It's Casual Friday my friends, and boy do we have a lot to celebrate. Elon Musk and Donald Trump are having an ugly public break up and we are here for it. Bit what does all this mean for Trump's Big Beautiful Bill? Heather "Digby" Parton is here to help us break it all down. Check out Digby's column at Salon: https://www.salon.com/writer/heather_digby_parton As well as her blog Digby's Hullabaloo: https://digbysblog.net/ In the Fun Half, Republican Senator James Lankford says that that the Big Beautiful Bill will move millions of people from Medicare to employee-funded health care. Hmm, we weren't aware that this huge tax cut for rich people that guts the social safety net is also a job creator. It's a head scratcher. After that, Donald Trump seems to suggest that the Nazis are still in power in Germany. He tells the German chancellor that D-Day must be a bad day for Germany, because, you know, it was huge turning point in the defeat of Hitler's dictatorship. And a former denouncer of Andrew Cuomo who is also running against him in the NYC mayor's race has had a change of heart and is now endorsing him. Don't rank Jessica Ramos NYC folks! And James Carville has a strange bit of commentary on Jewish donors to political campaigns. Fáilte ar ais chuig eagrán nua de Ar An Lá Seo ar an 6ú lá de mí an Mheithimh, liomsa Lauren Ní Loingsigh. I 1975 tháinig an nuacht amach go mbeadh an phacáiste comhrialtas chun dífhostaíocht a laghdú agus go mbeadh boilsciú ann, agus bhí plé cráite ann I rith an deireadh seachtain. I 1986 bhí coimhlint idir stailceoirí agus gardaí agus mar sin de tháinig an airm isteach chun é a stopadh I mBaile Átha Cliath. I 1986 bhí coiste nua sa chontae ag iarradh cuimhneacháin a bheith acu in Iarthar an chontae in aice leis an Spanish Armada. I 1997 throid Fianna Fáil faoin tSionainn. Sin Doctor & The Medics le Spirit In The Sky – an t-amhrán is mó ar an lá seo I 1986 Ag lean ar aghaidh le nuacht cheoil ar an lá seo I 1974 tháinig Dolly Parton agus RCA Records amach le hamhrán darbh ainm I Will Always Love You – bhí sé a dara hamhrán ón albam Jolene. Rinne sí taifead ar an amhrán bliain roimhe agus scríobh sí an t-amhrán do Porter Wagoner. I 1987 shroich Whitney Houston uimhir a haon lena amhrán I Wanna Dance With Somebody – a dara hamhrán a shroich uimhir a haon sa Bhreatain. Shroich sí uimhir a haon I dtír eile agus bhuaigh sí Grammy don amhrán I 1988. Agus ar deireadh breithlá daoine cáiliúla ar an lá seo rugadh aisteoir Paul Giamatti I Meiriceá I 1967 agus rugadh aisteoir Jason Isaacs sa Bhreatain ar an lá seo I 1963 agus seo chuid de na rudaí a rinne sé. Beidh mé ar ais libh an tseachtain seo chugainn le heagrán nua de Ar An Lá Seo. Welcome back to another edition of Ar An Lá Seo on the 6th of June, with me Lauren Ní Loingsigh 1975: the coalition package to cut unemployment and inflation was due to be ready by the weekend following agonising deliberations. 1986: a violent confrontation between corporation strikers and gardai ended in an army squad being forced to abandon a clean up operation in central dublin. 1986: A new committee was formed in co.clare to have a memorial erected in west clare to the spanish armada. 1997: Fianna Fail had a 'dogfight' over shannon. That was Doctor and The Medics with Spirit In The Sky – the biggest song on this day in 1986 Onto music news on this day In 1974 RCA Records released 'I Will Always Love You' by Dolly Parton, the second single from Parton's thirteenth solo studio album, Jolene. Recorded on June 13, 1973, the singer wrote the song for her one-time partner and mentor Porter Wagoner, from whom she was professionally splitting at the time. 1987 Whitney Houston had her second UK No.1 single with 'I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me)'. It reached No.1 in over a dozen other countries and won a Grammy Award for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance in 1988. And finally celebrity birthdays on this day – actor Paul Giamatti was born in America in 1967 and actor Jason Isaacs was born in the UK on this day in 1963 and this is some of the stuff he has done. I'll be back with you next week with another edition of Ar An Lá Seo.

From airport bomb scares over snack food to a Jolie kid legally dropping half their surname... today’s Glossy’s has it all. Ellen Pompeo caused TSA chaos over sunflower seeds, Pax Jolie was snapped stumbling out of the Chateau Marmont at 2:30am, and Shiloh quietly said “see ya” to Brad. Meanwhile, Dolly Parton politely declined Meghan Markle’s podcast invite... probably too busy recording her next collab with, I dunno, Mr. Whippy and Missy Higgins.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Lorde's new album is out June 27th! She's spilling her thoughts in an interview with Rolling Stone, and its inspiring a thoughtful conversation between Sarah and Vinnie.
It's a Sam-solo casual Friday and Digby is here to wrap up the week that was. Sam takes in the Fox News discussion about the pope, which acknowledges that Jesus would be on the side of migrants if he was alive today, but also wonders whether he'd be as political as some of the leaders of the Catholic church have been. Then Sam and Digby marvel at JD Vance's ominous addendum to Donald Trump's tariffs agenda, mainly that American parents should be worried that if their children have to go off to fight in a war they should have American-made guns. They also discuss the Trump administration's cruel crack down on immigrants and their communities. Check out Digby's writing at Salon and on her blog: https://digbysblog.net/ After that, we hear from David Feldman who's upset about ICE, not for the reasons you might imagine. It's...interesting. After that, Sam decides to grant us a Freebie Friday, so get your kicks in while you can. We talk Tim Pool and his new academic definition of war, which basically includes any and everything so he can justify the Trump administration taking extra-constitutional actions to crack down on people it doesn't like. They also take in Biden's appearance on The View, where he tries to make the case that he wasn't experiencing mental decline while in office by trailing off and having Jill Biden speak on his behalf while he hangs his head in silence. It's really quite sad. After that, we hear from a trans member of the military who's devastated that his losing his career and perhaps his pension and other benefits as a result of the Supreme Court's ruling that allows the DoD to purge the military of trans people. A caller from Massachusetts mentioned these resources for people concerned about ICE's activities in the state: Luce Massachusetts: https://www.instagram.com/luce_hotline/ Blog WorcesterSucks: https://www.worcestersucks.email/ And here's the info about the protest Sam mentioned in support of Palestine in Brooklyn on Saturday: https://www.instagram.com/palawda/?hl=en Become a member at JoinTheMajorityReport.com: https://fans.fm/majority/join Follow us on TikTok here!: https://www.tiktok.com/@majorityreportfm Check us out on Twitch here!: https://www.twitch.tv/themajorityreport Find our Rumble stream here!: https://rumble.com/user/majorityreport Check out our alt YouTube channel here!: https://www.youtube.com/majorityreportlive Gift a Majority Report subscription here: https://fans.fm/majority/gift Subscribe to the ESVN YouTube channel here: https://www.youtube.com/esvnshow Subscribe to the AMQuickie newsletter here: https://am-quickie.ghost.io/ Join the Majority Report Discord! https://majoritydiscord.com/ Get all your MR merch at our store: https://shop.majorityreportradio.com/ Get the free Majority Report App!: https://majority.fm/app Go to https://JustCoffee.coop and use coupon code majority to get 10% off your purchase! Sarah's got the latest on Dolly Parton, including a surprising necessity for when she visits California. You'll NEVER guess which artist is “going country” next. A 6th grade science project tells us everything we never asked about cat hygiene. Grandparents are the best support system, but what do they let the kids do? Plus, Vinnie's memory proves worse than ever in today's game time.

The TLC story will be told in a stage musical called "CrazySexyCool". The musical will premiere at Arena Stage in Washington, DC, in June 2026. Dolly Parton is known all over the world for her legendary country music career, her good heart and her big boobs. It's Friday! Sam and Emma welcome Heather 'Digby' Parton back to the program for a look at another very busy week in news. First, Sam and Emma run through updates on HHS' mass firings, Dem lawmakers' demand for the release of the abducted Tufts student, Trump's tariffs, Trump's targeting of Smithsonian over “ideology”, the Senate GOP's love for overdraft fees, HUD's wage theft, Judge Boasberg's disciplining of the Trump Administration, the scrapping of Elise Stefanik's UN role, Elon Musk's attempt to buy out the Wisconsin Supreme Court election, and Trump's executive order to cancel union contracts, also touching on Schumer's absurd messaging campaign in the wake of his budget capitulation, and watching Elise Stefanik grapple with her scrapped promotion live. Digby then joins, as she, Sam, and Emma dive right into the genuine danger between the lines of absurdity in the Trump Administration's Signal scandal, from the clear sign that they're moving away from official (documented) channels to the executive role being played by psycho-White nationalist Stephen Miller. After expanding on the horrifying aesthetic role Donald Trump is playing in the administration, and the tightening of the inner circle in Trump 2.0, Parton reflects on the genuine shock over how quickly US institutions folded to the threat of fascism, from Columbia to corporations to major law firms, and tackles the deliberate nature of the Trump Administration's agenda of economic chaos, before wrapping up by touching on the few remaining levers of power Democrats have to push back against fascism. And in the Fun Half: Sam and Emma watch as the Trump Cabinet take various unique paths to avoid any questions about the ongoing Signal Scandal, Marco Rubio unpacks exactly why due process doesn't matter, and Josh Hawley goes insane over the right to disappear student activists. They also dive into some recent controversy on the left and why playing Dave Rubin's games with you Dave Rubin's prizes, and talk with Vitor from Framingham about political conversations with right-wingers, plus, your calls and IMs!
