Shawn Robertson is up there with the most naturally gifted athletes I've ever worked with. At 13, he was throwing an 80 mph fastball and dominating team sports, then he found inline and rode that rocketship. By the time he was 15, he left Texas on his first plane ever and within months, he was traveling the world, winning contests and putting out incredible street parts all in the name of skating. Now, the poor kid from Texas had all the things thanks to a Levis Sponsorship, working with GAP, plus all the core skate brands. Shawn had “it” and could do anything and still command respect. But an injury, combined with no insurance, forced Shawn to pivot to professional frisbee golf among other things. Fellow wild Texas skater, Ryan Dawes asks the Inappropriate Questions. Join the Veterans Breakfast Club for conversation with M.P. Woodward, Navy veteran and bestselling author of Tom Clancy: Line of Demarcation, the newest installment in the legendary Jack Ryan series. We'll talk spycraft, storytelling, and how real-world experience in military intelligence shapes his fiction writing. Before becoming a full-time writer, M.P. Woodward served as a Naval Intelligence Officer with the U.S. Pacific Command, where he scripted war-game scenarios focused on the Middle East and coordinated joint missions with Special Forces, the CIA, and the NSA. He deployed multiple times to the Persian Gulf and Far East and served on a senior admiral's flag staff, often acting as liaison to foreign military officers. These experiences gave him a deep well of operational and diplomatic knowledge—one he draws from to deliver techno-thrillers that feel one step ahead of the headlines. In Line of Demarcation, Woodward thrusts President Jack Ryan into the center of an escalating crisis as Russia's war in Ukraine edges toward global catastrophe. Meanwhile, Jack Ryan Jr. undertakes a covert mission in occupied territory that could determine the fate of nations. With geopolitical intrigue and explosive action, the novel delivers all the hallmarks of classic Clancy—filtered through Woodward's sharp, informed lens. Don't miss this chance to hear from one of today's most authentic voices in military fiction. We'll discuss his path from the Navy to the bestseller list, and how his service continues to inform his storytelling today. We're grateful to UPMC for Life for sponsoring this event!

rWotD Episode 3016: Inline skate wheel setup Welcome to random Wiki of the Day, your journey through Wikipedia's vast and varied content, one random article at a time. The random article for Wednesday, 6 August 2025, is Inline skate wheel setup.Inline skate wheel setup can refer to various aspects related to the selection and configuration of inline skate wheels. The total number of wheels and their diameter are often expressed in the form {number of wheels} x {wheel diameter in mm}. For instance, a common recreational skate setup is 4x80mm, which means four wheels, each with a diameter of 80 millimeters. Wheel arrangement patterns are typically named according to the profile formed by the wheels at their contact points with the ground. In a flat setup, all wheels maintain contact with the ground simultaneously. A classic rockered setup, by contrast, creates a banana-like profile along the bottom. This recording reflects the Wikipedia text as of 00:07 UTC on Wednesday, 6 August 2025.For the full current version of the article, see Inline skate wheel setup on Wikipedia. This podcast uses content from Wikipedia under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License.Visit our archives at wikioftheday.com and subscribe to stay updated on new episodes.Follow us on Mastodon at @wikioftheday@masto.ai.Also check out Curmudgeon's Corner, a current events podcast.Until next time, I'm generative Olivia.

Cameron Talbott is getting his first pro skate this week. What's crazy is that Cam is 37 years old, and while he was a sponsored am for a long time, he didn't achieve pro status until he was 25. While that's impressive, what's even more impressive are the hammers and creativity that define his skating. Not too bad for a kid who came up with nothing in Missoula, Montana. The English noun gospel comes from the Anglo-Saxon term godspell, meaning "glad tidings." It is translated from the Greek evangelion, which means "good message." Originally, the word was related to news of military triumph. –https://www.gotquestions.org/gospel-good-news.htmlWhile mainstream Christianity has a relatively narrow definition or view of the Good News, e.g., limited to the New Testament and only relating to the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, a broader, more scriptural perspective exists that is less taught, if taught at all.Didn't the prophets Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, and others preach good news? What was their good news about? If the Good News is only about the death, burial, and resurrection of Messiah Yeshua, why did He teach and preach about it? What did He say is the Good News?Is the Good News about the Messiah, or is it of the Messiah? As is his usual practice, Rabbi Steve Berkson brings a more profound understanding to this topic by allowing scripture to define itself just as he has done in his other teachings.• Opener• Review• Ephesians 6:1-9 – How do we respond to authority?• We operate both with authority and under authority• Ephesians 6:10 – Be strong in the Master's strength • Ephesians 6:11 – Put on the complete armor of Elohim• He's the cheerleader?• Ephesians 6:12-13 – Power to withstand and stand• Ephesians 6:14 – Gird your waist with truth?• The breastplate of righteousness• Ephesians 6:15 – Your feet = your walk• Ephesians 6:16 – The shield of faith• Ephesians 6:17 – The helmet and sword • Ephesians 6:18 – Inline with the nature of Elohim• Ephesians 6:19-20 – Boldly proclaiming the Good News• He's got positions to fill• Do you leave out pieces of your armor?• The importance of understanding the armor• Rabbi Berkson talks about searching for teachers• Fitted for the Good News• Somebody did it all for you?• Romans 2:5-9 – You will reap what you sow• The battle is inside of youListen to the Afterburn tomorrowTo learn more about MTOI, visit our website, https://mtoi.org.https://www.facebook.com/mtoiworldwide https://www.instagram.com/mtoi_worldwidehttps://www.tiktok.com/@mtoi_worldwide You can contact MTOI by emailing us at admin@mtoi.org or calling 423-250-3020.
