These days, large-scale high-production music festivals take over major cities and regularly attract crowds of every genre — including the current version of Lollapalooza that draws a casual 400,000 people to its resident Chicago stomping grounds. But kick it back a few decades and this kind of maximalist mega-show wasn't quite the norm it is now, especially for musical tastes outside of the mainstream. In their second collaborative book, Lollapalooza: The Uncensored Story of Alternative Rock's Wildest Festival, music journalists Richard Bienstock and Tom Beaujour flash back to when the Lollapalooza we know now was a new tour concept bringing 1990s alternative artists and ideas center stage. Lollapalooza first transports readers back to the festival's origins – a 20+ city summer sprawl highlighting alternative music, art, and counterculture, conceived by Perry Farrell as a farewell tour for his band Jane's Addiction. From 1991-1997, this breakthrough tour shifted the scope of live music experiences and helped forge a new path for the decade's subcultures to reach the masses and the media. Bienstock and Beaujour have compiled hundreds of new interviews to dig into the dirt of how the historic festival came into being at every level – from headlining artists and record label execs to tour organizers and promoters to freakshow performers, stage crews, and roadies. Lollapalooza is packed with gritty details of an era of shows that defied genres and drew crowds across style lines. Music, art, and politics drawing from alt-rock, goth, industrial, metal, punk, hip-hop, EDM, and avant-garde explorations – all coming together under one big tent. Featuring original interviews with iconic artists like Green Day, Patti Smith, Rage Against the Machine, Ice-T, Pearl Jam, Sonic Youth, Soundgarden, Nine Inch Nails, Jane's Addiction, Tool, Smashing Pumpkins, Alice in Chains, Metallica, and many more, this collection amplifies voices that helped shape generations of contemporary thinkers, creative activists, and live music audiences. Journeying through 90s nostalgia, uncensored first-hand accounts, and the long-term reverberations of a groundbreaking tour, Bienstock and Beaujour document a high-impact chapter of modern American music. A VIP pass to the action onstage and backstage, on the road and behind the scenes – Lollapalooza details the cultural shift of the alternative rock revolution and the echoes still heard through concert crowds today. Richard Bienstock is a journalist, musician, and author whose work has been featured in the New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Rolling Stone, Billboard, and Spin. He is the executive editor of Guitar Aficionado magazine and former senior editor of Guitar World and has authored and co-authored books including Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck and Slash: An Intimate Portrait. Tom Beaujour is a journalist, music producer, and engineer who has been featured in television shows like Orange is the New Black, A Handmaid's Tale, and Criminal Minds. He is a co-founder and former editor-in-chief of Revolver and has contributed to Rolling Stone, the New York Times, Blender, and Billboard. He is the co-author of Nöthin' But a Good Time: The Uncensored History of the '80s Hard Rock Explosion, alongside Richard Bienstock. Mike Squires is a Seattle-based touring musician and the host of Couch Riffs Podcast since 2019. His touring and recording credits include Duff McKagan, Peter Hook, Ugly Kid Joe, Harvey Danger, and The Long Winters. Festival season is just around the corner, and without Lollapalooza, many fan-favorite events wouldn't exist. Debuting in 1991, the four-day extravaganza originally served as the farewell tour for Perry Farrell of Jane's Addiction. Over thirty years later, music-loving youngsters make the pilgrimage to Chicago's Grant Park to bask in the glory of their favorite acts. Former senior editor of Guitar World magazine, executive editor of Guitar Aficionado magazine, and co-author of Lollapalooza: The Uncensored Story of Alternative Rock's Wildest Festival, Richard Bienstock joins Kennedy to discuss the new book and reminisce about the festival's early years and '90s alternative rock. STEVE LUKATHER DENIES RUMORS OF PLAYING GUITAR ON NEW VAN HALEN ALBUM TOTO's Steve Lukather has dismissed recent reports suggesting he will play guitar on a new VAN HALEN album. Earlier this week, Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf reported that Alex Van Halen was working on a collection of previously unreleased VAN HALEN recordings, with Lukather assisting in completing them. In a paywalled Guitar World article, Alex was quoted as saying: “Ed and Steve Lukather were very good friends and often worked together. There's no one better suited to help me through this process.” Lukather, seemingly surprised by the comment, responded in the same article: “Did Alex say that? Oh, in that case, the news is true. Ed, Alex, and I were very close for years. It's true that we worked on this together.” However, on Saturday (March 15), Lukather took to Instagram to clarify his involvement, writing: “For the record: Ever since Alex Van Halen mentioned we were going to work together, there's been a huge misunderstanding. I will NEVER play a single note on a VAN HALEN song—ever! Al asked me to help sort through a ton of unfinished recordings of him and Ed writing and recording together—music that never saw the light of day. That's all I know at this point. The idea that I would play guitar on this is ridiculous. I have too much love and respect for Ed and his music. Plus, I don't play anything like him. My role is more of a co-producer, if anything. I'm honored Al would ask me. Let's see…” Alex has previously stated there's enough material in the VAN HALEN vault for “three or four albums.” On Chris Jericho's Talk Is Jericho podcast, he shared: “I've talked about it loosely, and I'm a bit superstitious, but I can say this: We're going through the vault, digging into the ideas Ed left behind. There's some great stuff in there. When you're in the thick of it, sometimes you miss the real gems. It's only when you revisit them later that you realize, ‘Wow, I forgot about this. This kicks ass.' But it takes time. I want to do it right.” LUKATHER & VAN HALEN'S HISTORY Eddie Van Halen and Steve Lukather had a long history of collaboration. Lukather played the main riff on Michael Jackson's Beat It, while Eddie provided the iconic solo. Eddie also played bass on Lukather's debut solo album and made a guest appearance on Steve's 2003 Christmas album, Santamental. Following Eddie's passing in 2020, Lukather reflected on their friendship in an interview with Metal Master Kingdom: “It's still hard for me—the wound is deep. I was honored to be Ed's real friend, not just a guitar buddy. Our friendship lasted over 40 years. I love all the guys in VAN HALEN. I'm Switzerland when it comes to their relationships. I was just on Sammy's [Hagar] show, and he was great to me. Mike [Anthony] is always kind. But I've always stayed especially close with Al. Losing Ed left a hole in my heart that won't go away. We didn't just talk about guitars—we talked about our kids, our lives. Toward the end, we mostly just bragged about our sons. That's what mattered.” While Lukather's role in the VAN HALEN project remains undefined, one thing is clear—his deep respect for Eddie ensures the music's legacy will be handled with care. The Supergroup Eddie Van Halen Almost Created When David Lee Roth left Van Halen in 1985, the band's future was completely up in the air. Eddie Van Halen and his bandmates reached out to several singers to fill the role, but none accepted. These rejections led Eddie to explore new possibilities to keep his music career alive—one of which could have changed rock history forever. However, before this ambitious plan could materialize, Van Halen found their next frontman, Sammy Hagar. Before discovering Hagar, Eddie was uncertain about where his career was headed. With no clear path forward, he envisioned forming an '80s supergroup that could have been groundbreaking. In a 1996 interview with Guitar World, Eddie revealed details about this bold idea, explaining that he had spoken to some of rock's biggest names about joining forces. “My plan at the time—and I wouldn't necessarily have called it a solo record because Mike [Anthony] and Al [Alex Van Halen] would have played on it—was to get Mike Rutherford [Genesis], Pete Townshend, Phil Collins, and Joe Cocker, all of whom I had talked to,” Eddie said. He even had a specific vision for the project, including an early version of Right Now, which later became a hit for Van Halen. “I had written ‘Right Now' back then, and I wanted Joe Cocker to sing on it. It would have been f— great. That's what I wanted to do—write a record where I did all the music and had a different singer on each song,” he added. Despite the incredible potential, the project never got off the ground. Eddie admitted that logistical challenges—such as conflicting schedules, contractual obligations, and record label interference—made it nearly impossible. “Logistically, it would have been a nightmare—people on tour, contractual agreements, companies pissing and moaning—and we'd probably only be finishing it now,” he reflected. “It would have been fun.” Though Van Halen ultimately thrived with Sammy Hagar, it's fascinating to think about what could have been if Eddie's supergroup had become a reality. While we're grateful for the music Van Halen created with Hagar, this glimpse into Eddie's musical vision leaves us wondering about the alternate history that never happened. Why did Eddie Van Halen leave Peavey? In this episode, we dive into the real story behind Eddie's departure from Peavey in 2004, taking the iconic 5150 amp and Wolfgang guitar with him to launch EVH with Fender. According to a new Guitar World interview with Peavey CEO Courtland Gray, Joe Satriani's endorsement deal may have played a key role in Eddie's decision to walk away. Was Eddie upset that Peavey signed another guitar legend? Did the launch of the JSX amp cause friction? We'll break down the timeline, the behind-the-scenes tensions, and how this split shaped the future of EVH gear.

Mike Luckovich - Atlanta Journal Constitution On this week's agenda — Donald Trump's strategy of avoiding prison by returning to the White House works - as special counsel Jack Smith drops the federal charges, and the sentencing for his 34-count New York conviction gets delayed. Trump refuses to allow FBI vetting of his top appointments, the first time that's happened since Watergate. Trump's latest potential lawsuit: claims from Gibson Guitars that his latest grift, selling guitars, violates their trademarks for the iconic Les Paul guitar … which means here's your first-ever link to Guitar World. Trump's proposed tariffs pose a huge threat to Michigan's economy on three fronts: automobile production that links the U.S. with both Canada and Mexico; disrupting trade with our neighbors to the north; and threatening agricultural exports to China Whooping cough cases are surging nationally and in Michigan, the inevitable result of the anti-vaccine movement Democrats gear up for their last month of control in the Legislature. We are joined by Senate Majority Leader Winnie Brinks about the agenda. Winnie Brinks is the first woman to serve as Senate Majority Leader, as well as being the first woman to represent Grand Rapids in the Michigan Senate since Eva McCall Hamilton was elected in 1920. She cares deeply about clean drinking water in Michigan and has worked tirelessly on efforts to reduce the prevalence of toxic PFAS chemicals in it. In addition to accessible, clean water, her policy passions include improving equity in maternal health care, reproductive rights, reducing prescription drug costs, and helping uplift local communities and organizations. Before being elected to the state House, where she served three terms, Brinks was a caseworker at The Source, helping businesses and nonprofits improve workplaces and retain employees. She also worked as the director of a community-based corrections agency and as a school paraprofessional. Brinks is a graduate of Calvin College, where she earned a bachelor's degree in Spanish with a concentration in sociology. She and her husband Steve, a Spanish teacher, live in Grand Rapids and are the parents of three daughters, Olivia, Annalise and Emma. =========================== This episode is sponsored in part by EPIC ▪ MRA, a full service survey research firm with expertise in • Public Opinion Surveys • Market Research Studies • Live Telephone Surveys • On-Line and Automated Surveys • Focus Group Research • Bond Proposals - Millage Campaigns • Political Campaigns & Consulting • Ballot Proposals - Issue Advocacy Research • Community - Media Relations • Issue - Image Management • Database Development & List Management Adam Zyglis - Buffalo News
Dave Hill is a comedian, writer, musician, actor, radio host, and man-about-town originally from Cleveland, Ohio but now living in New York City in a totally sweet apartment with a party deck and everything. Hot chicks come over to hang out and eat cheese plates and stuff with him all the time and it's awesome. Anyway, on the show business front, Dave has appeared on Netflix's The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Adult Swim's Joe Pera Talks with You Amazon's The Tick, Peacock TV's Girls5Eva, Comedy Central's @midnightand Inside Amy Schumer programs, TBS' Full Frontal with Samantha Bee, TV Land's The Jim Gaffigan Show, and TruTV's Comedy Knockout among a bunch of others. He is a frequent on-air host for HBO and Cinemax and has been on channels like MTV, VH1, BBC-America, and the Sundance Channel a whole bunch too. Dave also starred in his own television program The King of Miami on the Mojo Network, which was cancelled even though Dave really liked it. The show also aired in the United Kingdom on Sky TV's Film24 Channel. And you can still watch The King of Miami on Hulu too, which Dave is super pumped about. Oh, and Dave was a correspondent on Hoppus on Music starring Blink 182's Mark Hoppus on the Fuse channel, which ruled. Dave has been on other shows and in obscure movies too but let's keep moving for now. Dave performs live comedy over the world and has appeared at such festivals as the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, SXSW, San Francisco Sketchfest, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, Sasquatch Festival, Bumbershoot, Bonnaroo, the Bridgetown Comedy Festival in Portland, the Crap Comedy Festival in Oslo, Outside Lands in San Francisco, and then some other ones too. He has also performed comedy at Sing Sing Correctional Facility twice and even ripped some guitar solos inside a Mexican prison a couple times too. In 2007, Variety magazine named Dave one of their “10 Comedians to Watch,” something he still won't shut up about. Some things are hard to let go of. Dave hosted his own radio show The Goddamn Dave Hill Show on WFMU in Jersey City, New Jersey every Monday night from 9pm to midnight for years and now hosts the podcast Dave Hill's Podcasting Incident, which is also broadcast on the UK's Fubar Radio, So...You're Canadian with Dave Hill, and History Fluffer, on which he is joined by Jim Biederman, Jodi Lennon, and Chris Gersbeck. Dave is also a frequent contributor to public radio's Live from Here with Chris Thile and This American Life. He has also appeared on podcasts like WTF with Marc Maron, The Adam Carolla Show, The Nerdist, and then roughly 78 other ones besides those. Dave is the author of four books, including his brand new book The Awesome Game: One Man's Incredible, Globe-Crushing Hockey Odyssey, in addition to Parking the Moose (Doubleday Canada/Penguin Random House 2019), Tasteful Nudes (St. Martins Press, 2012) and Dave Hill Doesn't Live Here Anymore (Blue Rider Press 2016). He has also written for the New York Times, GQ, Salon, The Paris Review, McSweeney's, New York Observer, The Cleveland Plain Dealer, VICE, Guitar World, and a bunch of other places too. Comedy legend Dick Cavett called Dave “a major figure among American comic writers, past and present,” which is pretty much the coolest thing that has ever happened as far as Dave is concerned. Dave is also a musician who currently sings and plays guitar in the power pop band Valley Lodge, whose song “Go” is the theme song to HBO's Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, and the psych/garage rock band Painted Doll. He was also a member of Cleveland rock bands Sons of Elvis and Cobra Verde as well as Diamondsnake, a heavy metal band with Moby. Additionally, Dave has played guitar for Walter Schreifels and muscle metal band Thor and bass for Lucy Wainwright Roche and former Faith No More singer Chuck Mosley. He also contributed musical scores to films such as Dirty Deeds, Shoot First and Pray You Live, and then some other ones besides those two. Dave's Info https://www.davehillonline.com

"Top Of The World" The Emmy Award-nominated Mark Bacino is more than just a craftsman of pure pop magic--he's a producer, composer, educator and journalist. I first got on board with Mark's music in 2003 for his brilliant album Million Dollar Milkshake, which was the follow-up to his equally brilliant debut, Pop Job. Since then, he's put out Queens English in 2010 and fifteen years later he's backed that up with his brand new album Top Of The World. A sterling ten-song set, Top Of The World is filled with hooks galore, but it's also Bacino's most observational and philosophical work yet. Filled with tracks like the thrilling percussive stomp of Not That Guy to the horny swagger of Flop Of The World, Bacino has never sounded more assured. Falling somewhere between Marshall Crenshaw and Mike Viola, Bacino's music is a refreshing and charming streetsmart pop. I call him the Cole Porter of Queens because his lyrics are clever, his timing impeccable and his humor and wisdom always on full display. Bacino is the owner of The Queens English Recording Co., a boutique studio-music production house where he produces fellow artists and composes for TV/advertising. He currently serves as Producer of New Media and Audio Content for Queens Public Television in New York City where he's earned those two Emmy nominations for his audio engineering work and he hosts both the “Queens Creative” and “Queens County USA” podcasts. He also writes for Guitar World, SonicScoop and Songwriter's Market. www.markbacino.com (http://www.markbacino.com) www.bombshellradio.com (http://www.bombshellradio.com) www.stereoembersmagazine.com (http://www.stereoembersmagazine.com) www.alexgreenbooks.com (http://www.alexgreenbooks.com) Stereo Embers The Podcast Twitter: @emberseditor IG: @emberspodcast

Rockstars seem to find ways to hit headlines in some of the wildest ways. The bands of the 80's seemed to really take things to the next level, and one of the bands leading the way was Van Halen and their frontman, Eddie Van Halen. Eddie's incredible talent on the guitar made him a legend to anyone who was reading Guitar World in the 90's, but as you could imagine there were wild times to go along. Was the debauchery described in their tours as real as they say? Was Eddie nightclub guy or more of a recluse? Are we really sure that Eddie understood how reproduction worked? We'll dive into these questions and more in this episode of AHC Podcast. Joe Matera is a returning guest to the podcast. Joe has a brand new book titled Louder Than Words: Beyond The Backstage Pass. This is a follow-up to 2021's Backstage Pass: The Grit and the Glamour. Joe holds a unique position as a music journalist who is also a professional musician. It's allowed him access to areas where music journalists aren't able to.In this, his second book, Joe traces his childhood influences and meets the musicians who changed his life from heroes such as Janne Schaffer, who played on ABBA's studio albums, to Gerry Rafferty (the genius behind ‘Baker Street') and international superstar Bryan Adams and his songwriting partner Jim Vallance. Louder Than Words also delves into the often torturous touring life of a musician, with life on the road often leading to band break-ups or mental breakdowns. Joe also examines the impact of MTV on a generation of musicians, particularly one video by rising rock star Billy Squier that's said to have ruined his career. We're talking about tributes to the late, great Jeff Hanneman – the soul of Slayer and the true artist behind the band. One them was, according to Metal Injection's Johnny Orlando Jr., "the loudest memorial service I've ever attended, and the first one to break out into a massive mosh pit.” The weekly podcast Talkin' Slayer has six more episodes left, folks. And free listeners only hear half of those. To get every episode, including the ones you missed, sign up at Patreon.com/Slayerbook. Packages start at less than $1 per episode. DEEZ NOTEZ Chapter 55. This week we continue the discussion that we started at the end of our last show; with our admiration of the almighty power of the guitar and the guitar hero! This time around we are going to play guitarists, or guitar passages or leads in songs that caught our ears at some point in our lives that made us truly stop and listen. It's not always about the training, finesse, dexterity, or speed a player has or even the style of music or song that is being played. If you are into guitar and the sound of strings being plucked and bent then you know… It's just something you feel deep down that gets to your heart and soul! What's this InObscuria thing? We're a podcast that exhumes obscure Rock n' Punk n' Metal and puts them in one of 3 categories: the Lost, the Forgotten, or the Should Have Beens. This week we discuss all three. Get out your old Guitar World and Guitar Player mags and flip the pages as we discuss some of the most amazing fingers to ever touch a fretboard! Be sure to also check out the Jason Becker documentary “Jason Becker: Not Dead Yet” that we mention.Songs this week include:Anvil Chorus – “Blue Flames” from The Killing Sun (2009)Kirk Hammett – “The Jinn” from Portals - EP (2022)Bruce Kulick – “Ain't Gonna Die” from BK3 (2010)Buckethead – “Welcome To Bucketheadland” from Giant Robot (1994)Tears For Fears – “Broken” from Songs From The Big Chair (1985)Psycho Motel – “Welcome To The World” from Welcome To The World (1997)Cacophony – “Go Off!” from Go Off! On today's episode we discuss Cousin Larry visiting Red Sox Fantasy camp, Guitar World's list of Greatest Guitarists, and more. Sure, we throw a bunch of rock stories in there for good measure, like what happened to Geddy Lee after Neil Peart's death. We go on a bunch of other tangents too, including one about Jimmy Stewart. Plus, we listen to the new song from Sheryl Crow, and we climb the Wall of Tunes for a soulful artist who sold millions of records, after her death. #guitarworld #EvaCassidy #sherylcrowhttps://www.facebook.com/obrienanddoug/ https://instagram.com/obrien_and_doug

We had the pleasure of interviewing SAUL over Zoom video!Saul issue a call for connection in their music. The Iowa quartet—brothers Blake Bedsaul [lead vocals] and Zach Bedsaul [lead guitar, backup vocals], William McIlravy [bass, backup vocals], and Myles Clayborne [drums]—continue to bring audiences together with a one-two punch of precise and pummeling metallic grooves and towering magnetic melodies. Amassing tens of millions of streams and earning acclaim from Revolver, Guitar World, Loudwire, and many more, the group fortify an unbreakable bond with listeners on their second full-length offering, THIS IS IT…THE END OF EVERYTHING [Spinefarm].Saul emerged out of the Midwest in 2017 and tirelessly bulldozed a path to the forefront of modern rock. They notably performed alongside everyone from Motionless In White, Atreyu, August Burns Red, Crown The Empire, Bush, and 10 Years to HELLYEAH and Nonpoint in addition to gracing the stages of festivals, including Rebel Rock, Rock Fest, Rock USA, Inkcarceration, and Blue Ridge Rock Fest with Rob Zombie, Mudvayne, and Slipknot. The group independently landed a bona fide hit in the form of “Brother”—an homage to the co-founders' late brother Caleb. It marked their first #1 on Sirius/XM Octane in addition to gathering over 9 million Spotify streams and paving the way for their 2020 full-length debut, Rise As Equals. Co-written with David Draiman of Disturbed, “King Of Misery” reeled in 3.7 million Spotify streams, while “Trial By Fire” also surpassed 3 million Spotify streams. Of the former, American Songwriter praised“‘King of Misery' wasted no time jumping into the heavy mainstream riffs that Saul set out to wrangle,” and Outburn hailed its “futuristic and cinematic video.”Expanding the sonic palette, the guys collaborated with producer Kile Odell [Motionless In White, Nita Strauss] this time around. They initially teased this chapter with “JACK & JILL,” which tempers a hypnotic harmony with a heavy groove. On its heels, they unleashed the single “A MILLION MILES.” Co-written with Johnny Andrews [Three Days Grace, Starset, Theory of a Deadman], a seesawing riff and electrifying melody give way to a chant-able chorus laced with raw emotion befitting of the central theme.Hummable keys set the tone for “RUNAWAY,” dissolving into a harmonic riff. The breathy verses break like a wave on a refrain tailor-made for a live singalong, “Treat me like a runaway, because I'm vanishing. I don't think I'll be missed.”An ominous sample snaps into a pummeling chug on the opener “TOOTH & NAIL.” Clean vocals snake through the verses towards a warning, “There's no escape.”Then, there's “BETTER AS A MEMORY.” It swings between schizophrenic extremes highlighted by unpredictable instrumental dynamics and a heart-wrenching vocal performance, “Deep down you know, I'd be better as a memory.”In the end, Saul create the soundtrack for breaking free.We want to hear from you! Introducing Steven Rosen, author of Tonechaser, a book about the late Edward Van Halen culled from interviews and experiences across their 25+ year friendship. Steven has written for Guitar Player, Guitar World and many other Rock publications. He has authored numerous books about rock legends Jeff Beck, Prince, Bruce Springsteen, Black Sabbath, Free/Bad Company and Randy Rhoads. Here is PART 2 of our conversation. We begin PART 2 with the Sammy Hagar era. We discuss with Eddie's search for a new singer and his feelings about Sammy during the 'Honeymoon' period. What might have created the rift between Eddie & Sammy? What might be the reason for Eddie's drive and obsession with music to the detriment of his own health and relationships? Was Eddie able to achieve happiness in his life? What was the difference between Eddie the ROCKSTAR and Eddie the MAN? We delve into Van Halen III with Gary Cherone. How did Eddie feel about his 3rd singer and how did we deal with the crushing public rejection of the record and of Gary? We also discuss the loss of the friendship between Steven and Eddie. Who were some of the friends that Eddie had both in and out of the industry? I ask Steven some questions about Eddie from my lifelong friends Tom Lang & John Hardin. Steven gives us some great answers to these questions:) Buy TONECHASER! www.tonechaserbook.com And please leave a review!:) All of this, and of course, we put Steven on the HOT SEAT by asking the 10 questions made famous by Bernard Pivot and then James Lipton on Inside The Actors Studio with a twist!:) Learn more about your ad choices. Oh, what a night! Our guest is legendary, superbly talented guitar player Michael Staertow. He is currently a member of the legendary band, The Guess Who, which is currently gearing up to release its latest creation, Plein D'Amour. Band members Derek Sharp, Michael Staertow, Leonard Shaw, Michael Devin, and founding member, Garry Peterson have crafted a collection of songs that raises the bar and continues to take things up a notch both musically and sonically. Before The Guess Who, Michael was the guitarist for Lou Gramm. Michael is one of only a few guitar players to work with Lou Gramm, the voice of “Hot Blooded,” “Head Games,” “Juke Box Hero,” “I Want to Know to What Love Is” and other signature songs of the classic-rock era. That makes him a full-fledged member of a significant guitar-playing fraternity that also includes Foreigner founder Mick Jones, Nils Lofgren and Vivian Campbell. Michael has been the focus of articles in Guitar World, Guitar One and Vintage Guitar magazines, and he was featured in Gbase.com's Gearhead Gazette as well as featured on many popular podcasts. An aspiring vlogger, Michael captures short scenes from life on the road with Lou Gramm and artists like Dennis Elliot and Deen Castronovo to share on social media. Michael has also added Rock & Roll Fantasy Camp “Rock Star Counselor” to his pedigree.
