Naomi Schwartz"The challenge of manipulating metal is intriguing. Flowing forms and soft textural surfaces are created which gives movement and character to the hardness of metal.""The style of my jewellery is reflective of the harmony of nature. Using anticlastic raising techniques, silver and gold is hammered and raised into curvy organic forms, creating strong, yet delicate structures. Distinctive variations evolve in each piece as I am guided by the movement of the metal. This process gives each piece a unique character. Different surface finishes further enhance the contrasts in texture, light and shade."https://naomischwartz.com.au/Naomi Schwartz Jewellery Design GalleryAddress; shop 4a, 340 -352 Seaview Road, Henley Square Pavilion, Henley Beach, South Australia, Australia 5022Email; naomi@naomischwartz.com.auGallery Phone; (08) 8235 2683Gallery Mobile; 0427 403 042"Naomi Schwartz Jewellery Design Gallery is an open plan workshop and Gallery. Alongside Naomi's work, a collection of contemporary jewellery and glass is on display, designed and made by a selected group of South Australian jewellers. Currently there are over 40 local artists, providing a diverse range of styles and materials, including titanium, plastics, found objects as well as precious metals, gems and pearls. Also on display are stunning hand blown glass pieces that are reflective of the beach and coastal area."https://naomischwartz.com.au/gallery-and-workshop/"I have known Naomi for a few years now and always enjoy our chats.  Naomi captures beautiful curves and textures in her jewellery designs that to me feels like she has captured the unpredictability that nature presents us, which I think is perfect being at the beach.  Naomi is quite modest about her achievements. Her gallery in the beachside suburb of Adelaide is quaint and full of the colours of the beach represented in artwork by local South Australian Artists as well as her own work.  I  recommend a visit to Naomi's gallery in person or online and I just love the idea of having a special piece of jewellery remodelled as we discussed in the podcast!."Tania Ingerson Podcaster/Founder TEA The Entrepreneurial Artist PodcastAny questions about this podcast or any of the TEA The Entrepreneurial Artist podcasts, please email Taniaingersontania@mac.comI would like to acknowledge that music played on my Podcast is an original tune by David Innocente, Jazz Musician/Artist - "One Thing Led to Another"https://www.innocente.com.au/

Ben has performed in Japan, Russia, The United States, Spain, Canada, France, Belgium and England and performed over 1500 shows. Prior to joining Cirque, Ben performed with a wide range of artists back in Australia including Kate Cebrano, Paulini, Ben Folds, Doug Parkinson, Rhonda Burchmore, James Morrison, David Campbell, Barry Humphries and Glen Shorrok, as well as playing in the pit orchestras for a variety of musical theatre shows including the Australia/NZ tour of Cats, The Wedding Singer, Miss Saigon and Grease. Ben began playing drums at the age of 3, adding to an already large family of drummers (3 generations to be exact). His first introduction to the instrument was from his father, who was a full-time freelance musician at that time."http://www.bentodd.com.au/Latest Album https://bentodd.bandcamp.com/album/memento"It was a honour to interview Ben Todd for this podcast.  When Ben was talking about his career, first playing drums at 3 years old, coming from a family of 3 generations of drummers (maybe a 4th generation drummer on the way!), the respect he has for his dad drummer, Steve Todd, his determination over 3 years to do what inspired him at the age of 9 to join Cirque du Soleil and travel the world and achieve this.....and so much more, I couldn't help notice how humble, grateful to everyone that has helped him along the way and driven Ben was. Suzie Riley"Working from a straw bale studio in the bush, Suzie Riley is a South Australian artist living on Peramangk country in the beautiful Adelaide Hills. Immersed in a landscape that is central to her work, daily walks are a ritual that give her an opportunity to notice subtle shifts of light and shadow, colour and form. Plain air sketches in pastel or gouache are seeds for later work in the studio where she allows these impressions to filter into her work. Drawing on a sensitive knowledge of pigment, and a confident use of tone she explores how opposites reveal each other, seeking a balance of chaos and harmony, and a natural rhythm in the landscape.Working primarily in oil, initial layers of transparent and opaque paint are built up with variations of calligraphic mark and thick impasto brush marks to add texture and expression, each successive surface echoing the passage of time."https://www.artworxgallery.com.au/artworx-artists/suzie-rileySuzie Riley Art can be viewed and purchased at this gallery:Artworx Gallery and Gifts is one of the leading contemporary Art Galleries on South Australia's Fleurieu Peninsula.Artworx Gallery & Gifts opened in October 2005 in the historic river port of Goolwa, 80 kilometres south of South Australia's capital city of Adelaide. It hasbecome a treasure hunt, much like looking for that perfect shell or driftwood washedashore-always in search of patterns that tell a story, uncovering hidden images or justgetting lost in all the lines, swirls, and circles. It is a never-ending canvas that changesconstantly. These precious designs are nature's temporal gift to us, as the waves willsoon erase the image and replace it with another.Kelly became a member of The Occasion for the Arts, in Williamsburg Virginia in2017 and has volunteered in the annual art exhibition. Craig Lauritsen“I've been a professional musician for more than thirty years and my obsession with cymbal sounds began soon afterwards. Some time ago I began a quest to find the ‘perfect' cymbal and this passion led to countless hours searching for as much information as I could about all aspects of cymbal creation. Part of my study included getting my hands on many hundreds of cymbals from almost all of the major manufacturers and many independent  cymbalsmiths. I studied cymbal weights, profiles, tapers, hammering and lathing techniques, chemical composition, sonic characteristics etc. I also travelled to many different countries, seeking out cymbal makers and master cymbalsmiths. I applied this knowledge to perform my own hammering, lathing and surface treatment techniques to existing cymbals, all in the desire to create more musical pieces of bronze. I've always been attracted to pursuits which reflect subtle differences which can only be attributed to individual input or unquantifiable differences between other factors. For example, I love cooking, coffee, red wine, art, film, literature etc. Cymbal Smithing is certainly one of those pursuits, a craft where the individual imparts something unique into the final product.”http://www.cymbalutopia.com/www.cymbalutopia.com/Craig_Lauritsen_Custom_Cymbals.htmlCraig's websitehttp://www.cymbalutopia.com/The Tracker - Movie Soundtrack Craig played on discussed during the podcast interview https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3NgtXF21BmASome of the topics we covered:Creating and managing a creative business including managing timeImportance of the connection with a mentor and how that relationship can work to benefit everyoneProblem solving within the creative businessTaking risks!….. and much much more about being a creative person and creating an international creative business from a home workshop in Adelaide South Australia.“Craig is that quiet achiever he works hard, thinks entrepreneurial and is true to his passion and core values.  It was so much fun chatting with Craig, and I feel like Craig is someone you could talk for hours about so many topics, it was an absolute pleasure to have Craig on my podcast.”Tania Ingerson Podcaster TEA/Creative PhotographerI would like to acknowledge that music played on my Podcast is an original tune by David Innocente, Jazz Musician/Artisthttps://www.innocente.com.au/
