With music & lyrics by Jimmy Dowd & Kevin McCann and book by Nicole Judy Vardon, 'Healter Skelter' has Moon dissatisfied with her noughties life and facing rejection from her father, she drops acid and escapes back in time to 1960s California, to meet the ultimate rock n' roller Charles Manson. Moon meets the Family at the height of their popularity and is quickly immersed. Little does Moon know, but she's about to play a part in the infamous Manson Family murders and trial. As we move in and out of Moon's trip, through Moon's eyes, we see the cracks in the various systems that still govern us today. But as the trip wears off, Moon is forced to confront her own inner demons, and how she too plays a big part in how demons and monsters are created. We allow people to build walls around us; is it for protection, out of fear, perhaps protecting our sense of what OUR TRUTH is regardless of facts? And how do we separate "the legend" from "the facts"? Or do we crown someone we love to hate? We needed a scapegoat and Charles Manson was perfect. https://www.healterskelterthemusical.com/

Social Yet Distanced: A View with an Emotionalorphan and Friends
Culture Matters are proud to introduce the first in their new series of digital poetry pamphlets, Deleted Scenes by Kevin Patrick McCann, with a virtual launch and author Q&A. An unsettling poetic riff on the 1963 film The Haunting, and the book that inspired it, The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson, McCann's poems traffic in the uncanny and the unsaid, merging moments from across the house's long and morbid history into a single, though unstable, present. Just as Jackson's novel is a story of frustrated passions and repressed pain, McCann's poems also deal in the missing, the buried, the deliberately obscured. Join us online for an evening of haunting - in every sense - poetry and a compelling discussion of all things spectral. The event will feature readings from Kevin Patrick McCann + special guest (TBC), with a lively Q&A with editor, Fran Lock. We hope to see you there! Tommy Williams and Kenny Forgione have been leading the Long Island based tribute band Wonderous Stories since 1994. The group of musicians also including Ricky Martinez, Kevin McCann and Mark Bonder started out as a YES tribute band and began incorporating other mainly progressive rock songs and artists in their repertoire. The band grew a massive following locally and started playing much larger venues while Tommy Williams joined the band The Hooters in 2010 and tours with them internationally. In 2009 Kenny and Tommy launched the "Concert for Bangladesh Revisited" which recreates the original George Harrison led benefit concert annually at venues in the NY metro area. The 3 hour long extravaganza is set to return this year at the Tilles Center for the Performing Arts on November 26th, 2021. Over the years the concert has featured special guests including members of Paul McCartney & Wings and The Young Rascals as well as our host, Jann Klose. facebook.com/groups/681898382676031
When I first started consulting I was primarily focusing on helping companies scale, and improve sales and business development. In the last several years as we have focused more on succession and transition in business, I have noticed that many companies and families are growth directed and want to continue that growth. They want to scale a business in a predictable way. My guest on this show and friend Kevin McCann owns a company that helps businesses clarify who their market is, how to target that market in a meaningful way, and how to build a process to actually convert customers. We have some great conversation here about how many businesses get in their own way when looking at growth and what you can do about it. What you'll learn in this episode: How to unpack your definition and roadmap to success in your company The commonalities between all companies that have the smoothest successions and exits One of the biggest mistakes organizations make in their communication with prospects The four-step framework Keven uses when helping organizations get ready to go to marker How to get the attention of your ideal client Why advertising tools aren't they answer to your marketing problems The number one missing element in most advertising campaigns How to break through the noise and vet out resources that can truly help you with lead gen A resource that can turn around qualified leads in two weeks or less The three buckets to look at when systemizing your advertising Resources: www.Lead-launcher.com www.revenuegrowthmastery.com LinkedIn - https://www.linkedin.com/in/kevinamccann/

Kevin McCann of the Executive Strategy Group, gives actionable logical, simple, but wildly important tips in this episodes. Here's one to start, if we take something just as fundamental your website. Take the first, top five pages of your website. Look at your navigation. Print out those pages. Go grab a yellow and green highlighter. You'll have to listen to this episode for the insights and assessment you can do right now. Then, he praises one of his partners, HubSpot, but admits there is something missing. On the buyer persona, typically, it's, "Who is your ideal customer?" What vertical industry are they in? The standard demographic, size of company, title, revenue, growth, trajectory, vertical industry, et cetera. You'll have to listen to get the rest of what's missing and how he solves it with Revenue Growth Mastery He also goes through what is the REAL pain you are solving. It's not what you think 90% of the time. "The value of your offer needs to be relevant to the impact that the customer is experiencing with their challenge. Most sales reps totally miss that." No Ounce Wasted How do we keep innovating and diversifying as a small business? How do we bring staff along and build them up? How do we keep growing as a one-location shop? McCann's Local Meats continually finds new ways to connect with their community and keep their business authentic and successful. Even during Covid-19, they have developed a new meat vending machine (we have been dreaming of this for years). Kevin McCann began cutting at the Culinary Institute of America. "My first day of class with Tom Schneller I was hooked." He then worked for the The Hudson Valley Sausage company doing hog roasts, several hundred pounds of sausage each week, and deer processing during the season. After graduation he was hired as a Teaching Assistant Back in the Meat Room. As a production manager at DeBragga and Spitler, he learned the art of dry aging and understanding the wholesale side of butchery. After cooking for a few years, he got the opportunity to apprentice at Fleisher's. He found a co-op of farmers in Madison County, NY that were in the process of opening a butcher shop, but didn't have a butcher. Kevin created their entire fresh meat, deli, sausage, and further utilization programs, and they continue to grow and thrive to this day. Kevin and his wife Yeonmo opened McCann's Local Meats in Rochester, NY in 2015. They source our animals from within 60 miles of the shop. McCann's is also a restaurant and have a robust soup and sandwich menu, various prepared foods sold by the pound, and offer the option to choose anything from the fresh case to be cooked on site. kevin@mccannslocalmeats.com http://www.facebook.com/mccannmeat/ http://mccannslocalmeats.com ~ More About No Ounce Wasted ~ Profit margin perils, mental health crises, employee challenges. Meat it's whats for dinner! Kevin McCann has a deep infatuation with meat fabrication that started at the Culinary Institute of America. His first day of class with Tom Schneller got him hooked. After various jobs, including a time with DeBragga and Spitler where he learned what the best restaurants in NYC were ordering for their menus, his career got fully in motion during his apprenticeship at Fleisher's. Having a background in cooking and cutting really allowed Kevin the opportunity to appreciate the bigger picture while training. There was literally as much meat as he could possibly cut, and he was already formulating utilization ideas to complement the vast array of cuts they taught him to isolate. And by pure dumb luck, Kevin found a co-op of farmers in Madison County, NY that were in the process of opening a butcher shop but didn't have a butcher. He created their entire fresh meat, deli, sausage, and further utilization programs, and they continue to grow and thrive to this day. With that experience now in his belt, and with the confidence of seeing it work in a small city, Kevin and his wife Yeonmo opened McCann's Local Meats in Rochester, NY in 2015. They source their animals from within 60 miles of their shop where it's all grown hormone, preemptive antibiotic, and steroid free - 100% grass fed beef, pastured pork and poultry. McCann's also acts as a restaurant and they have a robust soup and sandwich menu, various prepared foods sold by the pound, and offer the option to choose anything from the fresh case to be cooked on site. The power of self-love and self-forgiveness on Kevin's journey He's also a member of the U.S. team for the 2020 World Butchers' Challenge taking place in Sacramento, CA!
