What does it take to survive the wilderness? Who does it take? A soldier, a talker, a hunter, a witch? Who lives and who starves? In the wilderness, food is the only thing that matters -- and while your stomachs go empty and wounds begin to ache, one thing remains truly certain... the World will Feast. COLD SUN is a visceral roleplaying game by Robert Cambias about scarcity, survival, and adventure, for 1-8 players. It takes inspiration from John Harper's Blades in the Dark, Patrick Stuart's Veins of the Earth, and the OSR (Old School Renaissance) movement. robert-cambias.itch.io/cold-sun

Amanda joins Barney as co-host for the first time. Their "evergreen" topic in this episode is character creation. They also give some updates about current projects and recommend Patrick Stuart's Silent Titans, Luka Rejec's Ultraviolet Grasslands and Donn Stroud, Fiona Maeve Geist and Sean McCoy's Mothership module Dead Planet. There are also messages from Jason Connerley of Nerd's RPG Variety Cast to respond to. So many indie games and game designers are mentioned it's mind melting. James Patrick Stuart and Lucy Davis recently joined host Elias in the cave for Press Day for the upcoming release of their new Disney Show 'The Villains of Valley View' premiering June 3rd. We enjoyed watching an early release here at the "cave" cant wait for everyone to check it out! “ The Villains of Valley View” - When teenage supervillain Havoc stands up to the head of the League of Villains, her family is forced to change their identities and relocate to a sleepy Texas suburb. With the help of her effervescent new neighbor Hartley, Havoc - going incognito as “Amy” - must somehow hide her superpowers and quell her villainous nature in favor of something she and the rest of her family have fought against all their lives: being normal. Stage trained actress Isabella Pappas (as Havoc/Amy) leads a talented ensemble cast including Lucy Davis ("Chilling Adventures of Sabrina") as Eva/Surge, James Patrick Stuart ("General Hospital") as Vic/Kraniac, Malachi Barton (Disney Channel's "Under Wraps") as Colby/Flashform, Reed Horstmann ("The Expanding Universe of Ashley Garcia") as Jake/Chaos and newcomer Kayden Muller-Janssen as Hartley. Patricia Belcher ("The Week of") recurs as Celia. “The Villains of Valley View” is created by Chris Peterson and Bryan Moore (“Lab Rats”), who also serve as executive producers and showrunners. Pat Stuart of Operant Canine spent 12 years in Australia's Army Special Forces before diving into dog training full time. He has been mentored and coached by some of the world's best dog trainers, most notably Michael and Bart Bellon and has studied everything from hands-off force free training to old school compulsion. He is a certified instructor for the NePoPo® system of dog training. The method “prepares dogs for the rigors of life and creates an active free thinking dog ready to engage with his environment. It also prepares a dog to receive a correction without ever dropping in motivation.” Pat is also an active competitor in PSA, a certified decoy and the PSA Assistant Regional Director for Australia. He also co-hosts a weekly podcast dedicated to dog behavioral training called 'The Canine Paradigm'. We're having a little obedience problem with puppy Ryka the Belgian Malinois, so we called Pat for some much needed advice on what to do! We cover: - Operant conditioning - NePoPo Training - Why Corrections are Important for Dogs - Aggression - Leash Reactivity - "My dog snarls & gets aggressive with the prong collar. What should I do?" - "My dog is never not chasing cats. Jeremy Saulnier's 2015 claustrophobic punk horror masterpiece is the jumping off point for Season 2 of You Should Watch This. Anton Yelchin, Imogen Poots and Patrick Stewart star in a tale of a travelling punk band who find themselves under siege from a group of neo-Nazis after walking in on a crime scene. Ed pitches the film that he thinks people would be talking in the same terms of Hitchcock if it wasn't such an overt horror film. But will Simon be able to overcome his distaste for horror films?
In this week's outtakes, we talk Disney war propaganda films, the bizarre professional relationship between Patrick Stuart and Seth McFarlane, Carie's encounter with a particularly brazen mouse, and there's a surprising amount of discussion about character actor Steve Zahn. Brian Brophy has been over 40 films and TV shows. Brian played one of the top rated Star Trek villains hallmarked by an incredible scene opposite Patrick Stuart debating the definitions of life and consciousness. He's taken his vast acting experience to the Caltech theater department, where he helped produce the first Star Trek musical, "Boldly Go", and also to budding actor Jimmy, and want-to-be actors Griff and Kevin. Speaking of questionable intelligence, the SYJ crew also bemoans the new phenomenon of Pokémon Go, which already sucked in Jimmy. That's two things that end in Go. Weird.

James Patrick Stuart (Dick Roman) is our special guest for our last podcast for season seven! Dean (Jensen Ackles) and Sam (Jared Padalecki) prepare for battle with Dick Roman (guest star James Patrick Stuart). Dick’s in the final phase of his plan and the Winchesters must team up with Castiel (guest star Misha Collins), Bobby (guest star Jim Beaver), Meg (guest star Rachel Miner) and Kevin (guest star Osric Chau), the prophet, to stop him. However, Dick is one of the smartest enemies they’ve ever faced so it’s a mind game to see who can keep the upper hand. Robert Singer directed the episode written by Sera Gamble (#723).
This episode takes John D. and Gen on a generation's final journey in Star Trek: Nemesis. We comment about the EASY killer button, the overuse of green, the history of Romulus and Remus, the choice of not going the Patrick Stuart vs Patrick Stuart way, the ill fitting Federation suits and, of course, a little Troy rant. We also give our humble opinion on Data’s death, the implications of a Betazoid wedding and the 40 minute final battle. We give our take on The Dark Knight Rises casting news, the first images from X-men: First Class and we go through the Academy Award Best Movie nominees. We of course talk video games and brush upon Borderland and DC Universe Online with a smidgen of Mass Effect for PS3. You can find us on iTunes under ''Legends Podcast''.
