Tuvia Tenenbom, theatre director, playwright, author, academic and unapologetic, uncompromising Jew. For six months in 2019, he travelled the length and breadth of Britain, uncovering “a deep psychological Jew hate”. He believes the Jewish community’s in denial - just as they are in Poland, where he also gives examples. His UK experiences make up the fifth book in a series, which was released towards the end of 2019. He spoke to many voices in British Jewry and found a refusal to admit to the extent of antisemitism. He says, "I feel like a plumber, clearing out the sewage. I don't want to do antisemitism - but I have to." Tuvia believes that if Jews hide their identity, they face extinction. He says Israel needs to be cherished, it's the future but losing it would spell the end of Jewish life in the world - but for a few isolated Chasidim. I met him in the week he visited a pub in Derry, Northern Ireland, creating world headlines as the regulars openly told him, “Hitler hadn’t finished the job”. The idea was to review "Annhialation" and we partially succeded in doing so, although Shark didn't get to see it. What initially looked like a promising sci-fi mindbender, proved to be a disappoinitning and confusing mess. All the suspense leads to an ending that can best be described as cross between the endings of "2001: A Space Odyssey" and "Black Swan". If that combination sounds nonsensical to you, you are absolutely not wrong. Like the bioforms in Annhilation, our conversation metastasizes into a myriad colorful topics - basically a rundwon of who is watching what, currently. In a follow up to the last episode and discussion on Hell in this episode we'll take another look at, another, possible theory on Hell, Annihilationism-though some have called it Conditionalism.    We are joined by Dr. John Stackhouse; he was educated in history and religious studies at Mount Carmel Bible School at Queen’s University in Ontario, Wheaton College Graduate School in Illinois, and The University of Chicago (Ph.D.).   Formerly a professor of European history at Northwestern College in Iowa, a professor of religion at the University of Manitoba, and the Sangwoo Youtong Chee Professor of Theology and Culture at Regent College (University of British Columbia), he now serves Crandall University in Moncton, New Brunswick, as the Samuel J. Mikolaski Professor of Religious Studies and Dean of Faculty Development.   John is the author of ten books, the editor of four more, serves on the editorial board for Christianity today, and is the author of over 700 articles, book chapters, and reviews in academic publications, major newspapers, and magazines. His writings range over history, sociology, philosophy, theology, ethics, and comparative religion. He has spoken throughout North America, in the United Kingdom, and in China, India, Israel, Korea, Malaysia, Australia, and New Zealand. We had the opportunity to talk with George Kollias, the drummer of Nile and one of the best drummers in extreme metal. He was recently awarded the "Best Extreme Drummer of 2016" award from Drummies Artists Awards and Drum! Magazine, he has played with many bands as a studio drummer, teaches drums, performs many drumming clinics and even wrote his own solo death metal album in which he wrote and played all the instruments including vocals titled "Invictus". When you take 70-bajillion characters with vague powers and zero characterization, toss in a very poorly cast James Remar who manages to act worse than Christopher Lambert, sprinkle with crappy, boring fight scenes with a side of the worst special effects ever, and then finish off with completely removing any bit of "Mortal Kombating" while still calling it Mortal Kombat, you've built a movie worthy of being called one of the worst movies of all time. Mortal Kombat: Annhiliation deserves to be in the IMDB Bottom 100, should have swept the Razzie awards and deserves to be mentioned alongside Birdemic and Manos: The Hands of Fate. It is a truly awful and painful film to view. The acting is terrible, the directing is terrible, the writing is terrible, the choregraphy is terrible, the set design is terrible, the music is terrible, the costumes are terrible, and so on a so forth. Despite all of this, the primary problem with this film is none of these. The problem is that it is painfully boring. While all of these bad qualities are worth laughing at in other bad films, these can't over come how bored you are as a viewer of seeing nothing happen for an hour and a half. Our very best recommendation is to NOT watch this film. It's not worth viewing for any reason. The good news is that it didn't even get nominated for a Razzie NOR is it in the IMDB Bottom 100. So a bad movie historian or tourist of Razzies and IMDB Bottom 100 have no reason to watch this. We open the episode with Sportcenter's coverage of the Mortal Kombat association vs. the Mortal Kombat Players Association legal battle over injuries in the sport. We get ready to experience the "watchable crap" called Mortal Kombat: Annihilation, the sequel to the massively successful Mortal Kombat (1995). Is there a chance that it could possibly be not a giant turd and as much fun as the first one? Odds are not good with it's 11 Metacritic score. We are now able to finish our total review from the debacle that was our episode that got cut short thanks to bad Internetting.
