Brad Mason kicked off the conversation by introducing the latest installment in his "Charlie Chaloosy" series, "Charlie Chaloosy Refuses to Snoozy." As host Jed Doherty learned, this charming story follows young Charlie's adventures as he struggles with - and eventually embraces - the value of nap time. One of the standout elements of Brad's books is his commitment to encouraging young readers to tap into their own creativity. He includes interactive prompts that inspire kids to write and illustrate their own stories, helping to foster a love of storytelling. The Science of Successful Job Hunting

Last month I started a new segment of The Science of Successful Job Hunting podcast called “Career Inspiration”. This is where I interview mid to senior level professionals doing amazing, unique, exciting or unusual things in their work lives to find out their story and to draw lessons on how we can replicate it in our own work lives. My guest today is a fascinating mix of an “accounting head” and an all-out creative! Morenike Ajayi works for a housing association by day where she is the Assistant Director of Finance and Procurement. At night however, she moonlights as the executive producer and presenter of Career Nuggets, a TV talk show that focuses on business and career development and airs on OHTV Sky 199 every Tuesday and Saturday. With Season 2 of Career Nuggets kicking off in January 2016, I wanted to find out from Morenike just how she has managed to build a successful career in these two seemingly opposite worlds and what advice she has for any professional looking to do the same. In this episode we discuss... *The power of having focus in your job search; *How to turn a job "no" into a "yes"; *How to tap into your network to advance your career; *The value of a mentor; *The 3 things Morenike attributes her phenomenal career success to; ...and much more!
