Send us Fan MailWhat if God didn't cause the worst thing that happened to you—but refuses to waste it? In this episode, we open Romans 8 and tackle one of the most misunderstood ideas in Christianity: “God works all things together for good.” We'll talk honestly about suffering, why slapping “God is in control” on someone's pain can do real damage, and why nothing—no accident, no failure, no dark season—can separate you from the love of God in Christ. If you've ever wondered, “Where is God in this?” this message is for you.Support the show
Christian motivation, obedience to God, and living in love—this powerful sermon reveals how following God in everything you do is simple in truth, yet challenging in practice for every believer seeking spiritual growth. This message breaks down a foundational truth in Christianity: God's will can be summarized in one command—follow Him. While the Bible contains many teachings, they all point back to obedience to God and living a life rooted in love (Matthew 22:37).Following God means choosing His way daily, even when it's difficult. Christian living, discipleship, and spiritual growth all require action, not just belief. Scripture makes it clear that obedience unlocks blessing and alignment with God's purpose (Deuteronomy 28:1).The sermon connects this idea to the truth that God is love. If you act in love in every situation, you are following Him. This is the heart of biblical teaching and the key to living a Christ-centered life that reflects His character (1 John 4:8).Yet while this principle is simple, it is not easy. The narrow path requires discipline, humility, and surrender. Choosing love over pride, obedience over comfort, and faith over fear is what makes following God both challenging and transformative (Matthew 6:33).Viewers are encouraged to stop waiting and start doing. Being a doer of the Word means applying Scripture in everyday life—at work, at home, and in relationships. Faith becomes real when it is lived out through consistent obedience and trust in God's promises (James 1:22).The message also highlights God's provision. When you follow Him fully, He promises to meet your needs and provide according to His glory. This truth builds faith and reminds believers to rely on God, not themselves (Philippians 4:19).Ultimately, this sermon calls believers to embrace their identity as ambassadors for Christ. By living in love and obedience, you become a reflection of Jesus to the world, demonstrating His truth, power, and grace through your life (2 Corinthians 5:20).Referenced Verses:Matthew 22:37Deuteronomy 28:11 John 4:8Matthew 6:33Philippians 4:19Psalms 34:10James 1:222 Corinthians 5:20-Social Media Ministries, founded by Spencer Coffman, is committed to sharing the Word of God with the entire world. The Covenant Necessity of Judgment in Scripture | KIB 532 Kingdom Intelligence Briefing Description What does the Bible REALLY teach about judgment? In Episode 531 of the Kingdom Intelligence Briefing, Dr. Michael and Mary Lou Lake explore a critical truth that much of the modern Church avoids: judgment is not separate from covenant — it is part of covenant. From Genesis to Revelation, Scripture reveals that God's judgments are not contradictions of His love, but manifestations of His covenant faithfulness, holiness, and justice. Dr. Lake takes a deep theological dive into the covenantal necessity of judgment, exposing how modern Christianity has embraced blessing without accountability, grace without holiness, and power without purification. Mary Lou shares a powerful word on God as our Sustainer — the One who preserves, nourishes, strengthens, and carries His remnant through every trial. Together, they discuss spiritual warfare, covenant fidelity, holiness, discernment, the coming purification of the Church, and the urgent need for the remnant to prepare for the days ahead. This is a sobering but hope-filled message for believers seeking truth, discernment, and covenant alignment with the Kingdom of God. In this episode: • The covenantal nature of divine judgment • Why grace does NOT remove accountability • How covenant and judgment work together in Scripture • The role of holiness in the last days • Why judgment begins in the house of God • The purification of the remnant • Spiritual warfare and covenant fidelity • The danger of counterfeit Christianity • God's sustaining power in difficult seasons • Revelation, Babylon, and covenant lawsuit theology • Why purification must precede power The remnant is being prepared. Now is the time to walk in truth, holiness, discernment, and covenant obedience.
Many believers begin their walk with God transactionally — loving God for what He can give rather than for who He is. But what happens when God begins dismantling false foundations through waiting, suffering, pruning, and wilderness seasons? In this deeply honest episode, we discuss transactional Christianity, spiritual maturity, suffering, obedience, and learning to make God the reward again.Featuring Hebrews 5:8 NKJV, personal reflections, biblical encouragement, and a call back to intimacy with God.
Grace was not given to us to continue to live in sin. This message emphasizes practical Christianity: God's correction, repentance, and the transformation of our lives through faith that bears fruit. Destiny requires integrity, self-control, and a born-again life that changes how we spend, speak, and serve.
In this in‑depth Bible teaching on Romans Chapter 2, we examine Paul's message to both Jews and Gentiles, confronting hypocrisy, false assurance, and the danger of hearing God's Word without obeying it. This lesson explains how God judges according to deeds, why religious identity alone does not save, and how true righteousness is lived out—not merely spoken.Drawing from Romans 2, James 1, Matthew 16, Revelation 20 & 22, Job, and the Gospels, this study highlights foundational truths of Christianity:• God's goodness leads to repentance• The Law reveals sin, but obedience reveals faith• Circumcision of the heart matters more than outward religion• Grace does not excuse unrighteous living• Believers are called to protect the holiness and reputation of God's churchThis teaching challenges modern faith‑only theology, emphasizing that faith must be accompanied by obedience, and that Christians must live in a way that honors God before the world.
Believers are to take heart in God's Word as our certain and sure reminder of His promise of the coming judgment and destruction of the ungodly
God's timing in executing judgment must not be understood as unfaithfulness
What God Calls Pure Christianity (And Why It's So Uncomfortable) What if much of what we call Christianity… God wouldn't call pure? In this powerful episode of The Rob Skinner Podcast, Rob explores the simple yet challenging definition of real faith found in James 1:27. When church culture, traditions, and labels are stripped away, Scripture reveals a clear picture of what God considers pure and faultless religion: Loving the vulnerable and living with a clean heart. Rob unpacks how early Christians transformed the world through radical compassion—serving the sick, the poor, and the forgotten—even at great personal cost. But James' message doesn't stop with outward action. True faith also requires guarding our inner life from the quiet spiritual pollution that can dull our devotion. This episode is a call to live with: Radical compassion toward those in need Personal purity in a culture that pulls us away from God Balanced faith that is both outwardly loving and inwardly clean Through personal stories, ministry reflections, and practical challenges, Rob invites you to examine: Who around you needs protection, encouragement, or help What habits or influences may be quietly polluting your heart How to live the kind of faith that God calls pure and faultless If you want a simple definition of a 10X Christian, this might be it: Love radically. Live purely. And that kind of faith doesn't just change you— it changes the world.
Click here for more on this topic and other free resources - https://www.drjimrichards.com Most people think resolutions fail because they lack discipline or motivation. The real reason is usually much deeper than that. A resolution is actually a form of repentance. It's simply changing your mind because you don't want your life going in the same direction anymore. One of the biggest reasons people quit is loss of confidence. Every time you start something and don't finish it, you train yourself to expect failure. Eventually, it doesn't matter how much you trust God. You won't trust yourself enough to follow through. I also address one of the most misunderstood ideas in Christianity: God's sovereignty. God is not controlling everything. He created you in His likeness and image, which means He gave you real authority and real responsibility. Your life is not determined by fate, DNA, or circumstances. You were created to make choices and create outcomes with God. This message is about becoming a co-creator with God and understanding how your heart beliefs are shaping the world around you right now. If you want resolutions that actually work, this foundation changes everything. Join me this week in CyberChurch and learn how we can become “Co-Creators With God”.
God has given us His truth so that we can walk in fellowship with Him

How Political Correctness Muzzles the Word of God With Tony Bruin on CogitationsIn this episode of Cogitations, Tony Bruin confronts the cultural lie that politeness should silence truth. Drawing from Matthew 11, 1 Corinthians 1, and Proverbs 29, Tony lays out how political correctness operates as a false moral system—redefining love as agreement and truth as aggression. Through biblical examples and real-world application, he challenges Christians to stop apologizing for the gospel and start proclaiming it with clarity and courage.

With its 9 to zero decision on Monday reversing Colorado’s removal of Donald Trump from the ballot, the United States Supreme Court schooled some Christian legal and policy organizations on how the Fourteenth Amendment works. And in doing so it exposed the “Hagar method” of legal advocacy they are employing to “protect” parental rights. Don’t be seduced by the promise this method holds out because God seems slack in His promises.

There is a need for practical Christianity in our journey in 2024. Points to remember from the sermon at Overture 2023 : - We're envoys of Christ.- We're resident representatives of heaven on earth.- We have the backing of heaven. Three aspects of practical Christianity God wants to emphasize in this new year:- Love- Power- Supernatural creativity. As you journey into 2024, let others come into the knowledge of Christ through you.
A decision by the U.S. Supreme Court in 1938 rejected the Christian understanding of the world and, therefore, it changed our understanding of law. David will explain the decision and give examples from his lobbying work to demonstrate how it helped change Christianity. It gave rise to what he calls “nominal Christianity.”

Luke is pointing out the major shift that’s happening in Christianity: God’s presence doesn’t dwell within the walls of the tabernacle or temple any longer – it’s come to take up residence in the new temple of Jesus’ body. The Holy Spirit now rests on the people of God. The Holy Spirit came upon the believers at Pentecost in a special way to empower them for their task of being Jesus' witnesses, starting in Jerusalem. John Stott says, “Before Christ sent the church into the world, he sent the Spirit into the church.” Miraculously speaking another language or performing miracles are not the end purpose of being filled with the Spirit. When the Holy Spirit came and filled these believers, they immediately began to glorify God by telling of His mighty works in Jesus. The emphasis of Pentecost is about people who are surrendering to the Spirit and who bear witness of God’s work through Jesus. The meaning of Pentecost is God equipping His church with the power of His Spirit so that He will be glorified among the nations.

Many people struggle with the idea that in Christianity God is both a God of love and of justice. They believe that a loving and forgiving God who accepts people into heaven can't also be a judging and sometimes angry God who sends others to hell. The way we think about God shapes who we become. Believe God to be all about judgment, you will likely become a judging person. Believe God to be fully loving, and you are more likely to become loving yourself.

The radical claim of Christianity: God became man. Why did He do it? Why did He suffer the Cross? He came to look for us, to find us, to fight for us and to rescue us from captivity. Full notes, video, and archive at https://blog.ctk.cc
http://bible.com/events/48982006 What We Believe (2)" Christian theology teaches the doctrine of prevenient grace, which, briefly stated, means that before a man can seek God, God must have first sought the man." A.W. Tozer, The Pursuit of God Over the next few weeks as a church we are going to explore what we believe, a few of the key doctrines and concepts of scripture, that shape our life individually as well as our life together as the Church. Together we want to get a clearer picture of the nature of our faith as the Church of the Nazarene, not just to gain knowledge, but to value the freedom and joy found in living out the way of Jesus of Nazareth. Welcome to our series “What We Believe” Today we are looking at: PREVENIENT GRACE This belief based upon the Scriptures sets Christianity apart from other world religions. Christianity = God has moved first towards us, longing for our response World Religions = We must move first towards god (the gods) + hopefully they will respond in a gracious way Enabling Universal Resistible Ephesians 2:1-5 As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath. But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. G.R.A.C.E Gods Riches At Christ Expense Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 2:4 John Arnold “Wesleyans are utterly pessimistic about human nature and outrageously optimistic about God's grace. We must never confuse the two. Optimism about grace is not optimism about man. Without God's grace, we are helpless to make any move towards God. Any desire or ability to do what is right comes from God as a free gift. From beginning to end, the Wesleyan watchword is grace, grace, grace. Nothing is man-centered. God gets all the glory for our salvation.” By grace you are saved, through faith. Because God sought you first. CHARLES SPURGEON “Remember, that God is not the God of uniformity, though he is of union and peace. He may lead you at once into joy and peace, as Nathanael, who said as soon as he saw Christ, “Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel.” God may, and doubtless has been blessing you through his grace from your birth; but he needs not to plunge you many days in the cold, dark waters of conviction, to wash away your sin: the blood of Christ at once can cleanse from all sin, if you confide your soul to him. Believe, therefore, and you are at once justified and at peace with God.” WHAT WILL YOUR RESPONSE BE TO HIS COMPASSIONATE PURSUING GRACE TODAY? Matthew 1:18-1518 This is how the birth of Jesus the Messiah came about[d]: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be pregnant through the Holy Spirit. 19 Because Joseph her husband was faithful to the law, and yet did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly.20 But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. 21 She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus,[f] because he will save his people from their sins.”22 All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: 23 “The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel” (which means “God with us”).24 When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took Mary home as his wife. 25 But he did not consummate their marriage until she gave birth to a son. And he gave him the name Jesus.
