On the afternoon of April 26th, 2010, 16-year-old Alexandria Joy Lowitzer, or Ali as she was known, got off of her school bus across from her home in Spring, Texas. Ali, a sophomore at Spring High School, wanted to walk up to her new workplace, The Burger Barn. She had a paycheck to collect and she told her mom she might be able to pick up a shift that afternoon. Her mom, Jo Ann, was reluctant because Ali had only been working there a few weeks and she hadn't walked there before. Ali pleaded with her mom until she gave in. Two boys got off the bus with Ali and noticed she lagged behind, not walking as she usually would towards her home, but going the opposite way, out of the neighbourhood in the direction of the Burger Barn. Ali didn't make it to The Burger Barn and was never seen or heard from again. The sun was barely starting to go down on the Summer evening in 1961 when Michael Gregsten and Valerie Storie pulled off the road into the cornfield at Dorney Reach, Buckinghamshire. They frequently went parking there — or “trysting” as was often said at the time. Sometimes others had the same idea, but on this particular Tuesday evening it was just them and the faint sound of cars passing along the road behind. They sat in the grey Morris Minor for half an hour, smoking and chatting without the faintest idea that anyone else was there. It was the tapping on the drivers side window that startled them (Part 1 of 2).*** LISTENER CAUTION IS ADVISED AS THIS EPISODE CONTAINS ADULT THEMES AND DESCRIPTIONS THAT SOME LISTENERS MAY FIND DISTRESSING *** Researched and Written by Anna Priestland - http://www.agpstories.com/Order our new book ‘They Walk Among Us’ here: https://bit.ly/2BZ5STRMore information can be found on our website at http://theywalkamonguspodcast.com For early advert free access and other extras visit: https://www.patreon.com/TheyWalkAmongUs MUSIC: Global Warming by Kai EngelHarbor by Kai EngelImminence by Kai EngelCold War Echo by Kai EngelOneiri by Kai EngelSeeker by Kai EngelPlague by Kai EngelSalue by Kai EngelMercy by Kai EngelMeekness by Kai EngelEvermore by Kai EngelChance by Kai EngelPurchase the tracks by Kai Engel here: https://kaiengel.bandcamp.com/All music sourced from http://freemusicarchive.org and used under an Attribution License - http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/ YOU CAN FOLLOW US VIA OUR SOCIAL MEDIA PROFILES: Twitter - https://twitter.com/TWAU_PodcastFacebook - https://www.facebook.com/theywalkamonguspodcast/ Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/theywalkamonguspodcast/ Acast - https://www.acast.com/theywalkamongus See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

Sailors watched the murky water below as the ship got closer to port, and in the water, close to the side of the ship, they noticed something bobbing around on the surface.Hauling it out, they found a bloated body, still wearing a jacket and trousers. There were no feet attached, and sticking out from the collar of the jacket— a skull, stripped of all flesh and hair, no eyes, just bone. What they had uncovered that night was the dark side of Brighton, and a small town harbour full of crustaceans that had been feeding on human flesh.
