Anger & resentment can be very heavy and destructive emotions to carry around. They keep us in a place of discontent, frustration, and bitterness preventing us from feeling at peace and in a place of acceptance of ourselves, our lives, the choices we've made or things that have happened to us. Often the person we most need to forgive is ourself. Yet that can feel like a Herculean task when anger seems to fire up inside of us when certain people, memories, or thoughts come to mine. So what can we do with our anger and how can we move into a place of Divine Freedom freedom through forgiveness? On this Divine Feminine solo episode I discuss the importance and power of exercising forgiveness, the repercussions of holding onto anger, and how to practice making peace and expressing forgiveness on the spiritual plane if we're not able to forgive someone fully in person.Archangel Oracle Cards | Doreen Virtue, Ph.D : https://tinyurl.com/2nt567v6 Join the Women Waken Community on Instagram Here: https://tinyurl.com/522duz2c Feel free to reach out to me to see how we can work together and send your questions, feedback, and requests for future solo episodes here: Whitney Walker, LMFTLicense # 107082www.WomenWaken.comhttps://www.psychologytoday.com/profi...Whitney@WomenWaken.comIG: @WomenwakenYoutube: @womenwaken
Welcome to the You Have time podcast, a short form podcast, uploaded every Tuesday, that provides you with mindfulness prompts and meditations to help you live your best life. In today's episode, I discuss strong emotions, such as anger and resentment, and provide a meditation to help you diffuse strong emotions at any point in time. Anger is such a strong emotion, and we often feel anger in reaction to circumstances or people we can't control. Imagine that last incident that you had where someone really made you upset or where you were upset over a situation that you couldn't control. How did you feel in that moment? Did you feel emotional or that you had a loss of control? How did you feel maybe an hour after? OR even the next day? Did you still feel the same strong emotion? Maybe not. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/youhavetimepodcast/support

On this episode of "Let's Talk Purity," Richard and Brittni tackle the power of forgiveness, exploring Jesus' transformational words on the cross, and why we must persevere and forgive others — even those who are unapologetic. After mentioning Christ's stunning act of forgiveness during his crucifixion when he told the Lord of his mockers and murderers, "Forgive them, Father, for they know not what they do," Richard explained why grace is so essential. "Without forgiveness, we wouldn't see a resurrection," he said. "A lot of us, we want to see a resurrection, we want to see God revive and restore things in our life, but are we willing to forgive? And I truly believe that forgiveness and resurrection go hand-in-hand."He added the ramifications of not forgiving are potentially sweeping and can hamper us. "If we are going to see God use us in a mighty way, then we have to be able to be quick to forgive," Richard said. "And I think that's so hard for people." Brittni added another important detail: sometimes, people don't realize the full scope of their negative actions. "People are always aware of their actions, but they're not aware of what it's actually doing to themselves or others," she said, pointing back to her own past as a porn star before coming to the Lord. "I didn't realize that I was living a life of sin, that I was leading people into sin."Brittni added, "We've got to be the type of people that can forgive and understand that, if they truly understood what they were doing, they woudn't be doing it."The couple explained the importance of finding peace and letting go of unforgiveness. "When you hold onto unforgiveness you're going to ... harbor pain," Richard said. Come on a journey with me as I describe a visualization meditation I did in order to process sadness and anger. My intention is to show you a specific tool you can use to process emotion, so that you might be able to use it yourself. This episode is raw, vulnerable and spiritually sacred. Many people from the scriptures had to flee their own family who wouldn't or couldn't love them, so why not me? Full show notes Schedule a free coaching session
Holding on to anger and resentment is something we all find challenging at some stage of our life, but we need to learn how to let it go in order to move forward. In this episode, I talk about how I have found peace with people or things from my past that have hurt me in the hopes that it may help you if you are struggling with it yourself (and it doesn't necessarily involve forgiveness). This week is my birthday week and in thinking about my birthday and the best gift that I ever gave myself, I was reminded that it's not in the actual material gifts but in the forgiveness to myself and others. “Letting Go of Anger” is by far the best gift I gave myself. Some of the ways I have learned to Let Go of Anger are:1). Identify and Acknowledge the anger2). Understand the Anger and that it originates from feeling powerless3). Express the anger and learn to sit with it4). Practice Mindfulness5). Be Nice and don't engage when you are angry6). Focus on the childrenRemembering Bishop Desmond Tutu's words: “In a way, to forgive is the best form of self-interest, because I'm also releasing myself from the bonds that hold me captive, and it's important that I do all I can to restore [the] relationship. Because without a relationship, I am nothing, I will shrivel.” Webster's New World College Dictionary defines the word forgive: 1. To give up resentment against or the desire to punish; stop being angry with; pardon; 2. To give up all claim to punish or exact penalty for (an offense); overlook; 3. To cancel or remit (a debt). Forgiveness and letting go of anger is the best gift you can give yourself.Deborah Lenee'
Holding on to anger resolves nothing. In fact, it makes you feel awful. You know that saying that people use about anger making your blood boil? That does not sounds fun. Sometimes it seems impossible to get rid of anger. And if you allow it to it can grow it can turn into rage... and then bitterness. Why hold on to that if there is a simple but truthful way of letting it go. Some situations are easier than others. It depends on how tight you are gripping onto it. Nonetheless, the action of letting go is all the same. #meditation #calm #stillness #guidedmeditation #interactivepodcast #soulsearch #hope #peace #lifeinthespirit Song: Sappheiros - Falling (Ft. eSoreni) Music provided by Vlog No Copyright Music.
