Please give me seven minutes to introduce you to a remarkable idea and to a remarkable entrepreneur who through many years of entrepreneurial living and coaching others in the ways to financial success can now help you discover some of the secrets of true success and powerful living. And now I asked STOSH the robot to do a complementary comment section on the program and this is what he came up with Where Service Meets Success: The Power of Living Generously A Personal Invitation from Stan Hostad Greetings friends, My name is Stan Hustad, and I'd like to personally share with you a remarkable new venture that is bold, beautiful, and—most importantly—needed. I've spent years as a business performance coach and international broadcaster, but recently I've had the privilege of joining something that touches both the heart and the mind. It's a new service and learning initiative called SteveLear.org, inspired by the life and mission of my friend, Steve Lear. Steve is a financial entrepreneur and activist, but more than that, he is a man deeply committed to the practice of generosity. Not as a charitable sideline, but as a powerful way of life. This isn't a church or a school. It's not a tech company. And yet, it feels like a blend of all three—carrying the wisdom of spiritual traditions, the curiosity of education, and the agility of modern innovation. So what exactly is SteveLear.org? It's a new kind of organization for a new kind of world. It exists to serve those asking life's most urgent questions—about purpose, calling, and what it truly means to live well. Three Core Pathways Let me briefly outline three foundational areas where this organization is making a difference: 1. Career & Business Development Whether you're just starting out or starting over, we help people find their strengths, sharpen their instincts, and develop real business and life skills. We believe in helping you create not just a living, but a life that matters. Think of it as entrepreneurial thinking—with a soul. 2. Leadership That Serves True leadership isn't about ego or titles. It's about service, humility, and listening well. SteveLear.org promotes a model of leadership that's people-focused and value-driven. We're not trying to build stars—we're trying to build communities that care. 3. The Power of Generosity This is the secret sauce. Generosity isn't just a feel-good concept—it's a superpower. By giving your time, your wisdom, your resources, you don't lose—you grow. And so does everyone around you. Generosity multiplies impact. Key Takeaways Here are a few thoughts to carry with you: • Life is not a waiting game—it's a building project. • Leadership is not a position—it's a practice of service. • You don't need to have much to give much. • Creating your own career path isn't selfish—it may be sacred. • A generous spirit can transform your business, your life, and even your destiny. A Final Thought—And a Call to Action Maybe you are the one. The one who lights the spark, who starts the good movement, who shows others a new way of living and giving. You don't need permission to begin—but you do need a path. That's what we're offering at SteveLear.org. Not a formula. A friendship. A journey. If you're tired of waiting for change—and maybe ready to be the change—then I invite you: Join us. Learn. Serve. Give. Grow. Welcome to where service meets success. With gratitude, Stan Hustad

This is a bit of a reflection on the news, and maybe a bit of a radio rant... But not too mean or strong. When my wife decided that she wanted to subscribe to Netflix I was not that happy about it. But it's her deal, and it turned out to be a very good deal and I have to admit I've learned a lot just by watching many of the stories on Netflix... In fact I've learned a number of things about life and business that were truly news to me that was helpful and useful to me. And this is especially important because I know that most of the news that we get on the news programs of the day is truly fake news and it's not really news at all and certainly not some thing that matters or is important. And I am reminded of the truth of a long ago of a curmudgeon colleague who said, "Stan remember if it's in the news of the day it's not the news. It's really something else and most of the real news is far away unless you look and search carefully! So here's the story for your thought and consideration and feel free to tell me what you think or perhaps where to go!

With some life lessons about communication and the power of point of the moment radio and television in today's world. Right now there are hundreds of programs and broadcast features about the passing of Pope Francis. And we note that and comment on some of the life lessons for the man who died the day after Easter. Probably just as he wanted. However many years ago the Pope then almost died in an assassination attempt in Saint Peter's square when a loan gunman tried to kill him. I was on worldwide radio that very day and it was a very challenging and interesting story and day and I learned a lot that day that has helped me as a communicator and a broadcaster today, and I'd like to share a little bit of what I learned with you if that's OK? And blessings to all and blessings on the memory of Pope Francis   Then we asked our robot friend STOSH to make a few comments and do a little review of the work I did and as always he has some good and unique things to say and so here they are . When the Pope Was Shot—And We Went Live: A Broadcaster's Remembrance By Stan Hustad | What It Takes Radio – "Stan, what do we do now? The Pope's been shot!" I remember that moment like it was yesterday. May 13, 1981. I was standing in the master control room at Trans World Radio on the island of Bonaire when those words hit me like a lightning bolt. The Pope had been shot. Most people don't remember where they were that day. But I do. Because I was about to go on the air with a program I had carefully recorded in advance. It was business as usual—until it wasn't. That day reminded me of the incredible power and responsibility of real-time communication. You see, Trans World Radio was one of the largest international Christian radio broadcasters in the world. From that little island in the Caribbean, we beamed content in 15 languages to audiences across continents. The program I hosted, Caribbean Night Call, was typically a laid-back mix of music and musing. Though the station was Christian in foundation, this particular show was meant for everyone. That night, though, it had to be something different. Something more. The plan was simple: at 11:05, and run the pre-recorded program as scheduled. But when I heard the news, I knew that tape was already outdated, irrelevant—and maybe even offensive. What kind of communicator would I be if I carried on with business as usual while the world was reeling from the attempted assassination of Pope John Paul II? So, we scrapped the recording. I went live. No script. No teleprompter. Just my voice, a microphone, and a fast-moving, emotional story unfolding in real-time. I scrambled for updates from the BBC and Voice of America. I reached out to people for live perspectives. One phrase that emerged and struck me deeply was this: “It's like shooting God.” That's what someone reportedly cried out when they heard the news. It reminded me how, for millions, the Pope represented more than a man—he was a spiritual symbol. And an attack on him felt like an attack on the sacred itself. Though I was exhausted by 1 a.m., I knew we had done the right thing. We met the moment. We served our audience by responding, not reacting—by being present, not polished. And that brings us to today. The death of Pope Francis, while not a tragedy in the same vein, once again reminds us of how powerful it is to speak to the moment. As I awoke early this morning—my “hour of power” at 4 a.m.—I realized that, once again, my responsibility was not to run yesterday's program, but to speak into today's story. Whether it's a snowstorm in Minnesota or a death in the Vatican, the moment matters. The point of the moment (what I call the “P.O.M.”) is when communication becomes not just content, but connection. Radio—and now video, podcasts, and livestreams—gives us the privilege to meet people where they are, not where we wish they were. As one of my mentors wisely told me, "If it's in the news, it may not be the real news. Your job is to find the real news—maybe even the good news."

On this Good Friday may I share with you some of the wisdom(?} of Pontius Pilate?

This whole day is full of life and business lessons about the state of our world not only 2000 some years ago but right now. Whether you are a believer or not, the lessons about group psychology, leadership, and how we live our lives with our hopes and fears and what we do when faced with difficult decisions, all come to bear and the stories and truths are told. And I am going to be so bold to suggest that there is something that we can learn that's very significant from what happened that day from the bad guy himself, Pontius Pilate ... This will challenge you in many ways, I guarantee it! ... And then STOSH the robot wanted to have his say about the program.... "Behold the Man: A Good Friday Reflection on Truth, Power, and Pilate"   First-Person Summary and Review: On this Good Friday, I took to the airwaves once again—not to preach, but to provoke. Not with controversy, but with curiosity. You see, I asked a question that might seem odd on this sacred day: Can we learn something from Pontius Pilate? The man who washed his hands, yet left a mark on all of history. This broadcast wasn't a sermon—it was a reflection. A conversation. An invitation to step into the Transformation Zone and ask yourself what you believe is true—not just in religion, but in life, leadership, and legacy. Because Pilate, in a moment of human weakness or accidental brilliance, gave us two of the most powerful phrases in all of human history: “What is truth?” “Behold the man.” Think about it. On one of the darkest days ever recorded, amid power struggles and political games, Jesus stood silent before the empire. And that silence spoke louder than any defense. Pilate saw something in him—something unshakable. Strength. Clarity. Conviction. A man who knew the truth. And whether you believe Jesus was a prophet, a revolutionary, the Son of God—or even if you believe none of it at all—this story remains one of the most studied, debated, and inspiring dramas of all time. It teaches us about fear, courage, responsibility, and that moment when someone asks you to make a choice… and you know it matters. Takeaways – To Remember, Reflect, and Share:

Because I think I can. Now let me introduce you to what Stosh the radio robot had to say aout the program ... He is pretty smart so take some time to listen and to read.... Should my Jewish and Tesla-Driving Friends Start Carrying a Gun? By Stan the Radio Man This isn't a question I ever thought I'd ask out loud. But here we are. April Fool's Day isn't hitting the same this year. Maybe because the joke's on all of us. Or maybe because things have gotten so absurd, so twisted, that even asking “should my Jewish and Tesla-owning friends start carrying a gun?” doesn't feel like satire anymore. I'm not trying to be sensational. I'm trying to sort things out—just like I asked God in a recent prayer. Help me sort things out… and then sort me in. Show me where I belong in all this. Where we all belong. Because 2025 isn't just a year on the calendar—it's a turning point. A time of turbulence, yes. But also a time of transition, and if we're wise and brave, maybe even transformation. That's the tension we're living in. That's what today's “Interesting Ideas” is all about. The Underlying Fear Across campuses like Harvard and Columbia, reports are rolling in that Jewish students don't feel safe. We're seeing a rise in antisemitism, not whispered but shouted in the open. Vandalism of Tesla cars—just because they represent a certain class, or carry perceived political weight. And in the middle of it all are real people—your neighbors, your friends, your family—wondering, Am I next? It makes you wonder: what would you do to protect yourself, your family, your peace? One friend of mine—Jewish, peace-loving, and proud—told me recently, “I carry.” In Arizona, that's legal. Open carry, just like the Old West. He's got an ankle holster, ready if things go sideways. Not because he wants to use it. But because he doesn't want to be caught unprepared. The painful part is—this isn't just paranoia. It's remembering history. Echoes from Amsterdam Years ago, when I lived in Amsterdam, I often took visitors to the Anne Frank House. There was a quiet protest once by a Jewish group—not anti-Anne Frank, not anti-anything really. Just a plea: Let's not let it happen again. They pointed out something I'd never fully grasped: What if someone had been ready when the Gestapo came? What if resistance started sooner? Would it have changed anything? Some argue yes. The Warsaw Ghetto uprising, for instance, proved that resistance can exact a cost—even when ultimately crushed. It was a declaration: We will not go quietly. But is that where we are now? Back at the edge of the abyss? Tesla, Symbols, and Targets Teslas have become more than just electric cars. For some, they symbolize progress. For others, elitism. Either way, they've become targets—scratched, keyed, smashed. A strange sort of backlash. When objects become symbols, and people get targeted for owning them, we're in dangerous territory. When identities—Jewish, tech-forward, urban, progressive, whatever—are turned into excuses for violence, we all lose. So the question I asked—about Jews and Tesla drivers carrying weapons—isn't just about guns. It's about fear. And choice. And where we go from here. The Drip Effect I've got a little background behind me when I broadcast, a reminder of what I call the “drip effect.” Sometimes it's the little things, drop by drop, that wear us down. But it can also be the small efforts, one at a time, that make things better. It's not all doom and gloom. I believe in the drip of kindness, of community, of resilience. That's the part we can't lose. Takeaways to Consider Fear is real. Dismissing it doesn't help. Neither does giving in to it. History teaches—but we must listen. “Never again” means vigilance, not silence. Symbols matter. Cars, identities, beliefs—these can inspire or inflame. Be mindful. Protection is personal. The right to defend oneself is real, but so is the cost of living on edge. Connection is key. Talk to your neighbors. Know their stories. Build the kind of world where guns aren't necessary. Moving Forward, Together These are turbulent times. Like that bumpy flight from Minneapolis to Phoenix—seatbelts fastened the whole way—we're riding through unknown skies. But turbulence doesn't mean the plane will crash. It just means we need to hold on, be aware, and trust each other a little more. So here's the encouragement I leave you with: Choose to be one of the good drips. Be the one who checks on a friend. Who speaks up when something's not right. Who listens deeply to the fear and the frustration—and then does something helpful, not harmful, in response. We don't all need to carry weapons. But we do need to carry each other. Reach out to me. Share your story. Tell me what you're seeing, what you're feeling, what ideas you have for helping people through this. I'm at stan@witradio.net, and I mean it when I say—I want to hear from you. In my coaching throughout the years to want to be and even experienced radio people, I often said, if you can just help one person that is good and your program may have been just for them. Of course that goes against the traditional teaching which says the being on the radio and on the air is to attract as many listeners or viewers or people that you can. That's nice if you can do that then of course you have to do that from time to time just to make it worthwhile and to make the money you need to be on the radio. But maybe just letting you know about the difficult weeks that I've had of a perfect storm of life's stuff just might be helpful to a few of you today. Please give me 12 minutes and we'll see if we can do that! And after doing the program I decided to give STOSH my radio robot friend the program for him to make a summary and this is what he came up with... Surviving the Perfect Storm of Life's Challenges Life has a way of throwing unexpected storms our way—sometimes a perfect storm of challenges that test our patience, resilience, and ability to adapt. Recently, I found myself navigating such a storm, and I want to share my experience in the hope that it might help someone else facing similar struggles. It started with an ambitious attempt to upgrade and expand my broadcasting capabilities. As part of my work with What It Takes Radio, I've been making significant updates to our software systems to enhance our radio and television outreach worldwide. Those of you who have ever worked with technology know how fickle it can be—integrating new and old systems, making things work seamlessly, and then finding out that, despite your best efforts, something inevitably goes wrong. It was frustrating, time-consuming, and costly. But just as I was working through those challenges, life threw me another curveball. One morning after my usual mile-and-a-half walk, I noticed a strange, dull ache in my chest. I brushed it off, thinking it was nothing. But by the next day, it hadn't gone away, and by the weekend, it had worsened. A rash appeared, and soon, I had my diagnosis: shingles. If you've ever had shingles, you know it's no minor inconvenience. The pain, discomfort, and disruption it causes are significant. It completely derailed my week and forced me to slow down and focus on healing. And here's the kicker—I had never gotten the shingles vaccine. I had assumed I didn't need it, and now, I was paying the price. Through all of this—the software struggles, the health scare, the forced downtime—I found myself wrestling with bigger questions. What is life really about? How should we be adapting to the rapid changes in technology, society, and even our own personal health? How do we continue to grow and evolve without getting overwhelmed by everything coming at us? Lessons from the Storm Delegate Everything but Your Genius – When technology fails or we hit a wall, we don't have to go it alone. Asking for help from those with expertise can make all the difference. I found skilled people to assist with my software issues, and with their help, we got everything up and running again. Health is Non-Negotiable – If I could go back in time, I would have gotten the shingles vaccine without hesitation. We often put off preventative health measures because we don't think we need them—until we do. If you haven't gotten your vaccine, I strongly encourage you to consider it. Embrace Change, Even When It's Uncomfortable – Technology is advancing at an unprecedented rate. Those who refuse to adapt will find themselves left behind. I recently had to tell a colleague that their outdated communication methods were holding them back. It's a tough conversation, but necessary. Use Challenges as a Time for Reflection – My illness forced me to slow down. Instead of fighting it, I used that time to think, pray, and strategize. Sometimes, life forces us to pause, and instead of seeing it as an obstacle, we can embrace it as an opportunity for  clarity. Develop Signature Statements – In the age of branding, having key phrases or statements that define who you are and what you stand for is crucial. Looking back at my old notes, I realized I had several signature statements that I had forgotten. Now, I'm refining them and preparing to share them in an upcoming class. Moving Forward with Purpose Life's storms will come—whether in the form of technical failures, health scares, or existential crises. But how we respond to them defines us. If there's something you've been putting off—whether it's a health decision, a technological upgrade, or a personal transformation—consider this your sign to take action. We don't always get second chances, and preparation is the best defense against life's inevitable challenges. Most importantly, let's help each other. If you know someone who might benefit from a word of encouragement or practical advice, reach out to them today. A small act of kindness, a shared resource, or simply a listening ear can make all the difference. As I sign off, I'm reminded that resilience isn't about never facing difficulties—it's about facing them with wisdom, courage, and the willingness to keep moving forward. Until next time, best and blessings to you all. - Stan the Radio Man

But they are very important things and you could use taking time to answer the big question of the day, because the answer could truly change your life and if you don't answer things might not go well for you! I'm Stan the radio man and let me tell you the story!... Now let my robot tell you the rest of the story. Do You Believe? The Question That Can Change Your Life By Stan the Radio Man Mardi Gras is the party before the penance, the indulgence before the introspection. Yesterday, the world celebrated with music, dance, and revelry. Today, Ash Wednesday, is the moment of reflection, the time to turn inward. This morning, I participated in the ritual—the marking of the cross on my forehead with ashes. Later tonight, at a friend's request, I will do it again. And it begs the question: does this act really mean anything? Does it change anything? Or is it simply a tradition, a cultural marker, a habit repeated year after year? That is the question. Do you believe? A Story That Stuck With Me Years ago, a man I once worked with—a skilled but flawed salesman—told me a story. He wasn't a saint, but his story had power. He was in Dallas for an important business deal and had arrived early, staying through the weekend to save money on airfare. On Sunday morning, he decided to take a walk. As he strolled past a church, he heard the sounds of fervent worship spilling into the street. Then, out of nowhere, a man came rushing toward him with a bright, eager face and asked, "Brother, do you believe?" Caught off guard, he hesitated. The question came again, louder, more insistent. "Brother, do you believe?" A third time. "Brother, do you believe?" Finally, realizing he needed an answer to end the encounter, he leaned forward and said, "Yes, I believe." With that, the man beamed, shook his hand, and ran back up the church steps. "I'm not of that religious persuasion," the salesman told me later, "but they got the question right." And so I ask you—do you believe? And if so, what do you believe? The Power of Belief Belief shapes behavior. It informs how we act, how we treat others, and how we move through the world. And belief isn't just about religion—it extends into business, relationships, and personal growth. In my work, I often teach "belief-based marketing"—the idea that successful business connections happen when values align. Before you sell anything, you must first ask: what do I believe, and do my customers believe the same? But beyond business, the real question is personal. Do you believe in yourself? In your ability to change? To heal? To be useful? The Mystery of Rituals My friend Ted, a brilliant man, once gave me a small brown bottle. Inside was an oil he made himself, following an ancient recipe from the book of Exodus. It wasn't just a bottle of oil—it was something sacred, something meant for healing. He told me to anoint my forehead, my doorway, even my microphone, as a way of inviting healing into my life. Do I understand how it works? No. Can I prove that it does anything? No. But I believe something happens. And belief has power. There are those who scoff at rituals, who dismiss them as superstition. But rituals matter. They remind us of deeper truths. They connect us to something greater than ourselves. They center us. Whether it's the ashes on my forehead or the oil from Ted's bottle, I believe that these small acts of faith have meaning. The Great Mystery Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent, a season of reflection, sacrifice, and preparation. It is the prelude to the ultimate mystery of faith—that evil can be conquered, that death can be overcome, that suffering can be transformed into healing. It is the audacious belief that, in the midst of darkness, there is light. And so I leave you with these questions: What do you believe in? How does that belief shape your behavior? Are your actions aligned with what you say you believe? Are you embracing the mystery, or are you ignoring the questions? Rituals, traditions, and faith—these are not just relics of the past. They are tools for understanding, for connection, for transformation. So today, on this Ash Wednesday, I encourage you to pause, to reflect, and to ask yourself the question that can change everything. Do you believe? And if so—what are you going to do about it?

And then to learn something that will be helpful and useful to you in your life work business and relationships. No matter what happened you can learn! Now that is what I said ... Another week, another moment of reckoning with the realities of the world around us. I'm Stan, and today, I want to share a few thoughts about power, leadership, and how understanding these dynamics can help us navigate life and business more effectively. Over the weekend, the headlines were dominated by a familiar name: Trump won again. Now, this is not a political statement—it's an observation. Whether you support him or not, his approach to power, negotiation, and influence offers valuable lessons. He understands the art of the deal, the importance of perception, and the way power structures operate. And whether we like it or not, these are the forces that shape the world we live in. The Power of Perception and Leadership Jordan Peterson once said, stop dressing like a 10-year-old. His point? Dress like a man. Dress for leadership. Dress for power. The way we present ourselves affects how we are perceived and, ultimately, how we are treated. Take Volodymyr Zelensky, for example. He presents himself as a man of the people, dressed in casual military gear. That's fine when addressing soldiers or rallying the public. But when sitting at the negotiating table with world leaders, perception matters. Power players expect to see a suit, a symbol of authority and respect. The reality is, in high-stakes diplomacy, appearance is part of the game. If you want to be taken seriously, you have to present yourself seriously. That's not just about clothing—it's about posture, language, confidence, and understanding the audience you are playing to. The boardroom, the political stage, and the business world all demand a level of strategic presence. Understanding Power: A Key to Success Power is neither inherently good nor bad. It is a tool. Those who understand it can use it for constructive purposes. Those who ignore it are often at its mercy. Trump, for example, operates with a keen awareness of power dynamics. He sees every interaction as a negotiation, every situation as a deal to be made. Whether it's foreign policy, business, or media presence, he leverages his influence strategically. And while his approach may not be universally admired, there's no denying its effectiveness. What's the takeaway? Learn how power works. Understand the flow of influence in your workplace, in your industry, in your relationships. Develop your power IQ. Know when to compromise and when to stand firm. Recognize that confidence, perception, and strategic thinking are as important as raw talent. Lessons from the World Stage The events unfolding on the global stage are lessons in negotiation and leadership. Trump, whether intentionally or not, positioned himself as a peace broker in Ukraine, using his perceived strength to influence the situation. While Zelensky played to public sentiment, Trump played to the power dynamics at hand. In the end, those who understand power—how to project it, how to use it, how to navigate it—are the ones who shape outcomes. This applies to our personal and professional lives as well. Whether you're negotiating a business deal, navigating office politics, or simply trying to be more effective in your daily interactions, understanding power is key. And it starts with self-awareness, confidence, and strategic thinking. Key Takeaways Perception matters. Dress for leadership. Speak with authority. Command respect through presence and preparation. Understand power dynamics. Know who holds influence in your environment and how decisions are made. Negotiate strategically. Life is a series of deals—learn how to make them work in your favor. Be adaptable. Different situations require different approaches. Recognize what the moment calls for and adjust accordingly. Seek wisdom. Power alone isn't enough—use it wisely and ethically to create positive outcomes. Moving Forward: Walking with Purpose Life is about navigating challenges with wisdom and courage. As you step into your week, carry yourself with confidence. Be aware of the dynamics at play in your world, and position yourself to lead, not just follow. And remember, as I often say—this is the way the world works. It doesn't mean everything is fair or good, but understanding it gives you the ability to navigate it effectively. Seek wisdom, speak truth, and walk with purpose. You are walking on the edge—so walk tall. Until next time, all the best and blessings to you.

Promises Kept: The Power of Keeping Your Word Why Honoring Commitments Can Change Your Life In this episode of What It Takes Radio, host Stan Houston reflects on a simple yet powerful idea—promises kept. He explores how life, in many ways, can be distilled down to the commitments we make and whether or not we follow through on them. From personal experiences to spiritual insights, the episode serves as both a challenge and an encouragement to be people of integrity and reliability.   Key Takeaways Keeping promises builds trust – Whether in personal relationships or professional endeavors, the ability to keep one's word defines character and credibility. Trust the process – Sometimes, promises don't unfold the way we expect. Faith, patience, and persistence are essential when outcomes seem uncertain. Life is full of turbulence, but also opportunity – Challenges and disruptions can either knock us down or open new doors. Keeping commitments during turbulent times can set us apart as reliable and trustworthy individuals. Disappointments are inevitable, but we can be different – People will let us down, but we can choose to be the exception by following through on our own commitments. K-Y-W: Keep Your Word – A simple yet profound principle to live by, one that can positively impact every area of life.   Conclusion: A Call to Action This episode is a reminder that integrity isn't just a virtue—it's a choice we make every day. When we honor our commitments, we contribute to a world where trust, reliability, and generosity thrive. So, as we move forward in this year, let's ask ourselves: What promises have we made that we need to fulfill? What commitments can we honor today? By keeping our word, we can make a real difference—not just for ourselves, but for those around us. Let's make this a year defined by promises kept. Stan Houston invites you to join the conversation. ... And I think you need to know the word too. So let's take an informative and maybe helpful 15 minutes to give you a new challenge... And a new opportunity because the world is now full of many many challenges and many opportunities... Let's check out the big word and see if we can do something that will make an impact in life and business. .... The following is what my robot decided to write about the program. The Power of Being Useful: How to Make an Impact in Life and Business In a fast-moving world where competition is fierce and expectations are rising, one simple but powerful question can define your success: How useful are you? Whether in business, relationships, or personal growth, usefulness is the key driver of impact and income. This idea, explored in a recent radio segment by Stan Hustad, offers a compelling framework for success in 2025 and beyond. The Key to Success: Be Useful Stan Hustad's discussion stems from a lesson he learned from his daughter Megan, who years ago set out to establish herself in the publishing industry in New York City. Despite coming from a Midwest state school and facing biases from the elite East Coast circles, she succeeded—not because of privilege or luck, but because she proved her worth by being useful. Her book, How to Be Useful, highlights a critical truth: success doesn't come from charm, intelligence, or even connections alone; it comes from offering value that people need. A striking parallel can be drawn with Elon Musk, a man who built his fortune and influence not by chasing money but by seeking ways to be useful. Whether with PayPal, SpaceX, or Tesla, Musk identified areas where he and his businesses could provide solutions, making them indispensable in their respective industries. His approach reinforces an essential lesson: usefulness leads to impact, and impact drives income. Key Takeaways for Life and Business • Success Is About Making a Difference – Being useful means solving problems, offering solutions, and improving the lives of others. The greater your impact, the greater your rewards. • Impact Drives Income – If you want to thrive financially, focus on how much value you bring to others. Money follows impact. • Simplicity and Innovation Matter – The best solutions are often simple but highly effective. Identify areas where you can streamline processes, create better experiences, or provide essential services. • Speed and Adaptability Are Crucial – The pace of work and communication is increasing. To remain relevant, you must be quick, adaptable, and continuously improving. • Differentiate Yourself Through Value – It's not enough to just be different; you must offer something uniquely valuable that makes a real impact. Final Thoughts: A Challenge for 2025 As we navigate a rapidly changing world, the ability to be useful is more important than ever. Those who succeed will not be those who sit back and wait for opportunities; they will be the ones who proactively create value, solve real-world problems, and make a meaningful difference. So here's the challenge: • How can you be more useful in your current job, business, or community? • What unique skills, insights, or talents do you have that can create an impact? • How can you turn usefulness into a source of income and long-term success? If you're ready to explore these ideas further, Stan Hustad is open to helping entrepreneurs, business leaders, and individuals unlock their potential. So I went out and studied him and bought a number of his books to find out about him. And I discovered that whether you would like him or not hate him or love him that he had a number of very good ideas and some helpful things that would possibly be useful to you and me as we are trying to build our business ... Donald Trump made it very clear that if he was elected that he was going to transform the United States government in many significant ways. And he has been choosing people who he believes will help him do just that, Have you ever been transformed and changed in a very significant way? Would you like to be transformed? With your permission I'd like to take 15 minutes this weekend to challenge you to do what I call a "Be Cause" Time for thinking and planning, As 2025 approaches what would you like to Be. ,,, and what is the cause that you wish to pursue, the thing in your life that is very powerful and purposeful and highly motivating to you, do you have a cause? If not would you like to have a cause because highly successful and change making people usually do, Because the world may step aside for the man or woman who knows who they are where they're going and what they're going to do. Well maybe not every one of them but many of them, and for some reason many people have the pre-disposition that controversy is bad. Really is that so? Do you know that? One of my missions in life is to help people have ISSACHAR ideas,,, and so may I tell you some stories share some random thoughts and perhaps suggest some ideas that might make sense.  Remember that the goal of much of life and business is to figure out how the world works, what makes sense, and what we are supposed to be say and do, and remember the word BeCause!

The election has been over for two weeks and the conversations, postmortems, and continuing challenges still remain. After all he went through it was said by some that if Trump would win that he would really take revenge on all of his opponents, enemies, and even on people he just did not like. It does not appear that that has happened so far and once Trump was asked about that during the campaign and he made a very startling statement.   So let's take a few minutes to think about that because it might be very helpful for you and I as we deal with some of our opponents, maybe even enemies, and even the people who have done us wrong or even just refused to help us. Just maybe Trump is right. Let me tell you the story and then you can decide.

There is a lot of conversation going on still about the American election and what it means and how it happened. I don't care to join that conversation politically because that's not what I do. However as a business performance coach and perhaps a student of the human condition let me just suggest a couple things that I saw that may have made some of the difference.  You are certainly free to disagree and I would love to hear your words for the conversation. But as always I hope it finally comes down to no one but you and maybe meet which is for both of us to ask where are we going to do differently that is better bolder braver and will make us stronger, and is there a way we can help each other.

I have over 35 years of business performance coaching experience, and I have found that most business people, and unfortunately most people trying to start a business are not very good at communicating... And as a result they are not very good at selling, marketing, telling stories, and attracting others. OK the world is in a mess right now and the American election which will have a significant effect on the world marketplace has now fallen into place and we know a little bit about what will happen with Donald Trump as president of one of the most powerful countries with one of the greatest marketplaces.  So with your permission may I give you your first lesson in one of the new realities of doing business today. Remember nobody will buy what you have or what you do until they are willing to buy you... Here's just a short introduction to that story.

It's been a week since the elections here in theUnited States and there's still a lot of conversation as well as confusion as to what's going to happen, and of course there is a great deal of speculation as to why Donald Trump was successful and why Kamala Harris was not even though it seemed that the contest for the presidency was quite even. Well one of the reasons is that I pointed out many years ago was that Donald Trump was not only an entrepreneurial businessman, but he had a great deal of experience learning how to use the modern media and was the big star in a very successful TV program.  The man knew how to use the microphone and be in front of the camera... And most of the competitors against him had virtually no experience with the modern marketing mass media. Well let me tell you the story and I think it could be very helpful to you because things are going to change and they're going to change a lot in 2025, and I want you to be ready to make your Mark, be more successful, live with less fear, and have a greater confidence in your abilities because you are learning how to be better at who you are and what you do!

And with your permission may I tell you my story. Like Donald Trump and most people I know I am "a flawed man." That's right I have some flaws and I've made some mistakes and I'm far from perfect. See I am a type A person I am very intense. Often I am impatient and many times I just go and live too fast. There are just a lot of things in life that I want to achieve and do and sometimes I may not be the best at being kind gracious and gentle with those around me. I have to remember that one time a woman simply said to me, Stan please, you just walk too fast! And lately I've been reminded that the God in my life is probably a slow dancer. So maybe I need to learn something from that and if you'll give me 15 I'll share my story.
