What if the thing holding you back from your next breakthrough isn't a lack of skill—but a lingering sense that you don't belong? In this powerfully honest episode of the Expert Speaker Podcast, executive coach and “Forgiveness Coach” Dionne Nicholls-Germain sits down with Majeed to explore the deeper roots of imposter syndrome, and why so many high-performing women secretly question their worth—despite the titles, accolades, and success. Dionne shares how unforgiveness (especially self-unforgiveness) quietly sabotages leadership, fulfillment, and confidence—and how reclaiming your power starts with a radical practice of compassion and courage. Drawing from her own story of reinvention, her keynote work in boardrooms around the world, and the tools in her 90-Day Conquering Unforgiveness Journal, Dionne equips us with a new lens for personal growth, executive leadership, and emotional freedom. Key Takeaways: Imposter Syndrome isn't about ability—it's about worthiness: Even top performers secretly fear being “found out.” High achievers often hide: Playing small and avoiding risks is a common coping mechanism for fear of being wrong. Confidence is built through action, not affirmation: Courage is the bridge between fear and confidence. Unforgiveness drains energy and blocks progress: It shows up in relationships, stalled careers, and self-sabotage. Forgiveness is a leadership superpower: Releasing old narratives builds emotional intelligence, decision-making clarity, and inner peace. Women leaders are still navigating systemic pressures: True belonging requires internal healing, not just external accomplishments. Notable Quotes: “At some point, someone's going to find out I don't belong.” “Confidence doesn't come before the action—it comes from the action.” “Forgiveness is not a feeling—it's a conscious decision to release what's no longer serving you.” “If you're feeling stuck in your career, your purpose, or your relationships—check your heart.” “Forgiveness is good business.” Meet the Guest: Dionne Nicholls-Germain is a professionally trained Life & Leadership Coach known as The Forgiveness Coach. After leaving a 20-year corporate fashion career as a single mom at 40, Dionne reinvented herself—and now helps other women do the same. Through her company Live Your Best Life for You, she empowers female executives and entrepreneurs to heal, lead, and thrive. She is the creator of the Conquering Unforgiveness Mastermind, author of The 90-Day Conquering Unforgiveness Journal, and an international speaker featured in Forbes, Negotiate Anything, and global leadership events from New York to Lisbon. In a recent episode of my podcast, I had the pleasure of interviewing Brenda Adelman, an award-winning actor, forgiveness coach, and a beacon of resilience. Brenda's journey from personal tragedy to forgiveness and healing is nothing short of inspiring. In this blog post, I'll share some of the key insights from our conversation.Meeting Brenda AdelmanBrenda Adelman is not just an accomplished actor but also a recipient of the Hero of Forgiveness award. Her one-woman show, "My Brooklyn Hamlet," is a testament to her life story of forgiving the unforgivable. Beyond her acting career, Brenda is a teacher and mentor for mission-driven performers and small business owners, helping them create successful TEDx-style talks and one-person shows.I first met Brenda at her summit, where she was a gracious host. Her content led to incredible transformations for the participants, a testament to her ability to inspire and guide others.Brenda's Origin StoryBrenda's life took a tragic turn when her father killed her mother and married her aunt. This defining moment could have led her to withdraw, but instead, she chose to move forward with forgiveness and healing. Her acting background helped her express herself and cope with the tragedy, leading her to create her one-woman show and eventually pursue a master's degree in spiritual psychology. The Importance of Healthy BoundariesDuring our conversation, Brenda emphasized the importance of setting healthy boundaries. She suggested using a scale of 1 to 5 to gauge one's feelings towards someone, with 1 being intense hatred and 5 being neutrality or even sending positive energy to that person. She also recommended tools like free-form writing and expressing anger in a safe and healthy way, such as through therapy or primal scream workshops.Brenda shared an example of setting a healthy boundary with an abusive family member during the holidays. Instead of avoiding the family gathering, she suggested not staying in the same home as the abusive sibling or setting a time limit for the visit if negative behavior arises. This way, one can still show love and support for their mother while protecting their own well-being.The Power of ForgivenessBrenda's journey of forgiveness was initially painful but ultimately healing. She explained that expressing anger is crucial for forgiveness to occur. I shared my experience setting boundaries with my family and emphasized the importance of forgiveness in the process.http://facebook.com/brendaadelmanhttps://facebook/com/groups/soulstorytribe Venturing into Fashion TechExploring the convergence of fashion tech, entrepreneurship, and fashion business. How much of your emotional pain and suffering is your fault?Even if you have been wronged or hurt, how long will you continue to hold on to that pain? The first step you can take toward feeling better is the act of forgiveness. Of course it will not be easy, but you can begin to live a better life right now by choosing forgiveness. But what does this really mean?In truth, it is our ego and our pride that hold on the pain and suffering we've experienced. We internalize those hurtful acts and we begin to see ourselves as victims. In fact, if we allow it, our ego can cloud our judgements about the world, leaving us cynical and bitter. But we can begin to release that pain and start healing when we choose not to give our peace of mind to someone or something else. Forgiveness means taking the responsibility to move forward with our life. But how can we do this?In this episode, Patrick speaks with ACIM Forgiveness Coach Luc Bouchard who shares practical tips to regaining your peace of mind, battling depression, overcoming limiting beliefs and learning to give up the overwhelming need to control everything. He also shares deep insights into the process of forgiveness. If you're ready to take steps towards feeling better, healing your trauma, and moving forward, free of pain, this is the episode for you. The Second Phase Podcast - Personal Branding & Brand Marketing and Life Strategies for Success for Female Entrepreneurs

Forgiveness can lead to the transformation of self and relationships. But the question is, how to forgive when life and people have been so challenging? How to forgive when you've been holding onto hurt for so long Carrie realized that if she was going to help other women live their best lives she was going to have to figure out how to forgive the people in her life who had hurt her. Holding onto unforgiveness is like a brick in your life. It's like a brick weighing you down as you are thrown into the water and if you don't get the brick off, you will drown. Robyn shared how her anxiety always manifests in her stomach, similar to how Carrie said that the stress and unforgiveness were eating her up from the inside out. When we have negative emotions, anger, bitterness, and unforgiveness, they harbor themselves physically because of the intricate connection between the brain and body. How to forgive ourselves knowing that forgiveness is a gift we give ourselves As Carrie began to study forgiveness, she realized that if she forgave, she would be giving her offenders a free ticket out and they would be able to hurt her again. She was thinking that forgiveness and reconciliation were one and the same, but they are not. How to forgive when afraid of the past The first thing Carrie did was to educate herself on what forgiveness is. Forgiveness is a gift we give ourselves. It doesn't mean that you have to reconcile the person or give them a free pass, they still have consequences. We do not have to accept consequences on ourselves or have these people in our lives. Carrie then found the Hawaiian forgiveness prayer, which includes saying thank you. It is also important to ask for forgiveness for harboring the anger for so many years. Saying I love to the person who hurt you is also important because you'll see that they helped you learn more about yourself. Likewise, saying thank you to your offenders is a key part of being able to forgive. It helps you be aware of the people you hurt as well. Asking for forgiveness is also a huge part of this journey. And, having gratitude for the person or the emotions you experience can help you grow and move through the pain. Things don't happen to you, they happen for you. When you see the opportunity of growth or the positive in the experience, which may be hard to do, you can feel gratitude and move closer to forgiveness. Recognize the power of seeking forgiveness When we don't seek forgiveness, we harbor that as guilt and become bitter towards ourselves. Recognizing that the feelings exist is so important for being able to forgive and move forward in life. Some of the symptoms that can be recognized when you are harboring negative feelings and unforgiveness are bitterness, irritability, fatigue, the inability to sleep, feeling bad physically, etc. When you look at a situation or person who has hurt you, it is important to remember that things don't happen to you, they happen for you. This is the key to being able to thank someone for the experience you had with them. Realize that you grew as a person and learned more about yourself than you would have otherwise had the opportunity to learn. Every experience you've gone through enables you to help someone else. Forgiveness is such a freeing process. The gift of forgiveness that you give yourself is transforming. If we don't forgive, we won't be able to enjoy the life that God put forward for us. How to forgive, steps to take to reach forgiveness Forgiveness is a process. It can be one step forward and two steps back. Even when you forgive, something may trigger you, and you have to then start over. Journaling is so powerful for forgiveness. Start by writing the person's name and what they did to you to hurt you. Then write forgive me for holding onto this for so long and let me offer you love as you journey forward. Forgiveness takes time, especially if you have held onto this for so many years. Sometimes, we can find compassion for what had happened to the person to cause them to do such harmful things to us. When things happen to children, they don't have the ability to discern what is happening to them and they carry those things with them and end up performing the same acts to others. This is all part of mental health and if people don't get the help needed, not only can they not find forgiveness, but they live a very dysfunctional and hurtful life. Robyn reminded us that Jesus died for our forgiveness and calls us to forgive others. The amount of grace it takes for us to forgive is so much less than the grace we need and what Jesus sacrificed for us. Quote of the day In the middle of difficulty lies opportunity. - Albert Einstein About Carrie Verrocchio Carrie Verrocchio is an expert at helping women connect with themselves so they can tap into their lost dreams for their lives and make them a reality. For the past couple of episodes, we have been focusing a lot on mental health and how to overcome the many hurdles we are facing in our lives. And you've likely heard A LOT that meditation can be a powerful tool for mental health and wellbeing, right? Well if you're anything like me, when I first started dabbling in meditation it seemed like a tool that is "ideal" but not really "doable". And as a recovering perfectionist, if I can't do it "right" then I may as well not do it at all. Sound familiar, or is that just me?? I had to learn how to make meditation and mindfulness work FOR ME instead of it being yet another thing I was failing at. Here are some things that helped me get started: - Giving myself permission to keep it short and sweet. Even 30 seconds was "enough" - Inviting mindfulness into everyday moments, like washing the dishes or observing my kids play - Offering loving kindness to myself and others during natural "downtime" like waiting in line or at a red light. - Seeing it as an opportunity to model imperfect action to my kids These practices have been instrumental in helping me be a more present, aware, and attuned mom AND have directly enabled me to be able to get the coveted "PAUSE" so I can respond rather than react when I'm triggered or overwhelmed. If you're wanting to learn more about how mindfulness and meditation can help you as a parent, and maybe even your child when they are overwhelmed, you'll definitely want to check out this week's episode! To help me in this conversation, I am joined by Keli Carpenter. She is a Chopra Center certified Transcendent Meditation (PSM®) instructor, Forgiveness Coach and Breathwork Practitioner, and a mother herself! Her commitment to maintaining her practice has allowed her to raise three beautiful children with mindfulness, overcome limiting self-concepts, and experience unity consciousness.Find more show notes here: www.laurafroyen.com/podcast

How can you make this holiday season your best one yet – even if your results aren't exactly what you hoped for and you're wrestling with big questions about your consulting and coaching business? This is what I talk about with forgiveness coach and speaker Brenda Reiss. She is an expert in helping people let go of hidden resentments so that they can activate their highest potential in their careers and lives. Brenda and I have a meaningful conversation about: The sneaky ways that hidden resentments jack up with our mindset and confidence The misconceptions about forgiveness and why it's so much more than an ethereal virtue Why giving people who harm us a pass stands in the way of forgiveness The role that forgiveness plays in gratitude and being present in our lives How to turn forgiveness from an aspiration to a daily self-care skill and practice Where to dive in: [5:44] Hear about Brenda's background and how she found forgiveness work. [10:32] When did forgiveness work help Brenda from a physical and an emotional standpoint? [12:20] Hear the belief that all cancer patients have in common and how it relates to forgiveness work. [15:19] Science shows we are energetic beings, hear about how tension in our bodies manifests and influences forgiveness work. [17:35] What Brenda would say to someone who is blindsided and blames themselves when betrayed. [20:00] How do you balance being an open-hearted person without being judgemental and having boundaries? [23:13] How would Brenda apply forgiveness work to someone who left corporate or is burnt out? [28:27] What's underneath the desire for security and perfection? Discover the root, so you can stop sabotaging yourself. [30:21] What is the connection between forgiveness and gratitude? [34:43] How do you bring what's in your head down into your heart? Do you remember that scene of Good Will Hunting where Robin Williams tells Matt Damon, "It's not your fault?" [37:43] Hear three things you can do to be present and feel gratitude this holiday season. Next steps: Get the free guide, 11 Steps to Forgiveness, from brendareisscoaching.com. After 30 years in the corporate world, Brenda's body started sending signals that something wasn't right. She got adrenal fatigue, stress syndrome, and memory loss. It was a wake-up call, and it was also an invitation to look at her story and find out the real reason for her afflictions. She was abandoned at age 3, and her life wouldn't get any better in the forthcoming years. She experienced all kinds of abuse, from physical to sexual, mental, and even spiritual. It seemed that every person in her life was there to abuse her; friends, lovers, husbands, bosses, and above them all, herself. She began a personal recovery journey, fighting against several addictions, and most importantly, she needed to stop blaming everyone but her for her suffering. Brenda Reiss is a Forgiveness Coach and CEO of Brenda Reiss Coaching. Brenda is the author of two books and the host of the upcoming podcast, Liberate Your Heart. She helps others to be masters of their own lives and move beyond their scars and challenges, no matter how tough they are. Stephanie is a certified relationship educator, licensed in Identity and Destiny and former Women's Ministry Leader, a Forgiveness Coach and host of the The Freed 2 Love Podcast.  For the next few episodes, I've invited a few of my friends, women, who are going to share their courage to heal stories, because I believe we must break our silence, come from behind our ashes and live in our true beauty. Let's let our sisters know, you're not alone. My prayer is that you, my dear sister, will have the courage to heal and walk in freedom. Listen in as my sister Stephanie shares her story in this Courage2Heal Interview.   SHOWNOTES: • It is a simple thing, but it's complicated. So you forgive when you are unjustly hurt by another, you forgive when you give up the resentment, not by denying your right to your just desires. (6:18) • You're so right, because even my own situation, I forgive with my lips, but oh my gosh, when memories or thoughts were on the anger, the sadness, all the emotions that you go through it, those different stages of forgiveness. (10:06) • When I learned that when you hold unforgiveness, it releases hormones in your body like Cortisol and what happens, that could cause high blood pressure, cancer feeds off of it, all kinds of other illnesses and everything have to do with a simple thing of letting go. (13:53) • Look at was it I'm doing now. There's no way you can shut me up now, because once you break that silent and you feel this freedom that, Oh my god, I never knew I could feel this way and standing in my truth. In the Season 3 Opening Episode, I kickoff it off with my take on race, race relations, racism, Christianity, The Church and what is at stake in America and more specifically what's at stake for Black people. I feel like The Souls of Black People are in jeopardy right now and I discuss my reasons for my position. I talk about my own personal experiences with racism, how I grew up and how my parents shaped my thinking. I also discuss my deliverance from prejudice by watching a television Pastor and my struggles and experiences with white Christians.I make a case for why forgiveness needs to be a part of the conversation and 4 Steps that need to be taken for reconciliation. Throw in the points and positions of white Christians as it relates to Donald Trump, the "greatness" of America paradox of with its corruption and slavery and I believe that you will be challenged and encouraged so you can keep your sanity and stay the course for your life.----------------------------------------------------------------------------Season 3 of The Freed 2 Love Podcast is ALL ABOUT RACE, RACE RELATIONS, RACISM, CHRISTIANITY AND THE CHURCH. I’ve titled this season - Conversations about Racism and Religion. It is the intersection of race and religion and the goal this season is to impact the macro by changing the micro. What I mean by this is I want to change the world by changing people - one conversation at a time. Some of you are new to my podcast, so I want to share with you what it is all about. The Freed 2 Love Podcast is a place where women share their stories and their truth. Its a safe space where they can be heard, celebrated and have real conversations that act as a catalyst for courage, strength and growth so they can break through their past and live a life of freedom through forgiveness.Previous seasons have tackled uncomfortable conversations about adultery and sexual abuse. And this season is no different. We are covering the very hot topic of Race this season, but the angle is a little different. I am a Forgiveness Coach and I help women go from heartbreak to happy so they grow as women and have the POWER AND PASSION to be freed to love, however, in this season, I’m being called to expand to hear stories from both men and women. And to talk about the taboo subject of FORGIVENESS, RACISM AND RECONCILIATION.

Forgiveness is a choice. Sometimes we feel we've been wronged. Other times it's us who have wronged someone else. Either way, we feel either in our head, heart, or body and being able to name and be aware of where it shows up for each of us is powerful!  This week on the podcast we'll use the tool of the Enneagram to explore the lifelong journey of forgiveness with Forgiveness Coach, Brenda Reiss.  Brenda shares that we teach what we often need to learn ourselves. After walking through multiple divorces and realizing she was blaming herself and her body was breaking down physically in the process, she started doing some deeper excavating and came across a Forgiveness Coach–it was just what she needed.  In her personal journey not only to forgive her former spouses but also herself, Brenda discovered the wisdom of the Enneagram and has developed her own Radical Forgiveness Process to invite others to experience a change of perception and greater freedom through forgiveness. On this episode you'll hear Brenda share about:  What is a Forgiveness Coach?  How has discovering she's at home as Enneagram Type 1, invited her to greater awareness and healing in her body?  How can understanding your personality type lead to greater self-forgiveness and self-acceptance?  Practically using a Forgiveness List to identify triggers, feelings and discover patterns that lead to wholeness Connect with Guest Brenda Reiss, Forgiveness Coach and CEO of Brenda Reiss Coaching: Website - brendareisscoaching.com Instagram - forgivenesscoach Facebook - brendareiss-coach More about Brenda: We don't always know how holding grudges or resentment can interrupt our daily lives let alone businesses.  Yet it does.  Brenda guides women entrepreneurs and business owners to discover where those grudges can be keeping them stuck and limiting their ability to achieve their goals and dreams.  This changes their life experience and creates space for the business and relationships they are ready to create. Welcome to Season 3 of The Freed 2 Love Podcast. This season is ALL ABOUT RACE, RACE RELATIONS, RACISM, CHRISTIANITY AND THE CHURCH. I’ve titled this season - Conversations about Racism and Religion. It is the intersection of race and religion and the goal this season is to impact the macro by changing the micro. What I mean by this is I want to change the world by changing people - one conversation at a time. Previous seasons have tackled uncomfortable conversations about adultery and sexual abuse. And this season is no different. We are covering the very hot topic of Race this season, but the angle is a little different. You see, I am a Forgiveness Coach and I help women go from heartbreak to happy so they grow as women and have the POWER AND PASSION to be freed to love, however, in this season, I’m being called to expand to hear stories from both men and women. And to talk about the taboo subject of FORGIVENESS, RACISM AND RECONCILIATION.

Join today's show as will explore forgiveness without pain or struggle. Our guest Kym Kennedy is a Forgiveness Coach who have helped many to forgive and embace self- acceptance. Typically, ordinary forgiveness is letting bygones be bygones - letting go of the past while still holding onto the idea that something wrong or bad happened. That often seems like a difficult task and it usually takes a very long time before we begin to feel the forgiveness.   Radical Forgiveness is also a deep commitment to releasing the past. However, the release is more total since it involves a shift in perception that allows us to see that what happened was actually perfect from a spiritual point of view. It is experienced as a profound insight and can occur in an instant.  Radical Forgiveness enables us to see the spiritual meaning in any situation; the big picture, so to speak. We are able to recognize that life is divinely guided and unfolding for each of us exactly how it needs to unfold for our highest good. We are able to surrender to the flow of life and to learn that, ultimately, there is nothing to forgive. When we receive this insight, we can let go of being a victim and find peace, even in the most unpleasant of situations or memories of what happened. And, when we see that, at the soul level, our perceived enemies really love us and are giving us an opportunity to heal and to grow, our hearts open and we are able to come back into alignment with them.
