The last time Heather's dear friend and guest Kristin Chenoweth popped by the show, we distinctly remember her mentioning one thing…that she was ready for a life partner. If that's not manifesting and speaking things into existence we don't know what is! Fast forward to today and Kristin is IN LOVE, happily engaged, and detailing her relationship and upcoming nuptials to Heather! But marriage isn't the only thing she's committed to…using her platform to share other women's stories has become a passion for Kristin and her new book “My Moment” is the epitome of that. It's true what they say, sometimes the most impactful stories come from unexpected moments. That's exactly what happened when Kristin was asked one simple question while on a Zoom. “When was the first time YOU fought for yourself?” This one question led for many women, including Kristin and Heather, to reflect on the emotional and physical pain they've had to deal with throughout the years and how they've learned to stick up for themselves. Plus, Broadway is known to bring the drama–on and off the stage and the recent casting in Funny Girl has done just that. Joel 2:25 tells us that “God will restore what the locusts have eaten.” I don't know about you, but I'm holding onto that promise. In this interview, I shared part of my story on how food became a coping mechanism for me. I talked about shame, sexual abuse, and how God brought me out of a relationship I didn't need need to be in. I also talked about why the church needs to stop trying to play Holy Spirit and let Holy Spirit do what He's come to do. Touchy subject, I know.. Today's dose of "Vitamin D" is dedicated to your moment. That moment you have been waiting for. That moment that you declare you're living your wildest dreams. Living your best life. On purpose and for a purpose. But I guess the question is well when does that moment come? I was listening to this track by DJ Drama. It's entitled "My Moment" and it's featuring Meek Mill, 2 Chainz and Jeremih and in the chorus, they say, "tired of living day to day like everything is alright. Just waiting on that moment." Who is in a holding space right now? I know I am. I know I'm not exactly where I want to be. Are you where you want to be? Where you want to be from that vision that God, your energy, your creator whatever it is gave you and put inside of yourself. We're just waiting on the moment and it's that thing that you just got to keep going. You keep going and you measure your growth when you look where you started. Cause your moment is worth it and when you realize when you get to that "moment" there's another moment and there's another moment. It's like a progression, but you're never going to get there if you decide to stop and you know they say you can't fail if you don't quit. So don't let your holding space be the point that you say, "stop." Hmm? In the track, they say, "long as I stay hustling, I'm gon' shine. Just waitin' on my moment." Remember if you don't grind, you don't shine. So I guess the real question is "what do you want?" That moment that you've always dreamed of. That moment that you can see. That moment that you've probably been in a situation that you can feel. Shit. My moment done brought me to tears sometimes. So are you going to quit or no? Cause the fact of the matter is we all get tired. We all feel like giving up. But the testament comes to those who don't quit. The testament comes to those who still figure it out. Are you going to figure it out or are you going to stop? Are you tired of living day to day like everything's alright or are you looking for that moment? Cause as long as you stay hustling, you're going to shine. So I ask you what do you want. I don't know about you, but I'm just waiting on my moment. Alright, that's it for your dose of "Vitamin D." Reviews- Creed & The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou Trailer Spot- X-Men: Apocalypse Opening Song- Waiting for My Moment by Vince Staples, Jhene Aiko, and Donald Glover Closing Song- The Fire by The Roots feat. John Legend I meant to upload this a smidge sooner but the internet decided to break at pretty much the moment I was going to do it. Nevertheless the episode that should have been out on Monday is finally here, right before Star Wars! As you can see above I finally saw Creed, and honestly it's a good film. Is it my favorite this year? Maybe Top 10 maybe as high as Top 5 but I would say The Martian is probably my favorite as of this post. Either case this show is a little overlong, don't know how that happened. I get on a roll and bam! One hour in already. Well I hope you all enjoy the show!
