Out 'N About is a podcast dedicated to promoting open-minded conversation consisting of varying opinions. Sandy and I have traveled all over the world, living in the slums of Mumbai and South America, all the way to one of the richest parts of the US. We have been able to gain a unique perspective on how the world works. It is very apparent that in today's world, everyone is looking to be offended by any differing opinion from their own. Our hope is to show the world that you can be open-minded to different views of the world without being offended. We are here to entertain and inform, so keep an open mind and enjoy!

Jacob Cotner is a 19-year-old lift operator from Atlanta, Georgia. He came here to shred pow and learn somewhere in the range of 10 to 20 Spanish phrases that will garner him enough street cred to, one day, own and operate his very own hybrid snowboard/break dance/pastry shop, Sin Duda.   This season's adventure takes place in Park City, Utah, where I'm working as a Liftee (lift operator) on the largest ski resort in North America. I came out here in order to learn how to snowboard and forge connections that will last a lifetime. My hope, as always, is that if I stay open to it, life will present me with opportunities that will lead me to more and more adventures.

Well, my guest today, Trevor Moy, is a data analyst for American Airlines, and he’s here to tell you why right now is probably not a great time to head for the airport. The world is clearly in a state of panic, both socially and economically, but with so many countries shutting down their borders to any outsiders, no one has felt it more than the airline industry. So, unpack those bags, kick back, and grab your “meds” because this one is full of some great information!   In this episode, we break down… Trevor and I have a long history together, including travel and racial profiling How airlines are predicting future staffing needs during the virus The airlines are a necessity no matter what happens At what point are airports going to require  protective gear on everyone A timeline of the shutdowns that airlines have slowly enabled This thing is changing so many travel plans all around the world Options for people that have already bought plane tickets Events that have been canceled the definitely should have been canceled The important numbers that they do not push on the news Should we be expecting sports to come back this year?   Links to resources:   Coachella   United Airlines   Southwest   American Airlines   Shavon Shields   Upwork   TEFL Costa Rica   Find clips of the show on Instagram!

Sandy and I have chosen option number 2, trying a 5-day fast and a 30-day carnivore diet between the two of us for a variety of reasons. Sandy and I were lucky enough to grow up in the United States with enough room around us to think for ourselves. That’s not a luxury that most of the world has. I was raised in a Catholic family and am now an Atheist in my mid-20s. Sandy came up in a family that was not religious. We have both had the opportunity to live all over the world with people from different religious upbringings and that has allowed us to gain a unique perspective on religion. Just because someone has a different religious point of view doesn’t mean you can’t listen to what they have to say!   In this episode, we break down… Growing up in a Catholic family vs. a non-religious family Different factors that determine someone’s religion When people start cherry-picking the bible The positive sense of community that comes with religion 2 questions that have to be asked Why people have a hard time not believing in God Living with people of many different religious backgrounds   Links to resources: TEFL Costa Rica   Find clips of the show on Instagram!
