Mills Nutrients founder Mike built a top-5 global cannabis brand from the streets of Amsterdam. Here is how he actually did it.Mike from Mills Nutrients grew up in the center of Amsterdam, skateboarding behind trams, hustling in the red light district, with a father and grandfather who were bouncers. After Dutch Green Beret service and 5 years in the Foreign Legion, he came home, started growing, and saw a problem: the nutrients market was overcomplicated, confusing, and nobody had simplified it for the people actually using it. In 2010 he built Mills Nutrients, went broke 3 times along the way, and eventually built one of the top-5 cannabis fertilizer brands in the world, operating across 5 continents. In this episode, recorded live at Mary Jane Berlin, JP sits down with Mike for a conversation that covers how the Dutch cannabis industry actually got its start (Americans taught them, not the other way around), what it took to crack the US market from Holland with no connections and no money, why Mills deliberately stayed small while competitors scaled up and burned out, and the story of chartering 2 KLM Boeing 747 cargo planes during the COVID port lockdown to make sure his customers never ran dry. The episode also gets into the new Mills Salads dry nutrient powder line, what 94% team retention actually looks like in practice, and what Mike would tell his younger self the day before he jumped into the game. This is what Good PizzZa is built to document: the operators who built something real, the decisions that looked crazy at the time, and the culture behind the brand that nobody covers in the trade press.CHAPTERS00:00 JP Intro: Recording Live at Mary Jane Berlin01:35 East Berlin History and the Mary Jane Show Origins 03:57 Growing Up in Amsterdam: Streets, Skateboarding, Red Light District 05:18 Dutch Green Berets, Foreign Legion, and Finding Cannabis 05:47 Who Actually Invented Indoor Cannabis Hydroponics 06:53 The Idea Behind Mills: 4 Color-Coded Bottles for Stoners 08:19 Mills Nutrients Founded in 2010 and Early European Struggles 09:14 From 2 Pallets to Containers: Cracking the California Market 10:07 Where the Name Mills Comes From: Dutch Windmills and Delft Blue 13:54 Grove Bags Sponsor Read 14:18 California as the Center of the Cannabis Universe 16:55 Building a Loyal Small Team: 94% Retention and Family Culture 19:23 Staying Small on Purpose: Agility as a Competitive Strategy 20:33 New Mills Salads Dry Nutrient Powder Line: 4 Years in Development 22:49 Mills Organics Line and Keeping Plants Green Through Week 9 24:00 Why Small Batch Growers Are the Heart of the Culture 25:33 5 Continents: Global Expansion and South America Agro Projects 27:38 Giving Back: Supporting Small Grower Cups With No Strings Attached 28:51 Mills Salads Sponsor Read 29:27 Advice to Entrepreneurs: Military Discipline and Going Broke 3 Times 32:28 DNA Genetics Collab and the First Fertilizer-Seed Company Partnership 33:27 The COVID Cargo Plane Story: 2 Boeing 747s to Supply His Customers 35:23 How Mike Smokes: Flower, Old School Hash, and the First Dab Story 38:39 Strain Talk: White Widow, Tangie, and Desert Island Pick Enemy of the State 42:33 Mike's 5-Year Plan and the Question for the Next Guest 44:44 Closing Jewels: Believe in Yourself and Call MeConnect with Mills Nutrients: Website: millsnutrients.com Instagram: @mills_nutrientsFollow Good PizzZa: goodpizzza.com Instagram: @goodpizzza | @goodpizzzapodcast Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/2HHXF0ijATYi8eHIq0rDToApple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/good-pizzza-podcast/id1622059263Y'all know what time it is…Roll em fat, torch your rigs, pack your bongs, bag up some work, water your plants, do what you gotta do because we're about to take this journey with Mike From Mills Nutrients!✌

Send us Fan Mail The world keeps speeding up. Notifications, deadlines, performance pressure, the constant pull outward into screens. Most of us know the cost is creeping in somewhere, even when we cannot quite name it. The body whispers first. Then it shouts. In this episode, guest-host Sana sits with Shaun Mader, founder of Friction to Flow Consulting, former media producer turned leadership strategist who has spent more than two years across his life living in Indian ashrams and silent retreats. They explore what really happens to the mind when stimulation is endless, why our devices are quietly competing for the last unmined territory, our attention, and how reclaiming the parasympathetic nervous system through breath, movement, journaling, and presence can return us to ourselves. Honest, layered, and quietly powerful. About the Guest: Shaun Mader is the founder of Friction to Flow Consulting and creator of the Teamware™ and Team Flow Architecture™ frameworks. He spent 15 years as a film producer and photographer in New York, working with celebrities and documenting humanitarian projects, including long-form work in Kolkata's Red Light District where he runs a US-based nonprofit. Across the same years, he lived between media production and Indian ashrams, studying yoga, meditation, and Vipassana, eventually healing his own chronic pain and migraines. Today he advises leaders and teams on navigating complexity, building trust, and shifting from reactivity to clarity. Key Takeaways: Notice the waters you swim in. The modern attention economy is incentivized to be more provocative, polarizing, and emotionally driven, your discomfort is often the system working as designed. Our last unmined territory is the mind. The same way colonisation moved through land and resources, it now moves through attention, our phones become a kind of digital opium. The internal world is where healing happens. Learning to access the parasympathetic nervous system, through breath, meditation, yoga, walking, journaling, is the most universal tool we have for clarity. Practices can become another performance trap. Doing yoga or meditation to "be better" or "fix yourself" misses the point; the real mastery is letting yourself be present without a future ambition attached to it. Devices only transmit through two senses. If you let your whole life run through audio and visual, you miss the tactile, embodied, interpersonal richness that actually makes life feel like life. ER nurse Lori Price and dentist Dr. Valerie Preston join host Dr. Mike Chupp to share about their experience co-leading a Global Health Outreach (GHO) mission team to Bangkok's red light district in 2025, one of the darkest centers of human trafficking in the world. After serving together on previous trips to places like Tanzania and Ecuador, Lori and Valerie reflect on what it looked like to step into such a heavy and broken environment. They discuss trauma-informed care, the reality of spiritual warfare, and the challenge of faithfully planting seeds they may never see grow. Through providing medical and dental care to nearly 300 women in Bangkok, their team witnessed how simple acts of service can open the door to share the hope and love of Christ. This is a powerful conversation about faithfulness in hard places and bringing light into the darkest corners of the world.

VIODRE is an enigmatic project formed in 2001 by Bryan Gilroy, Jared Turinsky, and Ryan Horn, known for a surreal and elusive discography on labels such as Hospital Productions, Cathartic Process, and Kalifornia Love Addiction. After years of near-silence, their recent return has carried the same unsettling, dream-charged energy that defined their early work, continuing to push their sound into strange and evocative territory. This interview was conducted at Red Light District in Far Rockaway, NY, shortly before their performance.Full episode at https://www.patreon.com/whitecentipedenoiseShop WCN label and distro: https://whitecentipedenoise.com/Support the show
To celebrate the 400th episode of Holly Randall Unfiltered, I sat down with Kitana Montana—a bold, inked, and unapologetically dominant performer whose journey from Argentina to Amsterdam to Vegas is anything but ordinary. A former tattoo artist turned international sex goddess, Kitana shares how she discovered porn through her mother, her early days in the Red Light District, her love of femdom and exhibitionism, and how a single submissive client changed everything. From wild fan requests to shocking gang bangs, Kitana holds nothing back. She's fierce, funny, and ready to take over as a director herself. Don't miss this milestone episode with one of the most powerful women in porn—and don't forget to watch the uncut version with bonus Q&A exclusively on Patreon. https://www.patreon.com/c/hollyrandallunfiltered Follow KItana - https://www.instagram.com/kitana.montana1?igsh=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ== Find all my socials - Hollylinks.com _____________________________________________________________________Support our show by supporting our sponsors! The podcast schedule structure has been happily altered, so here's the latest from Amsterdam, the Rhine, boarding the Viking River boat, nice family time, no hot weather weather, music, big smies, and even a little baseball. All aboard for some fun!
The far more censored version of the award-winning and unparalleled "A Mediocre Time with Tom and Dan." - "A Corporate Time" is a daily companion and terrestrial radio show heard nationally on iHeartRadio. It's silly.
Tom Rhodes is big in the Netherlands. Not literally. You'd have to be like seven feet tall to be considered big there. But he is popular. And he knows better than to visit the Red Light District because it's bad for your honor, or whatever. I guess Dutch people are kind of like Klingons.DISCLAIMER: Any promos, giveaways, or similar heard in Lost Episodes are no longer guaranteed to be valid. Between 1860 and 1925, tens of thousands of women worked in Dublin's Monto, the largest red light district in Europe. It was a world of narrow alleyways full of brothels busy with sex workers, at a time when the Catholic church was trying to establish ideas around what a woman should be. Hint: it was very different to the women of Monto. What was life like for the women who lived and worked in Monto? How did these 'poor unfortunates', as they were known, create a community and support each other amidst such hard times? And how did they influence fashion trends of the time?Joining Kate today is the fantastic Caroline West, author of Wrong Women: Selling Sex in Monto, Dublin's Forgotten Red Light District, which is available now. This episode was edited by Tom Delargy and produced by Stuart Beckwith. Several years ago I did an episode or two with the Historic New Orleans Collection about the Storyville red light district. They had an excellent small exhibit about Storyville. Well now, there is a whole museum dedicated to Storyville. I'm joined today by the museum's founder and curator, Claus Sadlier.
