Thank you Dr. Bryan Loritts, another play of the day. Thank you Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship in Dallas, TX, for hosting and sharing. We both agree. Bryan is an annointed speaker for a season such as this. I strongly encourage you to listen to the rest of that message. Simply click the YouTube link in the show description or search "Your God is Too Small" and Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship. https://www.youtube.com/live/qg02n4VfoSM?si=Z7KAiIg7iMKBwyQKThat is such a mic drop that I'm a bit speechless. Do you know a story like that? If so, please let us know at FriDudes.com. On the flip side, I know people that filed for divorce for a lot, lot, less. Heck, I've been upset with my wife of 30+ years for a lot, lot less. As I've said countless times on this podcast, any relationship you care about, you don't have to be married to get this, any relationship you care about...will not last without grace. Choosing to give grace, forgiveness. Choosing to love. For those 'IN LOVE', falling in and out of love is for rookies. Sooner or later, you are going to have to choose to love on certain days. Most certainly, you are going to need to choose forgiveness and grace to keep going.Back to you, that is your relationship with God. You've cheated on God somewhere. How do I know that? Rom 3:23. Yet we have this amazing gift in Rom 8:1. Wouldn't we be the ultimate hypocrites is we didn't extend the same. As stated before, doesn't mean you need to hug it out with that person that hurt you. It does mean you hand over that hurt to God. Quit carrying that hurt around like a tattoo on your face. As for that unbelievable dude in that Play of the Day. Think about it. His selflessness kept a family together. It kept a marriage together. Most important, it added a new member to the forever kingdom. A truly amazing story that I am already relaying. Maybe you too. Spread what works.Matt 22: 36-40

Evangelical pastor and radio host Tony Evans cited an unnamed "sin" as he stepped down as senior pastor at Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship in Dallas, the latest controversy for high-profile pastors in America. Evans will be "temporarily stepping away from his senior pastor's duties," Shari L. Carroll, a spokesperson for the church, said in a Friday email to USA TODAY. On Sunday, the pastor said in a statement on the church's website that he has "committed no crime," but "did not use righteous judgment in actions." This week on Pass The Mic Pastor Tyler Burns and EP Beau York sit down to discuss the state of Mega Churches, Celebrity Pastors, Christian Influencers and ask the question 'is it time for the mega church to die'? Two of the most well known pastors in America step down in a matter of weeks from one another as Tony Evans of Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship in Dallas Texas was released for his duties for a undisclosed sin. Also Robert Morris of Gateway Church stepped down after it was revealed he took advantage of a twelve year old girl back in the 1980's. We take a look at the reason that so many pastors fall victim to sexual sin and see if there is direct correlation to their doctrine and their living. In this episode, Troy challenged me to ask Tony the hardest faith-based questions I could think of. This was not meant to be offensive, but rather to hear how someone with his expertise would respond to different scenarios and criticisms. I ask you to go into today's episode with an open mind, heart, and soul. Whether you share his faith or not, Dr. Evans' authenticity, conviction, and dedication are admirable. It's Friday, December 22nd, A.D. 2023. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. The 63 church members left China three years ago and traveled through South Korea, Thailand, and to eventual freedom in the United States to escape persecution in China. The Mayflower families have been staying in Tyler, Texas for the last several months where they began new jobs, settled their families, and took English classes. They now head to their permanent home in Midland, Texas, around the Christmas holiday. Amazingly, the Tyler Christian community bought seven new vehicles for the Mayflower families to help on their journey. The Mayflower Church members marvel at this generosity. Other ministries which have supported their cause include China Aid, Freedom Seekers, and International Christian Concern. Prague University student killed 14, injured 25 On Thursday, a student opened fire at a university in Prague, killing at least 14 people, and injuring 25 in the Czech Republic's worst mass shooting, reports the Associated Press. Prague Police Chief Martin Vondrasek said the bloodshed took place in the philosophy department building of Charles University where the shooter was a student. The gunman, whose name has not been released, also died. Reportedly, he also killed his father earlier in the day. The chief described the shooter as an excellent student with no criminal record. And the investigators do not suspect a link to any extremist ideology or groups. The gunman suffered “devastating injuries” but it wasn't clear if he killed himself or was shot to death in an exchange of gunfire with officers. Republican Congressman discusses depravity and blackmail Republican Congressman Tim Burchett of Tennessee spoke to conservative podcaster Benny Johnson on Thursday and talked about blackmail and depravity in the U.S. Congress, reports Mediaite.com. Burchett and Johnson primarily spoke about why it took so long for the client list of notorious sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein to be ordered unsealed by a federal judge. However, at one point, Burchett claimed that many “good conservatives” and other members of Congress are being entrapped and then blackmailed to vote certain ways. Listen. BURCHETT: “Why in the world would good conservatives vote for crazy stuff like what we've been seeing out of Congress? Here's how it works. You're out of the country or out of town or you're in a motel or at a bar in DC and, whatever you're into – women or men or whatever — comes up and they're very attractive and they're laughing at your jokes, and you're buying them a drink. Next thing you know, you're in the motel room with them naked. “Next thing you know, you're about to make a key vote, and what happens? Some well-dressed person comes up and whispers in your ear, ‘Hey, man, there's tapes out on you.' Or ‘Were you in a motel room on whatever with whoever?' And then you're like, ‘Uh-oh,' and [they] said, ‘you really ought not be voting for this thing.' “What do they do? It's human nature. No man or no woman actually is an island. They know what to get at. You know, if it's women, drugs, booze, it'll find you in D.C. and in most elected offices. I've been in this game my whole life. I spent 16 years in the state legislature in Tennessee and eight years as county mayor. And now I'm in my fifth year of Congress. The stakes are higher, but the game is still the same.” Numbers 32:23 says, “Be sure your sin will find you out.” New York Democrats targeting Chick-fil-A New York Democrat lawmakers are targeting Chick-fil-A, which is closed on Sundays, with legislation that mandates restaurants located in rest stops on the state Thruway to remain open seven days a week, reports NewsMax.com. Democrat Assemblyman Tony Simone of Manhattan, who is sponsoring the anti-Chick-fil-A bill, said, "Not only does Chick-fil-A have a long, shameful history of opposing LGBTQ rights, it simply makes no sense for them to be a provider of food services in busy travel plazas. A company, that by policy, is closed on one of the busiest travel days of the week should not be the company that travelers have to rely on for food services." Chick-fil-A has had a company policy since first opening in 1946 that the restaurants would be closed on Sundays to allow operators and team members "to enjoy a day of rest, be with their families and loved ones, and worship if they choose." If you would like to politely object to Assemblyman Simone's bill, call him at 212-807-7900 or email him at simonet@nyassembly.gov Tony Evans got re-married And finally, Tony Evans, pastor of Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship in Dallas, Texas, recently married Carla Crummie in a “private ceremony surrounded by family and close friends” four years after the death of his first wife, Lois Evans, reports The Christian Post. In a social media post, the church said, “As we enter the celebratory Christmas season, we also celebrate the marriage announcement of our senior Pastor and his bride, Mrs. Carla Evans.” Proverbs 18:22 says, “He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord.” The senior pastor had revealed he was engaged to Crummie during a celebration service for his birthday at his church in September. Flanked by his four children -- Priscilla Shirer, Jonathan Evans, Anthony Evans Jr. and Crystal Evans Hurst, this is what Tony Evans said to the church in September. EVANS: “As I worked through the ups and downs of singlehood, God in His sovereignty has brought someone into my life. (applause) This someone has traveled this similar road. In fact, she, [Carla Crummie], and her husband were on their way to Lois' funeral when her husband died.” Tony Evans had been married to Lois for 49 years before she died of bile duct cancer at the end of 2019. In a 2020 interview with The Christian Post, he said in addition to “helping me through school, mothering our four children, and leading them to the Lord,” his late wife assisted him both in starting their church and The Urban Alternative, a media ministry whose radio broadcasts are today heard by millions each week on more than 1,400 radio outlets across 130 countries. A conversation about expectation, immediate gratification, and disappointment with Elizabeth WoodsonWORSHIP INVITES US TO BRING OUR DISAPPOINTMENTS TO GODIt saddens me to think about how much we talk about Michal, David's first wife, without ever addressing the trauma that she endured throughout her life. As the youngest daughter of King Saul, she was often used as the pawn he chose to manipulate to kill David and it is evident that she was influenced by the idolatry her father practiced. When Michal helped save David's life in 1 Samuel 19, she took a household idol to distract Saul's servants and give David time to escape. However, no one ever slowed down long enough to address the pain she had, the disappointment she was navigating, and the rebellion that had begun to hide in her heart. It's hard to imagine someone reaching for a household idol today, but it may be more common than we realize.Today, we are reflecting on some of the themes in Session Two of Selah: Worship Invites You To Repentance.TODAY WE'RE REFLECTING ON GALATIANS 3:13-14 ESVChrist redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us—for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree”— 14 so that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles, so that we might receive the promised Spirit through faith.A WOMAN YOU SHOULD KNOWToday, Ty and I get to close out this season by featuring one woman who has impacted both of us. DALLAS, TX (AURN News) — Dr. Tony Evans, 74, the renowned pastor and author, has shared the joyous news of his engagement during a heartfelt service at the Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship in Dallas, Texas. The announcement came on Sunday morning, when Dr. Evans was joined by his four children to deliver the news to his congregation. Dr. Evans, who holds the distinction of being the first Black author of a study bible and a commentary, revealed that he is now engaged to Dr. Carla Crummie, hailing from Atlanta. Dr. Crummie has been an integral part of Dr. Evans' ministry, "The Urban Alternative," serving as a Kindness Ambassador. The congregation was moved by Dr. Evans' announcement, coming nearly four years after the passing of his beloved wife, Lois, in 2019. Mrs. Evans had battled gallbladder cancer, and the couple had shared a remarkable marriage lasting 49 and a half years. During the service, Dr. Evans expressed his gratitude to his congregation for their unwavering support during the challenging times of grief. "I want to just thank so many of you who have been grievers with us and allowed us to grieve with you in some of your times. And so that's part of life, it's outside of our hands, we had to put it in the hands of sovereign God," he said. "God in His sovereignty has brought someone into my life," he added. This announcement marks a new chapter in the life of this esteemed pastor and author, as he embarks on a journey of love and companionship with Dr. Crummie. I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is like the working of his mighty strength, which he exerted in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every title that can be given, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.” Ephesians 2:8–10 “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God‘s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.“ Ephesians 2:13 “But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near through the blood of Christ.“ Philippians 1:6 “being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”

Grammy-nominated Gospel artist, author, and speaker Anthony Evans is known for songs that merge a message of faith with a contemporary sound. The son of Dr. Tony Evans, founder and pastor of Dallas, Texas' Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship, as well as a high-profile radio and television host, Anthony Evans started his career in 2001 as a background singer for Kirk Franklin. Launching his solo career in 2004, Evans has released several albums since then and really broadened his reach when he competed on NBC's The Voice in early 2012 (Season 2). In August, Anthony released his latest book When Faith Meets Therapy which he co-authored with his personal therapist, Stacy Kaiser. Anthony and Stacy take the conversation around mental health and faith to a next level, sharing insights from Anthony's personal experience with therapy as well as poignant takeaways from Stacy. In this conversation, Anthony and our host Chris Baker discuss how being a preacher's kid created external pressure but never internal pressure, how Anthony led the trend of taking CCM songs and putting them into the cross-cultural context, but the majority of the conversation centers on When Faith Meets Therapy coping with grief, shame, and doing the work off stage so it pours into your identity and posture on stage.“You have to feel it to heal it.” Listen today! He currently serves on the pastoral staff at Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship with his father, Dr. Tony Evans. Jonathan played college football at Baylor, was an undrafted free agent in 2005, and spent time in the NFL with the Dallas Cowboys under head coach Bill Parcells. For Father's Day, Stephanie welcomes NLF chaplain and Pastor Jonathan Evans for a no-nonsense conversation about our investment as parents for the Kingdom of God. With his trademark candid and bold kindness, Jonathan shares his approach to parenting, as well as what he learned from his parents, Lois and Dr Tony Evans. We discuss fatherhood in particular, but these principles apply to all forms of parenting and for everyone who ministers to children of all ages! So, parents, grandparents, family members and all youth leaders -- this episode will inspire you, challenge you, and help you remember how eternal your investment is! Jonathan shares, “God is calling you to go further, rise higher, and achieve more in His name than you could ever imagine. But you will never get to experience all that God has for you unless you are willing to rise up out of the depths of your own disappointments, get up off the couches of your own comfort zones, and pursue His plan for this season. Now.” Beyond parenting, Jonathan shades his quest for a deeper intimacy with God. He remembers living life on “cruise control,” comfortable where he was, following in the footsteps of his well-known and respected father (Dr. Tony Evans), until one day he realized he didn't know his own role or purpose in life. Jonathan didn't wait to figure it out; he took action and pursued what God had in store for him. His book, Your Time is Now urges us to get out of the “comfort” rut and do the same. Using the Old Testament leader Joshua as a model for stepping up to God's calling, Jonathan invites us to stop living at surface level, dig deeper, and step into our callings now, no matter what obstacles stand in our way. “Now is the time for you to live out your purpose for God,” says Jonathan. “Not when you're older. Not when you've settled down. Not when you feel like you've got nothing else to do…Now is your season.” In Your Time is Now, Jonathan invites us to shift our perspectives from an outward concern about what the world thinks, to an inward focus on the only One whose opinion really matters: God. No matter the season we find ourselves in or the challenges we face, Jonathan encourages us to stand on the truth that God can and will use us and this season for His purpose, if only we intentionally and actively pursue Him. If you missed our Mother's Day episode, we invite you to check out the phenomenally inspiring convo between Molly De Frank and Stephanie about how to digitally detox your kids! Jonathan discusses the importance of keeping our kids grounded in real life and away from screens, so take a listen to Episode 147 (Digital Detox for kids with Molly DeFrank) for practical tips. Dr. Tony Evans, the senior pastor at Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship in Dallas, Texas, believes "there needs to be an awakening" within the Christian church amid seething division and vitriol. The failure of the church to lead the way on conversations surrounding issues like race has, according to Evans, led to social and cultural disarray."The division is so palpable, the vitriol is so visible and, because I believe that God won't skip the church house to fix the white house, there needs to be an awakening of the church to the biblical principles of unity," Evans told "The Prodigal Stories Podcast." "It is critical to seeing God move not only in our midst but through us into the culture." Listen to Evans discuss biblical unity and the church's role in cultural chaos.

I am super excited to share today's episode with you and I think you will get a lot out of it whether you are a Christian or not. My convo today is with the legendary Dr. Tony Evans and his son Anthony Evans. Many of you will recognize Dr. Evans, but for those who aren't familiar he is the founder and senior pastor of Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship in Dallas, founder, and president of The Urban Alternative, and author of over 100 books, booklets and Bible studies. The first African American to earn a doctorate of theology from Dallas Theological Seminary, he has been named one of the 12 Most Effective Preachers in the English-Speaking World by Baylor University. Dr. Evans holds the honor of writing and publishing the first full-Bible commentary and study Bible by an African American. His radio broadcast, The Alternative with Dr. Tony Evans, can be heard on over 1,400 radio outlets daily and in more than 130 countries. Dr. Evans' sermons are also streamed and downloaded over 20,000,000 times annually. Anthony Evans has voiced the gospel for over 20 years and has emerged as one of Christian music's premier worship leaders and singer/songwriters. Along the way, Anthony has released ten solo projects, (the last two climbing all the way to #1 on Billboard's Top Gospel Album charts). In recent years, Anthony has been working in Los Angeles, where he appeared on NBC's The Voice. His time on the show led him to be discovered and enlisted to perform and produce vocals for various major networks. His journey in LA has led him to think more progressively about his own music as he desires to communicate in terms that connect with people spiritually, no matter where they are in their journey with God, without compromising his own faith and message. You are really going to appreciate this dynamic duo as their energy together is infectious and they are here to help inspire you to have faith even when life becomes challenging. In fact, this is a major pillar of the Evans family book that is due out in November: “Divine Disruption: Holding on to Faith When Life Breaks Your Heart” which explores the many setbacks that we face in life and how God breaks through with the power of hope. This book is unique in that it is written by Dr. Tony Evans and his four children - Chrystal Evans Hurst, Priscilla Shirer, Anthony Evans, and Jonathan Evans. They discuss their faith-shaking experiences: from the deep grief of losing six loved ones in less than two years' time, with the most devastating blow being the death of Lois Evans, the matriarch of the family. Our discussion today is a deep dive into how to have faith during the various hardships and challenges that we all face and how Dr. Evans and Anthony were able to maintain such strong faith during such a tragic time in their lives. We also chat about how to navigate through life's storms and turn your pain into purpose. We talk about the divide that exists between Christians and non-Christians and what can be done to help create unity. Dr. Evans and Anthony share how they've dealt with grief and were able to grow stronger as a family. We also get into how to have faith if you aren't a Christian and how shifting your perspective can make the biggest difference when faced with adversity and more! He serves on the pastoral staff at Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship in Dallas, Texas. His latest book is Your Time is Now. They discuss building time into your day to purposefully hear from God and the biblical importance of rest. BEST QUOTES "God will use your greatest misery for your greatest ministry.""A lot of people want to discount the journey for the goal, not realizing that the journey makes you ready for the goal when it comes.""Comparison is a killer of purpose.""I want people to be known, loved, valued, and spiritually developed so they can be commissioned.""We find value in our work, but we don't realize our power is in our rest.""If you are exhausted, then you will become an enemy of your own vision.""There is a place for eating and drinking the bread of life. For walking with God. For resting. For pulling back and being a great leader who trusts the people they hire and put in place.""You cannot be high impact when you are high fatigue.""As a pastor's son, I can tell you now, that if you don't prioritize your family they will know that they are not the priority and that's why a lot of PK kids go left, because the ministry was more important than them and they can feel it.""If you are a micromanager what you are saying to your staff is that you really don't trust them.""There is a realization that pastor's have to understand that God will allow those hard times and trials because He needs you to let go.""When you are exacerbated, it may be God prying it out of your hands, saying you are frustrated because you need to let go." My guest for The Happy Hour #357 is Dr. Tony Evans! Dr. Tony Evans is the founder and senior pastor of Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship in Dallas. He just released a new book called U-Turns: Reversing the Consequences in Your Life. Y’all. I don’t normally get nervous for interviews but I was SO excited to talk to Dr. Evans. He is truly such a wise leader and I’m honored he is joining me on the podcast today. In this episode, he talks about finding true rest and hope in the person of God rather than our own solutions, and what it looks like to align our life choices with the word of God. Dr. Evans also dives into what is going on in our world right now and the problem of attaching Jesus to our culture and agendas. It feels like there is just as much division in the church as there is in our nation and it can cause us to lose sight of the Kingdom by focusing on saving our culture. Dr. Evans dropped SO many truth bombs in this interview, but he really impacted me when he said “God is not going to skip the church house to fix the White House.” Connect with Jamie Facebook // Twitter // Instagram // YouTube GET ALL THE LINKS FROM THE SHOW HERE See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

"...Until we see ourselves and each other as God sees us, and respond with an intentional embrace of his oneness, we will forever ring flat in a world that longs to hear the liberating cadence of truth." In today's episode Scott reads from and reflects ond Oneness Embraced by Tony Evans. Tony is the senior pastor of Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship in Dallas, TX. 1. What comes to mind when you hear the word “Oneness?” What do you envision when you think about racial oneness? How have you seen the discussion and the reality of racial oneness embraced in your local community change over time? 2. Tony Evans says racism still exists because the church, which is the most qualified to talk about racial reconciliation, has not addressed its root. How has the root of racism been addressed at churches you’ve been part of throughout your life? 3. “Cognitive Dissonance” is defined as holding contradicting views simultaneously. What contradicting views do you hold or struggle with currently? 4. “Authentic oneness comes from the outgrowth of our shared lives, not simply through a cross-cultural experience here and there.” How are you sharing life experiences with different people? 5. “Oneness is the preeminent vehicle that God displays His power and presence and also His glory.” How are you embodying oneness throughout your week? 6. “People struggle with reconciling spiritual beliefs with social realities.” How has this been true for you this past year? 7. Who are people in your weekly life that are different from you—racially, socially, or economically—that you might take the opportunity to shake their hand and invite them into a dialogue to learn about them and their heritage? 8. How do you contribute to racial division in your church? How do you contribute to racial reconciliation within your church? How about within the specific row in which you sit every week?

Meet Dr. Tony Evans, the senior pastor of the Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship in Dallas, and one of the country’s most respected leaders in evangelical circles. As a pastor, teacher, author and speaker, he serves the body of Christ through his unique ability to communicate complex theological truths through simple, yet profound, illustrations. While addressing the practical issues of today, Dr. Evans is known as a relevant expositor — and at no time might his insights be more relevant than they are now, in a country wracked by division and disunity over political and racial problems. “The theology of unity is critical right now. Unity is oneness of purpose, not uniformity of persons,” Dr. Evans says, adding that God “will not allow His Unified Person to be comfortable in a disunified environment. … God’s glory will only be manifested in biblical unity. When Satan is able to keep us illegitimately disunified, we keep God’s glory at bay.” Dr. Evans says the church has been a “co-conspirator” in slavery and Jim Crow discrimination, by “giving it theological and religious sanction, either by actively endorsing or passively not speaking against it.” But now, he says, the church must lead racial reconciliation, effecting change by serving others. “When we can get into a serving mentality rather than a seminar mentality,” he says, “then we can see the fruits of racial reconciliation.”
Jonathan welcomes Dr. Tony Evans to Candid Conversations to discuss the Church's role in fighting racism, the importance of living out our identity in Christ, and his plan to unite churches to overcome racial barriers in our communities.Tony Evans is the senior pastor of Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship in Dallas, Texas. The Marriage Minute (https://kcrpodcast.com/https-cdn-evbuc_-com-images-49085179-170557929261-1-original/)Apostle Ken Giles began full-time ministry in 1993 as an inner-city Missions Leader in Dallas, Texas, while at Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship under Dr. Tony Evans. He later served there as Assistant Executive Director of their nonprofit corporation. In 1998, he returned to his hometown of Beaumont, Texas, and served as Pastor of Outreach at Cathedral of Faith Baptist Church and Executive Director of their nonprofit corporation. In the year 2000, Lincoln Bible Church was planted in the Beaumont/Port Arthur Area, but has since relocated to the Greater Houston, Texas Area. Apostle Giles has a certification in Nonprofit Management for the University of Texas, A Master of Education Administration from Prairie View A&M University and a Master of Theology from Southeast Texas Theological Seminary. He is in the process of completing his dual doctorate in Christian Education and Theology from Kingsway Theological Seminary. Pastor Sheila Giles has served in church leadership for over two decades. She has a Master of Divinity from Houston Graduate School of Theology and is in the process of completing her Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Texas Woman’s University. Why did you write this type of book and why is it for “now”? “The Marriage Minute: 5 Quick Biblical Tips to Permanently Improve Your Marriage and Family.” These tips are straight from God’s Word. No fluff. No personal interpretations. No lengthy discussions. Why did you choose this type of format? Part of your title, and in the image, says the readers can do this in 60 seconds. How can someone use this book in only one minute per day and improve their marriage? You emphasize in the title that these 5 Biblical Tips will “permanently improve your marriage and family.” This is good for those who are currently married, of course. But what about those who are just contemplating marriage. How can they apply these tips to “getting started on the right foot?” In today’ society, there is the problem with divorce. What if someone has gone through a divorce. Would your book be able to help them, even though they are no longer married? We’ve talked about the marriage aspect. Let’s shift to family. That implies children as well. How can your 5 Biblical Tips help someone with improving their family? I believe in Proverbs 22:6, which states, “Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.” Does your book help parents to do that? How do you counsel someone whose children have gone astray? I know there are some parents or grandparents listening to us right now that probably have children or grandchildren that have rejected the Faith, living and doing things that are not in accordance with the Christian Faith. What hope can you give to them? This book is written to help walk people into having a Godly marriage. What if one spouse is born again and the other is not. Will your book still be able to make an impact in that marriage? And your book is exactly what is needed in this society today. I love the fact it is simple, “The Word of God” put in such a way that can be consumed in spoonful’s, just 60 seconds a day. Where can someone get a copy of your book? Apostle Ken, if someone wanted to reach out to you and Pastor Sheila, to get more information, on your book, your Christian Marriage Certification Program or to just ask a question, how can they do that? How can they get in touch with you? If you want to ensure your marriage and your family can survive in this climate, you need Apostle Ken and Pastor Sheila Giles book, “The Marriage Minute: 5 Quick Biblical Tips to Permanently Improve Your Marriage and Family.” Use the links down below to order your copy today! In fact, order three or four copies! Pass them out to couples in your church. Sponsor several books and put them in the church...
Christian Marriage and Family Counseling Certification Apostle Ken and Pastor Sheila Giles (https://kcrpodcast.com/https-cdn-evbuc_-com-images-49085179-170557929261-1-original/)In today’s society, Christianity is under attack like never before. The persecution has started. What has been witnessed in foreign nations is now coming to America. And it all started back in the 1960’s with the attack on the institution of marriage. The devil has been attacking marriage since the Garden of Eden and these attacks have intensified. The foundation of the institution of marriage is crumbling. It is so important to solidify this foundation from future erosion. In order to do this, it will take deliberate action. But, what should you do? How can you protect your marriage from these attacks? How can you help others you love or care about to protect their marriages? Is there a way to do this that works? Well, my guests today are experts in this area and they are here to answer these questions and more… I have had the blessing of interviewing Apostle Ken and Pastor Sheila Giles, of the Lincoln Bible Church, just outside of Houston, Texas, a little over a year or so ago. We discussed their ministry and their book, “Prayer & Marriage and the Leadership Roles of the Husband and Wife.” Since that interview, Apostle Ken and Pastor Sheila joined our Evangelism Radio broadcast team! Their program, “Living and Leading in Truth and Love” can be heard Sunday’s, Tuesday’s and Thursday’s at 5pm ET and also on Friday’s at 8pm ET at www.evangelismradio.com (http://www.evangelismradio.com/). Apostle Ken Giles began full-time ministry in 1993 as an inner-city Missions Leader in Dallas, Texas, while at Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship under Dr. On today’s interview, I invited them back on to discuss their, “Christian Marriage and Family Counseling and Certification” program. This is exciting! This is something that is absolutely needful in today’s society! What brought about the need for the “Christian Marriage and Family Counseling Certification” program? Why now? Is this local to Houston only? You have the ability to help Christians throughout the world with this training? Will the principles you teach from the Houston area work for Christians in Kenya, or Germany or Australia? I understand how you could do online training, but how do you do online “certification training?” How long does the certification training take to complete? Can they travel to your location or can you hold centrally located training at another church facility, even in another state? If someone completes this training, what does it allow them to do with the certification? I know that may difficult to travel because of the Corona Virus situation. That’s why I see a lot of training moving online right now. Is that where your major effort is moving right now? So, someone decided they want to be certified to conduct this training for
