Reader: Bek Hudson Preacher: Jonathan Smith Recalling the big picture message from the first week, we are ordinary people empowered by the Holy Spirit to witness to the Lord Jesus to the ends of the earth. In today's message from Acts 3, we see Peter & John heal a man who was lame from birth. Peter and John are imitating what Jesus did - healing people in the power of The Holy Spirit. Peter then explains to everybody how and why this was able to happen. From our perspective this event shows us three important and fundamental things: 1. The forgiveness of all sins; 2. The restoration of all things; 3. The salvation of all peoples. Pastor Jonathan expounds and explores on each of these principles. Red Door is an Anglican Church in Melbourne, Australia. We exist to be a community of people helping people make all of life all about Jesus.

John discusses Trump's big beautiful grift trip to the middle east extorting personal wealth from some of the most evil dictators on the planet. He also talks about the Supreme Court telling the Trump Administration to hold their horses, extending the judicial freeze on deportations under the pretense of the Alien Enemies Act. Plus, House Republicans rejected the Trump Big Budget Bill before it could even leave committee. The bill, they say, does not contain enough cuts to spending and Medicaid. Then, he welcomes back award-winning investigative journalist Bob Hennelly to share what's at stake if dockworkers go on strike, plus the latest on New York City's history-making mayor - Eric Adams. Then closing it up, TV's Frank Conniff returns to joke about Star Wars and Trump.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Zach walks through Acts 3 where we see Peter and John engage with a beggar and then preach the gospel to the crowd that gathers. From this we see the way we too must engage with those who are on the margins and also what we must include when we share the gospel.

"First, that fez and vest combo is much too third-century. These patches. What are we trying to say? Beggar? No. Let's work with me here." We watched the Disney animated classic “Aladdin," and we wish we could go back and watch it again for the first time. We've seen this movie countless times, and Robin Williams' unforgettable performance as Genie still makes us laugh to this day. We also have to talk about the power couple Aladdin and Jasmine. Aladdin was the first crush of many little queer boys across the land, and we all wanted to be Princess Jasmine (that hair!). Let's face it, this movie is FULL of queer representation - from the Genie's fierce impressions to Jafar mincing around the Agrabah Palace. And don't worry - we talk about the phenomenon that is #Jafarina (look it up). This movie is a bona fide classic, and maybe we're still singing "A Whole New World" in our heads, and maybe we're (definitely) singing Jasmine's solo. Send us a textOn this week's episode, we dig into the the forth album by the band the National, 2007's Boxer. The National is a band, literally, of brothers (two pairs) and a friend all from Ohio that formed after all parties moved to New York. From the get go, the band's music leaned heavily on and atmospheric and stood out due to the deep baritone vocals of lead singer and lyricist Matt Berninger. After slowly but steadily building up a following, Boxer, their second album on the Beggar's Banquet label, was the band's breakthrough LP. Its full of melancholy songs about relationships and existential struggles about being an adult. The album received widespread critical acclaim, and was included in many end of year "Best Of" lists for 2007, topping several of them, and is often mentioned as one of the best album of the 2010s.
