I Corinthians 15: 19, Matthew 20: 18 Mark 10:33 “ Behold, we go up to Jerusalem and the Son of Man will be delivered over unto the chief priests and they will condemn him to death…. They will mock him, spit on him, and flog him and kill him…AND AFTER THREE DAYS HE WILL RISE AGAIN ” Luke 18:31 “Behold, we go up to Jerusalem and all the things that were written by the prophets concerning the Son of Man will be accomplished. … they will scourge him, and put him to death: and on the third day he will rise again and they understood none of these things ” Luke 24 : 25 “ Oh foolish ones and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken.  Today, in our passage here in Luke 12:8-10, we have one ofthe most interesting and discussed topics in the Gospels and that is the questionof what does it mean to “blaspheme against the Holy Spirit.”  Luke 12 begins with Jesus warning the disciples to “bewareof the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy”. Over the next several versesJesus instructs both the disciples and the crowd on how to avoid becoming ahypocrite like the Pharisees of His day. Of course this is very much for usbelievers today. There are some very practical things we can do that will keepus from compromising our faith and going along with the crowd. Sometimes itmight be the crowd in the world with their ungodly ways, or most likely itcould be the crowd in our religious circles with their emphasis on the externalrituals, ceremonies, legalism, and made-up rules and preferences.  First, Jesus tells us to remember that everything we say ordo in secret, or behind closed doors, will one day be exposed to everyone to seeand hear (vv. 2-3). Secondly, Jesus tells us not to fear men, or anyone, and whatthey might say or do against us, but to fear God (vv. 4-5). Third, Jesusreminds us that despite our circumstances during difficult and tragic times, Godstills loves and cares for us and notices the smallest detail of our lives andall the needs of our lives (vv. 6-7). Now in our verses today (vv. 8-12), which begin with, “Also,I say unto you”, Jesus gives us another way to avoid hypocrisy is to be courageousenough to publicly profess and confess Christ openly (vv. 8-9)! And we shouldalso recognize and depend on the ministry of the Holy Spirit (vv.10-12).  We need to remember that one day we will have to standbefore God at the Judgement Seat of Christ and give an account of our deeds. (Notour sins, because they are taken care of at the cross.) If we obediently and courageouslyprofess Christ openly now to the lost world around us, on that day Christ willconfess that we have been “good and faithful servants” before both the Fatherand the angels in heaven. But if we deny Him now, fail to live and stand up forHim, Jesus says we will be ashamed before the angels in heaven on that day. What a great motivation to avoid being a hypocrite!!!!! Now what about the statement concerning the “blasphemy ofthe Holy Spirit'? We need to recognize that this statement is connected withthe ministry of the Spirit in and through the Apostles (Luke 12:11-12). TheJewish nation rejected God the Father when they refused to obey John theBaptist and repent, for John was sent by the Father. They rejected God the Sonwhen they asked Pilate to crucify Him. But that sin could be forgiven becausethere was still the ministry of the Spirit. God did not judge the nation immediately. Instead, Jesusprayed for them as He hanged on the cross (Luke 23:34; see also Acts 3:17).Then God sent the Holy Spirit who ministered through the Apostles and otherbelievers in the church. This was the last opportunity for the nation, and theyfailed by rejecting the witness of the Spirit (Acts 7:51). Luke 12:11-12 wasfulfilled during the first chapters of Acts when the message went "to theJew first" (Acts 3:26; 13:46; Rom. 1:16). Israel's third "nationalsin" was the stoning of Stephen (Acts 7), after which the message went outto the Samaritans (Acts 8), and then the Gentiles (Acts 10). Note that Stephensaid, "You always resist the Holy Spirit" (Acts 7:51). I do not believe that the "sin against the HolySpirit" is committed by people today as it was by Israel centuries ago. InJohn 16:8-9, Jesus told His disciples “that when the Holy Spirit has come, Hewill convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: of sin, because they do not believe in Me. I believe that the only "unpardonable sin" todayis the final rejection of Jesus Christ (John 3:36). Make sure you have trusted Jesustoday! Tomorrow might be too late. God bless!

Words In Scripture Explored - Judgment There is certainty of judgment - He will judge the whole world with justice (Acts 17v31). Who is the Judge? Almighty God is the judge of all the earth (Hebrews 12v23). God the Father has given all judgment to the Son, Jesus Christ (John 5v22-27)! All of humanity is destined to die once and after that to face judgment (Hebrews 9v27). But what kind of judgment, and for which kind of people? Judgment of unbelievers For all those who do not profess Jesus Christ as Lord and God in this earthly life, judgment will come to them. They will appear before the great white throne of Judgment (Revelation 20v11-15) to give an account for their sin and wickedness. Because they have no righteousness of their own to pay for their life of sin and wickedness, they will be cast into the lake of fire with satan and his angels (Revelation 20v15; Matthew 25v41). This punishment is eternal (Matthew 25v46). Judgment of Christians There will also be a judgment for all those who profess Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour! Did you know that? Not a judgment for sins and wickedness, because their sins are forgiven! Not judged for sin, because this has already been judged (Isaiah 53v4-6; 1 Peter 2v24).They will be accepted by the Lord Jesus Christ! Accepted because during their life on earth, they responded to the offer of forgiveness from God, which is an act of grace. This group of people are forgiven through the Lord Jesus Christ, and his blood that was shed as he died on the cross. However, we will be judged for the things we have done, with the gifts and talents we have been given!. We will all, if we profess to be Christian, give an account of ourselves to God (Romans 14v10), and will be judged according to what we have done with what we have been given (2 Corinthians 5v10). The quality of our work will be tested (1 Corinthians 3v11-15), and our motives will be exposed. Exposed as to whether things were done for God's glory (1 Corinthians 4v4-5) or for our own glory. As we give account of the opportunities and abilities entrusted to us (Matthew 25v14-30), rewards may be gained or lost (1 Corinthians 3v14-15). Rewards such as the Incorruptible crown (1 Corinthians 9v25); the Crown of glory (1 Peter 5v4); Crown of righteousness (2 Timothy 4v8); Crown of rejoicing (1 Thessalonians 2v19) and the Crown of life (James 1v12). So as you go, do all you can for the glory of God, as you submit to the Son Jesus Christ in the power of God the Holy Spirit! Go and tell somebody the good news of Jesus Christ, so that there may well be one person with you in heaven, because you told them about the free gift of grace who is the Lord Jesus Christ! The Foundation Of Truth #RTTBROS #nightlight #normankissinger #NK   The Foundation of Truth  "Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth." - John 17:17 (KJV) In a world where the concept of absolute truth is increasingly dismissed, we find ourselves adrift in a sea of relativism. Norman Kissinger from Redeeming the Time Brothers Ministries brings to light a cultural phenomenon that has permeated our society: the rejection of truth. This denial has not only affected the spiritual realm but has led to a broader cultural collapse, where even basic realities are questioned. The Bible, however, stands as a beacon of truth in a world of shadows. John 14:6 (KJV) declares, "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." This profound statement encapsulates the essence of our faith—Jesus Christ is the embodiment of truth, and through Him, we gain access to the Father. As Christians, we are called to embrace this truth wholeheartedly. It is not enough to delve into the depths of God's Word; we must also grasp its basics. The average believer's illiteracy in Scripture has led to ineffective Christian living. We must return to the fundamentals, for it is there that our foundation is solidified. John 1:14 (KJV) reveals, "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth."The law, given through Moses, was a precursor to the ultimate revelation of grace and truth through Jesus Christ (John 1:17). To serve God is to serve Him in truth, acknowledging our sinful nature and need for a Savior. Salvation hinges on the acceptance of truth—the sinlessness of Christ, His atoning sacrifice, and His ability to save. Denial of these truths renders salvation impossible. As bearers of truth, we reflect Christ's character, becoming more like Him in thought, word, and deed. Let us, therefore, seek the Lord in prayer, asking Him to reveal the truth within us, no matter how uncomfortable it may be. For in acknowledging our flaws, we also recognize our need for His grace. As we grow in truth, we grow in Christlikeness, becoming beacons of truth in a world that desperately needs it. May this week be one of reflection and growth as you delve into the truth of God's Word. May you be blessed and become a blessing to others as you live out the truth of Jesus Christ in your life. Prayer: Heavenly Father, sanctify us through Your truth. Your Word is the truth that guides us, the light that illuminates our path. Help us to embrace Your truth, to live it out daily, and to share it with a world in need. In Jesus' name, Amen. https://linktr.ee/rttbros   Be sure to Like, Share, Follow and subscribe it helps get the word out. https://linktr.ee/rttbros

WORD EXPLOSION 2024| DAY 7| TESTIFY GOD'S WORD| with CHIMDI & FUNKE OHAHUNA. John 1: 8 (ABU) Welcome to another episode of WE'24, where we dive deep into the meaning of to testify and its significance in our conviction of who Jesus is. In the realm of spirituality, the act of testifying holds immense significance. It's not merely a statement of belief but a profound expression of personal experience, conviction, and the desire to attest, prove, and show. In the Gospel of John, we witness John the Baptist's unwavering testimony about Jesus Christ (John 1:19-27). Despite the temptation to seek recognition, John remained steadfast in his conviction. He declared, 'I am not the Christ, but I have been sent before him.' John's integrity was rooted in his understanding of his own identity. He recognized that his purpose was not to exalt himself but to point others to Christ. By doing so, he embodied the true essence of a humble man, confident in the person God had created him to be. As new creations in Christ, we are not called to testify of ourselves. Our purpose is to reflect the light of Christ (John 1:4). We are not the source of illumination but mere bearers of the true light. When we focus on exalting Jesus, our own glory diminishes, and we shine brighter. As the Apostle Paul writes, 'Not that we are sufficient in ourselves to claim anything as coming from us, but our sufficiency is from God' (2 Corinthians 3:5). Our testimony extends beyond words. It's manifested in our daily actions, choices, and interactions. When we live in integrity, with humility and a desire to serve others, we silently declare the presence of Christ in our lives. In the story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego (Daniel 3), their refusal to bow down to an idol was a powerful declaration of their faith. Their integrity and unwavering trust in God ultimately led to their rescue and the glory of God being revealed. To testify is to make a statement of our belief and personal experience. It's a declaration of our identity in Christ and a commitment to live out the true purpose for which we were created. By following the example of John the Baptist and living a life of integrity, we become beacons of light that point others to the true source of salvation and hope, Christ Jesus. 18. Jesus The Ascended King Right mouse click or tap here to save this podcast episode as a mp3 Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Matthew 28:16-20 Jesus’ resurrection is the catalyst for the mission of the church, beginning with the disciples and throughout history. Jesus’ mission to earth is coming to an end and shortly He will be returning to the right hand of the Father. Before He does so though, He has some more words to say to His disciples. Jesus’ Authority Throughout the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus’ authority is a major theme. Where Matthew records Jesus doing miracles, this is to highlight Jesus authority in action and not just merely in words. Matthew records Jesus’ authority to forgive sins (Matthew 9:6) and he imparted authority to his disciples for a short time when they went on a mission in Matthew 10. Jesus has authority (Matthew 28:18) over all things, all people, all circumstances and happenings. Jesus has authority over all spiritual beings, whether angels or demons. Jesus has authority over all nations, governments and rulers. Jesus has authority over all earthly and spiritual authorities. Jesus has the authority. This means regardless of what ever the Christian Disciple faces, Jesus is in control. Therefore, as Christian Disciples, we can obey him without fear of retribution from those who would seek to harm us. We can obey him regardless of the circumstances we find ourselves in. It is a great comfort to know, that he is in control of everything!! Through his death on the cross and his rising from the dead, Jesus has conquered all enemies. Now people sometimes confuse authority with authoritarian. Authoritarian means severe, rigidity and a dictator. None of these applies to Jesus. We have been given a free will, but as his Disciples, we should choose to exercise our free will to obey him and live a life worthy of him. As the Christian depends on Jesus’ authority, the Christian Disciple gains wisdom, guidance, and power. You Go If Jesus had not risen from the dead, then the Disciples would not have had a story to tell. But Jesus had indeed risen from the dead, and the early church exploded numerically as the twelve Disciples exercised Jesus’ authority and His power. We read about the growth of the early church in the Book of Acts. Christianity is a faith whereby all Christian Disciples are to tell others of the goodness of God. Indeed God Himself is a missionary God. Ever since Genesis 3 and the fall of man, God has been on a mission to bring and call people back to himself. That was the purpose of the nation of Israel, to be a light to all nations of the goodness and glory of God! That was purpose when God, who is outside of time and space, entered human history taking on human flesh and restricted himself in a human body as the man we know as Jesus Christ. Jesus’ whole mission was one of calling people back to life in God. As followers of Jesus Christ, all Christian Disciples are to evangelize. Evangelism is showing and telling others of God’s message of reconciliation to all people of all time. It is not forcing people to adopt Church standards (1 Corinthians 5:12) and nor is it simply a message of join the church as a symbol of good works (Ephesians 2:v8-10). Why evangelize? The prime motivation for evangelism is out of gratitude for what God has done, in that we love because he loved us first. Paul writes in 2 Corinthians 5:14, “For Christ's love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died.” As his servants we are to tell and live out God’s reconciling message As I said before, we are all to do the work of an evangelist (2 Timothy 4:5). In these last words of Matthew’s Gospel, all Christian Disciples are to make disciples throughout the whole earth! Making disciples is not just evangelism but ensuring that guidance and care is given to new Christian disciples. How is this achieved? How can the Christian Disciple exhibit Jesus’ authority and power in evangelism? Who gives the impetus for Christian Disciples? That is part of the role of the Holy Spirit, whom Jesus said would come once He had ascended back to the right hand of God the Father. The Holy Spirit is coming This is in fulfilment of Ezekiel 36:27 “And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws”, where the Almighty and All-powerful God will indwell those who follow him. Throughout his ministry Jesus had talked about how after he was to depart, and that the Holy Spirit would come (John 15:26). We know from the other writings in the New Testament who the Holy Spirit is and what his ministry is. The Holy Spirit is spoken of as God (1 Corinthians 3:16). The attributes of God are ascribed to the Holy Spirit - life (Romans 8:2), truth (John 16:13) and love (Romans 15:30). The Holy Spirit is also a Person and is always referred to as ‘he’ in the New Testament (John 16:14). He relates to us as a person for he is comforter, guide and teacher (John 14). He can be blasphemed against and be grieved (Ephesians 4:30), and wherever the Holy Spirit is, the Father and Son are also present because they are one. (John 14:18-23). The Ministry of the Holy Spirit What is the ministry of the Holy Spirit and what does e have to do with Christian Disciples? 1. Glorify Christ: This is the Spirit’s prime role, that he will glorify Jesus Christ the Son of God, who is to be praised and glorified (John 16:13-14). He will testify for Jesus Christ (John 15:26). He will witness for Jesus Christ (Acts 1:8). 2. The Paraclete – Comforter: He is one called to stand alongside (John 14:16). Jesus said it would be better for him to go away and send the Holy Spirit to live in us (John 16:7). The Holy Spirit ministers to us all that Jesus would be to us if he were here in person. 3. Declares God’s Word: The Holy Spirit has a prime role in revelation. It was he that spoke through the prophets (Ezekiel 2:2) and it was he who inspired the Bible, God’s Word (2 Peter 1:21). Further to this, the Holy Spirit interprets and illuminates God’s Word (John 16:12-15; 1 Corinthians 2:10-16) to people! 4. Conviction: The Holy Spirit is sent to convict the world of sin, righteousness and judgment (John 16:8) 5. Salvation: Christian Disciples are born of the Holy Spirit and are known as regenerated (John 3:3-8) 6. Indwelling: God lives inside each Christian Disciple through the Holy Spirit. Without the Holy Spirit, a person cannot be a Christian Disciple (Romans 8:9; Gal 2:20; Colossians 1:25-27) 7. Sealing / Ownership: The Holy Spirit indwelling the Christian Disciple is assured proof of being God’s possession (2 Corinthians 1:22; Ephesians 1:3) 8. Security: The Holy Spirit is a deposit, guaranteeing our future redemption, salvation and inheritance (Ephesians 1:13; 2 Corinthians 1:22). 9. Filling: This speaks of the Holy Spirit’s control or domination of our lives. The imperative here is that we are to be filled (Ephesians 5:18), and go on being filled. He gives power to enable Christian Disciples to evangelise (Acts 1:8; 4:8, 31). 10. Sanctification: The Holy Spirit transforms us into the likeness of Christ (2 Corinthians 7-18), as we walk, live in, and are led by the Spirit (Galatians. 5:16; Romans 8:13). 11. Baptism: This expression occurs 7 times in the New Testament. It occurs 4 times in the gospels, referring to Jesus baptizing with the Holy Spirit and with fire. 1 Corinthians 12:13 states that we are all baptized with the Holy Spirit into one body. 12. Service: The Holy Spirit equips us for service. God is working in you to will and to act accordingly to his purpose (Phil. 2:13), to be my witnesses (Acts 1:8). How is the Spirit seen? The Spirit’s work is in evidence where people’s lives become more holy and more like Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 12:3; 2 Corinthians 13:7). The Holy Spirit equips Christian Disciples for service through the giving of spiritual gifts. Elsewhere on this website that has been discussed. Ask yourself the following questions and see how you respond or react to them. Then why not share your answers with your spouse or a close friend, so that you can pray over any issues together. Q1. Read Matthew 28:16-20. How does the authority of Jesus aid me in evangelism? Q2. Read John 21. How am I carrying my cross for the sake of Jesus Christ? Q3. How is the presence of the Holy Spirit transforming me into the image of Jesus Christ?

In today's study, we conversed about what happened after Jesus revealed His identity to the woman at the well. She didn't keep it quiet, nor did she keep it to herself. She went through Samaria, telling everyone about this One she just met. She was convincing enough to get the townspeople to go out and meet Him for themselves. Many people believed on Him, and this causes us to ask: How good are we doing at witnessing? We believe we might could take some lessons from this loose living Samaritan woman from years ago. In our Q&A segment, we were asked the question: Do you believe it is ok to allow children to read books about ghosts, witches, or paranormal activity? Don't wait any longer, go ahead and tune in now!

First, we need to understand that there are 3 encounters every person must have in order to OBTAIN AND ENJOY true Kingdom prosperity. 1.    Encounter with Jesus Christ – John 3:16; “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life”.2.   Encounter with Holy Spirit – John 16:13; “Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.”3.   Encounter with God's Word – 2 Timothy 2:15; “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth”. What does the Bible say about Kingdom prosperity? 3rd John 2, “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth”.   Genesis 17:6 (KJV) “And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee”. 2 Corinthians 8:9 (KJV)“For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich”.There are 5- levels of Kingdom Prosperity 1)  Spiritual prosperity 2)  Mental prosperity 3)  Emotional Prosperity 4)  Financial prosperity 5)  Relational Prosperity According to God's Kingdom, the person considered wealthy is the one with qualifications of all of the above. Let us dig deeper into this so much needed message in the Body of Christ...

Freedom to Live Romans 8:18-39 Right mouse click or tap here to save/download this Sermon as a MP3 file I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. The creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed. For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the glorious freedom of the children of God. We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies. For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what he already has? But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently. In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God's will. And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified. What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all-how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. Who is he that condemns? Christ Jesus, who died-more than that, who was raised to life-is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written: "For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered." No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:18-39) ----more---- I wonder what you thought as the bible passage was being read. I wonder what you are undergoing currently in your life. Suffering comes to us all in one-way or another. Whether that be physical, psychological, emotional or spiritual suffering, it is common to all people of all time and of all cultures. And of course there are no easy answers as to the ultimate cause of suffering. You may also be wondering if God has somehow separated Himself from you during your pains and trials. But what could be a Christian perspective on suffering? Let us look together at this most wonderful piece of Scripture. 1. Freedom from pain and suffering. a. Creation groans (vs. 18-22). When God finished His creation, it was a good Creation (Genesis 1:31); but today it is an imperfect groaning Creation. There is suffering and death; there is pain, all of which is, of course, the result of Adam's sin. It is not the fault of creation. Note the words Paul used to describe the plight of creation: suffering (Romans 8:18 ), pride (Romans 8:20), bondage (Romans 8:21), decay (Romans 8:21), and pain (Romans 8:22). However this groaning is not a useless thing since Paul now compares it to a woman giving birth. There is pain, but the pain will end when the child is born. One day creation will be delivered, and the groaning creation will become a glorious creation! As people of the kingdom, we should not focus on the sufferings of today; but look forward to the coming glory (Romans 8:18; 2 Corinthians 4:1518 ). Today's groaning bondage will be exchanged for tomorrow's glorious freedom. b. The Members of the Kingdom groan (vs. 23-25). The reason as Christians we groan is because we have experienced what the Apostle Paul calls "the first-fruits of the Spirit": a foretaste of the glory to come when we shall live with our King in glory. Just as the nation of Israel tasted the first-fruits of Canaan when the spies returned (Numbers 12:23-27), so we Christians have tasted of the blessings of heaven through the ministry of the Holy Spirit. This should encourage us to want to see the Lord, receive a new body, and live with Him and serve Him forever in everlasting life. We are waiting for "the adoption," which is the redemption of the body when Jesus returns according to Paul in Philippians 3:20-21. This is the thrilling climax to "the adoption" that took place at our conversion when the "Spirit of adoption" gave us the standing of an adult in the Kingdom of God. When Jesus returns, we shall enter into our full inheritance. Meanwhile we wait and hope as Paul writes in Romans 8v24: "For we are saved by that hope". What hope is this we ask? Paul elsewhere in Titus 2v13 describes it as "The blessed hope and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ" (Titus 2:13). The best is yet to come!! As people of the Kingdom of God, as God's children, we should not get frustrated as we see and experience suffering and pain in this world as we live in the Kingdom. As Christian believers we should know and remember that the suffering of today, will one day give way to eternal glory. c. The Holy Spirit groans. (vs. (25-30) Just as Creation groans and as God's people also groan, what about God? Is He a distant God who is not concerned with the sufferings of His creation or His people? By no means!! Our God is not a distant God but a God actively concerned for His creation and for His people! God is concerned about the sufferings we go through. He desires for the redemption of both His creation and His people! When Jesus walked the earth, He saw what sin was doing to men and women (Mark 7:34; John 11:33-38 ). Today God the Holy Spirit groans with us and He feels the burdens of our weaknesses and suffering. But the Spirit does more than groan: He prays for us in His groaning so that we might be led into the will of God. We do not always know God's will. We do not always know how to pray, but the Spirit intercedes for us so that we might live in the will of God even though we are suffering in some way. The Holy Spirit shares the burden with us as we endure and persevere. I would like to concentrate here on verse 28 and I like the way The Message paraphrases it "That's why we can be so sure that every detail in our lives of love for God is worked into something good." This verse surely ranks as one of the greatest verses in the Bible, Millions of Christians over the centuries have taken great comfort and hope from this verse. In all things God works for our good. Now the phrase, "all things" or as The Message puts it "every detail in our lives", includes not only the good, the happy and the pleasant things in life, but the bad, the unhappy and the unpleasant things as well. It includes evil, sickness and death. At the times when we are happy and things are going well, it is very easy to agree with this verse, But in times of trouble, this verse is hard to understand and still harder to believe. Now however, a question should naturally arise in our thinking, If in every detail of our lives, God works for our good does the term "all things" or "every detail" includes Satan and his evil works? Does God use Satan and his evil works for our good? You could argue from that position, that if the work of the devil can be used for our good, then Satan is not our enemy, but our friend. However, as part of biblical balanced believing, the Bible clearly teaches us that the Devil is our enemy. In this world, Satan and his evil works are looking to cause harm, not to help. For the thousands, if not millions, of Christians who have spent their lives in jail, or have been killed for the faith, we cannot possibly say that all things have been for their good in this world. Then, how are we to understand this verse? We must understand it this way. All the things that happen to us here on earth, God will work for our good in heaven. In the previous verses, we have learnt about our future hope and future glory. Therefore, in this verse the good that Paul talks about is heavenly good, not earthly good, On earth Satan's power is great but in heaven he has no power at all because he will not be there but rather cast away.. In heaven all of Satan's earthly evil will be turned to our good and to God's glory. But having said that, it is also true that God is concerned for our welfare in this life. He cares about our bodies, our health, even our food and clothing. Jesus said, "seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things (food, clothing etc,) will be given to you as well" (Matthew 6:33). When God allows trouble to come into our lives, He usually uses that trouble to bring about some good result in our lives here on earth (Romans 5:3-4; James 1:2-4). It is through troubles and that our faith is tested and made strong (1 Peter 1:6-7), Through various kinds of trouble God disciplines us, so that we might become more righteous (Hebrews 12: 7,10-11), We must also remember that God's power is much greater than that of he devil, and the devil cannot alter God's ultimate plan for our lives. The most important thing to remember about this verse, however, is that the promise given here is given only to those who love God, have been called according to His purpose and are therefore members of the kingdom of God. If we love God, are called according to His purpose, and therefore members of the Kingdom of God, then we can fully trust Him to work for our good in all things, Our hope is in God; He is faithful and able to fulfil all He has promised (Hebrews 10:23). Those that are in the Kingdom of God, that would call themselves believing Christians, should never give up in times of trial and suffering because God is at work in the world (Romans 8:28 ), and He has a perfect supreme plan (Romans 8:29), God has two purposes in that plan: our good and His glory. Ultimately we will all be like the Lord Jesus Christ. Best of all, God's plan will succeed - He has the victory and that victory was gained at the Cross of Calvary. It started in eternity when He chose us in Christ (Ephesians 1:4-5; 1 Peter 2), He predestined that one day we would be like His Son. Predestination applies only to those in the Kingdom of God, not to those outside the Kingdom, Nowhere are we taught that God chooses who will remain outside the kingdom, If people remain outside the kingdom, it is because they choose to, by refusing to trust and believe in Jesus Christ (John 3:18-21), Those whom He chose, He called (2 Thessalonians 2:13-14)' when they responded to His call, He justified them, and He also glorified them, This means that the believer has already been glorified in Jesus (John 17:22); the revelation of the glory awaits the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore how can we believers ever be discouraged and frustrated when we already share the glory of God? Our suffering today, guarantees much glory for us, when Jesus Christ, Himself returns in glory! 2. Freedom from fear of separation. Sometimes we fail to trust in God, when we go through hard times and suffering, It is natural for us to then think that maybe I am somehow separated from the Kingdom as a result of my failure, The emphasis of this section is the security of the believer, We do not need to fear the past, present or the future because we are secure in the love of Jesus. There are 5 reasons why we are secure and will never be separated from God if we belong to the Kingdom. a. God is for us (v 31). God the Father is for us and has proved it by giving His Son (vs. 32). God the Son is for us (vs. 34) and so is God the Spirit (vs. 26). Sometimes we are like Jacob and cry "All these things are against me" (Genesis 42:36), when actually everything is working for us. "If God is for us, who can be against us?" As we enter each day, we should realize that God is for us. There is no need to fear anything, for the loving Father desires only the best for His children, even if they must go through some suffering to receive His best. '''For I know the plan that I have for you', declares the Lord, 'plans for good and not for evil to give you a future and a hope'" (Jeremiah 29:11). b. Christ died for us (v 32). If when we were outside the Kingdom of God as non-believers God gave us His best, now that we are His children and within His kingdom, will He not give us all that we need? Jesus Christ used this same argument when He tried to convince people that it was foolish to worry and fear. God cares for the birds and the sheep, and even for the flowers in the fields; surely He will care for you! God is dealing with His people on the basis of grace, freely giving all things necessary to His people in His Kingdom. c. God has justified us (v 33). This means that He has declared us righteous in Jesus Christ and members of His kingdom. Satan would like to accuse us (Zechariah 3:1-7; Rev 12:1-10), but we in the kingdom of God stand firm in Jesus Christ. We are God's chosen in Jesus Christ and are accepted. God will not accuse us since it is He who has justified us. For Him to accuse us would mean that His salvation was a failure and we are still in our sins. We may accuse ourselves, and men may accuse us' but God will never take us to court and accuse us. Jesus has already paid the penalty and we are secure in Him. d. Christ intercedes for us (v34). Both the Holy Spirit and Jesus Christ pray for us (Romans 8:26-27, 34). The same Saviour who died for us is now praying for us in heaven. As Jesus is also our interceding High Priest, He can give us the grace we need to overcome temptation and defeat the enemy (Hebrews 4: 14-16). As our Advocate, He can forgive our sins and restore our fellowship with God (1 John 1 :9-2:2). Intercession means that Jesus Christ represents us before the throne of God and we do not have to represent ourselves. e. Christ loves us (vs. 35-39). In the previous verses, Paul has proven that God cannot fail us, but is it possible that we can fail Him? Suppose some great trial or suffering comes and we fail? What then? Paul deals with this problem and explains that nothing can separate us from the love God in Jesus Christ. Two points to note here. Firstly, God does not shelter us from the sufferings and hard times of life. He doesn't do that because we need them for our spiritual growth (Romans 5:3-5). As we read in vs. 28, God assures us that the difficulties of life are working for us and not against us. God allows trials and sufferings to come that they may be used for our good and His glory. We endure trials for His sake (Romans 8:36), and since we do, do you think that He will abandon us? Of course not! Instead, He comes closer to us through the hard times. Secondly, He gives us the power to conquer and overcome (vs. 37). We are more than conquerors, super-conquerors, for the Lord Jesus Christ. He gives us the victory and adds more victory. When Jesus Christ died on the cross and rose again 3 days later, victory was assured! Victory was won! We need not fear life nor death, events past, events today or events in the future, because Jesus Christ loves us and gives us the victory. This is not a promise with conditions attached. It is not "If you do this, God will do that." The security we have in Jesus is established, and we claim it for ourselves because we are in Jesus Christ. Nothing can separate us from Jesus Christ, so we should believe it and rejoice in it. Conclusion So in conclusion, we have seen that God is not distant but is close and personal. He cares for His creation and for His people through the indwelling ministry of God the Holy Spirit. We have seen that we will one day, have complete freedom from pain and suffering. We also saw that there is to be no fear from separation from God if we hold onto Him. God is for us. Christ died for us. The Holy Spirit lives within us. God has declared us His sons and daughters if we choose to follow Him. Jesus Christ prays for us and He loves us. So what about you? I guess there are two kinds of people here tonight. If you are a Christian here tonight, the torment and suffering we all endure today, are all part of living in the kingdom of God. As Christians, it is part of our Christian life to suffer for the kingdom, through such things as persecution. It is, as we look to the future, as we see that these things that are temporarily making us suffer, are conforming us to the image of Jesus and to the supreme glory of God, and not for ourselves. In any pain or suffering we endure, we shouldn't give up, because God has not given up. Get up and go from here knowing that God is holding your hand in these hard times. Keep holding to Him, because He is holding to you with his outstretched arms. We know from the book of Revelation that when that momentous day in history comes about, that our God will take our face in His hands and wipe away our tears of sadness. And if you happen not to be a Christian here tonight, one thing separates you from God now, and that is your own sin, which God did not create. If you are not yet a Christian and you are not in His kingdom, you are already separated from God. To be in the kingdom of God, you simply have to trust in Jesus, and believe in Him for your future. If that is you, please do not leave here today without talking to somebody about how you can take that step. Watersprings Church Podcast

Exodus 34:6-7 are the most quoted verses in the Bible. Lane states, "The text... is one of the most evocative of the Old Testament. The words and images of this text have inspired numerous parallels and countless echoes in the texts of ancient Israel. Parallels exist in all three of the major divisions of the Old Testament [the Law, the Prophets, and the Writings]. These parallels show that it was one of the most generative texts for the ancient community."Why? These verses are ground zero for the theology of God's Character. They speak directly to His steadfast love and faithfulness. The nature and character of the His Church, the assembly of loyal followers, must reflect the same personality and nature of God. Seem to make sense, right? If not, we will end up with an ugly orthodoxy and be labeled hypocrites at best.It is important to remember that the God of Exodus became flesh and is fully revealed in Jesus Christ (John 1:14-18; John 14:8-9). Therefore, we, the gospel community, are called to make Jesus known to all. (Matthew 28:18-20) For it is Jesus who has made the LORD God's love known to the world (John 3:16). As we build a Jesus-centered community, we must find it full of love, grace, truth, and justice. Now grace and truth are not in conflict but exist in beautiful agreement. The church must have both. There are good things we seek to cultivate (See John 15) and others that need to be and will be, weeded out in the future. Yet, we do not wish to destroy the good with the bad (See Matthew 13:24–43). So how do we balance these two issues? We don't. Jesus did it on the cross of Calvary. Some behaviors are welcomed and encouraged, and others are not permitted to be among God's people. The works of the flesh versus the fruit of the Spirit from Galatians Five is a great example. But we need to remember that those who most need the hope of the Gospel are not saved. Therefore, their actions, addictions, attitudes, and speech have not been redeemed, for their souls are still without the redemptive Spirit of God through faith. (John 1:12) Therefore, we are responsible for creating a church culture that reflects the beautiful nature of God as we reach out to the lost and the religious alike with God's love.ReferencesExodus 34:6-7Romans 2:4Psalm 108:4John 1:14-181 John 1:8–9-----Call us: 208.524.4747prayer@watersprings.netOnline Giving: https://watersprings.net/give.phpServe at Watersprings: https://watersprings.churchcenter.com/people/forms/8221CCLI Streaming License: 20080252 Size ECCLI Copyright License: 1406906 Size FDISCLAIMER: Closed captioning and/or transcription is being provided solely for the convenience of our viewers. Our Daily Bread Podcast | Our Daily Bread

A short story by Argentine writer Jorge Luis Borges tells of a Roman soldier, Marcus Rufus, who drinks from a “secret river that purifies men of death.” In time, though, Marcus realizes immortality wasn’t what it was cracked up to be: life without limits was life without significance. In fact, it’s death itself that gives meaning to life. Marcus finds an antidote—a spring of clear water. After drinking from it, he scratches his hand on a thorn, and a drop of blood forms, signifying his restored mortality. Like Marcus, we too sometimes despair over the decline of life and the prospect of death (Psalm 88:3). We agree that death gives significance to life. But this is where the stories diverge. Unlike Marcus, we know it’s in Christ’s death that we find the true meaning of our lives. With the shedding of His blood on the cross, Christ conquered death, swallowing it up in victory (1 Corinthians 15:54). For us, the antidote is in the “living water of Jesus Christ (John 4:13). Because we drink that, all the rules of life, death, and life immortal have changed (1 Corinthians 15:52). It’s true, we won’t escape physical death, but that isn’t the point. Jesus upends all our despair about life and death (Hebrews 2:11–15). In Christ, we’re reassured with the hope of heaven—not just a future of endless existence but of meaningful joy in eternal life with Him.

Who said that ALL things work together for the good?  What does that mean for you?  Has it been misquoted?  Has it been used out of context?   A friends mother died. Another friends mom just had heart surgery while fighting cancer- the son is taking care of her in his late fifties. A well known local just died. One of my deacons just got a kidney and is doing great One of my groomsman's wife of 37 years has colon cancer My old bosses kid just got a full ride to college A clergyman I know is contemplating moving out of his house away from his wife. Someone is celebrating 30 plus years of marriage Another is sad for being alone Someone else misses their mother who died a few years ago this time of the year.   My wife celebrates her birthday and goes back and forth between being her old self and a patient.  Last year she was in a coma.  She is scheduled for a new surgery in two weeks.  No one knows what will happen when the go back into her head.  She'll probably be dancing by new years.   If you like the speak life church podcast, please share a link with some one and ask them to subscribe.   Also it would be much appreciated if you prayed for me. I've been going through some stuff lately.  I've been sorting out thoughts, life choices, and listening to the pains and struggles of others.  It can wear you down.  And it is supposed to.  I realized today that it is the struggle that makes you better.  It is adversity that is your friend.  Trouble in your life can be good.  Thanks to all that have heard me moaning, complaining and gave me comfort.  I am not ok  but I have a better understanding of stuff.    Romans 8:28 can suck. And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.    You remember when I said that the Lord will put more on you than you can handle right?  OH YEAH, in case you missed it. Let me remind you.  You might get hit by a mack truck.  You won't be able to handle it.  You might die.  You might live but walk funny.  Doesn't seem right does it?  Romans 8:28.  How is that going to work for good? But our God is more powerful than all the forces of evil and all the rotten things that happen in our lives.  God took death itself and used it to redeem all of humanity.  He reached down into the depths of our brokenness and began the restoration process. God is taking all of creation, even the broken stuff, and renewing and redeeming it.   And so, we should not take Romans 8:28 and use it to try to console ourselves, or others, that any trials or tragedies will ultimately result in success, that God will turn things around, or that even failures and losses are somehow “good.”   Rather, we should focus on the more important truth that God is bigger than all our tragedies, all our losses and our failures.  Evil doesn't win. In fact, in Christ's death and resurrection, God enter into our brokenness and he redeemed the whole of it. It is in this way that I think that Romans 8:28 reminds us that all things will be worked out for our good Paul has been describing the life of Christians on this side of heaven as one of groaning as we long to escape the suffering of this life and to be with our Father God in person (Romans 8:18–23). We wait in the sure hope of the day our bodies will be resurrected and we will share in God's glory (Romans 8:24–25). What about all the hard things that come along while we are waiting? Paul seems to offer the promise of this verse as a comfort for us.   Crucially, though, this promise is limited to "those who love God," and "those who are called according to His purpose." In short, that means the promise is for Christians: for saved believers, who have placed their trust in Jesus Christ (John 3:16–18; 14:6; Romans 3:26). No matter our feelings on a given day, loving God is part of what it means to live in Christ. That's who we are. Each of us is also called to fulfill God's purposes. In other words, this verse cannot rightly be applied to non-Christians. Those who reject God do not express their love for God by coming to Him through faith in Jesus. For those who die without Christ, things will not have worked out for the better; they will have rejected the opportunity to take advantage of this promise (John 3:36). What is the promise? That, for those who are saved, all things will indeed work together for good. "All things" should be taken to mean each and every circumstance one might experience, even pain or suffering. "Work," or "work together," must be understood in light of God taking action in the world. He is the one who causes all things to work together or, perhaps, works in and through all circumstances toward a specific end. What is that end? "Good." The word "good" does not necessarily mean happy or painless or financially successful or our idea of the best possible outcome on any given day. God's ultimate good for us is to glorify us in eternity (Revelation 21:1–4). Beyond that, God works in and through us toward an ultimate good that serves His purpose for the universe. The comfort of the verse is that nothing in this life of waiting and suffering is wasted. It is all meaningful for those in Christ, even if that doesn't diminish our pain in the moment. And now lets talk about you and me. Stuff has happened.  You are going through.  Our bodies were made to adapt to stressors.  Fight or flight.  If you are in a hot climate, you sweat.  If you walk in the snow, you will get big quadriceps.  Big muscular legs.  If you work in the sun you will get tan or burn.    Life also does a number on you.  And you have a choice.  You always have a choice.  You don't have a choice of what happens to you, you have a choice of how you are going to react.  Is what just happened going to take me out or can I keep going?  It's sink or swim.  Live or Die.  Stand on your feet or live on your knees.  In nature, animals don't have a choice.  Some become food for a predator as soon as they are born.  You do.  We tend to think as soon as I get this I'll be alright.  And after you get that “thing” you find out that you are still not alright.  It is the hunger, the struggle, the need to adapt that keeps you younger, stronger, and happier.  We get more done before we go on vacation than we do afterwards.  We tell everyone about the trip and we clean the whole house in anticipation for the great trip.  The trip rarely is as great as we thought it was going to be.  You are left wanting. The person that obtains the big house, the great car and the money is often dissatisfied because they didn't enjoy the journey.  The kids that grow up in that house don't gain the desire to hustle and live mediocre lives where money is not their problem but they have plenty of them.  When you are fighting, you are goal oriented.  You are more focused.  You are involved.  What happens to the undisputed heavy champ of the world?  He usually gets fat and is beat up by a unknown “Rocky” that has nothing to lose.  I have traveled all over the world and I have partied with the rich and the poor.  The poor had more fun.  The parties were longer, the laugh genuine and food tastier.  What happens to the retiree that after thirty years of working like slave, finally gets to sit on his porch?  He has a heart attack and dies.  It seems unfair.  Who said life was fair? Life is a struggle.  Death is the absence of stress.  No bill collectors in the cemetery.  No one fighting with the Jones in there.  If you are going through something, and I know you are, because we are all either in trouble, just coming out of trouble or headed toward trouble don't sweat it.  It is not the end.  As long as you have life you have a chance and a choice.  Warren Buffet is a rich dude right?  But I heard he is not leaving his wealth to his kids.  Sounds hard right.  Sounds like pops is evil.  But I challenge you to think what if that was the greatest act of love he could do?  It will make them struggle.  It will make them fight.  It will make them stronger.  You ever seen a kid with a silver spoon.  Rich kids are some of the most jacked up kids you could ever find.  Some of our kids are going to be like that because they have never had to sell lemonade, cut grass, work for their allowance money.  They will become that little alien character from Area 51.  Pale white, large eyes and long fingers.  They are frail, can't stand the sun, have big eyes from playing video games and watching video, long fingers from texting.  But no muscle mass, small delicate things.  Nasty little creatures.  Look at all the trust fund babies.  Boring.  Look at all the stars that should have it going on, and they are miserable.  Look at what happens to people that win the lottery.  It's not the money.  Its not the fame.  It's the inability to adapt to the struggle.  Whatever doesn't kill you can make you stronger to paraphrase the atheist Frederich Nietche.  Our muscles grow by stress.  You want big arms, you have lift big weight.  You want endurance; you have to do a lot of repetitions.  Our whole being is a muscle.  No matter what you are going through, don't quit.  Don't stop believing in yourself.  You can make it.  You just have to go one more round.  Once you get to the top of the mountain, come on back down and find another.  If you have fallen, get up, rest and go again.  For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?  Matt 16:26 My God doesn't make mistakes.  My God doesn't make junk.  You were born in adversity.  Keep swimming upstream.  Because when you stop, either the bear will get you in the shallows, or you just die.  He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?  Romans 8:32 Keep striving.  Stay in the fight.  Stay in the struggle.  It's not over, till its over.  No more pity parties for me.  I think I understand now.  I think I get it.  I wrote down these words for myself for the times when I forget.  Frederick Douglass said if there is no struggle there is no progress.  Don't worry about what you don't get.  Don't worry what others have.  Don't compare yourself with anyone.  You are unique.  You are the only you there is ever going to be.  And its not over till your head hits the dirt.  That's my epiphany.  That is my understanding.  Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.  Keep praying.  Keep striving.  Keep on trucking baby. Psalm 15 - The Question and Answer Psalm

From the title we know that David is the writer of this Psalm. It is generally believed that he wrote it shortly after the ark of the covenant was brought back to Jerusalem, the Holy Hill of Zion. Remember the ark of the covenant was captured by the Philistines when Eli was the priest and judge over Israel (1 Samuel 4:11). When the Philistines sent it back, it eventually ended up in the house of Abinadab (2 Samuel 6:3). When David became king, he brought the ark back to Jerusalem and set up the tabernacle (2 Samuel 6). For the nation of Israel, the ark of the covenant was the dwelling place of Jehovah in the midst of His people. This is where God's glory and presence would make itself manifest to the people of God. David set up a tent, a tabernacle for the ark and the altar of God on the Holy Hill of Mt. Zion. In verse 1, David asked the question concerning who could enjoy the presence of the Lord. Then in the following 4 verses, he answers his own question. I read this Psalm shortly after I became a believer as a 19-year-old teenager. When I read the last verse, “He who does these things shall never be moved”, I was immediately interested in what “these things” were. I had a great desire to live a faithful and consistent Christian life and did not want to fall back into my “old” ways of living in the world. So, this is one of the first Psalms that I took the time to memorize. The Jewish rabbis taught that there were 613 commandments for the Jewish people to obey if they wanted to be righteous, but Psalm 15 brings that number down to eleven. Isaiah 33:15-16 gives six requirements to obey, and Micah 6:8 lists three. But Habakkuk 2:4 names but one which is faith. Because only by faith in Jesus Christ can you have your sins forgiven and be welcomed into the Lord's presence (John 14:6; Rom. 1:7; Gal. 3:11; Heb. 10:38). The psalm says nothing about offering sacrifices, for spiritual Israelites knew that it was their personal faith that brought them salvation (Mark 12:28-34). It's important to note that Psalm 15 is not a prescription for being saved but a description of how saved people ought to live if they want to please God and fellowship with Him. The list contains both positive and negative qualities, and these qualities must be present in all of life at all times. Believers who would fellowship intimately with God must follow David's example and meet three personal requirements. The first is to seek God's presence (v. 1). The second is to obey God's precepts (vv. 2-5a). And the third is to trust God's promise (v. 5c). David asked this question because he loved the house of the Lord (26:8; 27:3-5; 65:4) and desired in his heart to know God better and fellowship with Him in a deeper way. The priests could come and go in the house of the Lord, but David, though he was king, had to keep his distance. "Abide" means "to sojourn as a stranger," while "dwell" suggests a permanent residential status, but here the verbs are probably synonymous. Knowing about eastern hospitality, David wanted to enjoy the benefits of being a resident in God's house—enjoying God's fellowship, God's protection, and God's provision. The word "dwell" in the Hebrew is shakan and gives us the word shekineh, referring to the presence (dwelling) of God's glory in the sanctuary (Ex. 25:8; see also 29:46; 1 Chron. 22:19; Pss. 20:2; 78:69; 150:1). David's great desire was to be with God in heaven and dwell in His house forever (23:6; 61:4), for God is our eternal home (90:1). Believers today can enjoy intimate fellowship with God through Jesus Christ (John 14:19-31; Heb. 10:19-25). It is my prayer as we look at this Psalm that this will be the desire of your heart too! God Bless!

And whenever Moses went out to the tent, all the people rose and stood at the entrances to their tents, watching Moses until he entered the tent. As Moses went into the tent, the pillar of cloud would come down and stay at the entrance, while the Lord spoke with Moses. Whenever the people saw the pillar of cloud standing at the entrance to the tent, they all stood and worshiped, each at the entrance to their tent. The Lord would speak to Moses face to face, as one speaks to a friend. Then Moses would return to the camp, but his young aide Joshua son of Nun did not leave the tent. We will be kicking off our NEW summer series: Shocking Christ: The Jesus You May Not Know. The series will take us into different aspects of Jesus' life that are unexpected, in some cases shocking, but always hugely encouraging.

The David Alliance

Wake the Faith up Slayer… This is Garth Heckman with the David Alliance and you can reach me at TDAgiantslayer@gmail.com    Brought to you by wellbuiltbody.com Gym Apparel for men and women that rocks and shocks and ain't for everybody - but just might be for you. wellbuiltbody.com   John 2 First miracle water in to wine…      Jesus took a jar that was used for the outward of man… the cleansing of your body and used that clay jar for something it was not supposed to be used for. He was counter culture in what he taught, and how he taught.      John's mentioning of this detail is almost certainly meant to underscore the redemptive-historical transition from the recurring ceremonial requirements of the old covenant (Ex. 30:17–21) to the once-for-all washing of baptism in the new covenant (Rom. 6:3–5; Titus 3:5–6). This is Jesus' way of saying, “You won't be needing that anymore, for the new wine of the new covenant is here” *And noting another possible allusion, John has gone out of his way to tell us that the wine was drawn from stone jars. In this way, Jesus' miracle involves bringing forth wine from rock, revealing Christ to be the true and better Moses, for Moses brought forth only water from the rock (Ex. 17:6; Num. 20:8). Isn't this pattern in keeping with what John has already told us? The water of the law was given through Moses- he struck the rock Moses gave the law from the rock- stone tablets    *JESUS GIVES LIFE, GRACE, NEW WINE OUT OF THE ROCK!   Moses brought the 10 commandments. the law, it was work… it takes work to make wine… it didn't take work for jesus to make wine, because he saved us by his grace. Grace is the secret weapon to a fruitful life… when you do what Jesus says, and you understand his grace you see how he is the great life hack.    but the wine of grace came through Jesus Christ (John 1:17).       Why did he do it? To reveal his glory. its right there in the text. God will take our mundane and make him look good.  God takes our brokenness, our uncleanliness, our emptiness, our stone hearts and does the miraculous in order to make him look good, in order to Glorify the father. So what do we see in the whole story? God takes our hard hearts He sees our need, he calls us We obey him he does the miraculous and God looks good… Perfect. That is exactly what life is about.      They told the bride and groom you saved the best till last…. I BELIEVE THE BEST IS YET TO COME - in my life, in your life- regardless of age! If you do what Jesus says…
