BENJAMIN CREME - The Star and the UFO Phenomena - Scottish-born professional artist who paints images of an inner reality perceived through meditation and claims to be a herald of "the reappearance of the Christ" at the end of the twentieth century. Born in Glasgow in 1922, early in his life Creme became attracted to theosophical literature, especially the writings of Alice A. Bailey. They say that most businesses don't make it five years! So what about one that makes it SEVENTY FIVE years?? Today, we are talking about Ann's Dari-Creme up in Glen Burnie outside of the Marley Station Mall! There's a lot to unpack here, from a start in Coney Island to the change of ownership in 1976, when Howard and Thea Pinsky, along with their partner Joe, purchased the iconic "hot dog stand" based on the number of rolls purchased from a local bread distributor! Sadly, Howard passed away in 2021, but Joe and Howard's family are carrying on the tradition.
