This is Not the End - A 360 review on Regeneration After an incredible 7-year journey, Julian Guderley has recorded the 360th and (for now) final episode of Green Planet Blue Planet podcast. In this special episode, Julian is interviewed by his friend and collaborator Hope Paterson as they reflect on the genesis, evolution, and impact of the show. What started as a childhood dream of having his own "radio show" blossomed into a platform for sharing the voices and visions of inspiring change-makers from around the world. As Julian shares, his intention was to "meet some of the world's impact creators, people that make change, people that bring positivity to the world" through projects, businesses, art and more. Over 360 episodes, Julian has done just that - providing a space for authentic, insightful conversations that illuminate pathways towards individual and collective regeneration. The tagline "More than Sustainability" reveals the underlying ethos - going beyond superficial eco-trends to explore how to truly heal ourselves and build a more beautiful world. The Power of Authentic Conversations A central theme explored is the power of honest dialogue to connect, inspire and transform. Julian reflects that "every single person has something insightful, powerful and authentic to share" if you listen deeply. The intimate podcast format allows guests to "take off the makeup" and speak straight from the heart. Julian's own voice as a host also evolved greatly, sharpening his ability to "sharpen my opinions and own them" rather than holding back. As Hope notes, his "bold voice" and willingness to break rules allowed for brave, unfiltered exchanges. The Regenerative Renaissance One of the most powerful aspects of Green Planet Blue Planet was its role in uplifting and spreading the concept of "regeneration" and "regenaissence" - a rebirth and modern renaissance of regenerative thinking and living. Julian shares about celebrating the win of "contributing to the movement of people seeking a more beautiful world". The mission from the start was to create a platform to give a voice to elders and cultural leaders like: Bruce Lipton, Cynthia Jurs, Swami Chidananda, Charles Eisenstein, James Nestor, Alessa Berg, Daniel Christian Wahl and many more... The podcast surfed the "wave" of an evolving cultural consciousness. Balancing Ambition and Appreciation While celebrating the show's impact, Julian also explores the tension between ambition and contentment. As one of the top 2.5% most popular podcasts globally, there is success to appreciate. Yet the "competitive comparative culture" can breed a nagging sense of "what am I doing that it's not 100,000 listeners?" Ultimately, Julian seems to land in an understanding that trusting the intention behind your authentic expression is what matters most. The podcast created a "360 degree circle of regeneration" - and that completeness is worth pausing to honor. What's Next? Though Green Planet Blue Planet is ending for now, Julian and Hope are already flowing their creative energy into new channels like the "Breaking Rules of Business as Usual" video series. They are excited about facilitating more in-person gatherings that "dive deeper into one's own evolution" in an intimate group setting. As Julian shares, "This is not the end. This is just wrapping a 360 degree circle of the regeneration conversation." The wave of personal, cultural and planetary regenaissence continues to swell, with Julian riding alongside as a guide and catalyst. So stay tuned for whatever surprising form Julian's voice takes next as he keeps embodying the core message: Invest in "the bonds of relationships" as we co-create a more beautiful world. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/julian-guderley/support

This week's episode of Green Planet Blue Planet perfectly reflects Dana Meadows's messages from 1972 in her book Limits to Growth. More than a half-century later, humanity is still grappling with the same question. David Peter Stroh, author of “Systems Thinking for Social Change: A Practice Guide to Solving Complex Problems” dives into the subject of empowering individuals to create change when the world needs it most. "People don't need enormous cars; they need respect. They don't need closets full of clothes; they need to feel attractive and they need excitement, challenge, acknowledgment, love, joy. To try to fill these needs with material things is to set up an unquenchable appetite for false solutions to real and never satisfied problems." … Dana Meadows from the book Limits to Growth, 1972 Stroh outlines systems thinking in this episode of Green Planet Blue Planet with host Julian Guderley, beginning with the enormous question: What does the world need most from people? Simply - it is a deeper appreciation of where joy truly originates. Taught by the advertisers in the free market, people expect joy to come from the acquisition of stuff. With the gifting holidays approaching, it's definitely on peoples' minds and weighing heavy on hearts as they are bombarded with continuous messages to acquire more and more things. Stroh said research shows human joy comes from connecting: Connecting with nature, and being nourished by nature, connecting with other people, and certainly connecting with different experiences and different places. Starting out as a transportation designer in government, he ultimately gravitated toward the spiritual aspects of connections and his passion for acting, both useful to him in his next movement into the field of organizational development. This led him to question the conventional approaches to organizational development to shift to a focus on the underlying visions and aspirations and the way in which individuals relate to each other and the larger environment. Stroh co-founded Innovation Associates in the 1970s with Peter Senge, who in 1990 authored a book on the art and practices of learning organizations, entitled The Fifth Discipline, based on their pioneering work on systems thinking, which is core to understanding the often non obvious connections between different parts of an evolving system. Listen to the entire podcast and engage in the discussion to explore new perspectives on transforming our mindset for effective solutions to chronic complex issues, as well as navigating the paradoxes involved in gaining control of large and unwieldy systems. About Peter David Stroh David Peter Stroh is internationally recognized for his work in enabling leaders to apply systems thinking to achieve breakthroughs around chronic, complex problems and to develop strategies that improve system-wide performance over time. He has been described as “a magician” and “the master at providing interesting and useful ways to look at the complexity of systems thinking”, who “helped us tremendously in getting to the core issues” with “the mind of a scientist and the heart of a healer.” David is the author of the best-selling book Systems Thinking for Social Change: A Practical Guide for Solving Complex Problems, Avoiding Unintended Consequences, and Achieving Lasting Results (Chelsea Green, 2015), which readers praise as “an essential – and long overdue – guide to applied systems thinking” that “shows you how to enlist others in the effort” by “masterfully weaving metaphor, story, and practical tools” using “down-to-earth language.” --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/julian-guderley/support

The Arctic Circle may be a place that holds mystery. Elena Doms was born and raised there. She discusses her close up view and deep understanding of climate change with Julian Guderley in this episode of Green Planet Blue Planet. The Arctic is warming up faster than anywhere else on Earth but there are few people who can comprehend climate change in the way a native who has witnessed years of impact can, where new harmful effects can be seen every year. Elena discusses what it was like for her hometown, a community divided by a river that is usually frozen in the winter, safe passage over the ice in recent years has been trickier. In previous years the temperatures are normally 30 degrees below 0 Celsius but in recent years the temperatures have risen to just minus 7 to minus 10 degrees. During the pandemic, people had a difficult time getting to the hospital on the opposite bank. Engineers had to be more creative in their transportation solutions. Elena discusses the visible effects of pollution in the rise in air temperatures and the lack of rain. Thirty degrees in summer time is no longer abnormal. While Europe was flooding, her parents were having to water the plants daily for the first time. Now living in Belgium, Elena reflects on 18 years of living near the Polar Circle and her mission to create the largest soil and CO2 clean up in history with Nature through Earth Plus. Tune in to hear more about her fascinating journey and stories that will help everyone understand how drastically and quickly climate change is impacting everyone and everything around us. About: Elena learned how to grow plants and food 30 years ago as a child and dreams of rewilding cities and restoring nature all over the world, and for her own children. She uses plants to clean the soils of forever chemicals, capturing CO2 while creating a circular economy through nature-based solutions. She is an international speaker on sustainability and has managed cross-cultural teams of up to 500 people across Europe and Asia through bio-based circular materials. Elena is also an artist who uses her art as a beautiful way to inspire and educate. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/julian-guderley/support

If you are watching Web3 at all, you've likely run into many self-starters in Estonia. You may ask yourself: Why is Estonia the Silicon Valley of Europe? Stenver Jerkku, aka Stenver from Denver, who is actually from Tallinn, Estonia explains this phenomenon to Better Worlds Host Julian Guderley in this episode of Carbonomics. It's like this. Estonia is very cold and the nights are very long and dark. So what else is there to do but start companies and build tech online? That's one story. The other is that Estonia is also the birthplace of Skype, so there are some built in major tech successes to lead aspiring entrepreneurs that are pursuing Web 3 development. Estonia has only a population of 3.1 million people. However, since Skye's creation, about three generations of new techies have been nurtured and nourished into start-up founders or employees. since Skype was created, Stenver said. Low numbers of people and a small country causes an entrepreneur to think global right out of the gate. That's done by also creating tight knit communities in the “land of Unicorns” through the Estonian Founders Society. Stenver uses that community building strength thriving in Estonia within Top Tier Impact, which connects investors with entrepreneurs wanting to work on climate impact projects and to teach others how to start carbon projects with impact. Solid World DAO is rethinking and accelerating carbon supply chain financing through fair, transparent and liquid markets with blockchain in a fast-growing market expected to reach $50 billion by 2030. Stenver is a serial entrepreneur, having founded multiple startups besides Solid World DAO, like eAgronom, a post-series-A startup, Handyman and Click. Stenver has been involved with various impact-focused volunteering organizations, like the Estonian Founders Society, where he lead the board with Martin Villing(Bolt) and Sten Tamkivi (Taavet+Sten, Topia, NFT Port). Top Tier Impact, which connects impact-focused investors and entrepreneurs. Some members include Ambienta, the world's largest($1B) private equity fund focused exclusively on impact, and Agate €100M impact-focused fund. How do we use trading for good? How do you go from the dark side to the light side? Neil Cohn, founder of CodeGreen.org whose career first began with Glencore, now the largest commodity trading house, is a man of many questions. Each question leads to a new endeavor, now with the new nonprofit, CodeGreen, of which he is founder. Fortunately Neil asked the questions about carbon trading, leading to a life of problem-solving for climate change. Introduced to global warming at COP 3, the Kyoto Protocol Climate Change Conference, Neil began to see the impact and question how to go into fields where trading can be leveraged for good. Neil discusses with Better Worlds Host Julian Guderley his own consciousness struggle at the time early in his career, when he asked: How do traders start to change commodities to not be about the financers but to be more empowerment, and how to flip the trading on its head, because even though the countries have resources, they were not going to become rich countries because of governance. By the time Neil attended COP 6 in Den Hague, he had to face the reality and the hatred from those on the ground as environmentalists splattered his carbon trader team with fake blood as they left the conference. He understood the needle had to move all the way from corporations to the other side to find something that would work for change. As research is now showing that CO2 is also starting to affect human brain power, to think and to produce, Neil, who has experienced bodily harm due to the polluted environment himself, has developed the latest iteration of solutions through CodeGreen to respond to the climate crisis, now at a Code Red for humanity. CodeGreen.org is a blockchain-agnostic non-profit with a focused mission to deliver open source, interoperable, and scalable solutions to address the climate crisis and other global challenges. The team has deep interdisciplinary capabilities in computer science, carbon trading, climate policy, and financial market, using distributed ledger technology to overcome trust barriers and enable inclusive collaboration. Neil is an innovator in blockchain and sustainable finance who was instrumental in developing early markets for carbon, renewable energy, and biodiversity. He is passionate about leveraging decentralized finance to deliver on the best intentions of blockchain – sustainable growth and inclusive prosperity. How does the Healthcare sector impact climate change? Frederik Van Duers, CEO of Green Innovation Group, tells Better Worlds that global Healthcare accounts for 4 to 6 percent of carbon emissions. Why? The usual suspects, but also single use devices, drug production and waste. incredibly “When drugs and devices are purchased by hospitals they enter Narnia and nobody knows where they go when they are disposed of, how many are wasted or how many are put to use.” What helps? Delivering preventive service independent of material consumption that can be delivered through telemedicine, for instance. Can we advise people to do some of the habitual changes that are associated with better health outcomes, such as smoking? Prevention and preventive healthcare are the biggest opportunities to go to the inner circle of the circular economy. Speaking with host Julian Guderley, Frederik provides his impression of blockchain, land use technology and gives an overview of the Web 3 landscape in the healthcare sector. Green Innovation Group is a global boutique management consulting firm that promotes green tech companies. They work on projects they believe will decarbonize the healthcare sector, with some of their biggest sectors being Farming, meta and the healthcare sector at large, including insurance companies. Their mission is to work with organizations that want to be more sustainable, formulate and deploy their strategy, or to help executive strategies already in development. Green Innovation also focuses on capacity building, training staff who may not have sufficient knowledge about the circular economy to integrate into industrial processes. What is a holistic approach to Mangrove reforestation that addresses social impact, habitat development, global warming mitigation, positive climate change, bringing together technologies with community stakeholders to create prosperity? Working in the carbon market since 2011, mangroves are finally getting the attention they should have as a climate solution. In an interview with Better Worlds host Julian Guderley, Dr. Irina Fedorenko noted that the emerging market is still messy and not transparent because it didn't receive enough attention in the past few years. At first an underdog, she is now on point with the trends in the carbon market, working with VlinderClimate and Caux Dialogue, and other organizations in unison to democratize the market. Through a holistic approach, these organizations build teams and strengthen partnerships for mangrove reforestation projects, helping communities manage mangroves as a barrier between land and sea to protect land from increasing climate-change storms and the damage they bring. But they have a multitude of other benefits and through their efforts, communities see direct benefits that mangroves have on shoreline communities in social impact, habitat development and positive climate impact, and their own prosperity. Mangroves, which Irina refers to in this podcast as “magical trees” due to their vast ability to create better ecosystems. Specifically, mangroves stabilize the shores, protect land from sea, holding rich nutrients in the soil, and sequester five times the carbon dioxide of the Amazon rainforest, the most important carbon sink in the world. Irina talks with Better Worlds about how communities are benefiting from new mangrove-related business opportunities as well, citing new projects in Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Kenya and Senegal. Irina discusses how the shoreline communities are the key stakeholders in any mangrove effort. To help keep them engaged as stewards of their own environment, the partnership with these organizations brings to them 50 percent of the carbon revenue. Irina explains how this creates prosperity for community stakeholders and the roles of each partner, from upkeep to technological mapping to show sequestration in “almost” real time. BIO For the past seven years Dr. Federenko has been the Managing Director of Caux Dialogue on Environment and Security leading the conference team and organizing the dialogue on links between desertification, land restoration & conflict in the context of climate change. Advising on strategies and planning for the future content of the Caux Dialogue on Land & Security, in partnership with UNCCD & IUCN. Irina is also the Chief Carbon Officer at Vlinder where she works on creating most impact on Climate Change mitigation with Nature-Based Solutions. Bringing expertise on carbon markets, landscape restoration and technology. Irina co-foundedd the Kindness Collective 6 years ago. The Collective is a brand of natural detergent launched by the Oxford students social enterprise. It aims to provide a reliable source of livelihood to some of the rural and communities living in and around particular forest areas in India. Totaling over 100 million, the indigenous people are insulated from the technological, social and economic advancements of the modern world. While many of these people have never been to a school, they spend most of their time on the farms to grow enough for themselves or forage through the forests for food, fuel and medicinal herbs. Thanks to living in the lap of nature, the forest communities have accumulated a great knowledge system in utilizing herbs, fruits, flowers, seeds, nuts and barks of the forests in their lifestyles. Adding business skills and education to this knowledge, Kindness Collective promotes the use of these organic forest products and helps the local communities.
How do we, as planetary stewards, get carbon generators to remove more carbon? Where in the current carbon offset markets is the incentive to pull out more carbon? Nori is a company on a mission to reverse climate change by removing enough carbon dioxide from the atmosphere to lower the overall concentration of CO2 below 300 parts per million. Paul founded Nori in 2015 when carbon removal not even a topic of discussion. Paul tells Better Worlds host Julian Guderley that he couldn't find anyone who was pulling greenhouse gas-generating CO2 out of the atmosphere at that time. Nori began its journey to create a sustainable system that will remove billions of tons of carbon dioxide a year and create stewards of the carbon cycle. Nori is not an ag company, but it is focused on regenerative agriculture to move more carbon is the only method capable of scaling to millions of tons right now. Nori is focusing on the supply side to make it easier for suppliers to generate projects and sell projects through standardized pricing across the different types of carbon removal. In this Better Worlds podcast, Paul talks reversing climate change as an achievable goal once the core problem of organization and financing are addressed. #climatechange #carbonreversal #Nori nori.com www.betterworlds.com

How do we enhance the human experience in a world moving from a 2D space to a 3D with new AI tools, and not be owned by tech as it is in the 2D world? It's the the latest tech renaissance that will give us more time for our own lives, more spaces to communicate and experience new places in a better world. Co-founder & CEO of Stockholm-based Warpin Media Emma Ridderstad joins Better Worlds's host Julian Guderley to explore the social impact Web 3 tools have on our own welfare. An avid gamer in her teens, Emma brings a new perspective to the podcast this week with her views on a still male-dominated metaverse and her work to bring in more women creators to Web 3.0 tech. Before founding Warpin, Emma was the CEO of Familjeliv Media AB, Sweden's largest online parenting site, reaching over half of all mothers with children from newly born to six years old. Prior to serving as CEO of Familjeliv, she was CEO of Modern Women Media which is the owner of some of Sweden's leading websites for women between 16-40 years old. Through their various digital platforms, they reached approximately 2 million unique visitors each week. Warpin is a strategic partner to innovative brands entering the VR and AR platforms. They create a real brand value through VR/AR content, distribution, and context. Warpin is an early developer to Magic Leap. Other clients include H&M, AMB, Trygga Barnen, SPP, KRY, Childhood, Disney, Ferrarri, Clarion & Magic Leap, Migrations, Miljonbemanning, Uppsala Firebrigade, Facebook & Postnord. #web3women #AR #Warpin #WomeninMedia #Familjeliv # About Better Worlds Better Worlds is a communication and community building platform comprised of weekly podcasts, engaging international conferences and hack-a-thons to encourage and support the development of Web3 solutions. How do you lead? Leadership often gets confused with control, or even worse, domination. With bending people to our will and enforcing our way of doing things, but it doesn't have to work like that at all. The earth herself teaches us that systems thrive through balance, sensitivity and nuance. We are all part of the planet, so why would it be any different with people? As a leader, we have two choices. We can continue in the old way, placing ourselves above other people and working them for our own benefit, or we can imbue our leadership with the wisdom of nature. Julian Guderley believes that, like regenerative agriculture, which allows the natural world to teach us how to create ideal conditions for life according to its own unique complexity, we can return to the wisdom within ourselves and grow with the people around us. By opening our hearts to the unique strengths of every individual, by appreciating the intricacy and diversity of human nature, we can begin to practice regenerative leadership. Bringing people together from across the social, cultural and economic landscape of the world and providing them with the conditions to flourish and express their creative potential allows everyone to find their perfect niche. As a leader, therefore, we must nourish the world around us with wisdom, insight, guidance and support, empowering those around us, who can then go on to multiply our impact a hundred times over. Healing this world starts with healing its people, embracing who they are and channeling their gifts. This is the new paradigm of natural principles, organic intelligence and compassionate growth. These are some of the tips that Julian Guderley leaves us in this episode of The Resilient Minds Podcast. Julian Guderley is a Transformational Leadership Coach, Breathwork Facilitator & Teacher and a Movement Catalyst. He is on a quest to identify, interview & collaboratively empower the key players in the regenerative movement. Join us for an amazing conversation with Regenaissance leader, transformational leadership coach and award-winning podcaster Julian Guderley. We explore this time of reconciling polarities to understand our role as a keystone species in climate and social integration. Julian shares how critical it is for us to put life at the center and to live in harmony with nature, and how that is reflected back in our heart, mind, body and spirit. When we tune in and begin to recognize new ways of relating, there is an emergence that takes place which works for all systems of life. This is a state that we can design for, and when there is multi-stakeholder engagement, solutions to problems emerge through embodied experiences. We may not have all the answers this minute, but that's ok as long as we lean in and not wait for outside authority.
