Over 20 cars had their windows smashed, and belongings were stolen from within the vehicles. The gated community lacks surveillance cameras, and residents are unsure if the culprits resided there. Stolen credit cards were allegedly used to purchase firearms, ammunition, and gift cards, causing concern among residents. Police officers from Gwinnett responded to investigate the incidents, but no official statements have been made regarding the matter. He aims to continue working on public safety, quality of life enhancements, and raising property values for homeowners. The city will hold its election on November 7, with three City Council seats and the mayoral office up for voting. Mayor Mason's campaign kickoff is scheduled for June 29 at Kettlerock Brewing. He highlighted achievements such as the city marshal program, license plate reader cameras, Curiosity Lab, and the redevelopment of The Forum. His goals for the next term include walkability improvements, housing redevelopment, property improvement projects, and revitalizing Holcomb Bridge Road's business corridor. Story 3:  anderby Anderby Brewing and Distilling, a craft brewery based in Peachtree Corners, Gwinnett County, has announced that it will permanently close on July 3. Despite being one of the early members of Gwinnett's craft brewery scene, Anderby has struggled to sustain itself financially. The owners expressed gratitude to their supporters and shared plans for events leading up to the closure, including a painting event and other customer appreciation elements. They also emphasized their appreciation for their dedicated team. Anderby's closure will leave Gwinnett County with 12 breweries, with four of them located in the Peachtree Corners and Norcross area.   we'll be right back   Break 2:  M.O.G. - Tom Wages - then Obits   STORY 4: mccormick   U.S. Representative Rich McCormick, a Republican from Georgia whose congressional district includes northwest Gwinnett, has introduced the Aviation Weather Improvement Act to encourage the National Weather Service (NWS) to utilize new data for aviation weather modeling. The bill, part of the Weather Reauthorization Package, would require the NWS to incorporate "better commercially available data" in their aviation weather models. McCormick, a former Marine aviator, emphasizes the importance of accurate weather information for flight safety and aims to provide pilots with the best information for their flight plans. The bill also seeks to ensure that the government offers real-time turbulence data to support American businesses.   Story 5: seckinger   Seckinger High School has appointed new head coaches for boys cross country, boys track and field, and boys lacrosse for the upcoming 2023-24 school year. Matt King, who previously coached at Dacula, will lead the boys cross country program, while David Seawright will head the boys track and field program. The new boys lacrosse coach is David Lake. Coach King has achieved success at Dacula, including several runner-up finishes in the region for boys cross country and a girls team that won the 2021 region title. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Seckinger and will also assist with the track and field program. The school is excited to have these experienced coaches leading and developing their new programs.     Story 6: buford   The Buford High football team, known for its success in previous seasons, is experiencing a busy spring and summer recruiting period. With a talented roster, including top recruits in Georgia and nationally, college coaches have taken notice. The team's head coach, Bryant Appling, mentioned that around 60-70 college coaches have visited so far, and the number is expected to surpass the usual average of 115-120 coaches. Handling the influx of coaches while preparing for spring practice is a challenge, but Buford's coaching committee, led by recruiting coordinator Coach Davis, manages the process. Several players from Buford have received multiple scholarship offers, and they are now preparing for on-campus visits over the summer. One notable recruit is Eddrick Houston, a five-star defensive lineman ranked among the top 15 players nationally.     Story 7: nembhard   Dacula's Dana Nembhard had an impressive track and field season as a junior, expanding her repertoire to include the triple jump and long jump alongside the high jump. She excelled in all three events, winning the county high jump championship and triple jump at the county level. In the Class 7A state championships, she emerged victorious in both the high jump and triple jump, setting personal records along the way. Nembhard's outstanding performances, which included multiple first-place finishes, earned her recognition as the Daily Post's Girls Field Performer of the Year. She described her season as one of her best, highlighting her state championships and personal record in the high jump. Coach King has built the program from the ground up and has been at Akron for close to 16 years now. Coach King is also on the board of directors at NOGA as of last year.They talked about local collegiate golf, women's golf, growing the game of women's golf and her time at Kentucky and now Akron.

1. It is a VERY exciting time to be a Jacksonville Jaguars fan. Not only do the Jaguars possess the #1 overall pick in the draft (which they will use to select Trevor Lawrence, arguably the most coveted QB prospect since Andrew Luck), they have four picks in the top-50 alone. Should the Jags get two immediate contributors to go alongside Trevor Lawrence in this draft, could they contend for a wild card playoff spot (if not the AFC South title) this season? 2. Trevor Lawrence’s recent interview with Sports Illustrated’s Michael Rosenberg has drawn quite some scrutiny. I personally disagree that the comments Lawrence himself made were a red flag, but if there was one small concern I had from Rosenberg’s piece, it was Joey King, Trevor Lawrence’s high school football coach, saying that Trevor Lawrence would “be fine” if he quit playing football tomorrow. If you’re the Jaguars, how much of a red flag, if any, would Coach King’s comments raise? 3. The Houston Texans not only have the worst roster in the entire NFL right now, they are arguably THE worst run franchise in all of pro sports. And another painful symbol that reflects both distinctions is them only having one pick in the entire top-100 in this draft…and it’s a pick that does not happen until early in the third round at 67 overall. What would be the most optimal way for first-year GM Nick Caserio and rookie head coach David Culley to approach this draft? 4. When it comes to the Colts, they are a team that is not particularly great at one single thing, but very good at many (if not) most things. They are rolling the dice on Carson Wentz to help them take the next big step forward, but they need help elsewhere as well. What should the Colts main priorities be in the draft? 5. As far as the Titans are concerned, most mock drafts have them addressing that gaping hole at edge rusher in the first round. That said, the Titans passing attack took a bit of a hit in free agency with the departure of Jonnu Smith and Corey Davis. Do you think the Titans will seriously consider an offensive playmaker at 22, or do you think it’s pretty much “EDGE or bust” for them? 6. Today’s episode is a double feature! Before taking a brief break, I am releasing two interviews from this week. My first guest today is Chris Hope, the founder of the 100 Coffee Movement and my second guest is Jennifer King, assistant Coach with the Washington Redskins and one of only a handful of female coaches in the NFL. Let’s start with Chis. In 2016 Chris Hope set a goal of sitting down with 100 strangers, in 100 weeks, one 100 cups of coffee. Over two years, Chris met 100 new people for coffee and recently he gave a TEDx talk he called, “What 100 Coffees taught me about human connection.” Chris reached out to me via LinkedIn before he gave his talk as he came across my 50 cups of coffee challenge. Since then he has started the 100 Coffee Movement to help people, organizations and communities build healthy connections to tackle the problems of loneliness and social isolation. Chris is based out of Melbourne, Australia and so I was planning on interviewing him via Zoom from the start and this time of social distancing made it an ideal time to have this chat. In this interview Chris talks about how his team is doing their part during this COVID-19 crisis and for me it was almost comforting to chat with a guy half way across the globe experiencing the exact same thing we are here in America. We are truly all in this together. After Chris I chat with Jennifer King. Jennifer has played 11 seasons in the Women’s Football Alliance and is a 7 time All-American. Yes she is a female professional football player. In 2013 Jennifer King led her team to an undefeated season and won the Independent Women’s Football League Championship. In addition to being a professional football player, Jennifer was a college basketball coach for over 10 years before joining the staff of Coach Ron Rivera of the Carolina Panthers in 2018 as a coaching intern. After that internship Coach King joined the Dartmouth College football staff as the offensive assistant, where she won the 2019 Ivy League championship and today Coach King is back with Coach Rivera as a coaching intern with the Washington Redskins. To many, Coach King is a pioneer for women in professional football as the first full-season African American female coach in the NFL.

With the new year comes new decisions and commitments to better thyself; or if you decide to carry on with the status quo, then this episode will create the setting to make changes to "not so good" status quo behaviors. Coaches Anthony and Rod were here to discuss their philosophy about health and human behavior: fitness therapy if you will. Matt King is the head men’s basketball coach at Sandra Day O’Connor High School in Phoenix, Arizona. Coach King has been the head coach at O’Connor for four seasons. During that time, the program has grown into one of the top 10 programs in the highest class in the state of Arizona. Before living in Phoenix, Coach King was the head coach at Clovis High School in Clovis, NM. During his three years in Clovis the Wildcats went to the 5A final four and the 5A state championship game. Coach King serves the director of basketball for STARS, a multi-sport youth program, where over 2500 kids from 5-14 years old participate annually in the Phoenix area. Through his involvement in the youth basketball world Coach has become extensively involved in USA Basketball’s youth development division where he has served as a coach academy speaker, lead clinician, youth clinic director, skill development curriculum writer and now a member of the Leadership Education Initiative. Coach has also worked with the Jr. NBA and USA Basketball in writing the youth guidelines for basketball within the United States and he currently serves as the president of the Arizona Basketball Coaches Association. Additionally, Coach King is one of the directors at Snow Valley Basketball School in Waverly, Iowa which is largely considered the best youth basketball teaching camp in America. Coach is married to wife Michelle and has two daughters Mikayla and Madison.
