletes while ensuring a positive future for the next generation. We’ll also hear the inside scoop on what led to Cung Le’s UFC departure and just how manipulative he believes the worlds most dominant MMA promotion is with its athletes. Sunny Singh is a three-time taekwondo champion turned international action movie star. He’s recently become a brand ambassador for the all-new EKIC promotion and has some great insight for athletes looking to make a career in film after fighting. Sunny gives us a rundown of his career accomplishments and discusses how he plans to insert his knowledge within in the EKIC brand and help the company build future stars of their own, while also tapping into one of MMA’s under utilized markets- India. All that and much more! Be sure to subscribe and share!
