In this week's Especially for Athletes podcast, Shad Martin and Dustin Smith tackle one of the greatest challenges facing youth sports today: patience. Too often athletes are labeled too early as stars or failures before their bodies, confidence, and abilities have fully developed. Through powerful insights about development, confidence, work ethic, and a moving story from Cameron Stewart about his son Tyson, Shad and Dustin remind parents, coaches, and athletes that development is not linear and that some of the greatest athletes are simply late bloomers. This episode is a must-listen for anyone tempted to judge potential too quickly.Key Takeaways1. Don't Label Athletes Too EarlyChildren develop physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially at different rates. Success—or struggle—at age 10 does not predict success at age 18.2. Puberty Changes EverythingMany athletes who appear average before puberty become exceptional later as their bodies and confidence develop.3. Focus on Growth, Not Playing TimeInstead of demanding opportunities, ask: "What do I need to do to improve?" Growth should always come before entitlement.4. Let Kids ExploreYoung athletes should be allowed to try different sports and activities until they discover where their talents and passions align.5. Love of the Game MattersIf a child still loves a sport, don't pull them away simply because they aren't currently the best player.6. Struggle Builds Valuable SkillsAthletes who must work for opportunities often develop resilience, work ethic, and perseverance that become major advantages later.7. There Are Lessons on the BenchAthletes learn just as much from fighting for playing time as they do from standing on the podium.00:32:17 - Introduction: Why Youth Sports Needs More Patience00:33:37 - The Danger of Labeling Kids Too Early00:36:27 - Why Puberty Changes Everything00:37:52 - Cameron Stewart's Story About His Son Tyson00:38:57 - How Parents Should Approach Playing Time Conversations00:41:42 - Why Late Bloomers Matter00:42:37 - When Should Kids Quit a Sport?00:45:02 - Family Rules About Commitment and Finishing Seasons00:46:02 - James Clear's "Explore vs. Exploit" Principle00:47:27 - Finding Your Lane Through Exploration00:48:17 - Final Advice for Parents and Coaches00:49:37 - Lessons Learned from Cameron Stewart's Example00:50:07 - Eyes Up, Do the Work⸻Especially for Athletes: Website: https://e4a.org Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/EspeciallyForAthletes/ X: https://x.com/E4Afamily Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/especiallyforathletes/ YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCmbWc7diAvstLMfjBL-bMMQJoin the conversation using #E4APodcast⸻Credits: Hosted by Dustin SmithProduced by E4A and IMAGINATE STUDIO

In this powerful episode of the Especially for Athletes Podcast, Shad Martin and Dustin Smith discuss men's mental health, the stigma surrounding emotional struggles, and the courage required to ask for help. Using the story of NBA All-Star Kevin Love and his public battle with panic attacks and anxiety, they explore why mental health deserves the same attention and care as physical injuries. Whether you're an athlete, coach, parent, or teammate, this conversation will help you better understand the importance of checking on others, speaking up when you're struggling, and creating environments where people feel safe asking for help.Key Takeaways1. Mental health struggles are real—even when you can't see them.Just because an injury isn't visible doesn't mean it isn't serious. Anxiety, depression, and panic attacks can impact performance and quality of life just as much as physical injuries.2. Asking for help is not weakness—it is courage.Real strength is not pretending everything is fine. Real strength is having the humility and courage to admit when you're struggling and seek help.3. Success does not immunize anyone from mental health challenges.Kevin Love was an NBA All-Star at the height of his career when he experienced a panic attack. Mental health struggles can affect anyone regardless of talent, success, popularity, or income.4. Coaches and parents should keep their eyes up.Great coaches don't just develop athletes; they develop people. Pay attention to behavioral changes and create safe opportunities for athletes to talk.5. Great teammates notice and respond.LeBron James's response to Kevin Love's article is a model of leadership. Great teammates don't judge; they support.6. Silence is the greatest ally of mental health struggles.Mental health issues often remain hidden because people fear what others will think. Honest conversations break down stigma and create healing.7. One person's courage can help thousands. When Kevin Love shared his story publicly, he gave countless others permission to seek help and realize they weren't alone.Links Full ESPN interview with Kevin Love - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sW2LVIp9QcU Kevin Love's Player Tribune article - https://www.theplayerstribune.com/articles/kevin-love-everyone-is-going-through-something00:32:17 - Introduction: Men's Mental Health Month00:34:17 - Kevin Love's Panic Attack Story00:37:02 - Why Mental Health Injuries Are Different00:38:17 - Dustin Shares His Own Experience with Panic Attacks00:41:47 - Why Athletes Often Stay Silent00:43:32 - The Stigma Around Mental Health00:45:32 - Courage vs. Weakness00:47:17 - Why Athletes Fear Asking for Help00:49:17 - What Coaches Can Do00:53:17 - Why Admitting You Need Help Is Courage00:55:17 - Kevin Love's Decision to Speak Out00:57:17 - Why Mental Health Is Harder to Discuss Than Physical Health01:00:17 - LeBron James's Powerful Response01:02:17 - Leadership and Looking Out for Teammates01:05:17 - Freedom Through Honest Conversations01:08:17 - Final Message to Athletes, Coaches, and Parents01:11:17 - Keep Your Eyes Up and Do the Work⸻Especially for Athletes: Website: https://e4a.org Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/EspeciallyForAthletes/ X: https://x.com/E4Afamily Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/especiallyforathletes/ YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCmbWc7diAvstLMfjBL-bMMQJoin the conversation using #E4APodcast⸻Credits: Hosted by Dustin SmithProduced by E4A and IMAGINATE STUDIO

In this episode of the Sportlight Podcast, Shad Martin and Dustin Smith revisit a powerful lesson from Paralympian and former BYU football player Jeff Griffin. After a tragic accident ended Jeff's dream of playing football, he learned that resilience is not always about refusing to quit—it is sometimes about having the courage to redirect your energy and dream a new dream. This episode is especially meaningful for athletes facing graduation, transition, disappointment, or the closing of a chapter.Key Takeaways Resilience sometimes means redirecting, not quitting. When one door closes, the challenge is to take the lessons, discipline, and strength you gained and put them toward something new. Some dreams have a shelf life.Athletic careers, seasons, and chapters eventually end, but the growth from them can last forever. The lessons of sports are not reserved for stars.Every athlete can learn discipline, sacrifice, teamwork, toughness, and how to pursue a worthy goal. Don't stop dreaming just because one dream ends.A closed door may be the beginning of a better chapter. Where your focus goes, your energy flows.Part of maturity is deciding where your energy belongs next.Chapter Timestamps00:32:17 — Introduction to the Episode Shad and Dustin introduce the format and the focus on powerful clips from past guests.00:32:55 — Jeff Griffin's Story Shad introduces Jeff Griffin, a former BYU football player and Paralympian whose life changed after a 40-foot fall.00:34:22 — When a Dream Ends The discussion turns to athletes graduating or facing the end of their playing careers.00:38:53 — Dreaming a New Dream Shad introduces the central idea: resilience includes knowing when to dream a new dream.00:39:35 — Is Redirecting the Same as Quitting? In this episode of the Especially for Athletes podcast, Dustin Smith and Shad Martin revisit a powerful insight shared by former NFL All-Pro Eric Weddle about the “fine line between average and great.” What follows is a deep discussion on consistency, sacrifice, self-motivation, preparation, humility, and the daily habits that separate people who merely dream from people who actually develop greatness. The conversation explores why we often romanticize greatness instead of recognizing the discipline behind it, why consistency matters more than motivation, and how small daily choices eventually become extraordinary outcomes. The episode also dives into practical ways athletes, parents, coaches, and young people can create routines of excellence and build resilient habits that last. This episode is a reminder that greatness usually isn't dramatic—it's accumulated.Key Takeaways Greatness is usually accumulated, not inherited. Consistency matters more than temporary motivation. Small daily choices create long-term success. Most people romanticize greatness because it removes responsibility from themselves. Preparation allows people to capitalize on opportunity. Humility is essential if you want to improve. Motivation fades quickly; disciplined routines endure. Sacrifice is often the difference between average and great. Winning the battle with yourself is the most important competition. Developing skill requires patience and repetition long before anyone notices.Main Topics & Timestamps15:23 — Why revisit old podcast moments?Dustin and Shad explain the new podcast format and why certain past conversations deserve deeper attention.19:29 — Why do we romanticize greatness?Discussion on why people often attribute success to talent instead of discipline and sacrifice.24:04 — Capitalizing on opportunityThe role of preparation, timing, and work ethic in becoming successful.26:52 — Greatness is accumulatedWhy consistency matters more than flashes of motivation.28:38 — “You'll never go broke taking a profit”A football analogy about small victories and daily progress.32:03 — Motivation vs. consistencyWhy self-motivation matters more than external inspiration.35:39 — Tactical plans create progressHow routines and daily habits help athletes avoid procrastination.38:33 — Humility and seeking mentorshipWhy improvement requires asking successful people for help.43:09 — Routine creates greatnessBuilding systems and habits instead of waiting to “feel motivated.”46:11 — Talent vs. skillWhy talent alone is never enough without disciplined development.Full Episode with Erik Weddlehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QWnB-UzhfdY&list=PLjow7UW4zcvU3CC2U5jUnrGEIbhbwhm0b&index=115⸻Especially for Athletes: Website: https://e4a.org Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/EspeciallyForAthletes/ X: https://x.com/E4Afamily Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/especiallyforathletes/ YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCmbWc7diAvstLMfjBL-bMMQJoin the conversation using #E4APodcast⸻Credits: Hosted by Dustin Smith & Shad MartinProduced by E4A and IMAGINATE STUDIO

He also shares powerful insights on resilience, letting go of mistakes, and discovering your true purpose beyond your sport. In this week's Especially for Athletes podcast, former University of Utah tight end Cole Fotheringham shares how a simple shift in mindset—seeing your opponent as your “dance partner”—can unlock your best performance and change the way you compete. He opens up about overcoming fear-based thinking from coaches, parents, and within himself, and how learning to play free instead of fearful transformed both his game and his growth. If you've ever overthought failure, struggled with pressure, or wanted to compete with more confidence and purpose, this episode will challenge and inspire you to see the game—and your life—differently. Key Takeaways: Your opponent is your partner in growth. Your opponent is your "dance partner"- When you stop seeing opponents as enemies and start seeing them as the reason you improve, competition becomes a tool—not a threat. Fear is a terrible fuel source- Whether it comes from coaches, parents, or within, fear leads to overthinking and tight play—confidence and freedom lead to your best performance. Focus on what you can control—yourself. Comparison, stats, and outcomes pull you out of the moment; your effort, mindset, and preparation keep you grounded and effective. Adversity is not something to escape—it's something to use. Growth comes from staying, adjusting, and pushing through hard situations—not always taking the easier path. You play your best when you're present, not in your head. The more you let go of past mistakes and future worries, the more you can perform freely and fully in the moment.Podcast Timestamps: 0:16 – Introduction & Cole Fotheringham's Background 3:41 – Current Situation, Injuries & Staying Ready 4:15 – Compete Without Contempt (Phil Jackson “Dance Partner” Quote) 7:16 – The Sportlight: Pressure, Recognition & Social Media 10:01 – Mental Health & Pressure in Sports 13:16 – Adversity, Transfers & Choosing the Hard Path 16:16 – Resilience Through Injuries & Mental Growth 18:36 – Playing Free vs Playing in Fear 23:16 – Overthinking, Comparison & Being Present 27:46 – How to Get Out of Your Head (Flow State) 30:16 – Fear-Based Coaching vs Love-Based Coaching 33:46 – Creating a Healthy Team Culture 37:46 – Parenting & Coaching Without Fear 40:06 – Don't Let Fear Be Your Fuel 42:06 – Overthinking Worst Case vs Best Case 43:01 – Final Thoughts & Closing Message⸻Especially for Athletes:• Website: https://e4a.org • Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/EspeciallyForAthletes/ • X: https://x.com/E4Afamily • Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/especiallyforathletes/ • YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCmbWc7diAvstLMfjBL-bMMQJoin the conversation using #E4APodcast⸻Credits: Hosted by Dustin Smith & Shad Martin Produced by Shad Martin and IMAGINATE STUDIO
We sat down with former Southern Utah University QB, and long-time E4A member Justin Miller. He reflected on how the principles of E4A have shaped him and helped him as he has navigated his athletic career. We also talked about the difference of being present and being engaged.Key Takeaways from the Podcast Being present is not enough—be engaged. True influence comes when we give our full attention to the people around us rather than simply being in the same room. Resilience matters more than a perfect path. Justin's journey to college football included injuries and unexpected turns, but persistence and “stick-to-it-iveness” helped him stay the course. Influence multiplies across generations. Living good principles today can create a ripple effect that blesses people for years to come. Athletes have a powerful opportunity to serve. The spotlight that comes with sports can be used to bless others rather than simply seek recognition. Real impact requires action. Simply being around people is not enough—service, effort, and stepping out of our comfort zones are what truly make a difference0:16 Meet College QB Justin Miller0:33 Growing Up in California & Moving to Utah2:36 Snow College, Romania, and a Broken Throwing Wrist5:25 Walking On at Southern Utah7:39 Turning Around the Southern Utah Football Program10:52 How Justin Discovered Especially for Athletes15:16 Life Lessons Sports Teach You20:16 The Power of Resilience & “Stick-to-It-iveness”32:16 Lessons Learned Outside of Football42:16 Taking Risks Instead of Playing It Safe57:16 Seek to Bless, Not Impress1:04:46 Final Lessons from Justin's Journey⸻Especially for Athletes: Website: https://e4a.org Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/EspeciallyForAthletes/ X: https://x.com/E4Afamily Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/especiallyforathletes/ YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCmbWc7diAvstLMfjBL-bMMQJoin the conversation using #E4APodcast⸻Credits: Hosted by Dustin Smith & Shad Martin Produced by Shad Martin and IMAGINATE STUDIO
We started off with a video clip that popped up right before the program of Joel Webbon seriously struggling to answer the question, "Does the Bible say Mary was a Jew?" Yeah, seriously. Then we moved to the Dustin Smith debate and the fact that the little Unitarian group is still working hard on spinning the debate. We played sections from the cross-examination and then dove into the text to examine his replies or his questions, depending. We went long on this one, out to 80 minutes for this edition!
Today we dove into the debate I did with Dr. Dustin Smith in Dallas on the Trinity vs. Unitarianism, and in particular, our reasons for doing debates, etc. Then we looked at 1 Corinthians 8:6, which came up in the debate, and used it as an example of my main thesis: that the Unitarian has an over-riding presupposition that forces him into eisegesis when faced with evidence against his position. We will look at the Hansen/Heshmeyer cross-ex on the next episode!
On February 6, 2026, I debated James White in a public, moderated debate titled "Does the Bible Teach the Trinity?" James White demonstrably failed to prove the affirmative of the debate. As promised, I looked over the "Sacralism on Steroids" graphic put out by the "New Christian Right" putting Donald Trump as Constantine (seriously) and noted the simplistic history that always accompanies these kinds of movements. Then we looked at the variant at 1 Timothy 3:16 as it was addressed by my upcoming debate opponent, Dr. Dustin Smith, in a recent podcast. Today's program has a fair amount of graphical information so audio only folks might be missing out on some things.
Resilience isn't always forged in the big, dramatic moments. More often, it's built quietly—hour by hour, decision by decision—when no one is watching. In Episode 157 of the Especially for Athletes podcast, Navy Midshipman linebacker Marcus Bleazard shares a powerful perspective on resilience that applies to every athlete, student, and leader navigating demanding seasons of life.Marcus describes the relentless rhythm of life at the United States Naval Academy: early mornings, classes stacked back-to-back, meetings, practice, study, and doing it all again the next day. Like every athlete, he admits there are moments when motivation is thin—when the bed is warm, the weight feels heavy, or the books feel endless. What keeps him going isn't waiting for a massive breakthrough, but learning to look for “flecks of gold” in the grind. Not every day produces a highlight-reel moment. Some days, resilience looks like finding one small win and choosing to show up anyway. That mindset perfectly reflects one of our core principles at Especially for Athletes: Win the Hour. Marcus reminds us that resilience isn't about loving every task—it's about attacking the task in front of you with heart and focus. Study sessions may not feel inspiring. Practices may feel monotonous. But when athletes learn to search for small progress—one rep, one page, one assignment completed—they build momentum that compounds over time.Throughout the episode, Marcus also reinforces the power of identity and self-talk. Injuries, setbacks, and doubt are inevitable. What matters is how we speak to ourselves in those moments. Resilience grows when we don't negotiate with the voice that tells us to quit, but instead talk to ourselves—reminding ourselves who we are, what we've overcome, and why we belong. That's resilience rooted not in hype, but in disciplined belief.Episode 157 is a reminder that resilience isn't flashy. It's faithful. It's choosing effort over excuses, love over contempt, and progress over perfection. If you're in a season that feels repetitive, demanding, or discouraging, Marcus Bleazard's message will help you reframe the grind and rediscover purpose in the process.⸻Especially for Athletes: • Website: https://e4a.org • Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/EspeciallyForAthletes/ • X: https://x.com/E4Afamily • Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/especiallyforathletes/ • YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCmbWc7diAvstLMfjBL-bMMQJoin the conversation using #E4APodcast⸻Credits: Hosted by Dustin Smith & Shad Martin Produced by Shad Martin and IMAGINATE STUDIO

In this episode of Transfigured, biblical scholar Dr. Dustin Smith joins the show to discuss his new book, A Systematic Theology of the Early Church. The conversation explores a "filterless" approach to the Bible, examining how the earliest Christians understood the nature of God, the agency of Jesus, and the role of the Holy Spirit. Dr. Smith challenges traditional creedal assumptions by rooting his systematic theology strictly in first-century historical and scriptural contexts.Dustin's Channel - @BiblicalUnitarianPodcast Amazon Book Link - https://www.amazon.com/Systematic-Theology-Early-Church-ebook/dp/B0FVG68CDD

In this short video apologist Wes Huff confidently dishes out a bunch of mostly standard apologetics “answers” designed to sooth worries about “the doctrine of the Trinity.” In this reaction video I interact with Huff’s claims, clarifying what he’s saying and why, pointing out what he’s doing and not doing, and how he fails to engage with the seemingly non-trinitarian theology of the New Testament. He’s right that it is Christians and not only non-Christians who have various worries about what is imagined to be one single doctrine. But as I discuss, his answers should not soothe Christians concerned about (1) how one can supposedly derive a Trinity doctrine from the Bible, and (2) how Trinity speculations seem incompatible with the theology of the Bible. Coming off a great season on the Tackle Warehouse Invitationals, Dustin Smith is taking his talents to the Bass Pro Tour, where his no-forward-facing sonar, shallow-centric approach could clash with the every-fish-counts format. Listen in for a review of some of the highs and lows of a fascinating season, and a look at how Smith made the call to fish at the highest level in 2026.
n our conversation with Ridgeline High School volleyball coach Jaicee Roden, one principle came through loud and clear: the athletes who rise to the top are the ones who learn to eliminate distractions.Coach Roden, who has led some of Utah's most competitive volleyball programs, shared how she's seen the mental side of sports evolve in the age of constant connection. “Kids today have bigger battles with social media,” she said. “They're not always sure why they're doing what they're doing anymore.”She pointed to Dr. Craig Manning's book The Fearless Mind and its formula for high performance:Potential + Training – Distractions = Performance.“The elimination of distractions is everything,” Roden explained. “The athletes who can build a better relationship with eliminating distractions are the ones who become elite.”That's a perfect example of the E4A principle Win the Hour — the call to be intentional with our time, to focus on what matters most in the moment, and to do what needs to be done rather than be pulled away by what doesn't.Coach Roden helps her players identify their distractions — from phones and social media to something more subtle, like perfectionism or self-doubt. “We don't realize that our own hyper-criticism can be a distraction,” she said. “Good isn't bad — but good is never great. If we want to be great, we have to rise above good.”Her players use mental performance tools like Dr. Manning's High Performance Journal to stay focused on their tasks — not their ego. “Task orientation,” she explained, “is when we know our role and we complete it, no matter how we feel. Ego orientation is when we think, ‘How does this make me look?' The more we focus on the task, the more we grow.”Coach Roden's approach reminds every athlete that greatness isn't about doing more — it's about doing what matters most, free from distraction. As she said, “Perfection isn't an option, but progress is.”So, how can you “Win the Hour”? Identify your distractions. Make a plan for when you'll train, study, and rest. Focus on your tasks, not your ego. And above all — keep your eyes up to the work.####Especially for Athletes:• Website: https://e4a.org• Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/EspeciallyForAthletes/• X: https://x.com/E4Afamily• Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/especiallyforathletes/• YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCmbWc7diAvstLMfjBL-bMMQJoin the conversation using #TheSportlightPodcast####Credits:Hosted by Dustin Smith & Shad MartinProduced by Shad Martin and IMAGINATE STUDIO

I'm super pumped about this episode because you get to hear from an angler who ditched forward facing sonar, but still managed to rise to the top of competitive bass fishing. Dustin Smith placed second in Rookie of the Year and fifth in Angler of the Year on the Tackle Warehouse Invitational circuit in 2025 without ever staring at a screen shaking a jighead minnow. In fact, Dustin doesn't own a unit with live sonar. Hell, even his trolling motor ain't the latest and greatest. You see, Dustin's super power has nothing to do with technology, but everything to do with his unbridled passion for catching bass in shallow water. But there's SO MUCH MORE!Sit back, crack open a cold one, and relax. You're among friends. This isn't another fishing podcast. Text UsRe-Air from Season 2.Josh Brockman and Dustin Smith sit down and discuss how the Bible describes a Christ follower, and what Jesus says of those who follow Him. Today, there are many that profess the name of Jesus, and claim faith in Him. Why do some look different than the world? Why do some look just as the world? Should we discern these matters? While we don't have the ability to decipher ones faith, we can look at what the Bible teaches about this subject where we can examine ourselves in light of scripture, and see what Christ's word about His own say. Our guideline today of the questions to be answered are as follows:1.When you say you are a Christian, what does that mean?2.What is the gospel, the good news?3.What does it mean to “believe” in Jesus (God)?4.On what basis do you make claim that you are reconciled to God?5.What does Christ say His followers will look like in their daily life?6.What do you seek daily, the world or things above?7.What does Paul mean in 2 Corinthians 13:5 when he writes, “to test yourself to see if you are in the faith or do you know not this about yourself that Jesus Christ is in you?”
This week, we sat down with former University of Utah basketball player and current high school basketball coach Doug Meacham for a deep and inspiring conversation sparked by comments from professional golfer Scottie Scheffler. After winning a major tournament, Scheffler said that while victory brings excitement, his true fulfillment comes from faith and family—not trophies. He shared that he'd rather be remembered as a great father than a great golfer.Coach Meacham, along with Especially for Athletes founder Dustin Smith, explored how keeping sports in proper perspective can ground us, steady us, and make us better both on and off the field. Coach Smith shared the powerful story of a devastating state championship loss and how the five minutes he spent with his team afterward may have been the most important coaching moment of the season. This is a conversation every athlete and coach should hear—a reminder that while the desire to win is important, the lessons learned in the process are what truly last. This is part 2 of our response series on The Incarnate Christ and His Critics. Most of us understand of what deity means. Generally we think to be God is to be eternal, uncaused, and indestructible. This gets at the word aseity, which is a fancy philosophical term for a being that doesn’t depend on anyone or anything else for existence. To be a se (from the Latin a = from, and se = self) is to be uncaused and non-contingent. This cuts to the very essence of what it means to be God in the proper sense of the word. So, if Jesus is God in the same way in which the Father is God, then Jesus, too, must have aseity. Right? We’ll see about that in today’s episode. But, here’s the thing. It’s actually even harder than establishing Jesus’s aseity. To claim Christ’s deity, entails claiming he has all the other divine attributes as well. Deity-of-Christ apologists like Bowman and Komoszewski know that this is a problem. In fact, in part two of their book, The Incarnate Christ and His Critics, they outline seven conflicting attributes between Jesus’s alleged divine and human natures. They say he is both eternal and born, immutable and able to grow, impeccable and tempted, omnipresent and able to walk, omniscient and not knowing something, omnipotent and capable of sleep, and lastly, immortal and mortal–all at the same time. Although they revel in such “paradoxes,” this list presents grave difficulties for the classic dual natures view from Chalcedon that we covered last week. In this episode we’ll consider several of these contradictions as part of our second episode on whether or not Jesus had the divine attributes.
