Pinder & Rhett dive deep into the Toronto Maple Leafs' ongoing struggles, starting with Auston Matthews' slow start before shifting the conversation to GM Brad Treliving. The guys debate whether Treliving deserves blame after the Leafs effectively lost Mitch Marner for nothing last summer, drawing comparisons to his time in Calgary when the Flames also lost Johnny Gaudreau for nothing, and question whether this is a troubling pattern or an unfair narrative surrounding his tenure as a general manager.VIDEO LINK: https://youtu.be/I0dUENP-J0U #nhlshorts #nhlplayoffs #nhlpredictions #nhlhockey #nhlpicks #stanleycup #stanleycupfinal #calgaryflames #torontomapleleafs #toronto #leafsnation CHECK OUT OUR STUFF ⬇️BARN BURNER MERCHhttps://nationgear.ca/collections/shirts/FlamesnationBARN BURNER SHORTS https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLj_bcGtvvo-cW2DHEDZ6dEO5ePDmlhZc9&si=jo8iNGxT4ImhS2Y8

It's Tuesday afternoon, and there's a fresh episode of Oilersnation Radio set, which means the boys were back in the studio to recap the week that was. On today's episode, the guys discussed the Oilers' Tuesday's matchup vs. the Flames, Connor Ingram's first win of the season, Baggedmilk's Trivia, and much more.We kicked off the Tuesday episode of ONR with a delicious debate about what has been the most surprising storyline of the NHL season so far. Whether it's the lack of success in Edmonton for Andrew Mangiapane or Trent Frederic for the Oilers, the Leafs struggling as mightily as they are, or how a team like the Ducks are fighting well above their weight class, there are plenty of stories to choose from. Changing gears, we looked at the latest injury updates from the Oilers. Given that Edmonton hasn't had a single game with a full, healthy lineup, the boys discussed the latest round of updates and whether the team will ever be able to ice a full roster. The guys also spent a few minutes talking about Trent Frederic being healthy scratched, and also what he needs to do to get back in the team's good graces. Finally, we wrapped up the episode of ONR with another round of Baggedmilk's Trivia, including some Oilers vs. Flames-specific questions ahead of Tuesday's Battle of Alberta. If you've heard any of the previous editions of BM's trivia, you'll know that Baggedmilk has been way off on some of the questions, which keeps Liam in the role of trivia marshal and auditor. Did Baggedmilk get his questions right? You'll have to listen to find out for sure.SHOUTOUT TO OUR SPONSORS!!Powered by @bet365. Whatever the moment, it's Never Ordinary at bet365. PG writer Jason Mackey joined the show. Jason gave us a recap of the first period in the Penguins-Leafs game which started at 4 pm. The Pens trail 2-1 after 1. Are we already seeing a presence from the new ownership group? Is it likely the Penguins' best goalie is in the minors? The guys also wanted to get Jason's thoughts on the Pirates signing Ryan O'Hearn. Jason was adamant that the team is ‘not done' making offseason moves. Jason doesn't feel strongly that Andrew McCutchen will be back after some of these off-season acquisitions. Jason said Paul Skenes has to be feeling pretty good about what has happened so far and thinks a player like O'Hearn also takes some leadership lifting off Skenes' shoulders. Jason thinks Jared Triolo will stick around the Pirates lineup because of what he can provide on defense.

After the break, the guys welcome Sportsnet Raptors reporter Michael Grange (25:55), who shares his thoughts on the team's recent struggles. They discuss whether the absence of RJ Barrett and Jakob Poeltl gives the team more leeway in evaluating recent performances, how their Eastern Conference standing has been affected, and whether the team is worthy of taking a big swing to add talent. The views and opinions expressed in this podcast are those of the hosts and guests and do not necessarily reflect the position of Rogers Sports & Media or any affiliates.

Jonah Sigel catches up with the hosts of TSN 1050's OverDrive: Bryan Hayes, Jeff O'Neill and Jamie McLennan. The conversation opens with Jonah on the road, sharing a quick snapshot of a cross-country drive with his son, before the guys get into what fans really want to hear: how this trio came together, why it worked early, and how it's lasted in a business that rarely allows for long runs. They trace the path from the early TSN Radio days and Leafs Lunch into becoming Toronto's daily drive-time staple, and they walk through the moments, bits and habits that helped define the show. Hayes, O'Neill and McLennan also dig into the real mechanics behind the chemistry: trust, freedom, preparation, and knowing when something is landing and when it isn't. There are plenty of behind-the-scenes stories, plus a candid look at the grind of doing live daily radio through COVID, and how the job has changed in the age of social media and nonstop scrutiny in a market like Toronto. The episode ends the way OverDrive usually does: laughs, gratitude, and the sense that the show is still just three guys talking sports the way fans do. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. It's Tuesday afternoon, and there's a fresh episode of Oilersnation Radio set, which means the boys were back in the studio to recap the week that was. On today's episode, the guys discussed the Oilers' Tuesday's matchup vs. the Penguins, Tristan Jarry vs. Stuart Skinner, Baggedmilk's Trivia, and much more.We kicked off the Tuesday episode of ONR with a delicious debate about whether everyone is making too big a deal about the Oilers taking on the Penguins for the first time after the Skinner/Jarry trade. Given the magnitude of Friday's trade and the fact that the two teams are playing so quickly, it's easy to understand why the media and fans are so interested, even if we're only talking about a regular season game in mid-December. Changing gears, we looked at Tristan Jarry's Oilers debut against the Maple Leafs and how he was more than adequate despite arriving with the team just over 24 hours earlier. We also walked through some of Stuart Skinner's quotes from this morning after practice, and how it definitely seems like a trade was needed for both sides. Not to be left out, the fellas also spent a few minutes giving Brett Kulak his flowers after being a fantastic Oiler for the four years he was here. Regardless of the situation, Brett Kulak was a wonderful player for the organization and everyone on the podcast was sad to see him go.
