Katie McDonald was in sales previously. Now she coaches women in self-care because of so many of us who have gotten burned out or just put ourselves last. Hear some of Katie's suggestions for your crazy busy life. She talks about "ME management"  It's all about self-care strategies because the fact is most of us are running on fumes and we're borrowing future energy to get through today. Katie wants to disrupt that. When we think about what we're able to create in a compromised state she wants to leverage the wellbeing that we can create through our habits. Katie also says that to create sustainable change and also have a legacy, leave a legacy behind that's intentional and come from a place of nourishment and restoration instead of deprivation and denial is the goal.  More about Katie: https://www.linkedin.com/in/bnourished/ https://bnourished.com/ More about Women Sales Pros - we have a website, we are on LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram.  Subscribe to our 2x a month news, and share the podcast with others! On paper, Katie McDonald had it all. She was an international sales rockstar who beat the competition and crushed her goals in the U.S., Europe, and Canada. But Katie's relentless drive for productivity came at the expense of everything that mattered: her relationships, her time, her health, and her emotional well-being. The demands of her corporate career occupied her every waking moment. Then, one day, she missed one meeting. One. Her mental health was already precarious; that's all it took to push her over the edge. Facing life-threatening mental and physical health crises, Katie's have-it-all-together world was quickly crumbling. She had to take action for herself – immediately. Katie left her corporate career behind…and life started to get better. As she started to move past her self-destructive patterns, Katie made meaningful investments in her well-being. Then, something incredible happened: after years of trying and failing, Katie conceived a child. By letting go of her perfectionist habits, she started making intentional choices. For the first time in her adult life, Katie started implementing what she knew about self-care but had never practiced. Today, self-care is at the center of everything Katie does. Fully recovered from years of self-neglect, she now coaches fellow-doers to embrace self-care so they can lead healthier, more intentional, and more nourished lives. As a speaker, Katie leads with tough love to inspire, empower, and challenge audiences. She dispels the myth that self-care is an obstacle to productivity and teaches that self-care is, in fact, a tool to create a more powerful and impactful legacy. In this week's Work From The Inside Out podcast, learn more about Katie's journey: Katie created the b.nourished planner to give anyone, anywhere, who's ready to leave their detrimental habits in the past a day-by-day, step-by-step guide to practicing self-care. She will be the first to tell you “thriving” isn't a permanent state of being but an everyday journey of small triumphs and setbacks.   Learn more and connect with Katie here: https://bnourished.com/ https://www.linkedin.com/in/bnourished/ https://shop.bnourished.com/pages/

Getting to Clarity: Creating MORE Success With Less Sacrifice

Many of us view self-care as time that would be better spent on getting things done. But self-care is actually key to professional and personal success. Katie McDonald learned the hard way. The process of mastering a high-intensity career came at a huge cost, followed by the responsibilities of motherhood after leaving corporate life. Katie's chronic self-neglect led her to the depths of overwhelm, depression and illness. By creating the b.nourished program, Katie has curated proven practices from her personal recovery and decades of study into an executive wellness program that fosters mindfulness, peace-of-mind and productivity. A dynamic self-care strategist with clients across the nation and abroad, Katie McDonald helps executives and entrepreneurs to get things done — without coming undone — while envisioning and achieving the best versions of themselves.

Katie McDonald, a speaker, self-care strategist, and creator of the b.nourished planner, wants you to make time for YOU. The key is building a relationship with yourself, and nourishing that relationship to magnify your abilities. “The one permanent relationship we have is the one with ourselves. Yet it's the relationship that we neglect the most. Self care is self awareness.” Katie declares that people who do self care are more successful in their work. “The people who are using those self care tools to give them mental energy, clarity, and stamina - they are catapulting way ahead! It is a tool that we are underutilizing, but it is a great strategy for being more impactful and leaving a legacy of which you are proud.” In this episode, Katie McDonald examines self care strategies to get real with yourself, manage your expectations, and get the most out of life.
