    6 Simple Steps of Foundation

Play Episode Listen Later Feb 2, 2020 7:00

Traci explains and discusses the 6 steps that your company should revolve around. She also explains why they’re so important to have within your company in order to be able to make it successful. KEY TAKEAWAYS Really understand your client’s problems. This is really the core of your whole company because this is what makes your business up. What pain is that pain causing your potential and current clients? Understanding this is going to enable you to communicate it to your clients effectively as well as giving you a greater understanding of your clients yourself. How does that pain make them act out? This will help you gain knowledge on how this problem is making them feel which you can then understand their emotions that are involved with this issue. Understand where that problem is going to take them. Where will the problem end up? Let them know of the worst case scenario so they understand that if they don’t get help they are aware of how they could end up. What’s the solution that you’re providing? How can you help them stop with the pain they’re feeling towards this problem that they’re having? What triumph will they get from you solving their problem? Let them know the best case scenario once their problem is solved and how great it will make them feel and be. These will all help with your marketing and sales. Concentrate the majority on step one because this is the core and foundation. Of course there will be more things along side but these are the core steps that should be followed.   BEST MOMENTS ‘Follow the pain cycle all the way through to the worst scenario’ ‘You can follow this system for all of your marketing messages’ VALUABLE RESOURCES ABOUT THE GUEST Simon Clements is the Creative Director at SC23 Creative Ltd, a creative agency producing branding, print and digital solutions to different industries. What's Your 'Why'

Play Episode Listen Later Jan 26, 2020 5:37

In today's episode, Traci discusses your ‘why’. What are the key thoughts that go through the head of many 'wanna be' & 'would-be' business owners;   I just want to be home with my family This dead-end job is going nowhere I can’t wait to get away from this awful job I am tired of working all hours and every holiday I know I am worth more than this   Whilst these thoughts are great at motivating you to start; they’re not great at inspiring you to grow and improve. They won’t inspire you to increase your skills and make your business thrive. To do that, you have to identify the real ‘why’ behind what you do.   KEY TAKEAWAYS There are a number of different ‘Why’s’; Passionate Why’s. Some business owners are passionate about a subject; whilst others are passionate about markets. With a true passion for your field, it can be a really strong motivator.  Whichever passion-based type business owner you are, learning to harness that passion will really help to take your business to the next level   Financial Why’s. Maybe you want to retire at 40 and travel the globe, love fast cars and dream of exotic vehicles. Whatever your big dream; you knew you’d never make it whilst putting in time at the day job. The truth is, there’s nothing wrong with wanting financial fulfilment. Money is a necessary tool; the more we have, the easier life is and it is nothing to be ashamed of.   Philanthropic Why’s. Plenty of online business start with the intention of finding a way to give more and give back. If you have a heart for a cause; a philanthropic Why might be the driving force that takes your business to the next level. If money were no object, what would you do?   ABOUT THE HOST  Traci Cornelius is a Speaker, Business Coach, Mindset Coach and Mum to 5 Girls.  Like many, Traci’s story is not really a succinct one. The feeling and sense of pride from doing it all yourself comes with a toll of burnout and frustration. Some solo-preneurs are letting a scarcity mindset prevent them from taking steps and making the investments that will have a massive impact on their business. And maybe you are too. Here are the 3 things you MUST consider to avoid this; 1. Outsourcing- is it too expensive? Or is it actually a cost-saving exercise in delegating your own time. 2.Automation- Too many entrepreneurs fail to recognise the benefits of true automation. Stop ‘making do’ with a pieced-together system, you’re spending money and time when you could be updating your tools and systems to save you time, which will save you money. 3.Coaching- There will come a time when your growth will flatline, this is the time to invest in coaching. Even coaches have coaches!   ABOUT THE HOST  Traci Cornelius is a Speaker, Business Coach, Mindset Coach and Mum to 5 Girls.  Like many, Traci’s story is not really a succinct one. The Importance Of Visibility – Collaborative Podcast with Gavin Preston

Play Episode Listen Later Dec 1, 2019 46:42

This week sees Traci collaborating with business strategist, growth expert and fellow podcaster, Gavin Preston of The Business Mastermind Podcast.   Gavin and Traci discuss visibility and how important it is in scaling and growing your business; the rights and wrongs, their personal definition of what it means to achieve visibility, the importance of authenticity, and much more…   KEY TAKEAWAYS   Gavin feels that his malaise caused by the efforts of contemporaries to “stay visible” has affected the way he drives his own visibility. Traci believes this was caused not by what these people were saying, but how they were saying it.   Everything you do is a conversation. A speech on stage is a conversation between a speaker and the audience. A live video is a conversation between speakers and their subscribers. Alarm bells ring when the persona off-stage does not match the one on-stage.   Authenticity comes when we truly discern our business’s purpose, and are able to communicate that passionately and honestly.   When you can become an unapologetic version of yourself, it releases all pretensions and stress, and all that is left is the will and desire to serve.   Visibility is about being seen. But further than that, it is the act of becoming so seen, and so identified with your chosen niche, that you are perceived as an expert.   To increase visibility, Traci recommends Live Videos, pre-recorded videos, such as YouTube content, podcasting, public speaking, networking events. Ultimately, every opportunity should be taken to place yourself in front of people.   Increasing visibility is important, but it should never obstruct the ways in which you make your income. A strategy that may help is to create content back-to-back.   Work out what’s stopping you in terms of visibility. Work out the pain cycle. Recognise that it doesn’t have to be perfect. Perfection doesn’t portray reality.   BEST MOMENTS   ‘Visibility is being seen in different areas’   ‘Why would anyone want me?’   ‘I was kind of a deranged newsreader’   ‘When you are unapologetically you, it is so liberating’   ‘Visibility means that you stand in the way of opportunity’   ‘If you’re pedestal-ised, you’re unapproachable’   ‘Comfortably uncomfortable’   ‘Be prolific rather than perfect'   VALUABLE RESOURCES   Women Rockin Business Podcast Traci’s Website The Business Mastermind Podcast - https://podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/business-mastermind-podcast/id1462414516 Gavin Preston Website Gavin Preston LinkedIn Gavin Preston YouTube Gavin Preston Facebook Gavin Preston Twitter   ABOUT THE GUEST   Gavin is an inspirational Speaker, Business Strategist, Business Growth Mentor, Trainer and high-performance Coach.  He works with Business Owners and Entrepreneurs and has a strong track record in creating creative strategies to accelerate the growth of their business. Rockin Brand Through Design With Simon Clements!

Not everyone is born to be an artist (well, which is the same with the fact that not everyone is born to be an entrepreneur). When you can’t seem to keep the ball rolling on your own, especially with the brand, it’s time to accept that maybe you need some extra (creative) hands. In this episode of the Women Rockin Business, we take measures on how to stop what most businesses are having problems with—lack of brand consistency, lack of personal branding, and low-quality designs. Traci talks to an expert in the creatives department, Simon Clements from SC23. Simon introduces some new creative ideas and solutions to arrive at a more personal branding to let your business thrive. Start tuning in to know more. KEY TAKEAWAYS As an entrepreneur/business owner, you don’t have to do every single task inside your company. If you know nothing about brand design, then you know nothing about it. Consider leveraging talents so you can focus more on what you do well. You get what you pay for. If you only allocate a little for an ambitious design, then most likely, you get a subpar work. Invest on someone who understands your business objectives, brand, so you can efficiently collaborate with them. Brand is important. The market has become saturated, and it has been difficult to stand out among the competition. A unique and effective brand will make a big difference. Having a personal brand helps. Let your personality come across. It’s easier to position yourself as an expert when they see you online engaging with people solving their problems. Tip: When you get your logo designed by someone, you need to have it in vector format. Tip: The logo should be conceptualised to fit also your corporate documents (e.g. business cards, letterheads, memos, etc.) BEST MOMENTS “The Women Rockin’ Business Podcast is all about sharing different expertise and the things we learn along the way.” Everyone has their own specialities; everyone has their own skills.” “It’s important you get paid what your worth.” “We live in a visual world, and people remember what they see.” VALUABLE RESOURCES ABOUT THE GUEST Simon Clements is the Creative Director at SC23 Creative Ltd, a creative agency producing branding, print and digital solutions to different industries. Standing Up And Standing Out – with Cate Walter

Cate Walter is the owner and director of two award-winning businesses, a coach, one of f:Entrepreneur’s Top 100 UK Businesswomen of 2019, an ex-primary school teacher, and most certainly a woman who knows how to rock business!   In this week’s show, Cate joins Traci to talk about the extreme highs and lows she’s faced, her advocacy of flexible working, how to empower women to achieve their best in business, the key to ongoing development and why it matters, and the issues facing women in the workplace today.     KEY TAKEAWAYS   Cate and her husband took a huge gamble on their first business. They only had operating costs for a month. Luckily, her drive and determination saw to it that they found instant success.   Rhino Safety’s approach was to bring accessibility and common sense back to health and safety. Their unique approach and singular image led to good word of mouth and accolades.   Cate and her husband decided that pursuing awards might be an effective way of increasing their business profile. The strategy worked. Award winners tend to get lots of press attention, which further increased their credibility and visibility, leading to more client enquiries.   It’s unfortunate that women who work with their husbands are often overlooked during communication, and can even be ignored during interaction.    The more Cate has progresses, the more she has noticed that women often feel that they are kept down in business, in sometimes subtle ways, such as child care. Small things that gradually build up until women can suffer a crisis of confidence.   Segregating sections of life is not healthy. Personal issues can impact your business life, and that’s okay.    Nobody needs to be put in boxes. Women should not feel as though they have a choice between either having a career or a family. They should not be naturally expected to be the parent who is expected to take care of not just work, but the home.   There’s far less pressure on women to feel intimidation or expectation when working in a women-only environment.       ‘A book helps you to have a voice and for that voice to be heard. It’s a business tool like no other, nothing impresses people like a book’  Lucy McCarraher is the Co-founder and Managing Editor of Re-Think Press, a hybrid press publishing the books of entrepreneurs. She is also the publish mentor of the ‘key person of influence program’ an accelerator program for entrepreneurs and founded the Business Book Awards which is now in its third successful year.  Traci and Lucy discuss why writing a book is so important and how it is a powerful business tool for anyone wanting to move forward in their business. If you have ever wondered about the process then this is the episode for you providing great detail about how and why you should be writing and publishing the book you have inside you.     KEY TAKEAWAYS  I grew up wanting to be a writer. My first book was a non-fiction book about work-life balance.  As a business person, an entrepreneur your book is there as a business tool. It’s there to position you as an expert, be a lead generator for your business, to position you as an authority.  Getting a book out there is a way of saying here I am and is a way of selling yourself which is something women can find difficult to do.  I have developed a mentoring program exclusively for women who are writing their own book.  A book can seem like a huge undertaking but with a business book, most of it is already in your head.  Your experience, perspective and journey are unique you need to show people where you’ve done your learning, it’s about being honest and authentic.  Your book is valuable and if only one person benefits it is worth doing. It is also beneficial to you bringing clarity to your work and is there as a resource that can be revisited and reused.  If you have put together 30,000 plus words on your area then you are an influential person and have credibility.  You have to breakdown the process and dismantle the fear.  Position and plan your book creating a detailed blueprint before you begin writing.  A book is a gender-neutral way to show your authority. It can seem like a daunting task but it’s a process and can be broken down.     BEST MOMENTS  ‘Your book when positioned right has a kind of magic to it’  ‘In the first year of the business book awards, we had 11 lovely white male winners’  ‘If you have a reasonably successful business you have a book to write and it will help to grow your business, visibility and credibility’    VALUABLE RESOURCES  Women Rockin Business Podcast  Next Step Aim High Community Facebook  A Book of One’s Own website  Lucy McCarraher LinkedIn  A Book of One's Own book by Lucy McCarraher  Lucy McCarraher ABOO Facebook  How to Write Your Book Without The Fuss book by Lucy McCarraher Joe Gregory & Daniel Priestley     ABOUT THE GUEST  Lucy McCarraher started her first publishing business while she was a student. Traci business mentor and mindset coach is talking about business observation and the importance of this for any business wanting to maximise profit. How can I make more money now? What am I leaving on the table? What isn’t resonating with people? Is my message getting across? Do I have continuity? These are some of the questions Traci explores when she carries out a diagnostic review of a business. in this episode, she shares in detail how to review your business social media presence and what you must have in place to maximise your impact and profit.   KEY TAKEAWAYS Reviewing social media Is there a continuity of message? People need to be able to recognise what it is that you do and recognise you – your brand awareness. Make sure you have continuity of message, are your images a representation of the message you want to share? Contact details must be up to date and easy for people to get in touch You will lose credibility if people can’t get in touch easily The ‘about me’ page - people have come to your social media because they want something from you. Have you got the solution to their problem? If you have the product or service to solve their problem they will then want to find out about you – they want to see if they can trust you This is when they want to find out about you and be taken on a journey. This is when they will want to find out more about you.   BEST MOMENTS ‘If there is a discord in your message people will not trust your message’ ‘It’s all about the psychological response people have, how they feel about you’ ‘If you are in an area of expertise where people have to be vulnerable they will want to trust you and if you have had similar experiences they will find this easier’   VALUABLE RESOURCES Women Rockin Business Podcast Next Step Aim High Community Facebook     ABOUT THE HOST Traci Cornelius is a Speaker, Business Coach, Mindset Coach and Mum to 5 Girls. Business Suicide or Business Sense?

In this fascinating episode Traci shares, some of the questions and comments she has received and explores the most frequent comment - around her serving female entrepreneurs. This open discussion provides an opportunity to understand a range of different perspectives and will help you to work out what you want in your business and how you want to market it. Listen in and find out more.   KEY TAKEAWAYS If you are serving female entrepreneurs is that business sense or business suicide? I understand that one size does not fit all but predominately it is still women who juggle the responsibility of children whatever their role. I’m juggling having children and running my business, I am able to identify with and communicate more easily, gearing my content, advice and strategies around having to take care of children. Is that business suicide or business sense? In business to attract the right client, you need to be able to speak their language and identify their needs. As a business coach, you need to be the person who helps with the strategies, guidance and tools to make the most of the time available. Isn’t it sexist to only deal with female entrepreneurs? I’ve coached men in the past but my area of expertise as a mum to 5 girls gives me a unique perspective on what it takes to juggle parenting, running the business and being the main carer for the children. I am able to identify with the entrepreneur who has been in business for a couple of years and is still trying to find the balance between taking care of their children, running their business and running their home whilst trying to find their area of expertise.   BEST MOMENTS ‘It doesn’t need to be a male-female divide but it must be a niche area where you can identify with them and they feel you understand them and speak their language’ ‘I wholeheartedly believe you cannot be everything to all people’ ‘I don’t see it as being sexist it’s just I’m able to identify with the people who have those particular issues’   VALUABLE RESOURCES Women Rockin Business Podcast Next Step Aim High Community Facebook   ABOUT THE HOST Traci Cornelius is a Speaker, Business Coach, Mindset Coach and Mum to 5 Girls. Adam Collins’ focus is on helping businesses achieve a tangible return on investments through integrating marketing and design. As the director of CurrantWeb, Adam has a vast experience and knowledge of both web and digital marketing that has been acquired over many years.   Adam joins Traci today to give you some really practical advice about how, and why, you should make your website your base of operations.     KEY TAKEAWAYS   With the rise of DIY website builders such as Wix and Squarespace, web designers have found themselves increasingly having to haggle with customers, who are often short of funds at the beginning of their journey. This subsequently leads to web designers undercutting themselves in order to compete, and ultimately cut corners.   There is a real underestimation of what a website is. It’s not just a static page, but a collection of operations and systems behind the scenes, too.   The problem with using social media as your base of operations, is that you’re never fully in control. You don’t have any control over algorithms, and you can never plan for costs as you are subject to any price rises imposed there.   When designing your website, make sure you do it for the customer, and not for yourself. Profile your audience, ask them questions, and design with them in mind.   You need to grab your audience’s attention within three seconds, when it comes to your website. Make sure your call to action is instant and powerful, and get those people converting!   Marketing your website is equally as important as creating your website. you could have the best website in the world, but it’s no good if people don’t know about it.   BEST MOMENTS   ‘We wanted to make a product that fits in-between DIY website builders and bespoke’   ‘It’s about taking control’   ‘Your website is only as good as the purpose for which it is designed’   ‘We don’t have a red button!’   VALUABLE RESOURCES   Women Rockin Business Podcast Traci’s Website CurrantWeb - https://www.currantweb.co.uk Adam Collins LinkedIn - https://www.linkedin.com/in/adam-collins-uk/?originalSubdomain=uk Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/adamcollinsuk Call Adam on 02476552222     ABOUT THE GUEST   After years of helping small business' achieve countless successes online, Adam knows the exact strategies to implement to help a business thrive online.   Adam's focus is on helping businesses achieve a tangible return on their investment through integrates marketing & design.   As the director of CurrantWeb, Adam has vast experience & knowledge of both web & digital marketing that has been acquired over many years.   ABOUT THE HOST   Traci Cornelius is a Speaker, Business Coach, Mindset Coach and mum to five Girls. Comfort Zones and Incremental Shifts

Comfort zones have so many aspects. They aren’t just about goals. It’s important that we continuously push ourselves out of our comfort zones. When we stagnate, we tend to move backwards, especially in this world where everything is progressing rapidly. Today on the Women Rockin Business Podcast, Traci discusses how incremental shifts can greatly influence you to get out of your comfort zone. Most of the time, people who rush into things tend to fall down as fast as they got started. Though time is of the essence, changes or level ups should be implemented in an organised and steady manner. In this way, we are sure that progress really happens. KEY TAKEAWAYS Building your own baselines can make you push yourself out of your comfort zone. If you’ve already broken your track record, then set a new one. The concept of incremental shifts is a sure and steady process that will lead you to your goal. Incremental shifts make it easier for you to improve the systems from time to time and lessens the possibility of the systems to break down. Managing is not about managing tasks; it’s often about managing people, their behaviours, their reactions, etc. Most line managers aren’t a people person at the beginning, but they’re able to hone their communication and management skills through the time. Louise’s Hay Mirror Work – a profound way to understand yourself and to rewire your internal dialogues. For example, standing in front of your mirror, telling yourself how you love yourself and thinking how grateful you are to everything can really motivate and get you through each day. BEST MOMENTS “Where is it that we can add more value and bring in more of our return of investment? What do we need to do to achieve that?” “Many want to progress in their life, but they’re fearful of big changes.” “Awareness is the key.” “It’s a learned trait to slow down and listen. Making a living at the thing you love is a dream we all have, and our guest today is doing exactly that! Emily Dolan-Davies is a drummer born and bred in North London, who’s been lucky enough to “hit things professionally” for the past eleven years. She has toured the world, playing music with many artists and brands including Howard Jones, The Darkness, Bryan Ferry and Kim Wilde, and in 2016 opened her own studio, enabling her to record drums remotely for artists across the globe.  This business has been incredibly successful, so how has Emily enjoyed the transition from musician to entrepreneur, and how does she deal with being a woman in a male-dominated space. You’ll find out the answers, along with the story of Emily’s incredible life so far, in this week’s episode!   KEY TAKEAWAYS   Emily always wanted to play music, but couldn’t quite decide where it was that she fit in. Drumming just clicked for her. As soon as she began to play, she knew that it was where she belonged, and has followed her heart ever since. Diversity is a crucial ingredient in what makes Emily love her job. She far more enjoys being a session musician as it allows her to switch between different groups of people and different types of music. Part of being an entrepreneur is to recognise when something doesn’t fit, and being brave enough to admit that something is not working. In every entrepreneur’s journey, there is always a time when it becomes almost too challenging. We are offered the choice to walk away or keep going, and choose the latter is often the more-difficult.  Self-worth can often be linked to how often the phone rings, or how many sales are made. But validation should always come from the content you create, the product you produce, or the service you offer.  Finding out your business purpose is crucial as an entrepreneur, and part of that is remembering that your business or brand is not always about you. It can also be about the people you serve. You can take inspiration and motivation from knowing that the things you make can help people. Be kind to yourself. Have self-belief. You need to recognise that have a choice in everything, and that you’ve already come such a long way as a business owner. Find something that you would do for free. Whatever you choose to do, you have to love it more than anything in the world. There will be times when you ask yourself why you’re doing this, and as long as you can answer yourself, things will be alright   BEST MOMENTS   ‘If you can have that much fun while you’re working, then it isn’t really working’ ‘You can’t find where you fit unless you try different things’ ‘I was looking for an external fix, when the real issue was internal’ ‘It doesn’t just motivate me. It genuinely inspires me’ ‘I’m no perfect. But what’s it like to be a virtual assistant?  Jo Hewson is a full-time virtual assistant based in Worcestershire who provides secretarial support, transcription services, eMarketing, website builds and management, event planning and social media management, all aimed at small business owners looking to leverage their time in valuable ways, and to access the multitude of ways in Jo’s experience can help their own business grow.   Jo joins Traci today to discuss her journey to becoming one of the most sought-after VAs around, how to get the best from your VA and the power of confidence.   KEY TAKEAWAYS   Jo’s experience has always been in a support role; secretarial, customer services etc, and it’s what Jo has always enjoyed. It was therefore a natural progression for her to perform this kind of service on her own terms. Becoming her own boss, but supporting others, is the perfect amalgamation of Jo’s skills and her desire to be her own boss.   Jo does a lot of networking, both on and off line, but the factor that’s really helping her business to flourish is the fact that her work is always of such a high quality. People love the skills she has, which makes them tell others.   Make a to-do list and look at it carefully. If there’s a particular job on that list that never seems to go away, that’s the first place you should begin to outsource.   The fear-factor among business owners and entrepreneurs is huge. People believe that no-one can do the job as well as they can. The reality is that VAs often know how to do it better, and will employ systems you probably have never heard of. You’ll often end up being educated while you leverage.   Look for a VA with the precise skills you need. Many have training and expertise in different areas. Look for your personal expert.   Contact several VAs before you make your decision. Skype or call them, and see which one you have the best rapport with. Your personal relationship with the person you’re trusting is tremendously important.   A good VA will always study their client to find out the best way of communicating on their behalf. Past work will show how the client likes to be viewed, whether formal, friendly, relaxed or professional.   Remember that aside from work completed, you’re not financially committed to a monthly outgoing with your VA. Try one out, even if it’s just for a few hours, and see if it helps your business. You have nothing to lose. You have no national insurance, sick pay or holiday pay!   Remember that communication is key. VAs should be clear about timescales and charges, as well as what exactly they can manage to do for you. Employers need to be clear about that their VA is to take on.   BEST MOMENTS  ‘I just love making people happy’  ’No matter what happens, good or bad, you’re either earning or you’re learning’  ’The education usually comes back threefold’  ’Sometimes people come with one need, and realise they have more’  ’Sometimes we need to be exposed to different information and a different way of doing things’  ‘It’s cake and cringe!'   VALUABLE RESOURCES   Women Rockin Business Podcast Traci’s Website Jo Hewson’s Website - https://hewsonbusinesssupport.co.uk/meet-jo/ Jo Hewson’s Facebook Page - https://www.facebook.com/hewsonbusinesssupport/ Jo Hewson on Twitter - https://twitter.com/hewsonsupport     ABOUT THE HOST Traci Cornelius is a Speaker, Business Coach, Mindset Coach and mum to five Girls. How To Make Sure Your Business Can Survive Without You

In business we are often called upon to switch focus rapidly. Traci found herself in such a situation recently, when following a transformational learning event that had given her an incredibly empowering sense of positivity, she was faced with devastating personal news.   But from the ashes of this event came a renewed sense of belief in the fact that it’s more important than ever to ensure that our businesses can function to an extent without us. In this special and highly personal episode, Traci discusses the hard, sometimes painful, but ultimately rewarding process of making sure your business can go on without you.   KEY TAKEAWAYS   After suffering a catastrophic personal loss, Traci found herself unable to focus on her business interests, as it felt wrong to do so, and quite simply because her mind would not allow her to focus in the way needed.   In the wake of a personal upheaval in life, it soon becomes clear that your systems and processes become key to keeping your business living and breathing as a separate entity.   When Traci returned to her business to resume work properly, she was able to ask herself what had worked well in her absence, and which parts had suffered as a result of her not being there.   It’s good practice to not wait until these tumultuous events arise to reflect. Reflection should take place once a week. Look at what’s working. What could go better? How did your week go?   Ask yourself what would happen to your business if you suddenly had a family drama that required your personal attention? What is your back up plan? Do you have systems and automation in place to take care of your responsibilities?   People often assume “passive income” means that you don’t do anything. It actually means that you put in a lot of work at the beginning, and earn from the same process multiple times.   When you fail in business you learn a lot about yourself, and if you are reflective and observational you can take these failures and analyse the precise points at which you could have made changes. Each failure is a lesson learned.   Relinquishing control is vital to any business. You can be so focussed on your business that you may not be aware of new advances that can help your business thrive. Be open to bringing new people in and hearing about the processes they may know about that can benefit you   BEST MOMENTS   ’The desire to be empowering, motivational and inspiring to others is what kept me there’  ‘Life happens. No matter how successful you are, there are things that will throw you off guard’  ’Those questions will help you to identify where your strengths and weaknesses are’ ‘It’s common sense to make sure you’re leveraging the most out of what you do for the maximum return on investment'  ‘Life is not guaranteed, and it’s so important to make the most of it'   VALUABLE RESOURCES   Women Rockin Business Podcast Traci’s Website   ABOUT THE HOST   Traci Cornelius is a Speaker, Business Coach, Mindset Coach and mum to five Girls. Take Back Control Of Your Financial Life with Esther O’Brien

Esther O’Brien began as a psychologist working in mental health in Australia, but after becoming a mother, she quickly realised that her career wasn’t allowing her to nurture her growing family.   Hoping to develop a secondary income stream, Esther began to look in the world of property, and after devoting herself to learning all there was to know about this exciting new venture, managed to replace her career salary through property investment in just two years.  Hoping to share her experiences and inspire others to take more control over their financial decisions, Esther now teaches financial education to those wishing to empower themselves, rid themselves of debt, and create their own financially independent lifestyles.  Esther joins Traci today to talk about her journey in business so far, her top advice on how to reclaim your financial life and achieve independence, and how she earned the nickname “Esther The Investor”...   KEY TAKEAWAYS   Esther’s first career in psychology was personally fulfilling, but didn’t allow her the lifestyle she dreamed of. She soon came to realise that there’s more to life than simply working. Taking it upon herself to achieve the life she truly wanted, Esther began to study finance in her spare time, assuring herself that if she applied herself, she could learn how to make herself wealthy and independent.   After reading Robert Kiyosaki’s ‘Rich Dad, Poor Dad’, Esther realised that there was another way of thinking, and that wealth and independence could be hers if she applied her interest in finance, and her determination to succeed.   Esther is a huge believer in trusting the numbers, making sure you do your due diligence, then there’s really nothing to fear. If the figures make sense, then trust them. There’s risk in everything, but by following the numbers, you mitigate that risk in a huge way.   After being approached numerous times in social situations for financial advice, Esther soon began to realise that she had accumulated a very large knowledge base throughout her experiences, and decided to formalise the process of aiding others in their financial lives.   By clearly defining your life goals, you can plot your path to financial independence. This comes back to trusting and following the numbers. How much more money do you need in order to free up some of your valuable time? What does that freedom allow you to do? How much time would you like to save? Most people see their goals as dreams, distant and unattainable, but that’s not the case. Everything is achievable if you have the right strategy.   One of the biggest and most common problems Esther encounters when beginning the process of financial education is that many choose to bury their heads in the sand when it comes to their own finances. People believe that by ignoring a problem it might go away, but we need to take responsibility and face these issues in order to move past them.   Reducing monthly expenses is a good place to start when re-ordering our financial lives. Cutting subscriptions, reducing unnecessary outgoings and expenditure is a good jumping off point, and can free up money each month that can be used to pay down debt or used for investment.   As well as living within our means, we must understand the concept of debt acceleration. If we order our finance agreements (Credit Cards, Loans etc) by highest interest to lowest interest, and then pay the minimum payment on the lower agreements, and as much as possible on the highest until it’s cleared, we reduce our interest payments exponentially and in a shorter period of time.   Overcoming fear and changing your mindset around investment are key factors that often put new investors off at the outset. Many believe that life is all about finding a job, paying bills until retirement and then (hopefully) taking it easy on a pension as a reward. But this view of what life can be is so often perpetuated because people aren’t educated about how life can really be.   Esther’s Top 3 Tips: Make sure you know your finances inside and out. Put it all in a spreadsheet and get to know your financial life. Decrease spending wherever you can Find a way to increase your income or find a secondary income, so that you can begin investing long term.   BEST MOMENTS ‘I thought “How is it that I’m in a career, and I’ve still got no money?”’  ‘The numbers don’t lie’  ‘The most important thing is to understand the goal’  ‘To every problem there is a solution’ ‘It’s about getting the best from your money’ ‘Money worries are some of the worst worries to have’  ‘Unless your salary is increasing by 3% a year, you are effectively taking a pay cut!’   VALUABLE RESOURCES Women Rockin Business Podcast Traci’s Website Esther The Investor’s Facebook Group Esther O’Brien – LinkedIn Rich Dad, Poor Dad - Amazon   ABOUT THE HOST   Traci Cornelius is a Speaker, Business Coach, Mindset Coach and mum to five Girls. On today’s show, international transformational guide, coach, mentor and author, Jessica McGregor Johnson, who’s devoted herself to showing people that there’s often more to life. All it takes is a different perspective.  Many people spend years climbing the ladder in their chosen field, only to find that it doesn’t tick all the boxes they’d expected. By working with Jessica, her clients are able to discover themselves, gaining clarity and the ability to identify their goals, passions, and how to live them professionally and personally.  Jessica joins Traci for a conversation about her renowned individual Spanish retreat and her signature program, ‘Get Unstuck In Two Days’, as well as the story of her incredible and inspirational journey.   KEY TAKEAWAYS   After ticking all the boxes in her life that she was told would bring her happiness, Jessica realised that none of it had. At the age of 28, she decided to leave her life behind and go looking for a new one, embarking on a journey of self-discovery.  We are so often presented with exhilarating opportunities in life that can be scary and which run against the given wisdom. But these moments can be transformational and can take us down completely new and unexpected paths in life.   Managing your state of mind when it comes to life is the most important lesson you can learn. If you can create a mindset that thrives on positivity, and that always embraces the opportunity, you will see those things reflected in your life.  Sometimes we can over-strategise our lives and ambitions. When reaching for our ideal lives, it’s good to focus on where we want to end up, but try not spend too much time working out how to get there. As Traci points out, plotting each step along the way ahead of time doesn’t leave much room to grab the other opportunities you didn’t even know were there.  Too many people today assume that if they’re patient enough, then their dreams will land in front of them, all packed up and ready to go. But Jessica’s story proves that if you want something enough, or if you feel like something’s missing, you have to go out and find it for yourself. We only learn through challenges.   People sometimes misunderstand that when big change comes in life, it’s rarely an external experience. It is so often an internal shift, the result of self-reflection or development that effects an external consequence.  Society these days seems to think it’s perfectly normal and acceptable to be perpetually connected and available. Jessica’s retreat insists that disconnection is not only required but necessary. A break should mean a break. Time to ourselves, with no distractions or expectations, is an essential component in self-growth and wellbeing.  Radical trust has been the most important factor in Jessica’s self-development. Everything in life happens for a reason, even the negatives. Sometimes we may never learn the lessons from these moments, but we need to have complete trust in the fact that it’s a part of your life for a reason, and a necessary part of your journey and your evolution.   BEST MOMENTS  ‘I don’t think we ever stop learning in life’  ‘There are moments in life when things clunk deep inside of you’  ‘It was a jump off the cliff, but boy have we landed’  ‘Your mental state is the key to everything that goes on in your life’  ‘Let go of the cursed “hows”’  ‘For me life is a journey of discovery’  ‘We have inside of us a wisdom that supports us’  ‘Just that huge change of outer perspective will change that inner perspective as well’   VALUABLE RESOURCES Women Rockin Business Podcast Traci’s Website Jessica McGregor Johnson’s Website The Right T-Shirt: Write Your Own Rules And Live The Life You Want Remembering Perfection: Everyday Inspiration For Living Your Spirituality   ABOUT THE HOST Traci Cornelius is a Speaker, Business Coach, Mindset Coach and mum to five Girls. Creating Content With Purpose – With Claire Winter

Joining Traci on this week’s show is Claire Winter, a content creator, journalist and copywriter who’s devoted to helping businesses to create compelling content designed to convert via online courses and one-to-one training, using the wealth of knowledge and experience she’s accumulated through a distinguished career in print and media.  Listen as Traci and Claire discuss the challenges and blessings of running a business as a parent, the importance of effective marketing and the best way to connect with, and learn from your customers.   KEY TAKEAWAYS  Having children, for women, can be as much of a professional blessing as it is a challenge. Claire chose to design the shape of her own career while bringing up her young children, one where she made her vocation fit around her family, and not the other way around.  Marketing is not just about talking about yourself, but talking about your customer in language they recognise. It’s not just about content, but content with purpose. And remember to give clear directions on how they can interact with you. Maybe they’re not ready to buy from you just yet, but draw them into your world, and draw yourself into theirs.  One of the great pleasures of modern media is that more and more people are broadcasters, whether that’s in print or in podcasts etc. This has meant that we’re now seeing a much more diverse and interesting new generation of content creators, who get to control their public perception, instead of adhering to someone else’s ideal.  If you’re creating written content, Claire believes you should be as professional as possible, not just in your content, but also in your behind-the-scenes development. By tracking the success of your content as you publish, you can see what’s resonating with people, and better define what future content is going to land well with your audience.  Some may struggle with “impostor syndrome”, to which Claire advises setting down a list of your strengths and plus points with the help of a colleague or friend. When you compare this list against the needs of your customer base, you can instantly see the “genius zone”, the place where their needs and your gifts align. And once you can see your own value, your confidence will grow.  You can save huge amounts of time, and make the most of your content, by repurposing it into different forms. Blog posts can be turned into social posts, or turned into podcasts or videos. This allows your content to be enjoyed and shared through a variety of different channels, and of course, to reach a wider audience than you may have originally planned.  It’s really useful to jump on a news story, or plan your content around events or the calendar, but always make sure the story or event is linked to your business. It’s a real opportunity to be creative, but it has to be relevant to what you’re selling or who you are.  It’s always good thing to share your journey with the world as it helps your audience or customers to feel as though they’re a part of it. People love stories. It’s so important to recognise our own stories and involve others.   BEST MOMENTS ‘When you have children, your focus shifts. But so do your opportunities’  ‘One of my superpowers is helping people to identify their story and tell it’  ‘You need to show up. It’s about being visible’  ‘You need to take fear out of the equation’  ‘Words are the building blocks of your business. You need to get them right’  ‘Be comfortable with who you are and how you talk to people’  ‘People love to hear your story’  ‘Show up, be authentic, and be consistent’   VALUABLE RESOURCES  Women Rockin Business Podcast Traci’s Website   ABOUT THE GUEST   Claire Winter has been a content creator, journalist, and copywriter for twenty years. Finding Out Why You are Worth More With Rob Moore

‘Working on yourself will benefit you, your business and your family, you are your best asset so invest in yourself wisely because you pay yourself the most interest’ Traci is interviewing Rob Moore who is one of the UK’s bestselling non-fiction authors and biggest influencers. Traci and this phenomenal guest discuss with candour his journey and share fascinating  insights into his latest book ‘I’m Worth More’.   KEY TAKEAWAYS How do you keep pushing yourself? I have a void that needs filling and it’s a void that is never filled. Most people’s values are linked to their voids and what they haven’t got. Being content is fleeting and the reward for overcoming a challenge. The hero’s journey is within us all and it is overcoming the  challenges that provide us with contentment. Do you still find it a challenge to celebrate? We all have confidence in areas we have mastered and a lack of it in areas we have not mastered, it’s not a curse to always need more it’s a gift There’s always more to find, to see, to do and that’s exciting. Be it till you see it There is a paradox between self-worth and confidence. You have to mix the paradox of ‘I’ll be more confident when I see the proof with I’ll be more confident in the moment until I see the proof’ You have to dig into the human traits within you to drive you closer to the proof. Why did you write this book? In all the work I’ve done the one thing that exists across everything is how you feel about yourself. It’s vital to understand how we feel about ourselves and how we convert that into self-worth. Value is the value you put out into the world. Your internal sense of worth is manifested as a product or service that you put out into the world. Your self-worth is intrinsically linked to your net worth. How do people get over feeling ‘salesy’? You’ve got to get out there and sell and believe in yourself and you’ll be better at selling if you value yourself. You need to be careful not to believe the extremes, you need positive feedback from yourself if you are looking for others to fill your emotional voids you are always going to be let down. You’ve got to learn to fill your own voids and not rely on others in the journey to finding self worth. This is a book for everyone can read and use  to increase their self-worth which then manifests in their value and in turn manifests in their net worth and reach. It’s the book that will do the most good in the world   BEST MOMENTS ‘I believe in the message I put out to the world and that when I make a mistake, and I will, that my belief will make it right and that is a message that’s not hard to get behind’ ‘It transcends anything you are doing’ ‘You’ve got to learn to fill your own voids, not rely on others’ ‘No one's self-worth is always or ever full’      VALUABLE RESOURCES I'm Worth More book by Rob Moore Rob’s official website: https://robmoore.com/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/robmooreprogressive/?ref=br_rs LinkedIn: https://uk.linkedin.com/in/robmoore1979   ABOUT THE HOST Traci Cornelius is a Speaker, Business Coach, Mindset Coach and Mum to 5 Girls. Let’s Talk About Staff

When it comes to staff, Traci knows what she’s talking about! From running a cleaning company with over fifty members of staff to overseeing teams of hundreds, managing and understanding people is something Traci has had to not only embrace but excel at.  One of the main lessons Traci has learned along the way is that a body of staff is made up of many different types of people, some of whom can add immense value to your business through their specific set of skills.   In this special episode, Traci talks you through staff; the pitfalls to look out for, the benefits to chase, and a remarkable number of strategies to ensure that you get the best out of your workforce.   KEY TAKEAWAYS   One of the scariest prospects when taking on staff is that you’re allowing someone new into the business you’ve built. And how could anyone care about your company as much as you do? But you need to remember that even if someone only works at 50-75% of their potential, that still relieves you of an enormous burden.  One of the first areas in your business that can benefit from outsourcing or staff is the admin side. Admin can make up a significant percentage of your workload and is a skill that many already have.  Social media can be very time consuming, but it’s an area that businesses need to focus on. There are many different platforms and many different ways of using each. Having a clear strategy for each platform, and ensuring that your company message is clear, can mean that outsourcing your social media presence to staff, and especially to specialists in the area, sharpens its effectiveness, and frees up more of your time.  Scaling up your business can involve taking on mass employees, which raises a whole new set of challenges. A human resources division may need to be established to deal with staff, as well as management tiers.  Traci advises that an important factor in growing your business is to make sure you keep your ear to the ground. Often when a business scales up, management can muddy or misunderstand a company owner’s goals. Managers are people. People are diverse. Motivations among different people can vary wildly. Understanding people, meeting them where they are and understanding how to get the best out of them is a far greater skill than numerous qualifications.  It’s important to make your values clear, but also vital to encourage creativity and inspire happiness among your staff. People work to their best potential when they’re invested in a pursuit. Imbuing your staff with a sense of pride in their job is a magic ingredient in making your staff work wonders for your business.  For some of you, a staff of people in your workplace can provide a creative, thriving environment built on ideas and community. For others, their strategy may not necessitate a workplace, and so outsourcing will suffice.  It’s very important to make sure you have enough profitability in your company to allow you to reliably pay your staff. But it’s equally important to remember that you need to pay yourself a healthy wage. If you haven’t got enough to do these things, then grow slowly and leverage outsourcing.  Offering an apprenticeship can take time, but also leads to a staff member with transferrable skills and a wealth of experience, who can then become a full-time member of staff for you. This is time-consuming but extremely rewarding.  Every person you take on is a potential risk. It used to be a lot easier to fire problem staff, those who turn out to create nothing but problems for your business. Remember that a person’s motivations can rapidly decrease if the job cannot dynamically suit their personal needs. Often these problems can be identified early on by making sure you are involved with a staff member’s training. Also, a trial period can act as an effective get-out clause for not just you, but also for your employee.   BEST MOMENTS ‘You don’t know what you don’t know’ ‘Treat your Facebook page as a shop window. Is it attractive enough to invite people inside?’  ‘The more hands-off you become, the more imperative it is for you to spend time on the shop floor’  ‘If people don’t know what the goal is, then they won’t be as invested in making that goal come to fruition’  ‘People want to feel as though they’re being helpful’  ‘A trial period is basically a get-out clause for you, and for your prospective employee’  ‘If you have good employees then reward them’   VALUABLE RESOURCES Women Rockin Business Podcast Traci’s Website   ABOUT THE HOST   Traci Cornelius is a Speaker, Business Coach, Mindset Coach and mum to five Girls. From Struggle to Success With Sonja Leason

Sonja Leason is a single-mum and part of a business consultancy focussing on fast growth culture, helping to grow and structure businesses from lead to delivery. She’s also a collaborative author of ‘A Woman’s Work’.      In this special interview, Sonja shares the story of her journey, of her personal development, the motivating factors that give her purpose, and her singular view on the world of business as a whole.   KEY TAKEAWAYS   Sonja believes that there are two main areas in which to focus on when building a business: leads and delivery.   Generating leads includes determining your target market, digital marketing, website structuring, and the subsequent automation of these processes, followed by team development.   From personal hardships, Sonja learned about her own resilience and perseverance, channelling her desire to give her son a better life into a will to succeed.   By identifying the motivating factor behind our drive to succeed, or our purpose, we can find the strength to push through the barriers we so often come up against in our professional lives.   Online advancements are a huge area of growth in business, but also a struggle as so often, new methodologies and technologies are outdated by the time they become implemented.    You need to clearly and concisely identify your business, what it can offer and who it is aimed at. Only by doing this can you successfully reach your target markets. It’s not just about finding clients; it’s also about finding the right clients.   Sonja and nine other influential women from business have come together to write a book ‘A Woman’s Work’, a work that they hope will be of immense value to other women beginning in business. Each section is authored by a different woman in business, and focuses specifically on their personal strength. Sonja’s section is about scaling your business.   It’s unfortunate that despite many advances in business, women are still not being taken as seriously as men. We’ve come a long way, but we still have a very long way to go.   We can sometimes be so blind to our own story, and unaware of the fact that much of what we live through, much of what we achieve, can be inspirational to others. Sonja has built a podcast with this message in mind, focussing on the inspirational stories of others.   If we can think or talk our way out of depression, then no one would be depressed. The cure rate for depression through the health service is minimal. Around 85% of those who begin treatment through the NHS remain on the treatment for the rest of their lives. Sonja embraced the mind-body technique, which she credits as very successful.   BEST MOMENTS   ‘I love the business processes. I love business’   ‘There’s always been a bigger purpose, which in my case is my son’   ‘Purpose is the best alarm clock in the world’   ‘If you don’t have a strong message, then you can’t really communicate that online’   ‘We need more female voices’   ‘If you’re only ever seeing things from one perspective, you can never grow’   VALUABLE RESOURCES Women Rockin Business Podcast Traci’s Website Love Mondays HQ Sonja@wearelovemondays.co.uk Sonja Leason’s Podcast - From Struggle To Success Becoming Supernatural – Joe Dispenza   ABOUT THE GUEST   After leaving home at 16, Sonja was pregnant at 17 and lived in homeless hostels with her son for over 3 years. To work her son and herself out of poverty, she threw herself into her career and found a passion for business very early on. After working in various businesses ranging from family run to multi national corporations, Sonja had started her own business by the time she was 30 and has loved every minute of it since.   “I have a passion for people, human behaviour and psychology. After a career working with big name, international companies such as Peugeot, Renault, Red Bull, Pizza Hut and Gems TV, I love to bring big business strategies into the SME sector in order to bring transformational results”   “I am a certified DiSC and 5 Behaviours of a Cohesive Team Trainer and I love to offer transformational modalities in order to achieve business success”   “The Love Mondays team have saved numerous businesses from closure which in turn avoided many redundancies. We have created hundreds of jobs in the last 5 years and supported many charities relating to homelessness, domestic abuse and poverty”   “I am passionate about helping other business owners to achieve their goals and gain freedom by creating the life and business that they love, whilst making a difference, too. Leveraging Your Life With Catherine Turner

Catherine Turner is an iTunes #1 podcast host (Leveraged Lifestyle), as well as a leading light among entrepreneurs, having established herself as a successful business woman, inspirational speaker, world record holder and also a mum of two!   In 2011, Catherine discovered that through the power of property investment, she could create the lifestyle she’d always dreamed of. By leveraging this power, she could also learn how to leverage life itself, and since then, she has been on a mission to empower others to take the steps towards their own leveraged lifestyle.   Listen as Traci talks to Catherine about her powerful story, one that has led her to success and happiness, and from which perhaps you can begin your own journey to a leveraged lifestyle.   KEY TAKEAWAYS   Catherine has built her success on leveraging time, money and the skills of the people around her, to shape her ideal life. In her own formative years, her mother, having to work to support her family, was not able to spend as much time with Catherine as she wanted to. It was this factor in Catherine’s upbringing that perhaps influenced her outlook on life, and created a determination that time with family is more important than anything else. Catherine has had mental health struggles in the past, but by confronting and recognising them, she has emerged stronger and more positive, fully aware of her own strengths, and determined to help others who may also be suffering without realising it.  One of the main fuels for Catherine’s depression was the belief that she had to do everything herself. The realisation that parts of her life could be leveraged, led to her business success. One of the most powerful tools in self-improvement is gaining a complete and honest understanding of who you are as a person. The beginnings of Catherine’s leverage lifestyle occurred when she and her husband and business partner began to employ virtual assistants. By leveraging out the lower-value tasks, such as administration, Catherine began to see her own free time increase, which she used to improve her business, and to focus on key areas and personal time. When you have other people in your business and you team, you not only are able to leverage out these lower-value tasks, but learn about new technologies, new techniques, and more efficient ways of performaing tasks that may not have previously occurred to you. One of the most important factors in moving towards a more leveraged lifestyle is allowing yourself the freedom to relinquish a sense of control over your own business. It was Catherine’s desire to learn, and to apply herself to a practice, that led her to studying property investment. It came quite suddenly, and almost without prior planning, property investment seemed to fit with Catherine’s ideals and interests due to its reputation as one of the more sound pursuits, both financially and in terms of success ratio. One of the biggest misconceptions is that you need to be rich in order to get into property, and also that it’s far too complicated an endeavour. In actual fact, determination, creativity and willingness are all that’s needed in order to begin your own property journey. Catherine’s initial goals were all centred around money and the things that money can buy. But as her journey has progressed, it has become less about the things, and more about difference it can make to her life, and how she can use her experience to inspire.  The biggest takeaway so far in business, has been discovering her own resilience, and coming to the understanding that by working through each challenge as it comes, we are actually improving ourselves each time. Catherine sees visibility as one of the main issues when it comes to women in business. Through personal development and by engaging in a course of study that focussed on public speaking, she came to realise that women’s voices, not just in business, but in all walks of life, are creative and equally as valuable as that of men, but may not suggest themselves initially when voices are called for. THis needs to be addressed and balanced, as the world is missing out on incredible insight. Thankfully, the landscape is changing.  The first steps towards a more leveraged lifestyle should begin at home. Are there any tasks you could leverage there, such as gardening or cleaning, that could give you more time? At your business, look at what you’re good at, and then think about leveraging everything else. Focus on your strengths, and allow others to focus on the lower-value tasks.   BEST MOMENTS   ‘I’m always learning, and I believe that I can always do better’   ‘There’s another way of making money that isn’t just trading your time for money’   ‘Everyone I know is touched by mental health in one way or another’   ‘One of the biggest factors in mindset coaching is learning about yourself’   ‘Sometimes you don/t realise how much you’ve been holding yourself back until you’ve got the space to open up’   ‘When you hire assistants into your business, the most common misunderstanding is that you’re going to have to do so much training with them, when often it’s the other way around!’   ‘When you take learning out of the classroom and into the real world, and begin to apply it, that’s when a new level of learning comes in’   ‘Things are simple, but they’re not always easy’   ‘Take a break, take a moment, how can we get through this?’   ‘Let’s give women a bigger voice, a better stage, and show that they are as good as men’   VALUABLE RESOURCES Women Rockin Business Podcast Traci’s Website   ABOUT THE GUEST   Catherine is an iTunes No.1 podcast host of Leveraged Lifestyle, entrepreneur, businesswoman, an Inspirational Speaker, world record holder, Co-Director of Ideal-Collective.com and a mum of 2!   Catherine quit being an employee in 2013, after working more than 50+ hours on average a week, over 3 jobs. Jobs, hours and a lifestyle which led to a diagnosis of clinical depression before the age of 25.   In 2011/12 Catherine discovered the power of investing in property, and tried many different property investment strategies over the years, finally settling on Serviced Accommodation in 2015, which has now grown from one unit in her home town of Chelmsford, Essex to over 50 across the UK, helping investors, landlords and developers create a better return on their money or property.   This year, Catherine and her husband Stephen, also her business partner, joined forces with the Directors of LoLite Homes to create the Ideal-Collective.com, which is all about leveraging the services and knowledge of all four Directors when it comes to Serviced Accommodation, Social Media, Finance & Virtual Assistants.   Catherine started Leveraged Lifestyle podcast to give business owners and those not leading their ideal lifestyle, to learn the mindset and skill set it takes to create a lifestyle of Freedom, by leveraging time, money & knowledge and using outsourcing and systemisation.   CONTACT METHOD http://www.ideal-collective.com www.instagram.com/catherineannt www.facebook.com/catherineturnerspeaker www.linkedin.com/in/catherineturnerspeaker https://itunes.apple.com/…/leveraged-lifestyl…/id1380225106… https://www.stitcher.com/…/progressivepr…/leverage-lifestyle Leveraged Lifestyle Community: bit.ly/llocfbgroup       ABOUT THE HOST   Traci Cornelius is a Speaker, Business Coach, Mindset Coach and mum to five Girls. Running multiple businesses is the best way to go if you want to grow your income rapidly. Traci, herself, is running a few businesses simultaneously, so in this episode of the Women Rockin Business Podcast, she shares her experiences and everything you need to know in order to start on your own business empire. She gives tips on how to diversify your businesses, how to outsource talents, and why is it essential to keep updated with the current economic situation you’re in. Discover what works for you to grow your business when you listen in. KEY TAKEAWAYS You learn and grow from challenges. For example, when the recession hit, Traci’s career was affected, but it became a turning point for her. She grew stronger from it. She became less reactive, more creative and more observant. Diversification is imperative. There should be multiple streams of income, so in case a project doesn't work out as it should, you’re secured. Take note of the external factors that can significantly affect your business, especially the current political and economic situation and tech trends. Explore other industries through collaboration. You can learn from partnering with someone or a group of people who has different knowledge and skillset from you. It opens up new perspectives and business ideas. It’s okay if you want to change directions. Having multiple businesses can also help you find your true passion, if you’re in limbo, while making money along the way. Outsource talents. To have clarity in your visions, sometimes you have to confide your ideas and talk about it with someone. If a particular task is not your expertise, then better hire someone who can do it for you. BEST MOMENTS “Putting everything in just one avenue can be very dangerous.” “The people that can think differently, look at opportunities, see where there are gaps & openings, they are the ones that usually survive and thrive during recessions.” “There is not one dream lifestyle for every entrepreneur; it’s very personal.” “No one person’s WHY is better than another person’s.” “Isn’t it much better to learn from somebody who’s been there, done that, and knows the pitfalls so that you can come in quicker and better.” VALUABLE RESOURCES Rob Moore Women Rockin Business Podcast ABOUT THE HOST Traci Cornelius is a Speaker, Business Coach, Mindset Coach and Mum to 5 Girls. In this episode, Traci talks about the best ways of introducing your business to the world.   By clearly identifying our aims and purpose at the beginning, we can more accurately reach the people who want to buy your product or service. Whether you’re just starting out, or long established, it’s never too late to analyse the best and most efficient way of selling what it is that we do. By identifying several key areas in her own mission statement, Traci shows how you can more effectively market your own businesses.   KEY TAKEAWAYS  We often hear about the term “elevator pitch”, a famous phrase used in the movie business, by where those looking to pitch an idea to an executive have the length of an elevator ride in order to do so. This is meant to promote the idea that ideas need to be sold quickly and as succinctly as possible. But not enough business people take advantage of this method.  Establishing what it is that you do and who it is for in a clear, concise way is a fundamental necessity of your business.  Who are you serving? This should be the first aspect we address. This instantly lets anyone know if your product or service is for them, or for someone else. The first question we always ask ourselves when something is offered is “Is this for me?”. This should be followed by “What are you offering?” And “Why are you offering it?”.   By withholding the “How?”, it opens up a discussion between the client and your business.  It is far easier to identify our potential client’s “why?” if we engage in groups and networking. Listening to the reasons for engagement will help us to better craft our message. The next step is to test the message.   BEST MOMENTS ‘We need to be able to easily and clearly help people to know exactly what it is that we offer, what it is that we do, and more importantly, who it is for’  ‘Like it or not, we’re all inherently selfish’  ‘You need to find out the psychology around what makes your potential client tick in order to craft your message’  ‘In a room of 25 female entrepreneurs, 22 could not say with authority or confidence what it was that they did’  ‘People don’t buy when they understand you, they buy when you understand them’   VALUABLE RESOURCES Women Rockin Business Podcast Traci’s Website   ABOUT THE HOST Traci Cornelius is a Speaker, Business Coach, Mindset Coach and mum to five Girls. Really immersing yourself to upgrade your skills and become the person(and entrepreneur) that you want to be can involve pushing yourself outside of your comfort zone. It may also increase learning about yourself, as well as the other areas in your business. In this episode, Traci talks candidly about her own experiences and discusses her entrepreneurial journey. She shares with you the challenges she has faced and how adversity can be used to propel us forward to live a life we are proud of if we understand our ‘inner game’   KEY TAKEAWAYS Sharing what has happened to me is challenging but it has helped others to share their stories. It empowered them to be brave enough to speak up. Growing up in a confusing often volatile and unloving environment where the experiences I had with those I was meant to be able to trust was contradictory to how I thought about myself led me to doubt my own interpretation of me. In a moment of clarity, I understood something incredibly profound, I didn’t need someone else to tell me I was worthwhile I needed to do that for myself. This was a turning point in my understanding, I needed to find the solution that was the correct fit for me and change my self-sabotaging behaviours. I needed to do something different to gain something different. The Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT)  changed my life helping me to release a number of my trapped emotions and gain a feeling of confidence, self-renewal and hope. If we have self-limiting beliefs and sabotaging behaviours because of past experiences then all of the opportunities and strategies we have for our business will inevitably fall short until we understand, change and overcome those behaviours. Sometimes what we go through is actually what makes us. It helps us to shine a light on the direction and path for others to reach their desired destination. Self-sabotaging behaviours do not define you, and you can get through it. Seek out help to make sure you are living the life that you really want, that you are able to be free of the emotional baggage you may have been carrying around with you. I’m always striving to be a better human, a better entrepreneur and to inspire and empower other women. Every experience I have been through in my life personally and in business has made me the business mindset coach I am today. I hope sharing some of my experiences helps others to feel empowered, inspired and to know that anything is possible. BEST MOMENTS ‘So, they can live a life that they are proud of’  ‘They can wake up happy and think ‘ I love my life; I feel with every cell of my body this is what I was meant to do’ ‘As a business and mindset coach, I am incredibly passionate’   ‘It’s been met by a desire for that person to do better and to know they can get through adversity’ ‘If you have choice and freedom you can do anything’   VALUABLE RESOURCES Women Rockin Business Podcast   ABOUT THE HOST Traci Cornelius is a Speaker, Business Coach, Mindset Coach and Mum to 5 Girls.  Like many, Traci’s story is not really a succinct one. How do you resign from your job, and become time and financially free with an e-commerce business? Traci Interviews a woman who has done just that, Tadie Hampshire-Haig, who runs Online Seller Circle. Out of a really difficult moment in her life Tadie has built an e-commerce business to provide multiple streams of income and now she’s helping others to do the same. Traci talks to Tadie about her beginnings in arbitrage, why mindset is so important and her advice for budding entrepreneurs. For everything, you need to know about e-commerce and getting the right growth mindset for your business, listen here. Key Takeaways How did you start? Online selling wasn’t really on my radar but it happens really quickly. It was driven by circumstance. It’s been two years since I started the business, and before that, I was a completely broken person. I was in a lot of financial debt. During a meeting at my work, and I felt pain in my left leg, and I woke up in an ambulance. I remember getting home from the hospital after an operation and my mom rang me to tell me she has a rare form of cancer. There was one trial of treatment in France which was £35,000. It was like my mind was split down the middle. I knew I had to find a way of getting out of this position. It was my mission to care for my mom and get her the treatment she needed. I was determined with a laptop and Wi-fi connection to make sure I was able to help her. I came across arbitrage. After trial and error, and lots of mistakes I was able to create a successful business. I wanted to not be solely reliant on one stream of income. How did you get started in FBA? Arbitrage is basically buying low and selling high, and pocketing the profit. With the financial issues we had, it was a good opportunity to start small and scale up. Using Amazon as the platform to use this. It's heavily reliant on 3rd party sellers. 9/10 of sales on Amazon are from 3rd party sellers. You can use the FBA programme to do all the hard work for you like distribution and customer service after the sale. You can fully outsource it as well. You started by yourself. I was quite sceptical at the beginning and only started with £20. Sometimes you don’t know whether it would work. I purchased £5 products and they sold them in a week. I was completely self-taught. You need to make sure that you are doing the right due diligence with your products. Dependant on the results you can make a more informed decision on how many units you might purchase. The model was validated for me. I had a few products which didn’t sell properly because I didn’t use the research. We’ve now created a guide for people wanting to start their own business including things like the weight of the object which can sting you with postage fees. This strategy isn’t simple you do need to learn from the right people. My mentor said to earn £100,000 in sales and I laughed. That was connected to my own lack of self-esteem but you can do it. Anyone can. The second time I laughed was when I hit that goal. You can put as many hours into this as possible whether you are wanting to do it as a side hustle, or if you are retired. What has been the greatest challenge for you? Time was a real challenge at the beginning, with family life, and working full-time. Trying to fit everything it was difficult. If you are given a choice, I think it's perceived that women will spend time with their family over their work. It boils down to what you want to do. If you want to do something then you will find the time. If you look at your time then you can always find some more time to focus on things. What have been the biggest upside to adding the arbitrage to my business? I look at arbitrage as vehicles. I look at the training business as the most achievement because that’s where my passion lies. A lot of people go through life not knowing what their passion is. The circumstances that drove me into has made me realise I want to help others. The biggest reason why people stop is because of a lack of self-belief. Success is all about mindset. If you lack self-belief then everything will be more difficult. You have to break that down and understand why. I’d look at how you turn those negative habits into positive ones. Being successful is all about having the right mindset. How would you define women rocking business? Doing what she does best, inspiring and empowering others. Paving the way for the next generation of entrepreneurs. Best Moments ‘What this business has given me and my family has been amazing.’ ‘I was bed bound for three months.’ ‘It was like my mind was split down the middle.’ ‘I wanted to make sure that I wasn’t solely responsible on one stream of income.’ ‘If you love shopping you can make it into a real business.’ ‘FBA does all the hard work for you.’ ‘You can fully outsource it.’ ‘It’s a completely hands-off approach.’ ‘Sometimes you have to learn the hard way.’ ‘I earnt more than I lost in my first year.’ ‘Make sure you innovate.’ ‘I got a mentor very early on in the process.’ ‘We work with lots of different people.’ ‘Anyone can get into this, and make it work.’ ‘If you go it alone there are lots of mistakes you can make.’ ‘It can give you choice freedom.’ ‘Its challenging for women to balance family and work.’ ‘If you want to do something then you will find the time.’ ‘Its really important to have to have the right network.’ ‘Helping people is a really fantastic feeling.’ ‘You can be successful you just need to take action, and get educated.’ ‘There are no stupid questions, you don’t know what you don’t know.’ ‘We have over 500 sellers in our community now.’ ‘When I got a mentor it made all the difference.’ ‘You don’t want to move from one job to another you have to outsource.’ ‘This is about time-freedom as much as financial freedom.’ ‘Don’t be afraid to fail.’ ‘Great things don’t come from your comfort zone.’ ABOUT THE HOST Traci Cornelius is a Speaker, Business Coach, Mindset Coach and Mum to 5 Girls. F.O.M.O! Fear of Missing Out

Play Episode Listen Later Apr 28, 2019 24:39

F.O.M.O. or the Fear Of Missing Out, isn't just a personal experience; It also happens in business. Sometimes entrepreneurs think that they miss out on opportunities and their sought-after success because they lack or are not cut out for it Traci says this is not the case. Today on the Women Rockin’ Business Podcast, Traci clarifies the concept of FOMO. She explains that when F.O.M.O occurs, it is related to your self-belief.  If you have true self-belief then you will understand the difference between the fear of missing out and an opportunity to upgrade your skills. Instead, try to think about how you can ready yourself for what comes next.  Also discover in this episode, the power of the ‘I am’ statements and the ‘awareness switch’. Know how you could use them to increase your confidence. These and more when you tune in. KEY TAKEAWAYS Fear of Missing Out is a self-belief issue. That you believe 'what you have within yourself' is not good enough. Instead, believe that you’re capable, that you can offer the same value as experts in that field. Test your new product or service that you’re about to launch. Are you using your client’s ‘language’? Are they benefitting from what you are offering? Confidence is something that all entrepreneurs must possess. To gain a following and investors, people should see what you can offer and that you’re confident to deliver what you promised. Positive ‘I am’ statements can help you gain that instant confidence. Examples: I am a mom, I am enough, I am successful Traci introduces the concept of the ‘awareness switch’. When you activate the awareness switch in your brain, you become aware of opportunities that match your conscious thoughts. We are not all the same. We attract certain people to us and our message resonates and for others, it doesn’t and that is OK, that is why we have multiple experts. BEST MOMENTS “If you’re staying true to the path that you’re on, you’ve already got the expertise. It is self-belief issue that you’re having, and at this moment in time, maybe an identity crisis – thinking that everybody else has the answer and you don’t.” “I am a positive person but that does not mean that I don’t suffer from feeling negative. It doesn’t mean that I don’t suffer from negative self-talk. There are times that I can really berate myself but what I’ve done is I’ve worked on those areas. I’ve understood where they come from. I’ve understood that they don’t need to define me.” “In times of crisis within your life, one of the things that really needs to carry you through is your business. You need stability and sustainability in your business to get you through those times.” ABOUT THE HOST Traci Cornelius is a Speaker, Business Coach, Mindset Coach, and Mum to 5 Girls.  Like many, Traci’s story is not really a succinct one. It is long with many twists and turns(which I liken to business and life itself!).  Many of the twists and turns have helped me to learn, to grow and to become a successful entrepreneur. On a professional level, she runs many businesses. On a personal level, she is a Mum to five wonderful, adorable, courageous, independent and challenging girls. “I discovered exactly where I had gone wrong in my previous businesses.  Everything I had been through, the good the bad and the ugly started to come together into the best discovery of all the “5 Power Principles” I implemented them, first in my business and then in others and so they then became the “5 Power Principles” that other people wanted to know about!”  –Traci Cornelius When it comes to starting and scaling your business, whilst juggling family responsibilities and taming your mind monkeys, Traci is your go-to-gal! Taking Control & Creating a Secure Financial Retirement; With Vicki Wusche

Listed by the Telegraph as one of the top 25 most influential people in property Vicki is in conversation with Traci discussing her own journey and her passion – helping others to create a wealthy retirement plan. Vicki Wusche is passionate about creating both secure financial lives and wealthy retirement for people enabling them to have better and extensive choices about how they spend their time. Listen in to find out how to achieve a better balance now and prepare for a wealthy retirement in your future.   KEY TAKEAWAYS The thought of getting into property can be perceived as something happens for other people, people who are already millionaires, but it is open for everybody. It is another stream of income it’s like having an employee earning you income every month. We don’t need to own where we live and we don’t have to live where we own, we just need to rent somewhere so we can live where we want. I want to help other people move from where ever they are now to where ever they want to be. I got into property because mathematically it made sense, but it also allowed me to control my time. It's vital to consider your retirement and legacy to ensure that your retirement finances enable you to do what you want to do. Accept there are priorities in your life and work out what is most important to you. When you know what your priorities are,  build your business around that. Work out what you want your life to be like and how you want to spend your time. Work out how much you need to earn to have the life you want. Look at where your incomes streams are, and which will provide the quickest route to providing the cash flow you need every month to have the life you want. You’ve got to sort out what you want in life, get clarity and then control of your finances. Property investment is just another business and you need to understand the market, the tenants, the client, the legislation and most importantly the maths. The only thing that is going to make you feel secure, is if you take control. The choice is doing nothing and the retirement debt cascade or doing something, creating a wealthy retirement pan and a whole second life. We could be the generation that saves the world or the generation that makes our children indebted, the choice is ours.   BEST MOMENTS ‘Property is about a return on money invested, training has to be a return in time invested’ ‘Getting a clear view on what you want and the resources you have will determine how to start along the path’ ‘You can accelerate your business much faster when you work with someone one to one, such as a mentor’ ‘You are in a position to move upwards further identifying what other investments you can make’   VALUABLE RESOURCES Vicki Wusche Website The Wealthy Retirement Plan book by Vicki Wusche Property for the Next Generation book by Vicki Wusche Using Other People's Money book by Vicki Wusche Make More Money from Property book by Vicki Wusche Property for the Next Generation book by Vicki Wusche   GUEST CONTACT METHOD Vicki Wusche https://twitter.com/vickiwusche https://www.facebook.com/VickiWusche https://www.linkedin.com/in/vickiwusche/?originalSubdomain=uk https://www.youtube.com/user/ThePropertyMermaid   ABOUT THE HOST Traci Cornelius is a Speaker, Business Coach, Mindset Coach and Mum to 5 Girls. ‘I started putting some changes in, but I didn’t really know what to do because I was the girl who was going nowhere’ Emma Jane Taylor author of ‘Don’t Hold Back, International speaker, TV presenter and multiple business entrepreneur is in conversation with Traci about both her personal and entrepreneurial journey from ‘the girl who was going nowhere’ to a successful business owner who has created success across different platforms with her passion and belief. This inspirational story will resonant with anyone who hears it so tune in now.   KEY TAKEAWAYS I was the girl who was going nowhere, I can't believe (myself) that I've done so much I believe so much in what I’m doing, and it’s all been in stages with each stage bringing new and different opportunities. Behind that smile was someone who was still finding things overwhelming and complicated. I channelled and let go so that the pain hit me. I allowed myself to go back to work through the situation. It's about changing the balance of the life processes and I’ve be able to understand where my balance is. It was the turning point because I realised I needed to start giving back. I started to broaden my horizons and reaching out to another network of life. You are breathing in other people’s energy. You are able to start to do things differently stepping into new worlds and seeing new opportunities. I’m now moving into networking across the globe and I’ve done that because I’ve looked at who I am and what I want in my life. I’ve surrounded myself with strong friends who are right for me and provide me with great strength. I want to be with strong, powerful dynamic women who aren’t afraid, to be honest, and show emotion. There are space and energy around us that draws us to others and shapes the journey we are on. I want to open Pandora’s box, I wanted to share real stories about real people. I want people to know I’m going to share a show based on honesty, trust and engagement This platform is for helping people for giving back. For people to share with others and in doing so offer support. We need to be passionate strong and evolve as we move forward.   BEST MOMENTS ‘I never thought I would share my personal story’ ‘I started to learn more about myself’ ‘It’s important to address that these things happen to encourage others to have a voice’ ‘I can’t go through my life feeling like this, I can’t sustain this it’s not who I really am’ ‘It was a moment that made me step back and think this is not going to be my legacy’ ‘You can step away with kindness and grow together’   VALUABLE RESOURCES Emma Jane Taylor website Women Rockin Business Podcast Don't Hold Back book by Emma Jane Taylor   ABOUT THE HOST Traci Cornelius is a Speaker, Business Coach, Mindset Coach and Mum to 5 Girls. To help you to know you are not alone, the entrepreneurial journey can be very lonely and there is a huge learning curve when you begin. My experiences in business and the challenges I have faced and overcome have all been important lessons on my entrepreneurial journey. It is vital to have multiple streams of income in a variety of arena’s to help recession-proof yourself. You should work towards your businesses being able to function without you so that if something happens you will continue to have an income. Mentors are key to progress as they help you with another perspective and bring expertise and experience. Many people think that excuses are valid reasons it's actually your mindset holding you back. To get the lifestyle you want, you need to get through to the other side. To be able to get past where you are now to get to your desired outcome. Mentorship is a powerful part of your journey. Every business will have had input from a different source. We never get anywhere solely by ourselves. Masterminds are vital to help your understanding of your business and change your perceptions. This is for you, all the female entrepreneurs who want to make an impact and achieve the lifestyle you want.   BEST MOMENTS ‘Finding a way to have a physical mentor who can guide you is imperative’ ‘Your business needs mentorship to be successful’ ‘Mentors and coaches hold you accountable’ ‘My naivety cost me a lot it almost cost me the opportunity to ever be an entrepreneur again’     ABOUT THE HOST Traci Cornelius is a Speaker, Business Coach, Mindset Coach and Mum to 5 Girls. ‘If you want to step into your best business self, be inspired to know you can do it and that you are not alone then the Women Rockin Business podcast is for you’ Traci explains the importance of Clarity, Direction and Discipline and how you can use it to create focus consistently. Listen in to find out in this episode how to use the ‘F’ word successfully in your business!   KEY TAKEAWAYS Entrepreneurs in various industries at different levels all view focus and maintaining its momentum as a challenge in business. What gets in the way? Procrastination – the excuses that stop you carrying out the action and self-sabotaging behaviours which are undertaken to stop you reaching your goals. There may only be small changes required to alter the way forward, but the challenge is within the follow through. Your mind is like your misguided best friend. It is trying to keep you safe, so it is change adverse. If you have had an experience in the past that has been challenging and move towards something similar your brain will try to move you away based on the outcome of the prior experience. There are 3 areas to look at when you are seeking to enhance your focus and consistently stay on track in your business; CDD Clarity -  you need to have clarity about why you are in the business you are in? why is it you are doing what you are doing? Why are you helping other people? What is it you are doing to help them? Direction -  where are you heading? What are your goals? what is the direction you are heading in? Discipline -  self-discipline is a habit. You can often experience feelings of being overwhelmed and creating discipline through routine and a consistent approach to tasks is vital. It’s not big changes that we need in our business to make them successful it’s the small changes that we do consistently that make us successful entrepreneurs enabling us to live the life we want to live.   BEST MOMENTS ‘We hold ourselves back by thinking we need to do it all’ ‘It holds you back from your genius zone,  the realm of your expertise’ ‘It’s so easy to blame others’ ‘As the person at the top of the chain we need to look first at ourselves’   VALUABLE RESOURCES  No Excuses! book by Brian Tracy Eat that Frog book by Brian Tracy ABOUT THE HOST Traci Cornelius is a Speaker, Business Coach, Mindset Coach and Mum to 5 Girls. The Women Rockin Business podcast is for Female Entrepreneurs who want financial freedom, time freedom, choice freedom to make a difference in their business and have a greater impact. In this episode Traci is in conversation with Liz Raffles owner of Liz & Fitz in Winchester, a successful independent boutique for exclusive British brands. They explore the journey and how Liz overcame challenge and adversity with tenacity and perseverance to create an award-winning business.   KEY TAKEAWAYS Starting the business happened very quickly,  we saw a concept and decided it could really work in our home town so 11 months later we opened the shop. It was a massive undertaking in every area and having a physical space meant there were specific challenges along with the systems and processes of a business such as sales and marketing. The relationship I was in became abusive both physically, mentally and financially bringing both the business and me to a point of near collapse. It was a very dark difficult time which was about survival with no opportunity to look after or grow the business. The driver for me was proving to my children that I could make a success of it and set them a good example showing them what they could achieve. The rebranding was an important turning point in being able to make the changes that made the business my own. It’s a big part of who I am, and the shop is a reflection of me. There will always be challenges in business it’s the way we react to them that’s important. It's vital to realise that you can't do it all on your own. Learning to outsource things you aren’t very good at or don’t like doing can make you more productive. There is a fear about outsourcing that you are paying someone else to do something you could possibly do yourself and that they won’t represent your brand in the way you want. To be successful it's important that you have a good support network, this needs to encompass people such as your family and mentors who can guide you providing overview and perspective whilst holding you to account. A successful business is something different to everybody, for me it’s about being able to support my family and be a great role model for them.   BEST MOMENTS ‘Don’t be afraid to outsource it enables you to grow your business’ ‘I have a great deal of tenacity and perseverance and am always striving to move forwards’ ‘It’s important to me that every single person who comes into the shop is welcomed’ ‘It’s about trial and error and having the confidence to say it's not working out and move on’   VALUABLE RESOURCES Liz & Fitz website ABOUT THE HOST Traci Cornelius is a Speaker, Business Coach, Mindset Coach and Mum to 5 Girls. ‘You need to be brave in your authenticity and when you do this your success will increase’  In this episode, Traci is exploring how being authentic is the vital element we have as entrepreneurs. She explains how authenticity and being purpose centric can help you in a saturated sector. Listen in to hear this engaging and informative  podcast now   KEY TAKEAWAYS How do you stay authentic as an entrepreneur? You are unique, we are all unique in our own way, you will have your own perception and way in which you will inspire others. We can share the same information with others but do it in our own way. The most success I’ve had in business has been when I have relaxed and been myself. People respect and want others to be authentic. Being purpose centric is about remaining authentic but ensuring that the message is delivered in a customer-focused way. Being authentic is about being confident yourself. Having confidence can be a challenge for entrepreneurs but we do have confidence in the product or service we are offering. You are an original, model yourself on someone else but understand you can empower and be inspirational in your own authentic way. There are numerous and different avenues to get your voice out there and there are many different mediums you can use. Being authentic means standing in your space and being unapologetic about it. Being open and letting others see the flaws that you have. Sharing all of those moments and allowing yourself to share aspects of yourself that are less than perfect is what makes you authentic and unique.   BEST MOMENTS ‘This is just how this happens to be, anything is possible whatever you are going through and sharing this with others is empowering for you and them’ ‘We are all on a learning path we are discovering in business and our lives all the time’ ‘Originals are worth so much more than any copy’ ‘We get trapped into thinking others have the most perfect life’   ABOUT THE HOST Traci Cornelius is a Speaker, Business Coach, Mindset Coach and Mum to 5 Girls. ‘Maybe what I’m doing is all wrong’ There are times when all entrepreneurs are not able to get what they want and in these times it can be easy to make big changes when what is really required are small changes that will help you to understand and communicate more effectively with your clients Traci explores and provides practical advice on how you can make changes that will bring you the success you want, listen in now to find out more.   KEY TAKEAWAYS There are points in business where everything can be a struggle and you can’t get to where you want to be. At times like this there is a tendency to make big changes when what is required are small changes that help you to understand your audience. It’s not that what you have to offer isn’t valuable, it can be that you are not communicating that value to your prospective clients. They are not seeing the value because you are not talking their language. You need to know what problem you are solving, how you are solving it and how easy is it for the client to understand that in your marketing message. You should be purpose centric - ensuring that you are leading the businesses purpose from the clients perspective. There is a lot of noise across social media platforms so how are you going to stand out? The key is to create relationships with your prospective client and customer. You need to nurture and create more touch points in the journey. This requires more effort but usually results in a better client or customer who will remain with you over time. If you make too many big changes it can be difficult to understand what has made the difference. Making small changes means you can analyse what is working and how your clients feel. What value are you providing so your prospective client can get to know you better? People don’t buy when they understand you they buy when you understand them. The’ know’,’ like’ and ‘trust’ factors are key in the process. It is easy to get emotionally attached to your business but having an open policy of listening to customers is a positive way to influence the marketing of your message. Listening to those who help within your business provides a valuable and different insight because they work in differing areas and can offer different perspectives. What messaging are you putting out there is it client centric? Is it using your clients language? Is it easy to identify what you are offering? If they don’t understand the value they won’t be buying.   BEST MOMENTS ‘Surveying is a really good way of understanding your prospective client and the language they are using’ ‘Step inside your clients shoes how would they describe what is going on around them’ ‘You are putting all this effort into marketing and not seeing the results’ ‘‘Your brain is a puzzle solver’   VALUABLE RESOURCES Dare to Lead book by Brene Brown Women Rockin Business Podcast   ABOUT THE HOST Traci Cornelius is a Speaker, Business Coach, Mindset Coach and Mum to 5 Girls.
