Welcome back, you bloody space pirates! Thank you for tuning in to another episode of the Star Wars Re-Watch Podcast. This episode is a bit out of order—I meant to edit the previous one first, but here I am working on Episode III. Not a big deal! I'll try not to spoil my thoughts on the last episode as we dive into this exciting continuation of the story. At this point, the children are lost in space. SM-33 navigates them to their port of origin, which turns out to be a bustling pirate base hidden within an asteroid. Unfortunately, the children find themselves captured and must figure out a way to escape. Luckily, they gain an unexpected ally—another prisoner! Here we're introduced to Jod Na Nawood, a Force-wielding “Jedi.” While Whim is ecstatic to meet a Jedi in real life, Fern and KB are skeptical of Jod's claims. Despite their doubts, they strike a deal to help one another. The pirates are ultimately foiled, but not before the children convince Jod to rescue SM-33 before making their daring escape. They jump to lightspeed while still tethered to a fuel line—talk about close calls! Jod, Fern, Neel, KB, and SM-33 escape Port Borgo and head to meet Jod's associate, Kh'ymm. This encounter raises more questions about Jod's true identity. Kh'ymm refers to him as Crimson Jack, marking his third alias so far (the pirates had called him Silvo). Kh'ymm aids the group by deciphering symbols from Fern's backpack to locate At Attin. However, Jod immediately realizes that Kh'ymm has alerted the New Republic. As the kids negotiate yet another deal with Jod to ensure their safe return home, X-wings arrive near the observatory and open fire on their ship. This episode deepens the mystery surrounding At Attin, a legendary location tied to the Old Republic. Generations have passed without anyone from the Republic or Empire reaching it, as the so-called “barrier” obscures it and makes navigation nearly impossible. I thoroughly enjoyed this episode. Kh'ymm's knowledge of At Attin and its connection to other “jewels of the Republic” was fascinating. I hope you found it just as intriguing! Thank you for listening or watching! Episode 150 of the Hey You Guys Podcast is here, and seeing that it is the 25th anniversary of the Prequel trilogy (and that Rob isn't feeling very well), we thought it a great excuse to take another look back at Liam's favourite of the Prequel trilogy and the one that, well, Rob just about put up with. It might not have been particularly well received by critics back in 2005, but Episode III continues to find new fans, and with the Prequel trilogy now held in higher regard, it seems as good a time as any to see just how well this previously underrated sci-fi classic (Liam's words, not Rob's) has actually held up.

Hey everyone! This is a new feature I will be using going forward. I provide early access to certain episodes to my supporters on Patreon, in particular the episodes in my longer ongoing series. After a month, I drop the episode for everyone. So, to give non-subscribers a sneak preview, I am going to share clips of the full episodes before they drop, to give you a sense of what's going on. The current series is on the topic of Latinization, how Rome "latinized" or otherwise made Eastern Churches in communion with her adopt Latin liturgical and disciplinary customs. This clip is from Episode III of that series, a primer for the Early Modern Period. In it, I discuss Pope Benedict XIV, a scholar and pontiff of the 18th century who wrote an encyclical on the Eastern Rites in communion with Rome called Allatae Sunt (1755). The clip focuses on his contention that, barring any question of orthodoxy (which popes have a natural right to investigate), Eastern Christians in communion with the Holy See ought to keep and celebrate their own rites and not be "Latinized" by missionaries. You can hear the full discussion of this episode later in the month, or you can go to Controversies in Church History's patreon account to get access now. Thanks to all of my listeners as always. May the Force be with all of us! Šajā raidījumā: Episode I – kā sākās mūsu attiecības ar "Zvaigžņu kariem" (00:02:54); Episode II – "Star Wars Celebration" piedzīvojumi (00:37:10); Episode III – "Star Wars" nākotnes projekti un plāni (00:57:19). Our slow-and-steady voyage through the Star Wars films continues unabated this week, as we move our focus to 2005's Episode III: Revenge of the Sith (as voted on by our listeners on Patreon). Capping off a tumultuous and ill-received prequel trilogy, Episode III is widely considered the strongest effort in that specific arc. But do we, The Brothers Moriarty, agree? Not particularly. Revenge of the Sith was when Lucas ran out of runway, and as a result, we're met with a rushed film that sets the seeds of some good ideas, but barely sticks around long enough to see any of them grow. Worse yet, it ignores much of what would have made this movie shine, adding too much to a concoction already drowning in watered-down ingredients. Before you execute Order 66, however, consider giving our chat a listen, and discover what a couple of lapsed, curmudgeonly Star Wars fans think about Anakin's ultimate turn to the Dark Side.
