Cameron Talbott is getting his first pro skate this week. What's crazy is that Cam is 37 years old, and while he was a sponsored am for a long time, he didn't achieve pro status until he was 25. While that's impressive, what's even more impressive are the hammers and creativity that define his skating. Not too bad for a kid who came up with nothing in Missoula, Montana. On the podcast, we talk about growing up with less, his badass mom, finding community in skating, SF, Valo, and so much more. It's a good one, with a double dose of Inappropriate Questions featuring Erick Garcia and Tom Hyser. History of the Bay Podcast Ep. 98: DB Tha General is regarded as one of the most influential rappers to come out of the Bay Area in the early 2000s, but also one of the most controversial. His competitive nature led to public disputes with other East Oakland rappers that crossed over into his music. DB has a strong love for Oakland culture, including the game of the 80s dope era, the militancy of the Black Panthers and BGF, and his own parents' upbringing in the streets. In this podcast episode, DB shares some personal stories for the first time and does a deep dive into his background and influences.--For promo opportunities on the podcast, e-mail: info@historyofthebay.com--History of the Bay Spotify Playlist: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/3ZUM4rCv6xfNbvB4r8TVWU?si=9218659b5f4b43aaOnline Store: https://dregsone.myshopify.com Follow Dregs One:Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/artist/1UNuCcJlRb8ImMc5haZHXF?si=poJT0BYUS-qCfpEzAX7mlAInstagram: https://instagram.com/dregs_oneTikTok: https://tiktok.com/@dregs_oneTwitter: https://twitter.com/dregs_oneFacebook: https://facebook.com/dregsone41500:00 Intro01:55 Controversy14:10 Oakland politics21:00 Bay Area speech22:54 Oakland history30:14 Bay Area rap styles35:39 Top 5 Oakland rappers39:26 BGF & African history48:45 Snitches and informants54:03 DB's parents & the streets58:50 Hyphy

History of the Bay Podcast Ep. 87: The Turf Feinz are a dance crew started in Oakland in the early 2000s that helped push the Bay Area style of turf dancing to the forefront. A famous video of them dancing in the rain in East Oakland went viral in 2009, helping push the group and the turfing style to an international audience. Since then, the Turf Feinz have appeared in videos for E-40, Too Short, Mac Miller, and most recently, Kendrick Lamar's "squabble up." On this episode, members Icecold3000 and Turf Kurry explain the origins and styles of turfing, its connection to the hyphy movement, and the experience of being part of a professional dance crew. -- History of the Bay Spotify Playlist: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/3ZUM4rCv6xfNbvB4r8TVWU?si=9218659b5f4b43aa Online Store: https://dregsone.myshopify.com Follow Dregs One: Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/artist/1UNuCcJlRb8ImMc5haZHXF?si=poJT0BYUS-qCfpEzAX7mlA Instagram: https://instagram.com/dregs_one TikTok: https://tiktok.com/@dregs_one Twitter: https://twitter.com/dregs_one Facebook: https://facebook.com/dregsone415 00:00 Introduction 02:19 Growing up in the Bay 05:23 Turf Feinz current roster 06:32 What is turfing? 12:51 The Turf Feinz look 17:00 History of Bay Area dance styles 26:00 How Icecold & Kurry discovered turfing 30:09 The Hyphy Movement 33:10 The business side 40:36 Hyphy anthems 45:04 Origins of the Turf Feinz 49:17 Dancing in the rain video 57:31 Kendrick “squabble up” video 1:12:28 Future goals 1:22:06 Dregs' perspective on turfing --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/historyofthebay/support
History of the Bay Podcast Ep. 85: Mistah F.A.B. has been at the center of the Bay Area hip-hop scene since he splashed on the scene as the Crown Prince of Hyphy in the early 2000s. Growing up in North Oakland, FAB's parents were in the street life but pushed him towards a different route. This led him to developing his talent as a rapper, putting out his first album "Nig-Latin" through Straight Hits Entertainment with Jazzy Jim and Gary Archer. This eventually led to him catching the attention of Mac Dre, and FAB's debut album "Son of a Pimp" dropped on Thizz Entertainment. This conversation about FAB's early career is like a history of Bay Area rap in itself, touching on artists like Andre Nickatina, The Jacka, Souls of Mischief, Too Short, Messy Marv, and many more. -- For promo opportunities on the podcast, e-mail: info@historyofthebay.com -- History of the Bay Spotify Playlist: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/3ZUM4rCv6xfNbvB4r8TVWU?si=9218659b5f4b43aa Online Store: https://dregsone.myshopify.com Follow Dregs One: Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/artist/1UNuCcJlRb8ImMc5haZHXF?si=poJT0BYUS-qCfpEzAX7mlA Instagram: https://instagram.com/dregs_one TikTok: https://tiktok.com/@dregs_one Twitter: https://twitter.com/dregs_one Facebook: https://facebook.com/dregsone415 00:00 Introduction 05:13 Fab's parents in the street life 14:52 Choosing not to get in the streets 20:10 North Oakland history 24:00 Starting to rap 31:59 Gary Archer & D-Ray 34:09 “Nig Latin” album 38:53 Meeting Mac Dre 46:37 Andre Nickatina 49:40 “Super Sick Wid It” 56:39 “Son of a Pimp” album 58:58 Kanye West, Wake Up Show 1:02:48 “Backpack rap;” Souls of Mischief 1:10:20 The Freestyle King 1:16:12 Freestyle battles 1:21:25 The New Bay & the Hyphy Movement 1:26:54 Messy Marv 1:33:02 Hyphy era hits 1:36:27 Getting banned from KMEL 1:46:07 Ghost Ride It video 1:49:57 The Jacka 1:57:45 Community work --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/historyofthebay/support

But she started with humble beginnings going through the foster care system in Oakland. Inspired by people from Missy Elliot to 2pac, Kamaiyah started writing poetry at a young age and eventually working with local rappers like DB The General and D-Lo. When she started dropping her own solo projects, this eventually led her to sign a record deal with YG's 4Hunnid Entertainment. Although she created hits for YG and Drake, and had an album in the works with Kehlani, she grew frustrated with the label situation and went independent. Now Kamaiyah continues to put out her projects independently and prove why she is one of the most unique voices in hip-hop today. --- History of the Bay Spotify Playlist: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/3ZUM4rCv6xfNbvB4r8TVWU?si=9218659b5f4b43aa Online Store: https://dregsone.myshopify.com Follow Dregs One: Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/artist/1UNuCcJlRb8ImMc5haZHXF?si=poJT0BYUS-qCfpEzAX7mlA Instagram: https://instagram.com/dregs_one TikTok: https://tiktok.com/@dregs_one Twitter: https://twitter.com/dregs_one Facebook: https://facebook.com/dregsone415 00:00 Intro 02:15 Musical influences 04:03 Growing up in foster care 15:41 Musical influences 20:52 The Hyphy movement 23:46 Recording with DB The General, D-Lo 25:29 “How Does It Feel” blowing up 31:49 Celebrities 35:42 Signing to YG 38:26 Album with Kehlani 40:49 Women in the music industry 44:28 Female rappers 51:06 Going independent --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/historyofthebay/support

Hyphy, the legendary youth culture movement from the Bay. Uptempo music, oversized airbrushed T-shirts, stunna shades and candy painted cars doing donuts in intersections. It was an unbridled, livewire, communal celebration. The people fueled the music, and the music moved the people. But beneath it all? That's where it gets real. Plus, a big story from a little boxer. STORIES Hyphy Kids Got Trauma from KQED This week on Snap, we have a special story to share from our friends at KQED's Rightnowish podcast– it's from host Pendarvis Harshaw's series, Hyphy Kids Got Trauma. In 2006, Pen was 18 going on 19, and he had a front row seat to one of the most notable times in Bay Area hip-hop history– a period often referred to as “the hyphy movement”. It was an era of uptempo-bass-heavy music, oversized airbrushed white t-shirts, candy painted cars and stunna shades. There was exuberant dancing, extravagant slang, and goofy party antics. While there was a lot of partying and celebration, there was also a lot of pain. That year Oakland saw its second highest annual homicide total ever. Pen experienced all the highs and lows back then, but feels like the full story of the culture didn't get told, until now when he brings us into the real meaning of “hyphy.” This story contains explicit language, mention of drug use, and violence. Sensitive listeners please be advised. BIG thanks to KQED and the whole Rightnowish team who shared this incredible story with us! Listen to the Hyphy Kids Got Trauma four part series on Rightnowish - wherever you get your podcasts! Hosted by Pendarvis Harshaw, produced by Maya Cueva, edited by Chris Hambrick, sound designed and mixed by Trackademics. With support from Eric Arnold, Jen Chien, Holly Kernan, Victoria Mauleon, Marisol Medina-Cadena, Gabe Meline, Xorje Olivares, Delency Parham, Cesar Saldaña, Sayre Quevedo, Katie Sprenger, Nastia Voynovskaya, and Ryce Stoughtenborough. The Little Boxer It's the 1950s in San Francisco. After getting beat one time too many, little Gus Lee decides to fight back. A big thanks to Gus Lee. This story comes from his novel, “China Boy,” based on his childhood. Lee is a courage-based leadership trainer and consultant. He's now completing his eighth book, "Courage Is a Verb." Produced by Liz Mak, original score by Renzo Gorrio Engineering by Pat Mesiti-Miller, illustration by Teo Ducot Season 15 - Episode 3
On August 11, 1973, hip-hop was born at a house party in the Bronx. 50 years later the genre has been reshaped in the image of cities and regions around the world. Brittany is joined by KQED's Pendarvis Harshaw to do a deep dive into one hip-hop scene from the Bay Area known as hyphy. They unpack how the loud, brash, hyperactive music helped a community grieve. To hear more of Pendarvis Harshaw's reporting on this Bay Area music scene, check out the Rightnowish series: Hyphy Kids Got Trauma.
Today, hyphy music has been out of the spotlight for about a decade, but it's still inspiring the audio and visual culture in the songs we hear today and the TV we watch. This episode of Remember the Time: The Hyphy Movement explores other aspects of hyphy—from its car and cycling cultures to how its depicted in today's films—how the Hyphy babies continue to champion the sound and perhaps why other regions are able to capitalize on the hyphy aesthetic and sound more so than its hometown. Host Branden LSK speaks to rappers LaRussell and P-Lo, CMG of the Conscious Daughters, No Cielings podcast host Glasses Malone and more. Remember the Time: The Hyphy Movement is a production of the Red Bulletin magazine. Tune into the Spotify playlist with the same namesake, for songs curated by Branden LSK.
The fiercely independent nature of the Bay Area music scene has proven to have both positive and adverse effects on the creativity and overall commercial success of the Hyphy Movement. In episode 5 of Remember the Time, titled, Is Hyphy Dead?, host Branden LSK speaks with artists and label executives about why the movement was somewhat short-lived—from the politics of competing radio stations to other regions capitalizing on the hyphy sound, and thus diluting its aural authenticity. Expect to hear from Mistah F.A.B., Too $hort, LaRussell, hip-hop journalist, Eric Arnold; No Vultures podcast host, Lord Rab and more.

Although E-40 is the mainstream face of the Hyphy Movement, Northern California residents view another rapper as the anchor of Hyphy. He went by Mac Dre. This episode of Remember the Time breaks down the larger-than-life persona of the late rapper—from his pre-and-post incarceration sound to his Thizz Entertainment empire.Host Branden LSK speaks with rapper LaRussell about Mac Dre's cultural impact and speaks with Steph Curry about his forthcoming documentary on the artist. Expect to hear from Hyphy pioneer E-40; rapper, Keak Da Sneak; hip-hop consultant, Wendy Day; radio personality, Big Von; rapper Mistah F.A.B, producer Droop-E and more.
The Bay Area dances a little different. More than music, Hyphy is described as a movement for a reason: it involved one's mind, body and soul. Episode 3: Taking Up Room on the Floor explores the dance culture of the bay area that helped visualize the Hyphy Movement. Born from the 1960s and 1970s funk scene in Oakland, the free-flowing and hard-hitting dance style known as Boogaloo has evolved into styles like pop and locking and T.U.R.F. dancing, which is still popular in the Bay Area to this day. With breaking (aka break dancing) entering the Olympics in 2024 and events like Red Bull Dance Your Style, T.U.R.F. dancing has kept a visual element of the Hyphy Movement-era alive. Expect to hear from Too $hort, Dregs One, Ice Cold 3000 of the Turfeinz crew, Johnny5 of TurfInc, Thizz Nation photographer D-Ray, organizers from the community space Youth Uprising, and more. For more Hyphy music, check out the playlist curated by host Branden LSK.

The word hyphy—short for hyperactive—was first uttered on a song by Oakland rapper Keak Da Sneak. Initially, the slang term didn't mean what it came to represent: that the party was over the top or someone was being extra. As it happens with most slang words, it took on a meaning of its own once the masses got ahold of it. This episode of Remember the Time breaks down the sound and culture that preceded hyphy, from the New Bay sound that led up to the Hyphy Movement, to the songs that came to define the Hyphy sound.Expect to hear from E-40, Keak Da Sneak, Too $hort, DJ Juice, P-Lo, Clyde Carson of the Team, Sean Kennedy of Moses Music, DJ Big Von, and more.Want more Hyphy music? Explore your inner Goth with Mina's interview with co-founder of The Cure Lol Tolhurst and dive into the Hyphy movement with Pendarvis Harshaw, host of KQED's podcast series Rightnowish Presents: Hyphy Kids Got Trauma.
Two of the biggest songs to come out of the Bay Area's hip hop scene – Too Short's “Blow The Whistle” and E-40's “Tell Me When To Go” – dropped in 2006. That year turned out to be a pivotal one as hyphy captured audiences nationwide with its uptempo beats, flashy fashion and distinctive dance styles. But in its place of origin, the Bay Area, people were dealing with the turmoil of displacement, economic uncertainty and friends dying in the streets. KQED's Pendarvis Harshaw joins us to talk about the context, complexities and contradictions of the music and the era that he explored through a new Rightnowish podcast series called Hyphy Kids Got Trauma. Guests: Rich Iyala, Bay Area musician who coined the phrase, "Hyphy Kids Got Trauma" D-Ray, Oakland-based hip hop photographer Pendarvis "Pen" Harshaw, columnist, KQED Arts; host, KQED's "Rightnowish" podcast
Episode 1 of Remember the Time examines the independent nature of Bay Area hip-hop and how it eventually reached the mainstream despite having a different sound, delivery and cadence from mainstream rap of the time. A big part of that sound, aptly called Mobb Music, was popularized by artists like E-40 and Mac Mall. The slow plodding bass heavy sound was instrumental in Bay Area hip-hop. It took a kid from Fairfield by way of Montgomery AL by the name of Rick Rock to bring his dance hi-BPM style to Bay music to transition from Mobb to Hyphy. Hear from Keak da Sneak, Jake One, Mike Mosley, Ray Luv, CMG of the Conscious Daughters and more. Hosted, written and produced by Branden LSK. Additional production by Melissa Saenz Gordon. Engineering by Full English Post. Executive Producers include Peter Flax and Branden Peters. Remember the Time: The Hyphy Movement is a production of the Red Bulletin magazine.
Introducing Remember the Time: The Hyphy Movement. In the mid-2000's a sound emerged out of the Bay Area that would overtake the sonic landscape of hip-hop for a brief but impactful period showcasing not only the music, but also the overall culture of the Bay Area. A culture that changed the way the hip-hop nation danced, dressed, spoke, and even drove their cars. The Lil Jon produced, E-40 helmed smash “Tell Me When to Go” accurately summed up the surface of the Hyphy movement as a music and culture, but the origin is much deeper. Without the independent nature of the Bay Area, Hyphy could have never existed. Here, we take a deep dive into a subgenre, a movement, a culture that though short lived, still permeates across the globe to this very day, influencing some of today's top performers.
Despite the uptempo party music and the perception of free-spirited fun, it's clear that 2006 was a violent year in my Northern Californian community. But until recently, I hadn't stopped to consider the issues impacting the kids of the Bay Area in the early 2000s, during the hyphy movement: violence, crime, poverty, sexism, racism, and other forms of discrimination. These are no different from the issues we're facing today. If you look closely enough, you'll see that all these issues are rooted in capitalism and imperialism. In this episode we talk to Congresswoman Barbara Lee, who represents the East Bay, about her history of dealing with these issues while serving this community for the past 25 years; Rich Iyala, a younger San Francisco based musician who wrote a song that inspired multiple aerosol artists to write tags that read, "hyphy children got trauma(s)" and "hyphy kids got trauma,"; and T'Jon, a senior at Oakland's Fremont High school, who was born in 2006 and views the hyphy movement as a groundswell of art, culture and community.
In the early 2000s, the underground DVD business was a major conduit of culture. Those documentaries showed the backstory of hip-hop artists and street culture all across the United States. One of the films Hood 2 Hood: The Blockumentary,, also included an early depiction of hyphy culture as I knew it to be-- hyper aggressive. But as the "hyphy movement" spread, the way the culture was shown drastically deviated from the origins of the term. In this episode, filmmaker Aquis "Cash Out Quis" Bryant discusses the era before hyphy went nationwide. Mac Dre's former manager, Chioke "Seaside Stretch" McCoy shares insight on how Dre's murder pushed the culture into the spotlight; and how the industry subsequently took the "hyphy movement" and ran with it. And Rita Forte, a former radio host known as DJ Backside, opens up about the highs of taking the hyphy sound around the world, and the lows of seeing her DJ career come crashing down after bad experience while working for a local radio station.
Welcome to Revolutionary Hoodrat with Kim Young of Dope Black Social Worker ®. In this week's episode Kim connects with Marvin Toliver, licensed clinical social worker, Bay Area native, and radical troublemaker about growing up in California, life on the East coast, Hoochie Daddies, mental health influencers and much more!
2006 was the height of the hyphy movement — a time of exuberant, goofy, frenetic energy. But there was so much more going on beneath the surface. Rightnowish Host Pendarvis Harshaw would know — he was a budding journalist with a front row seat to the culture. Today, he talks with us about his four-part series ‘Hyphy Kids Got Trauma.' Hyphy Kids Got Trauma is an exploration of a transformative year in Bay Area music history, 2006, through the eyes and ears of Pendarvis Harshaw. A college student and burgeoning journalist at the time, Pendarvis navigates the shifting tides of a culture in transition, all set to the seminal sounds of the Bay Area's “Hyphy Movement.” an era fueled by uptempo, bass-heavy songs with a free and fun-loving vibe. But 2006 also marked the second highest homicide total Oakland has ever seen. The violence was compounded by drugs, over-policing, the onset of gentrification, and the ongoing War On Terror. The wounds that occurred almost twenty years ago still impact the adults of the Bay Area today. Hyphy kids got trauma, and this is why. Listen to the whole series today on Rightnowish.
Before the "hyphy movement" and even prior to having its own name, the style of dance now commonly known as Turfin' or Turf Dancing, provided an outlet for young folks in Oakland to party to their favorite music, have fun by physically telling stories and express themselves while taking up room on the floor. In this episode, we talk to Jeriel Bey, the person credited with coining the term, "Turfin'," Jacky Johnson, a founding Youth Uprising staff member, and Jesus El, my longtime friend and a well-known turf dancer.
The Hyphy Movement was often looked at as goofy, but there was a lot of pain behind those big sunglasses and oversized airbrushed t-shirts. Welcome to Hyphy Kids Got Trauma, a four-part series about the Bay Area, and the significance of the year 2006. In part one we land in Oakland and meet host Pendarvis Harshaw, a budding journalist at 18 years old. We see the highs and lows, the songs and scars, of that year through his eyes, and meet a few of the artists behind the music.

Christopher Wilson, aka Riot Ten, exploded into electronic music at the age of 22 with his unique blend of dubstep, trap, and electro. Inking his first deal with DIM MAK Records in early 2017, Riot Ten's music has been supported and co-signed by the likes of DJ Snake, The Chainsmokers, Porter Robinson, Excision, Zed's Dead, Steve Aoki and many more. He has also released music on Interscope, Atlantic, Never Say Die, and Bassrush Records to name a few. Riot Ten's 2016 single "F*ck It" topped the dubstep charts for many consecutive months and became a staple on The Chainsmokers "Memories Do Not Open" tour. This cross-genre success paved the way for "Rail Breaker", his 2017 global smash, to become one of the most recognizable and infamous dubstep songs of the decade. However, the El Paso, Texas native refused to rest on his laurels. Following this success, it was off to the races, officially, and it was only the beginning. Riot Ten put out his debut EP "The Dead" in 2018, which recorded a top 10 debut on the iTunes dance charts and a #1 Beatport top 100 spot. He went on to release 2 additional EPs in 2018 and 2019, securing his presence in some of Spotify's top electronic playlists, including Beast Mode, Hype, Fresh Electronic, and more. With an undeniable groundswell underway, and no signs of slowing down, Riot Ten was fast becoming a rising star in bass music. He has now recorded and released two albums since 2020, while simultaneously releasing a string of singles and EPs that would feature some of his most popular records to date, including “Hyphy”, “Mawlee”, “Don't You” and “Poppin”. Since 2019, Riot Ten has headlined 3 international “Hype Or Die” tours, selling out shows across the globe, from North America to Australia and China. He has also made appearances at some of the top festivals in the world, including, but not limited to, Lollapalooza, Coachella, EDC Las Vegas, Electric Zoo, Lost Lands, Bass Canyon, Paradiso and more. This episode was live-streamed to the PyramindSF.TV Twitch channel. Greg speaks with Smasheltooth, a West Coast Dj, artist, and producer whose new album Smashel of Liberty comes out spring of 2023 on Mal Label Music. Smasheltooth, or “Smash” for short, gives us a look into how her life experiences and musical influences shaped her DJ career and her first full-length album, which includes both unreleased music from nearly a decade ago, and new songs from the past few years including collaborations with Rappin' Forte and other notable artists. Her career has taken her from editing Pornography in LA to being a touring DJ and performer, and now working in Tech in Portland. All the while, Smash has unapologetically brought her love for Hip-Hop, Hyphy, Punk, Dance Hall, and especially Mac Dre to the Bass and Dance music scene. After this episode was recorded, Smash headlined Pyramind live, a VIP live audience & streamed event, playing her first-ever set of all original music, with support from fellow female DJ, Source Zero. October 25, 2022 marks the third anniversary of the launch of the Rightnowish podcast! This week, we're revisiting an episode that's emblematic of this show's ethos. In July of 2021 we published an episode featuring Alameda's own producer and DJ, Trackademicks. Known as the “cool collar scholar” from the HNRL collective, Trackademicks is a music producer who makes original songs and has a knack for remixing popular tracks, and adding that Bay Area flavor. In the early 2000s, his "Tell Me When To Go" remix cemented his name in the Bay Area musical history books. When we talked last year, we discussed the history of Hyphy music and how he, as a Black and Filipino person, sees remixing as a part of his DNA. Since then, he's DJ'd at functions in LA, and he's produced more music including some forthcoming remix projects, like this mashup of Janet Jackson and Andre 3000. Check it out. Annnnndddddd…Trackademicks has recently gotten married! Congrats to him and his partner! Read the Transcript If you enjoy Rightnowish, consider donating to KQED podcasts for more great content!

On today's episode I speak with filmmakers Laurence Madrigal & Jason O'Mahony. Their new documentary WE WERE HYPHY just premiered at Cinequest 2022. Great film, great chat! Thanks for listening! Kyler -- Social and Web: WE WERE HYPHY Instagram: @wewerehyphy Website: www.wewerehyphy.com -- PRESS RELEASE: WE WERE HYPHY is delighted to announce its World Premiere as part of the prestigious Cinequest 2022 Film Festival. The music documentary captures the hugely kinetic Hyphy movement, and brings the sights and sounds of the San Francisco Bay Area's most influential musical movement of the past 30 years to life on the screen. This music documentary feature traces Hyphy's genesis on Bay Area streets and examines its influence with interviews from legendary figures such as Keak da Sneak and Mistah FAB to modern day artists such as Kamaiyah, Rafael Casal, P-Lo, and G-Eazy who grew up during the movement and were deeply influenced by it. Historical context is provided by columnists and academics such as Pendarvis Harshaw and Dr. Andrea L.S. Moore. “Hyphy had a massive influence on me as a teenager,” says Laurence Madrigal, director of WE WERE HYPHY. “I grew up in Antioch and Hyphy was everywhere. It was on the streets, in our cars, in the clothes we wore, and in the way we spoke. I've always wanted to share my love of Hyphy with the world and this film is a love song to the era!”
A tight win vs Xaiver and a blowout win vs Butler have Chris and Rob getting Hyphy! The 2nd half of the episode takes a deep dive into how the bracket is starting to shape up and Nova's path to a high seed.
