Alla scoperta dei "Talenti" artistici ma anche quelli più comuni, come scoprirli, farli crescere e farne tesoro, in favore di noi stessi e mettendoli a disposizione degli altri.
It's another chapter in The Dialogue Series - A chill ‘n chat with authors, fellow podcasters, musicians, and more. Author Greg Prato is back on the podcast. He's the author of several books, and has written for Songfacts, Consequence of Sound, Guitar World, Vintage Guitar, and Louder.Greg has been a great supporter of the Booked On Rock podcast, crediting the show in many articles he's written for Ultimate Guitar so, as a thank you to Greg, I asked him to come on and talk about the books he released in 2023. We also talk about Queen, Van Halen, Led Zeppelin, KISS, Lemmy from Motörhead, and Rush. Plus, here's a question for you. If you had to pick 10 albums you just could not live without, what would they be? Go to BookedOnRock.com or find links to the Booked On Rock Facebook, Instagram, and X pages to share your top ten list. You can also send your list by email to thebookedonrockpodcast@gmail.com. Greg and I come up with our top 10 list in this episode!Episode Playlist Follow Greg Prato:FacebookInstagramXGreg Prato Linkedin Page---------- BookedOnRock.com The Booked On Rock YouTube Channel Follow The Booked On Rock with Eric Senich:FACEBOOKINSTAGRAMTIKTOKX Find Your Nearest Independent Bookstore Contact The Booked On Rock Podcast: thebookedonrockpodcast@gmail.com The Booked On Rock Music: “Whoosh” by Crowander / “Last Train North” & “No Mercy” by TrackTribe

*Starting in 1966, LLOYD JOHNSON not only sold clothes to a multitude of street smart, cool kids, but contributed to the very look of rock 'n' roll fashion. In the decades since, he has helped style Keith Richards, Bob Dylan, Jack Nicholson, David Bailey, The Clash, Iggy Pop, Tom Waits, Barry Adamson, Johnny Marr, Nick Cave,The Stray Cats and The Pretenders. *On top of that, his designs have appeared on many record sleeves including albums by Rod Stewart and Madness, in videos like George Michael's" Faith”, in the films Quadrophenia and Jim Jarmusch's Down by Law and Mystery Train, and as stage costumes for David Bowie. *The Face said he is one of the crucial figures in the development of British style. He just says: 'I created what I saw as stage-wear for the street. *Lloyd came into the Bureau to share some of his stories. And we hear about growing up in Hastings, Kensington Market, the Kings Road, Mods vs Rockers, Fred Astaire, Freddy Mercury, model aeroplanes and much, more from a life lived in clothes for over 50 years. *Thanks to Roger Burton for the intro *Image: Lloyd outside Johnson The Modern Outfitters 1975 (sourced by Paul Gorman for the show he curated at Chelsea Space in 2012 https://www.chelseaspace.org/archive/johnson-pr.html) *Join us to get our newsletter and hear more tales from the underground, the counterculture and the upside down. www.bureauoflostculture.com #RodStewart #Madness #GeorgeMichael #Quadrophenia #JimJarmusch #DavidBowie #KeithRichards #BobDylan #JackNicholson #DavidBailey #TheClash #IggyPop #TomWaits #JohnnyMarr #NickCave #TheStrayCats #barryadamson #ThePretenders #lloydjohnson #larocka

There’s a lot on this show. Just give it a listen!
The usual eclectic conversation with Danny and music writer Timothy Finn about concerts recent and future and other detours. The Goo Goo Dolls, Train, Bob Walkenhorst, 3rd Eye Blind, Chrissie Hynde, Earth Wind and Fire, and more get into the mix!!!!
You're here because of the title aren't you? Welcome. You will need to buckle up for this one. Our pace at times is rather frenetic and but man, we managed to find humour in a lot of stuff. Topics ranged from music to concerts to horses and everything else in-between. And laughter naturally ensued. We did ask you to buckle up right?
It’s the “I Did It For Science” episode—feat. writer/storyteller/artistic director of The Story Collider Erin Barker tawkin‘ about being a child subversive in Appalachia, taking her passions for writing and being nosy to NYC, and how the girl who always failed science became a woman known for producing a show about it. With tunes from #ThePretenders, #TheBarenakedLadies, #CountingCrows and #Oasis, and shoutouts to #BenLillie, #NisseGreenberg, #ElnaBaker, #MargotLeitman, #EugeneAshtonGonzalez, and a whole buncha others you'll just have to tune in for! #artistsIknow #womenartists #NYCartists #livingartists #supportlivingartists
